Yup, sad indeed, seems it's over and out for Vertcoin... I will not sell my coins and hope for e ressurection but highly doubt it'll be able to get to the good old value again

Yup, sad indeed, seems it's over and out for Vertcoin... I will not sell my coins and hope for e ressurection but highly doubt it'll be able to get to the good old value again

As long as the services around the coin are continued to be built (dev/community effort) and as long as the coin is being traded with (24hr volume = 80000$ which is quite healthy) the coin cannot die. Mining network is still quite strong, which tell me that there is a lot of people that believe in this coin.

Honestly guys, do you think that Litecoin was simply going up and up all the time? All coins had their ups and downs, VTC is no different in that respect. My only suggestion is mine and continue to spread good word on VTC and continue to contribute to community as much as you can, good times are ahead.

But don't forget, this is a VERY young coin, only 2 months old. Bitcoin exists since 2009. Do you think that BTC would be here if it weren't (initially) for its small community who believed in it and went above and beyond in order to develop and promote it?

The problem these days is that everyone is looking to make as much as possible short term profit, I understand that some people see this as an additional income on a monthly basis, they need to cover electricity costs, rig costs etc but patience and persistence is the key here.

I just moved all my coins from cryptsy back to the wallet. Cryptsy was one of the best and worst things for this coin.

Few people are trying to lower price of VTC at cryptsy, selling few of them at ~20% of current price.

Same person/bot is active on the Darkcoin market as well filling both sides of the order book with .16 coin orders.  Pushing it one way at will.

You kids these days have no patience . Look at the fundamentals. Its a strong coin. you honestly think wdc/quark etc are better than Vertcoin? Do as you wish. But dont forget upswings in this "industry" happen quickly, and as long as the dev support is there this will remain one of the few promising coins.

Edit: Looks like we are headed into the 3rd phase.
1rst was early miners/adopters.
2nd was people who were trying to ride the Feb upswing ( and probably lost some $ so you cant blame them for being moving on)
and now the bargain hunters will move in and we will settle before the next upswing once Vert develops itself further
