Response from Adam from VOS: "Thanks for the detailed writeup noerc! Things like that really help give us the kind of insights we need! We were going to launch Vertcoin sometime this month, but decided to wait until we launch our full coin-to-coin suite which is still under going further development and testing. Since we've already done the initial background work for Vertcoin I can tell you that it (along with Auroracoin) are the next two coins that will be for sure appearing on our exchange; and we thank the Vertcoin community for their support and interest in joining the VoS family! We're pretty excited for that launch! Right now we are looking for other coins to launch with that update as well!" Great job everyone, this is a proper way to support and promote your coin! Very well! At the current difficulty we all can quickly push those projects just by donating our mining profits. Btw, is it ok to mine directly to a donation address or isn't that a good idea? I always see those warnings on trading platforms that you should not mine to their deposit address. Is this also true here? |

The problem is, as other users noted, these project vanish and never get publicity  |

It's been almost a month now since VTC's value dropped. I'm very close in dumping my coins at -50% expected value  Like I said before, people are too inpatient and are looking very short term. Let us know when you decide to sell a bunch of coins, I'll be among first ones to buy Sure I'll let you know. I need to pay electric bills before end of the month and will hold a few. |

any reason why vertminer 0.5.3 was taken down?
I'll get this sorted soon - I forgot all about it, I pulled it and rolled back to 0.52 on the site because the archive I had uploaded was missing some files, and I also had a user report an issue with 0.53 to me (exactly what that was, I can't recall now) - I don't think there's much in it performance wise anyway. |
