1581  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin dropping and Ethereum rising? on: July 23, 2016, 02:40:59 PM
Ethereum and TheDAO were obviously pumped by the whales, and it's not like it is happening for the first time. This is not a genuine interest from the masses.
1582  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [Warning] USA Govt. on: July 23, 2016, 02:35:17 PM
Don't have the time to read, but will do it tomorrow.

Anonymous and decentralized is a cryptomyth. All crypto is open and centralized. Anyone who thinks otherwise is fooling themselves. IMHO the general public do not want anonymous. Only criminals want that feature. It's a throwback to hiding your identity to use SilkRoad. We better all leave that shit behind.

It's not, but pulling this out will require vast amount of work and people. There are already few works in that direction. I can agree with the anonymity part though.

Again, IMHO all crypto needs is to be easy to use and the funds contained in wallets to be secure from theft. Remember, you are asking non-technical people to manage their own individual banks in their home.

At the moment neither is true.

This is 100% true. I've said number of times that digital currencies needs simplicity in order to get better adoption. You can have the best tech out there, but you are going nowhere with it, if you don't attract the "average" Joe. Everything else is just a temporary speculation.
1583  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Please help us to choose a new FailCommunity's logo. on: July 18, 2016, 03:31:55 PM
I like the logo, where can I buy this coin? Is this listed in poloniex yet. Grin or just yobit

Currently only on EmpoEx, but didn't used them lately so I can't really say. Exchanges are not a priority now, because we are not ready with the code and wallet yet.

Yes. give me sometime.  I will send you those designs by night so that you can post and we can have review from everyone on the team. Smiley

No worries bro. Smiley
1584  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Please help us to choose a new FailCommunity's logo. on: July 18, 2016, 03:19:38 PM
What if we combine the one with shadows/silhouettes of the people with the latest 3D one i made and bit of color change like Spartak said red color on fail with no texture.

Heya, Isaac Smiley

That's actually a good idea, but then we shouldn't have a "community" inscription. People must be changed though, because we risk to face some legal issues.

i dont think that will a problem since its not anyone's face per say.. just silhouettes.. of humans.. and they can't be claimed by anyone.

yes ill make one with and without community inscription

It will become too complicated if we have the inscription bro. People around FAIL already imply about community so.. don't waste your time. Smiley Funny FAIL and people around it would be enough imo. I hope to hear some more opinions from other people as well.

I've managed to find one of my old attempts with the FAIL man. Smiley

1587  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Please help us to choose a new FailCommunity's logo. on: July 18, 2016, 01:41:37 PM

Roll Eyes couldn't resist adding something Cheesy

almost DONE

you can add the weird FAIL text too Wink

Btw, I am deadly serious about this, no matter how the name sounds. Smiley
1588  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Thoughts on upcoming ICO for RAZORMIND on: July 18, 2016, 12:56:40 PM
Why do you have razorcoin in the cointelegraph interview here:

http://cointelegraph.com/news/uk-based-razormind-emerges-as-blockchain-rival-to-ethereum-microsoft-ibm-and-eris

We need some clarification on this.

Yeah, that's a very good question. There is even a link to the RZR's thread in the article.

Roll Eyes couldn't resist adding something Cheesy
But I dont know, it may be kinda funny but is the fail part clear enough?
Not to much community feedback for your request I guess.
You should have throw a contest here, for people to design logos for you.
Amount of ideas would surprise you.
You may have to listen to your inner voice on this one, or team members Smiley

I have asked every member of our team to be "on hold", until we finish our wallet. We are really serious about this. I can run a contest, but we are out of money, since my investor abandoned me and I wouldn't ask for money from our team.

I prefer the logo with fail facing forward. It's one of the simple ones, but from my discussions with one of my SEO minded friends, logos that are clearly recognizable (and legible) tend to stick with users the best. I like the design of some of the other better. Also really liked the guy falling down one in the circle. Very identifiable picture that is persisting in my mind even as I type this post. That's a good thing, as Marth Stewart would say.

Which one exactly?

I would shorten the name to simply 'Fail Comm' and build logo from there. Will doodle around and get back to you.

Maybe it is a good idea. Let's see it. Smiley
1590  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Please help us to choose a new FailCommunity's logo. on: July 17, 2016, 05:43:55 PM
A little funny you say...
I think the closest to being funny are the first two reversed 'F' logos.
The one with 'community' over letter 'F' seems quite cheerful  Roll Eyes

This one is created by me and tbh, I like it the most, but majority of FAIL team has different opinion. Smiley A bit of retouching could make it better. Btw, my first idea was to have a Fail man in the logo and a friend of mine created this one:

The idea was to have community inscription under it. Nothing more.
1591  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Please help us to choose a new FailCommunity's logo. on: July 17, 2016, 05:22:51 PM
I thought the one I picked was official anyway, you can ask your designer to create similar to that, make it colorful or better use real person face I'm sure it will generate more votes..

Nah, we are using it as temporary. We are still in development and we are not promoting anything.

Hi @spartak my vote goes to

I also vote for this one, it resembles the flag of Ancap. Logos with mirrored F are a bit confusing.

Спасибо, братан. Smiley
1592  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Please help us to choose a new FailCommunity's logo. on: July 17, 2016, 05:13:01 PM

I would say that most of your logos have very negative connotations.
Very dystopic, undesirable or even frightening.
If that IS the entire point, than those two shown above are the best.
Especially the second from the left one. George Orwell seal of approval

S*it! Grin Btw those two are created by Isaac and I personally don't like them, but respected his work and posted them. The idea is logo to be somehow funny, simple yet professional. Probably that is why I don't like a single one (even the ones I created). Thanks for that opinion.. it means a lot.
1593  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Please help us to choose a new FailCommunity's logo. on: July 17, 2016, 04:59:56 PM
Hi @spartak my vote goes to

Thanks for your opinion bro. I still think that this one is one of the worst. Grin

Since you are targeting the social network  I think the logo with the shadows of the people in circle is the best choice, but you should at least give it some colors to make it more pleasing to the eyes..

Well, we can't use this one, because part of it is from a website, which is with free content, but using images for commercial purposes is forbidden. I posted it to serve as a example.

so what about wallet update?

Hello,

We are still FAILing. Smiley

Better join the discussion about our logo. The wallet will come one way or another.

Cheers,
Spartak

Heya,

I created a discussion thread in the Altcoins section, because a lot of people are not following this thread. Will try to get some more opinions.

1596  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Please help us to choose a new FailCommunity's logo. on: July 17, 2016, 04:39:27 PM
Hello,

Me and Isaac (aizzaku), Lead Designer of FailCommunity are trying to create a new logo for quite some time now, but personally I feel that we still haven't created the right one. We started as FailCoin, a simple scrypt cryptocurrency launched back in March 2014, but currently we are developing a community with it's own cryptocurrency. So far we are team of 12 people from 10 countries around the world. Unfortunately, we only have 1 (though extremely skilled) developer who is very busy. That is why things are moving slowly, but we'll reach the end. Smiley FAIL will be targeting Social networks and YouTube and at the moment we are working on a new wallet with integrated YouTube and Twitter. I would like to ask for some of your time to share your thoughts on the examples below. Thank you in advance!

I like your idea Cheesy red is always good. not too dark red tho. how can it become funnier? Im missing the point on this Cheesy

Well, so far both with Issac agreed that using opposite "F" is a good idea and that's it. That's why I am trying to create an discussion so other people (outside the team too) to give their opinions, but so far nobody cares (again, outside FAIL team), because coins like TRUMP are more "interesting". Grin

I Do like this logo, awesome work Isaac!!

I think red is a good idea for the text, a different red to the circle.

It is FAIL after all. I still believe we need to stick with the simplicity. This one looks too complicated and unclear imo.

This looks great! awesome job Isaac!

EDIT: Haha, Leon. Don't you have some remarks on it? Smiley
1598  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] FailCommunity's FailCoin | Please help us to choose a new community logo on: July 17, 2016, 03:53:54 PM
Ela re malaka Smiley

I think that FAIL should be in red and the letters should be equal. I also think it should be something funnier. Smiley FAIL man was a good idea, but we kinda decided not to use it.

Hello,

Another example for logo from Isaac.

P.S. We are still here. Nothing to worry about.

Cheers,
Spartak

expect dozens of projects to follow this lead.

Actually, FAIL is the first project of this kind. It doesn't meant to work in this way, but it will use social networks to tip/help people.
