Nice ones!
I do like the idea of "Node" simple and easy to remember, not to mention that it sticks to the core of our system! Great Job
I will make sure to include a thread at the end of the IPO so we could discuss this matter, and also to vote for the best proposed name.
If you were to improve something else (at this stage) what it will be?
I really appreciate your involvement! Thank You!
The only suggestion I have at this time is to get something out ASAP! It does not have to be perfect at first as it will be improved on over time. Too many times release dates keep slipping in the crypto world because the dev wants to make things perfect, introduce last minutes changes, etc. etc. Just look at NAS for example - it is on its way to becoming THE NXT clone simply because it has been released and is already on exchanges. I'd rather be in their shoes than in say NEM's because even though they might not have half the planned features of NEM, they are live and interest is growing. As the saying goes, a bird in the hand is worth two in the bush. It is far better to have a bare bones client released in the wild than to just have a promise of something amazing coming in the future. Let's get a basic functioning client out and then take it from there

I definitely think NXTL is right on track and could end up being H U G E!
I was just pointing out an easy way to at least cut back on some of the bogus sock puppets stakes - just removing people who registered and then proceeded directly to this thread would put a huge dent in the number of multistakers.
Skillroad - since NXTL isn't really a clone of NXT, have you thought of maybe changing the name? I'm sure we could all come up with something awesome (and then nobody would think of this awesome project as just a clone of NXT). I think the fact that it is being built using nodejs is awesome and something that should definitely be advertised!
The First idea of NXT Lite was to cover the issues that NXT originally had, to make a coin that is more optimized in terms of accessibility and fairness! But since they changed the technology, they've thought about a major rebranding! But currently all the resources are focused on the development of the coin itself so appearance comes last. But i personally think that once we finish with the IPO and officially launch as a coin we might get a new Name! Probably will decide in a community vote, to be fair. If it was up to you, what name would you give to it?? Hey Koop, that's great news! I think a community vote for a new name/branding would be ideal. I'll start thinking of some options to throw in the mix. This project is so much bigger than just "NXT Lite" - we need something epic! I'd love to see nodejs in the tagline or something as that is huge in technical circles right now. You guys focus on the IPO and client and all of us in the community can start thinking of the branding Thank you! I would love to see more active users like you! Cheers Hi Koop, I put a little thought into it and here's what I have come up with so far. How's about Node Next generation cryptocurrency platform built on Node.js Here are some other options for the name: harmony unison interbit hub cast syncd My fav is Node with the tagline mentioning Node.js. If you don't like these, I can certainly come up with more. I encourage everyone to contribute so the community can vote.

let me think ... NAS is purely POS, like NXT, and there is one guy owning 20% of all the coins out there? like, a fifth of all the transaction fees go to the same guy?
currency allready doomed.
Lets have a look at the NEM rich list, 1 or 2 month after release. Maybe you can buy NEM even cheaper than the stake price right after launch. I think a lot of stakeholder from the first 25 pages, who paid nothing for their stakes, will dump their coins as soon as they can. And I am sure some whales will buy it all and have something like 5% to maybe even 20% of all NEM eventually. There will definitely be people dumping their stakes looking for some quick BTC. Of course, there will be plenty of people, myself included, waiting to scoop them up

Everyone is just waiting BTC to react. They are scared with all the BTC at stamp or btc-e ready to panic sell.. just that.
Exactly! The fudsters on this thread seem to conveniently ignore that almost all cryptos are down significantly lately (save Blackcoin, Faircoin and your oddball coin that's currently being pumped). "The whales" aren't dumping, and most certainly not for NAS.

FYI - I got in touch with support a while back and they told me that they will not be offering the debit cards again as the bank they were using changed the rules (only individuals can purchase these cards directly from the issuing bank).
