221  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [PoS+PoW] eXocoin [EXO]-gen 2.0- dev. from scratch! Give-Away | Open Beta on: July 30, 2014, 04:50:47 PM
After this thread, I'm very tempted to tell the EXO community to take a long walk:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=709528.0

Anyone from EXO want to defend this piece of FUD?

That tool certainly doesn't represent the EXO community. In my opinion, he isn't even an EXO holder who is "talking his book". Quite the opposite - he knows a post like that will cause a backlash against Exocoin so he is intentionally trying to damage us.

Don't let him succeed - just ignore him.

I don't have a clue why did you washed me away from the investors but the fact that you removed me without any notice is just pissing me off. When you needed money you were very welcoming but now you've got enough and you're removing people one by one and don't even feel obligated to tell something in advance. If someone used the same IP as I did, then check it twice, geniuses, because I always use Tor.

Hmm, let's see....

You created your account on Apr 14 and immediately posted your payment in the NXTL thread.

You then posted again in the NXTL thread on Apr 21 stating that you were not added to the investor's list.

You did not post again until today, or more than 3 months later, to state that you are not a sock puppet.

I think you can tell which way my vote will go.

We need to hear the dev's plans as far as an exchange goes because the built-in exchange won't be ready for launch so either EXO  needs to be on a third party exchange like Bittrex or Poloniex or issued as a token on the NXT AE.

I'd rather skip the NXT AE myself and see EXO on an exchange but if that doesn't happen for whatever reasons the NXT AE is a good backup.

Ok, I think I got the winner  Grin

Network Oriented Distributed Economy

that was an early iteration of mine, but I tossed it because the word network is implied by node &  is also a tad too technical to appeal to the masses, and oriented doesn't really hold or add any meaning at all, it was basically just a placeholder for the O because I couldn't think of something more purposeful off the bat.

I stand by Nexus of the Open Digital Economy. I also think a subtitle is merited beyond just breaking down the letters, which is why I appended 'the new paradigm '.

beginning to wonder if putting a bounty on this is making it more competitive than collaborative..

Nexus of the Open Digital Economy
+1

Nexus wars?

New Order for a Decentralized Economy

or Digital

I like your first one, New Order Decentralized Economy.

LOL! So somehow my Network Oriented Distributed Economy is a copy of your Nexus of the Open Digital Economy? And it is "too technical" and doesn't "hold or add any meaning at all", yet "Nexus" does?

I'll stick with my entry of Network Oriented Distributed Economy, you stick with yours and everyone can vote on whichever one they like best out of all the submissions. Thanks!

1. Unlabel all groups of 2 people without questioning. If anybody wanted to make puppets he wouldn't stop with just one and would make at least 5-10. Also there is absolutely not any chance to prove that 2 account are puppets, not family/friends/roommates.
2. Check IPs of groups of 3 people. Unlabel everybody with Tor/Corporate/Education IPs.
3. Take a closer look on groups of 4-5 people with Tor IPs. If they didn't sign up to 4-5 accounts in a raw within few minutes unlabel them also.
4. PM all other people and ask them to explain how come they have the same IP as people in their groups.
5. See how it goes and think what to do.

If devs have more evidences than IPs we need to take them into consideration of course.

I think this is a solid strategy. Obviously there were people with huge groups of puppets (Koop mentioned one guy with 45). Those are the ones that we definitely want gone out of Node, not two people who state they are friends/partners/roomates.

@hypersire how come this strategy became unsolid and you voted for elimination every single person?

I didn't vote for the elimination of anybody, quite the opposite. I chose sustained because in all the cases, it is clear those people are all coming from the same IP so the possibility is always there that it really is only one person. It was the correct call to flag them.

The devs had already planned to give one stake to these cases where there were two users involved. I let them know that my vote is that it is ok to give 2 stakes to one IP if people post their case in this thread. There really are very few of those cases so it is simply not worth spending time, energy and hurt feelings over it. For example, the two guys who posted with the sock puppets - I see nothing wrong with giving them 2 stakes.

So bottom line, NOBODY WILL BE ROBBED OF THEIR STAKES! One stake per IP is guaranteed, possibly 2. I am personally OK with 2 since there are so few cases but that decision is up to the devs in the end.

The sock puppet removal was a huge success as it found one guy with 45 and others with tens of sock puppets. Those are the kind of people that need to be removed, not two people who claim to live together!

But in the document you voted "sustain" which means you agree with devs and all these people should lose their stakes.

This is not true that they will lose all of their stakes. The devs had already planned to allow them to keep one, I even recommended to give 2 as a maximum. Nobody will be kicked out of Node entirely stakeless.

 Cheesy

But with only 1 judge there´s no majority

I´m hoping we will have 100% with 4 judges in general  Smiley

What's your position, by the way? )

That's mine:

230  Economy / Gambling / Re: Ratings and Reviews of Sportsbooks. Ask books questions, problems and feedback on: July 10, 2014, 04:06:54 PM
... And how much BTC have we raised the past year with our offerings on Havelock and outside through VC?

The fact remains we've been operating for a full year, never missed any player payout or even been a hint of a scam like other sites that pop up and exit in months.. Knowing this very vocal community I can promise you if we didn't pay a user even fractions of a BTC, it would be plastered in many threads (including our own).... May I suggest you do further research and come back with a better informed opinion?

Regarding CasinoBitco.in, I applaud the transparency, but I have to say that I would never deposit at a book that has attracted a total player balance of ~$30k after being open for 14 months, and has yet to show the ability to make a profit as a sportsbook (ignoring casino PnL):

The second one looks too much like some sort of religious symbol.

I like the simplicity of the original.

Wow, looks like more than 1/3rd of all accounts are sock puppets. That's a lot. Good for the rest of us. Maybe this means more coins for the rest of us Wink

Yeah I agree! I just had a look at the updated spreadsheet and its like a rainbow of sock puppet rankings on the list!  Smiley

I think the devs did a great job to be able to catch so many with their various methods. Now we just have to weigh the evidence for any who want to state their case and then we have  very solid distribution!
233  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [AИN] NODE aka NXTLite - Puppet Removal has began! on: July 06, 2014, 03:52:36 PM
I think Koop's approach is diplomatic and fair. Most of the detected socks will simply accept their fate especially if they are blatant socks and the evidence is against them. If there are exceptions where a user can show they are not a sock, they just have to present their case and the community can decide.

What else can we do that is both fair and protects the integrity of Node? This is the best approach to take.

In case you find some other interesting program, let me know, maybe I can sign under you to return the favor. BTW, there should be a newsletter today, I wonder what do they have to offer this time.

They are adding litecoin and ripple according to the newsletter. I am reluctant to try too many new things but I am always looking. I will keep your offer in mind for sure.

Awesome news! It speaks to their credibility as well. Who would be more inclined to add Ripple of all things - a scam ponzi hyip or cryptocurrency enthusiasts who are legitimately engaged in arbitrage trading?

Bitcoin Trader is the real deal!

I want to make it public. I've got a PM regarding to new account creation on June 26. The deadline was June 27. I wasn't able to read PM until July 1. And I've created a new account on that day and have sent PM as requested. I didn't get any confirmation back. And now it looks like I've totally lost my early investment. Do you believe guys that it's a fair practice to give such important notice just 1 day before deadline?

No, it's just another disturbing decision by devs. Sometimes they act like teenagers and it really bothers me. You can't give 1 day notice to your investors. 1 week minimum.

Really?

You received a pm 1 day before, but how many times did you check the thread?? There was an announcement going for a month!

Agreed. In addition to the PM Koop posted the announcement in gigantic letters numerous times in the thread. If someone didn't check their PMs AND didn't visit the thread then there is nothing more the Node team could have done to notify them.

For shame. This was actually a functioning coin and everything played out as it should. Even had a fairly decent community backing it. Can't imagine why it was just let go and abandoned.  Undecided

i don't get it why people put so much work in something, and than through it all away.

Maybe something happened to the dev? I find it very strange too - all that work, the email distribution and then the dev simply disappears?
237  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [AИN] NODE aka NXTLite - Puppet Removal has began! on: July 03, 2014, 11:22:21 AM
Anyone who wants a general understanding of Node should visit the web site:

http://nodecoin.com/

I rewrote the material myself based on what the devs had on the original announcement.

Siilk and Koop - if someone on your team can provide more information, I can easily clean up the English and rewrite it for the web site.
238  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: bitcoin-trader.biz on: July 02, 2014, 09:41:08 AM
Very simple, if you buy shares with BTC and BTC price goes up significantly before your shares mature, you might be worse off regardless of interest you get from Bitcoin trader. On the other hand, if the price goes down after you purchase shares, you might make more money.
Which is exactly why the 120 day lock-in is a huge issue that I personally don't want to deal with.

Yeah, you should stick with BTC-Arbs. They let you pull your money out at anytime - it's much safer that way  Grin

  • Bought a total of 20 shares out of which 7 have expired.
There's 13 active shares as of now
    Cashed out $392.22
Break even in USD will occur this week
After that it'll be net +
Measured in btc i broke even further back since my cashouts happened at an average of $450/btc and my average when initially converted to USD was $635/btc

Another believer??? Get ready to get bashed by tons of trolls.

Yeah, no point in posting about your withdrawals here - you'll just be attacked by ponzi-calling trolls and shills for other crap HYIPs. Notice how Yonce doesn't come around anymore? Maybe it's because the ponzi called "Finmutual" that he was trying to steer everyone into already collapsed LOL

I noticed Bitcoin Trader just increased the hash rate for the mining contracts from 10 to 12GHS. I still wouldn't recommend these over the trading contracts, but it certainly nice for those who still have mining contracts that they purchased earlier.

I applied for a Kora stake because I've been around these forums since 2011 and I pretty much apply for every giveaway  Wink

Seriously, I applied because Kora seems to be really passionate about this project so I think his enthusiasm plus a fair distribution means this coin has some serious potential!
