the middle line on the e should just go all the way through to the center
+1, I'd like to see how that looks too!

Good news everyone - I have access to all my coins and am syncing fine. The block explorer is not working right however - it lists an incoming transaction of 2'311.9032 that I received the night of the fork as an outgoing transaction made last night (which is not reflected on my local wallet).
I'd suggest just taking the block explorer down until it can be sorted out as it can certainly cause a lot of unnecessary stress and confusion.
can you show me the error in block explorer? This sent transaction was actually an incoming transaction made days ago (you can see it in my previously posted screenshot).

WE HAVE A SERIOUS PROBLEM HERE!
benysound2 just reported a missing transaction. I just tried a test transaction to Poloniex and it has also disappeared - it didn't show up on Poloniex, and nothing comes up in the block explorer:
Date: 19/03/2014 21:53 To: Poloniex HSWf3xsLaEQWjPnjCyVWnHCqAvfJaBHLxQ Debit: -1.00 HUC Net amount: -1.00 HUC Transaction ID: 142545e13965eee1e1b631aecbd6cc53437ba858e2fdc8aef253cb0f72fb1d82

block explorer is synced http://huc.explorer.dot-bit.org/resync (also do -rescan) -- if you withdrew huc to your address from polo, then you probably have coins just resync and -rescan then let us know If the block explorer is synced then I am really worried as the transaction IDs from Poloniex are not returning anything My local wallet currently does show these transactions with thousands of confirmations but it is around 4,000 blocks behind. Should I just let it continue syncing, stop or try to send my coins out before they disappear

Ok, I'm worried again - I reported the other day that I transferred a couple of thousand HUC from Poloniex right before the problems were announced... I reinstalled the client and was able to sync from scratch and I ended up on the longest chain (same one as f2pool) and I was happy to see that all my HUC was there. Up until yesterday the HUC block explorer was reporting the balance correctly, even though it apparently wasn't on the correct chain. Well, as of today the block explorer is no longer reporting the 2 transactions I made the night of the fork - it is reporting everything before that night and a test transaction I made yesterday. Someone please tell me that the block explorer just needs to be synced and nothing has been rolled back. I am in the process of syncing my local wallet now, but that will take all night as it's over 4,000 blocks behind Tough to say either way, but the block explorer never read my HUC correctly in my wallet, even prior to all this occuring. So, there is hope. The only way you'll know for certain is once things are synced up. Hopefully, it's there. Thanks CC. So even though the transactions are in my wallet now, is there a chance that after I sync they will simply disappear? Should I try to send them out immediately? I've never been through a fork before... it doesn't make sense to me that transactions could be listed but then later rolled back.

But basic finance principle, investor should divest their investment, DO NOT PUT ALL YOUR EGGS INTO ONE BASkET
Exactly! I hope BTC-Arbs releases some more info about their operation soon as I will certainly put some BTC with them as well. Diversification is essential! Crazyivan - Good point, Bitcoin Trader does convert to fiat so that is good or bad depending on how you look at it... you are both protected and excluded from BTC price swings.

Hi all! So I researched these guys a while back and I ended up going with a different but similar service: https://bitcoin-trader.biz/My reasoning was that there is more information available on Bitcoin Trader and it seemed like it has better odds of being a legitimate company. Here is the article where I learned about Bitcoin Trader: http://www.cryptocoinsnews.com/2014/02/12/bitcoin-trader-biz-let-bitcoin-trader-earn-money/According to the article, Bitcoin Trader started off as invite only and they really don't advertise much at all. Unlike BTC-Arbs, they steer clear of all HYIP forums. They also appear to be "friends" with the Bitcoin Foundation and KNC Miner (not that that means anything). Here is the Bitcointalk thread on them: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=393570.0. Stick to the "trading pool" - there is also a "mining pool" but the rates on that one have continuously been going down so the trading pool is a safer bet. I have both and the mining pool currently pays out 0.7% a day every day while the trading pool pays out a variable return (approx 0.96-1.98% every business day). So far the trading pool has been giving back better returns. Also, the mining contracts are for 1 year and you do NOT get back your principal, while the trading contracts are for 120 days and you do get back your original investment. If you do decide to sign up, please use my referral link: https://bitcoin-trader.biz/Note: I am not affiliated with them in any way, but I am a very satisfied client Also note that there was a true ponzi/hyip that tried to copy these guys called bitcoin-trade (instead of bitcoin-trader) which has since shut down.

I downloaded the blockchain from Mega... can someone please tell me the steps necessary to install it? Besides copying the files over, isn't there some sort of command that must be run in order for it to recognize the transactions in your wallet?
Thanks! Copy and paste all of the files you downloaded from Mega into your AppData folder. If you're using windows it should be in Username > Appdata > Roaming > Huntercoin Also make sure show hidden files, folders, and drives is selected under folder and search options before doing this. The location of the Appdata folder is also shown in this tutorial. Even though the video above is Dogecoin instead of Huntercoin, all cryptocurrency data is stored in the AppData > Roaming folders. Many thanks Glogin!

so many crapcoin outhere in altcoin announcement it makes me dizzy . Where do u think this will ultimately lead to ? I am afraid all these crap coins will bury NEM under a ton of crap. I don't think so. Of course there are so many crap-coins right there but in my opinion NEM will beat most of them when its finally developed and released. I can imagine no one else has such a big community standing behind. Maybe NEM need some time in the beginning to get well known but this is all coins inherent. There is no doubt NEM will be special, its just that the crapcoin stain might get smeared on NEM too, some people want to call NEM NEMCoin, I too thought it was the right thing to call it but the more shitcoin I see the more the ending word "COIN" seems more like a negative. Right, the euro and the dollar don't need the word coin either. NEM is fine. Agreed! New Economy Movement is a great name as it emphasizes that NEM is much more than just another coin. it is not so clear coz if NEM is New Economy Movement and more than a coin, then it can't be the NEM's currency ... Though NEM is different from the "real" moneys, it is not denied to use same kind of logic in the namings United States (of America) - US <---> United States Dollar - USD - $ European Union - EU <---> euro - EUR - € United Kingdom - UK <---> pound sterling / pound - GBP - £ New Economy Movement - NEM <---> ? ? - ? - ? ... When assuming that NEM is comparable to US & al. Someone suggested once that the currency would be "nem". It is better than "NEM", though letter case is not making difference enough. Ah, I see what you are talking about now. How about: NEMUs (New Economy Movement Units) NEM Credits NEM Tokens or just NEMs

So long as you aren't asking for any money then I'm all for it!

I think the best option is to simply start over. There were pages upon pages of complaints about the CAPTCHAs, not understanding the tokens, etc. - now with lessons learned, relaunch the giveaway now that everyone fully understands how it works and then nobody can complain (except maybe the guy who stayed up all night exploiting the system ) Also, a relaunch would allow the devs to implement the faster block times that everyone is requesting as well as take into consideration any other valid suggestions.

We are looking for a Web client developer who would work with thies1965 to provide NEM an awesome basic client upon launch and with asset exchange functionality when we have V1 blockchain.
Contact utopianfuture for further information. If NEM community knows someone qualified, let him know we are interested. Thanks.
