Tu ne crois pas que la barre est un peu basse ?! Je veux dire, même à 0 il est pas très rare de se faire plus de 5 sMerits en moin de deux jours, qu'est ce qui se passe le cas échéant ?  Tu pourrais remonter la barre à 10 avec une marge de manoeuvre de 5 pour le reste de l'adhésion par exemple, (Avoir 10 ou moin avant d'adhérer puis ne pas dépasser 15) ??  Tout est discutable, mais bon avec 10 voire 15 smerit de dispo, tu n'est pas pauvre. Tu peux meriter 10-15 personnes une fois. Si tu gagnes 5 smerits en 2 jours, alors tu peux meriter 5 personnes (de 1 smerit) et tu retombe a zero. Bref, c'est pas un club tres stricte sur les regles, alors meme avec un chouilla plus de smerit tout le monde est le bienvenue. |

On a pas de kangourou en NZ ! A la rigeur, on a un peu de wallabies (cousin plus petit du kangourou). On peut les chasser, mais personne n'en mange. Ils sont consideres nuisible. oui mais ils mangent peut-être des pangolins  On n'a pas de pangolin, mais on a des pingouins manchots (3 especes). Annectdote (hors sujette), il n'existe plus qu'une seule espece de pingouin, et ce n'est meme pas celle qu'on voit dans les cartoon ni les films. Le Pingouin (petit pingouin de son vrais nom, car le pingouin pinguinis a disparu dans les annees 1840) est un oiseau qui peut voler, qui n'existe que dans l'hemisphere nord. Il n'y a qu'une trentaine de couple en France (bretagne), mais environ 300 /500 000 en europe. Voici sa photo :  Tout le reste (kinder pingu / happy feet / la marche de l'empreur...) sont des manchots, et ne peuvent pas voler de leur ailes. La confusion vient du fait que en anglais on appelle les manchots des Penguins.... manchot : On fait souvent l'erreur d'appeler ces oiseaux des pingouins. Cette erreur est due à leur ressemblance avec l'espèce disparue du Grand Pingouin mais aussi à la confusion avec le terme équivalent dans les langues voisines du français qui a dérivé pour désigner ces oiseaux. |

Police have fanned out across the country since late 2017 to collect enough samples to build a huge DNA database, according to a study out Wednesday by the Australian Strategic Policy Institute, the New York Times reported.
The database would enable authorities from the hardline Chinese Communist Party to track down any man’s male relatives using only that man’s blood, saliva or other genetic material, the paper reported.
And an American company, Waltham, Massachusetts-based Thermo Fisher, is lending a hand, selling testing kits to the Chinese police that specifically meet their demands.
US lawmakers have criticized Thermo Fisher for selling equipment to the Chinese authorities, but the company defended its deal.
The company said in a statement to the Times that its DNA kits “are the global standard for forensic DNA testing” and that it recognized “the importance of considering how our products and services are used — or may be used — by our customers.”
The US company sells DNA kits to law enforcement agencies in other countries as well.
But the project is viewed as a major escalation of China’s efforts to use DNA tracking to control its people.
The government had already been tracking ethnic minorities such as the Muslim Uighurs and other groups perceived as hostile or a threat to the party, according to the study.
It would also enhance the country’s already sophisticated surveillance operation, which includes high-tech cameras, facial recognition and artificial intelligence to clamp down on anti-government activity by groups or individuals.
The police say they need the database to catch criminals and that donors consent to handing over their DNA — a questionable claim in a country where even peaceful dissent is not tolerated.
Human rights groups within and outside China decried the beefed-up surveillance.
“The ability of the authorities to discover who is most intimately related to whom, given the context of the punishment of entire families as a result of one person’s activism, is going to have a chilling effect on society as a whole,” said Maya Wang, a China researcher for Human Rights Watch.
And those who have been forced to provide samples say they had no choice.
The authorities told Jiang Haolin, 31, a computer engineer from northern China, that “if blood wasn’t collected, we would be listed as a ‘black household,’” he said, and he and his family would lose benefits such as the right to travel and go to a hospital if they were sick or injured.
But China insists the DNA collection is the result of violent crime.
For example, for nearly three decades, the police in a part of Mongolia investigated the rapes and murders of 11 women and girls.
They collected 230,000 fingerprints and scrutinized more than 100,000 DNA samples.
In 2016, they busted a man on bribery charges, the state news media reported, and a genetic analysis showed he was related to a person who had left his DNA at the site of the 2005 killing of one of the women.
That man, Gao Chengyong, confessed to the crimes and was later executed, the Times reported.
China already has the world’s largest collection of genetic material, totaling 80 million profiles, according to state media.
But the new effort to build up a national database of males’ DNA broadens those efforts, said Emile Dirks, an author of the report from the Australian institute.
“We are seeing the expansion of those models to the rest of China in an aggressive way that I don’t think we’ve seen before,” Dirks said. |

The German Board is fantastic to earn merit. It has twice the amount of merit per posts than the French board. Merit/Post ratioSince i made charts for posts and merit, might as well compare that data to get merit/post ratio. I must say that results are surprising, and for some boards might be even misleading (e.g. Dutch board had quite a few posts deleted compared to their activity, and that might pump their ratio). Like in the post chart, some boards are excluded due negative post count, or in Hebrew case not getting even single merit. I expect this chart to change quite a lot each month and shouldn't be taken too seriously, as many things can affect it, like deleted posts, merit giveaways etc.  just my two cents  |

Mais la ca se rechauffe un peu et il fait 8 degree le matin (6h) et 12 degrees la journee. Le cas de la NZ est different du cas de la france. En france, vous n'avez pas "erradique" le Covid19. Nous, jusqu'a hier, on avait 24 jours sans nouveaux cas, et 8 jours sans aucune personne malade. (comprendre que la derniere personne qui a attrape le covid etait il y 24 jours, et que 14 jours apres elle etait guerrie, et que donc pendant 8 jours on avait virtuellement plus de source de covid19 dans le pays). Mais voila, deux touristes, sont venu de l'etranger pour voir un membre de la famille a son chevet (mort depuis). Elle sont passees entre les mailles et ont ete testees avec le Coovid19. Donc on a officiellment 2 cas maintenant. One more aspect to consider.
If police did not stop this dangerous felon immediately..... and he used that taser to carjack someone in the parking lot, and drove off in their car, while drunk, crashed and killed someone else.
Who's fault would that be. The officer would be charged complicit to murder and fired, for the death of the innocent person killed by the fleeing felon.
Who's live is more important? The violent criminal? Or an innocent bystander?
Quick, you have about 3 seconds to answer that, evaluate the risk and possibility, all while fighting for your life.
They are damned if they do, damned if they don't.
What if the cops, while shooting at the running/fleeing dude missed and the bullet shot/killed a bystander (imagine a pregnant white woman). Whose fault is that? How does the situation get dealt with ? Maybe cops are trained at shooting moving target, maybe they are good at shooting, but an error is always possible, and the consequences can be dramatic. Lethal force, should always be put in the balance and chosen only in last resort (regardless of the guy was a multi recidivist felon, child beater and drunk). |
