481  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] The First Litecoin PPS Pool (litecoinpool.org) on: September 11, 2014, 06:53:39 PM
So cool.  Cool
I love the idea of still paying out in LTC and the bump in rewards will be great. Especially since Doge is rebounding a bit.
Thanks for the hard work.

Any plans to allow merge mining of Doge? Ive been a miner of this pool for a long time and am very happy with how things are run. I dont really care about Doge much but the extra income would be a plus!
Working on it Smiley

Hello Pooler,

No pressure here but would you have an ETA for such implementation?

The software is already in place. We should be ready to go shortly after the Dogecoin network starts accepting auxiliary proofs of work, i.e. in a few hours.
Payouts will still be made in litecoins only (this is litecoinpool.org after all Smiley), but the PPS ratio will be adjusted to take into account the expected rewards coming from merged mining. This will basically be the same as having a negative PPS "fee". Of course, after merged mining starts the PPS ratio may need to be adjusted frequently based on factors such as the DOGE/LTC exchange price and the difficulty of the Dogecoin network, which is expected to increase rapidly.
I am going to update the website to document this change, and will definitely post a news item when merged mining goes live.

Still better than other pools that can go a week or more with no blocks. :-)

Well the current block and that last block are sure feeling like a sucker punch after the last few weeks of good luck.

Figured I'd pre-empt the bitching about luck with some bitching of my own.
483  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][RDD] Reddcoin - The Social Currency- [PoSV] Official Release v1.3.1.2 on: September 10, 2014, 10:46:35 PM
I'm on reddit I will have to setup the reddcoin tipbot there for sure.
I imported my other key in to the social wallet ok and it is staking ok as well.
It is strange the other wallet will not work once sync'd and it tries to stake.

Also if you post around reddit reddcoin people are pretty tip happy so if you have interesting ideas or blah blah blah, its a quick way to add a few thousand RDD to your account.
484  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][RDD] Reddcoin - The Social Currency- [PoSV] Official Release v1.3.1.2 on: September 10, 2014, 08:35:38 PM
I will have to dump my private key from the non working wallet and import it I have a bunch more in that one as well.
Thanks for the info. Smiley

Your wallet is locked it will not stake while locked. It will take a few minutes after you unlock it before it shows that you are staking. It will most likely say that you have something like 4000 days to reward but you can ignore that, it will drop dramatically by the hour. Try to get up to 100 000 RDD to have a decent chance at getting rewards faster. leave your receive address, I'm not rich but I will send you a few to help you get started.

Yes I understand that from some other coins that do it as well.
It is a great feature indeed.  Cool
Is this normal though it has been running nonstop.  Still not staking the other wallet before it messed up would say staking after it sync'd.

I always do first thing.  I am not new to crypto just to Reddcoin.  Grin
The social wallet is sync'd but not staking I will check it in the morning and let you know how it goes.

Tip: Always back up your file wallet.dat incase something went wrong with your wallet

staking is also like a lottery its a chance if you get to make new coins or not
488  Other / Off-topic / Re: Answer the question above with a question. on: September 10, 2014, 04:59:33 PM
I do not think it is an overly long question.
Why is it few people actually answer them before asking their question?

Did the lost Dutchman get lost  he has been missing a while don't you know?
I haven't heard if he found Lost or not.  What did he do to piss off the Lost Dutchman?
Why do you care about him?
Does anyone else feel that many users who were very active six months ago have gone missing since then?
Did you know that accounts can be sold?
Why would someone buy an account then not use it?
Maybe he wants to resell it?
Or maybe he wants to scoop out its insides and sew shut its openings and smoke it out and stuff it with straw and hang it over the door of his hut to ward off evil spirits?
Did you purposely forget to include ", you think" at the end of your question?
Would that be sufficient, or should I have started the question with "Is it possible that" instead of "Or maybe"?
Why limit yourself to only two choices?
Why do you ask and how many choice do you want ?
Could he be thinking of questions like 'Well, dunno, ahem, does he want to, you know, scoop out its insides, you know, and kinda sew shut its, its, its openings, you know, and sorta like stuff it with straw, man, and hang it over the door of his thing, I mean his hut, to, say, ward off evil spirits or something, you think?'?

Wow, does anyone else think that is a long question?

Isn't it???

This is great news I look forward to it.
It should be interesting to see how it all works out for Doge in the end as well.

Why leave luck has been above average consistently.

How can I withdraw the BTC "crumbs" in my account? I am probably done mining at BTC Guild and have about .00048 languishing there. Since auto withdrawals only withdraw the exact amount you specify it seems like it would be impossible to ever have a completely empty account.

I am starting to think it is because I have an SSD in the system I am using.  I have the Samsung Magician on there.
The Social Wallet so far is up and running I am going to send some coins to it to see what it does.
I will let you know.
I do not have any issues with any other wallets. I have everything closes just the Reddcoin wallet and oddness. LOL

Ok this is the weird thing that happens.
Once the wallet is sync'd and tries to stake it gives the following error.  It does not run long enough for me to even transfer the coin out of the wallet.
Any ideas on what it would be?  I have all the permissions set ok and nothing is interfering.

That is strange, I am no professional but I can toss out some suggestions. You can try the social wallet and see if that works or you can try running the wallet on a different machine make sure you have the latest qt version from reddcoin.com and transfer your wallet using a flash drive. All said it kinda looks like your wallet might be corrupted, don't take my word for it but it may be the case.

Try moving your wallet.dat file to a safe folder then run reddcoin-qt let it generate a new wallet and see if it runs, if it works post a receive address.

495  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Guide] Dogie's Comprehensive Rockminer T1 Setup [HD] on: September 09, 2014, 11:52:33 PM
I have a 12v on the T1 and then the Tube had a 5v so they both seem to work with nothing fried.
I hope that helps.

Hey Dogie, are you sure the 12V is correct? I also got a 12V adapter with my sample, but the controller itself says 5V so I was concerned it would fry it... :/

499  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Spondoolies-Tech - carrier grade, data center ready mining rigs on: September 09, 2014, 05:23:28 AM
They are one of the best miners out there but always educate yourself about different miners such as power requirements, noise and heat.
Depending on where you are going to put them these are large concerns.
Spondoolies makes one of the best.  The are power efficient and perform well. They perform the best on 220v.  Many homes only have that for their dryer in the US.

Yes they are.
I have their miners and have reviewed them.
Dogie has also made Guides for them as well.

Ty guy,

so.. their products are simply the best on the market for avaibility and price ?

Is Spondoolies a trusted company? Somebody got their miniers?

Ty for answers.
