Strange, I am mining on xpool, just because I have an antminer, and they're hashing on UNO, which has practically no value and is low on the coinwarz list.  Why are they wasting our hash?

maybe because a very high difficulty for all other coin Huh

you should check http://www.coinmine.pw/  there you can see profitability for mining each coin

edit : btw you only  get paid when a block is found

I don't see sha-256 there, but coinwarz.com has them and UNO is way low.  It's ok, I just put my miner on Slush's pool.

It's merged mine. Your hash isn't wasted at all. It's no different than NMC IXC and DEV coin. All are merged mined using the same hash. So really, your same hash mines on 4 coins AT ONCE and you get paid for them ALL. Read up on merged mining.

http://www.xpool.ca/faq#collapse8

Cheers

Oh, I didn't see any other coins included!  I must not know where to look.

When you look on the pool stats page, you'll see a check box for "Hide merge mined currencies" which is selected by default. If you uncheck that, you'll see that all 4 merged coins (IXC/NMC/DEV/UNO) + whichever coin is being mined all show the same hashrate. That means, are all 5 being mined at the same time with the single hashrate.

why arent your pool mined bitcoin with sha256 ? arent those coin mergemineable with btc ?

Do you merge mine? What currencies do you merge mine?
Yes, we merge mine the following curriences:

Scrypt coins: Dogecoin (DOGE), Syscoin (SYS), Pesetacoin (PTC), Greencoin (GRE), ViaCoin (VIA)

SHA256 coins: NameCoin (NMC), DevCoin (DVC), iXcoin (IXC), Unobtanium (UNO)

X11 coins: Unitus (UIS)

I do, if you feel so inclined. I don't have the hashrate to sustain mining bitcoin directly as part of my multipool but I have 2 ports dedicated to bitcoin mining just for fun which is really more like a lottery.

Cheers

I've started work on a replacement. I was always really impressed by this pool. It will run along side my other multipool, I just need to go through the code so I can understand it and set it up properly as it's a completely different structure.

Stay tuned.

My favorite pool isnt working.
Last night, i rent a 1Hour of 2TH of SHA around midnight,
And... Nothing happen at xpool.ca

Did you use the proper port? Did the rental say it was connected?

There are no problems I'm aware of. There is nearly 100TH mining on the pool on all the SHA ports.
I've used same paramter of the 24/06 10:00 as you can see.
so nothing changed. it worked from 11:38pm to 01:00 am and nothing apear

I would report the issue to the rental site. Your miner connected at that time, but did not submit any work after the initial authorization.

Might I suggest not to use SHA rentals. They are far from profitable.  Most sites are charging 0.01 per BTC/TH/Day which is typically twice as much as you can earn.

Right now, the best algo to rent is X11 as long as it's under 0.4 BTC/GH/Day and the best place to rent from is here: https://goo.gl/pIf7Vj

And you rent hash not miners, so you only pay for what they deliver.

Cheers!
