Good news: Versions 0.4.1 and 0.5 released today. 0.4.1 contains mostly minor fixes since 0.4. 0.5 contains dramatic speed improvements, new back-ends, and more. New in 0.5 - 2011-08-16* Big load time improvement for SQLite: below 10 hours for the BTC chain. So the block explorer should be back online in 10 hours

Replacing wallets is ok, that's not the problem Maybe you configured a proxy in your old wallet?

Could you please set your clock correctly? http://blockexplorer.com : 141208 2ed9c752e3... 2011-08-16 14:21:07 35 850.37489758 12.393 141207 2553560719... 2011-08-16 14:27:45 13 305.77282401 4.694 I believe there's a site logging which pool found a given block, what is it?

If you don't have connection, check your firewall As soon as you will have connections, you will download the blockchain

Can you provide a summary of the differences? Number of coins you've decided to generate, how often, etc?
- 48 coins per block - One block each 5 min - Difficulty changes every 7 days or 2016 blocks Guys, you're free to inspect the latest commits and try to find flaws on the recent changes Why not 50 coins per block like bitcoins? Will be easier for people trying to use mining calculators... they would just have to double what they get from a standard bitcoin mining calculator. Plus it will be simpler for everyone. There's no need to follow ixcoins 96 coins, right? When halved every 2016 blocks, it doesn't make crazy numbers with a lot of useless digits. 64 or 51.2 I0C/block would have been better though That's the only reason I can see

Sell what? Who the hell bought ixcoins?
|
|
|
To prevent manipulation errors with Bitcoin/Ixcoin addresses, Bitcoin addresses starting with 1 are now invalid. In the future, we might need to block out more addresses if Bitcoin starts using other address versions.
So people are dumb enough to put bitcoin addresses in ixcoin but not dumb enough to put namecoin addresses in ixcoin...?

I made a non-standard transaction and try to make it accepted in a blockchain I can't try in a reasonable time because in Bitcoin only Eligius accepts non-standard tx, and in testnet no block was found for one day (I'm going to use testnet-in-a-box but I would need a block explorer and I don't have Abe installed, so it's not a complete solution)
The problem is that I didn't even know if my node broadcast my tx (I know others nodes don't), it displays the tx but I can't double-click it
So, how can I be sure Eligius received my tx and is about to put it in the next block it finds?

Ok thanks for the explanations
