And yes sometimes it is best to let adults handle conversations as they generally have reading comprehension

Now this comment seems ironic now, considering the above lack of reading comprehension. Maybe if you took the time to actually read my post before getting yourself up in a huff and striking back with adhoms you would have comphrended what I said and could answer your own question instead of making me repeat myself.

@yourstruly I've learned that you have to just ignore people like that. He/She is clearly upset about something in their personal life and is now taking it out on the internet. You have to just laugh them off and wave them away. lol

He is upset because he asked for facts and figures and you refused lol.

So, do you have any to back up your claim about NOBL being the most profitable?

Or will you just 'ignore' me for asking a relevant question too?
282  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] BlackCoin (BC) | on exchanges | PoS | No premine on: March 27, 2014, 02:52:54 AM
For all those wondering why your payouts in BC are so poor on the amazing new multi-pool, it's because they sit on NobleCoin when we're the 30th+ most profitable. A few of the BC community as well as a decent amount of pump & dumpers on Twitter despise NobleCoin, so if you're looking for good returns for your hashrate you won't find it there.

I don't want to start a flame war here although I might get some lashing back, but just a tidbit of information if you actually want good returns in Blackcoin for your rigs.

There are several mutlipools targeting different coins. Unfortunately for every PoW altcoin, you will fall victims to blackcoin. Its just the nature of the beast, join early or wait and be engulfed.
haha we are Borg as we assimilate all other cryptos

It is a good metaphor, eventually the new alts will have to be designed that don't let us do this but after that we would have effectively made cryptocurrencies different.

New currencies after blackcoin grows big enough will use much less energy over all. This goal is more noble than noblecoin and better for the environment than mintcoin claims to be. This is just progress, many will be upset but after a certain point the idea is out there and it won't be stoppable. If its not blackcoin it will be some other cryptocurrency that takes advantage of this positive feedback loop.

BTC better watch out too then, were heading for #1!  Roll Eyes

Seriously, this is the next 'in thing' and were all riding it for the time being for the same reason. That is, until the next alt that eclipses BC is released.

I never said we were heading for number one, that is a classic strawman. You will not find that anywhere in my post.

However you cannot deny that we will put selection pressure on PoW altcoins, this is the new dynamic at play when you add full POS + mining pools to the altcoin ecosystem. Now if you want to attack that instead of fabricated claims that I said we would be #1, I would be happy to discuss otherwise you are being an annoying troll.

Hold on, you just piped up in a previous post about reading comprehension and selective context, yet you've done the same to me? Oh the irony.

If your willing to point out fiction and pretend it is fact, please elaborate on my fabricated claims in greater detail.

Before doing so, re-read what I wrote, and also note the smiley added for a little sarcastic, light hearted humour. Then show me where I said you had said anything?

Why would a new pool with a low hash rate waste time on something with a difficulty too high? The reason we are mining NOBL right now (If you read on the homepage) is because it is the easiest for the little hashrate the pool has at the moment. Once more people start mining on it.. we will switch to a coin that is best for the hashrate.

We mined NOBL over the weekend for 6 hours and brought in 8000 BC ... not bad for only a small hash rate. So YES we got this under control.

PS. No where on our website do we say we are at a war with any coins. All we care about is getting BC into the hands of stake holders. So please don't make up a purpose for this mining pool.

PHS - Network Hashrate: 106.61 MH/s  Difficulty - 2.7324
BBQ - Network Hashrate: 92.64 MH/s    Difficulty - 1.303
LKY - Network Hashrate: 104.90 MH/s   Difficulty - 1.4855

And then Noble with Higher Hashrate of 216MH/s AND Higher Diff of 3.4018

So don't tell me you picked the best coin for your low hash power

Stop screwing your poolers and Noble

Hear, hear!

Do what the man above is and mine Doge instead!  Angry

Just in case you missed it, the Blackcoinminer multipool is up: http://blackcoinminer.com

We are currently mining NobleCoin

Is that the most profitable coin now then?

No it isn't, there's other more profitable shit coins they could mine but they choose to mine Noble instead.

So much for the war on shit coins

And all this time I though mining was proportionate - hash/coins earned.

Hate to say it, but for overall use, NOBL makes BC look shit.
At least you can buy things with NOBL, rather than only trade for BTC.

While it would be beneficial for BC to be accepted as payment  from merchants eventually, there are many uses even without that. We also need more time to grow.

Don't get me wrong I'm a BC holder too, but what can I actually do with it besides trade it/cash out.

The reason I asked was because surely there is another shitcoin you could pick on. NOBL is a decent coin, with decent resources and devs etc.

+1 Mk2vr6 has a good point.

A new website and a rebranding will not change anything unless there's more people focused on delivering news to the community and that spread the word about tips so we can grow! we need fresh money in the market and I suggest we launch a big marketing campaign along with the rebranding and w/fedoracoin launch!

P.S. Please whoever is in charge of the fedoracoin Twitter account, if you're not planning to actively post and spread the word about fedoracoin on twitter maybe it is best if someone else takes over the account!

Another good point. Social Media needs pushing too.

And the so called rebranding is actually far from it. Why not just drop the fucking Fedora and be serious?

Newbies will get confused re. fedoracoin/tips.

Arseholes!

Don't think I've mentioned it yet but hats off to you guys still pushing this. Rofo is a top Dev I have a lot of respect for. Glad you are still as active as you where at the start buddy.

I've been following Noble since the start and also holding since around 180sat. I'm not selling my stash any time soon.

Regarding the multipool, problem. can I suggest switching to X11? DGB have suggested it recently and lots of people are interested. It uses less power, runs cooler and is ASIC/multipool resistant for the time being Wink

Why would you say that ? The net Hashrate is only at 700 MH/s  Huh

Again we are target of those unholy multipools... I feel a little less euphoric

Lel, looks like everyone try to somehow explain the falling down price, instead of going
for the most simple and true one: number of supporters is very limited with TIPS, our
every penny is already invested in TIPS and that's it. While new TIPS are being dumped
every minute, every hour of each and every day. Billions each week.

Keeping in mind that no new money is being added to the pool of TIPS, price will keep falling.

It is no manipulation, no one's cheating, it is not multipools either, it just a very limited
group of passionate people, who gathered about 400'000$ which in final hour will be divided
by 500 000 000 000, which will produce the final TIPS price. This year.
Out of goodwill and to ease the calculations it may rise to 500'000$ in pool (which I highly doubt)
which in turn will make TIPS price 0.000000001$ apiece.

Right now single TIPS price is 12 latoshi which is 0.00000196$ apiece. If I may suggest something
to you guys: expect drop in price. A big one. If no miracle happens, we are on a road to 0.01 latoshi.
Maybe we should just use DOGE pair instead of LTC...

PS. 39 dogeoshi, yeah, we would almost reach 40 again Smiley

PPS. If anyone doubt the above calculations, I can draw you charts for the next week and we can
check them next week. Better do this now, because in two weeks we will be out of cryptsy
so it will be more difficult to keep the track of price.

PPPS. I should recalculate the above again because it is 11 latoshi already.

PPPPS. Do not lie yourself with delusions, we need to lure more people into TIPS, to literally
take their money, or it will fail. If you want to go back to 40 latoshi, you already need
4 times the money on stake now, so about 1.6 million $. I highly doubt rising this kind of
money in any reasonable time...

Well with that much of good will, we cannot be wrong  Grin

Seriously if you wan't to be part of Dogecoin, go ahead. There's effectively much more shibes than tippers. But why is that ?

BECAUSE ON THEIR THREAD, SOME PEOPLE MAKE CONSTRUCTIVE POSTS FOR THE COMMUNITY KEEPING LIVING AND GROWING.

And you can probably put that down to lack of activity on here from Dev's.

Anyone that doesn't use IRC would come on here for info, and without this thread moving it sits on page 2.

Devs are on IRC yes, for commons discussions which would pollute this thread. But they're also on Reddit. And I, as others like Todorius, Hercules1600 or DarkVenu, keep posting all the news on BitcoinTalk in order for you to stay in touch with all the projects going on. You are free to participate, throw ideas, and we will do the follow up. But some of the people here just keep talking about the price going down without doing anything but mumbling.

Being part of this community, whether you're on Reddit, IRC or BitcoinTalk, is about mining, giving ideas, debating. Not about doing charts to demonstrate why and how this coin needs more people to use it in order to grow bigger. There's nothing new about that, and nobody is looking for excuses what so ever.

A sound dynamic is a good start for every coin, not only TiPS. And you're free to pulse that dynamic: just try to throw ideas and to show talent.

Come on, hiding on IRC and not frequenting the only place newbies look to find info on Cryptos is just ridiculous.
I tell you what catch me on Skype - my Skype name is buried in a thread I don't post in anymore; have fun trying to find it!
What I'm getting at is the fact that there are a quarter million members on here and newbies joining daily. No one I know has even heard of IRC let alone uses it on a daily basis. However, most of them are regular members of forums and boards just like BTCtalk. How on earth are they going to find TiPS if theres not a massive community posting and having a bit of banter on here?

Why avoid the place that got you the interest and investors in the first place. Ideas and chitchat should be thrown about on here for all to see, not hidden away on IRC! If I where a newbie coming on here I wouldn't even take a second glance at TIPS, this thread just isn't active enough.

Hello, my name is DogeyMcDoge, I worked support for Cryptorush.in.

Have you ever heard of the trolly/train dilemma?

The general form of the problem is this: There is a runaway trolley barreling down the railway tracks. Ahead, on the tracks, there are five people tied up and unable to move. The trolley is headed straight for them. You are standing some distance off in the train yard, next to a lever. If you pull this lever, the trolley will switch to a different set of tracks. Unfortunately, you notice that there is one person on the side track. You do not have the ability to operate the lever in a way that would cause the trolley to derail without loss of life (for example, holding the lever in an intermediate position so that the trolley goes between the two sets of tracks, or pulling the lever after the front wheels pass the switch, but before the rear wheels do). You have two options: (1) Do nothing, and the trolley kills the five people on the main track. (2) Pull the lever, diverting the trolley onto the side track where it will kill one person. Which is the correct choice?

I write this today because I am pulling the second lever. I am relaeasing info regarding CryptoRush's Insolvency.

My hands shake as I write this. These past two weeks have been hell for me. I have not been sleeping well. I get gut wrenching pains anytime I think about this. It's time to put it to rest.

I started working for CryptoRush in late Febraury. I was excited and intrigued by crypto, and upon finding this new exchange I joined their channel. LinkandZelda was looking for a support. I volunteered, and offered help to the users in the channel for a few days without even having access to the tools to the admin site. I was hired a few days later, and was put to work. I was to be paid a flat amount of BTC weekly, and upon getting past the learning curve of CryptoRush's backend, I was well along answering tickets. The owners became like friends to me. As the workload got harder as time went on, we began getting too many tickets for me to handle alone. We hired another support. Around the 11th of March, I received a message from Devianttwo: "had something bad happen. all I'm saying." I was brought into a Skype call and told that we had been hacked. I was shocked. They told me the amount, and I did not sleep well that night.

For some reason my brain stuck 30 BTC lost in my head. Upon consulting LinkandZelda I was informed of the losses again. ~950 BTC and ~2500 LTC. Gone. Someone with an IP from Ukraine. They were looking into it, thought they found the guy. Thought they could get the BTC back. Maybe it was shock. Maybe it was just me being naive. But I believed them.

I was informed of the plan to announce CryptoRushShares, a currency that would pay % fees to holders. And the kicker? Fyrstikken would announce 60% ownership of them. But in the back room?

[3/14/2014 10:48:15 PM]
":basically
: he's helping me gain capital back from share buyers
: he started by announcing 60% shareholding
: but he actually owns only 10%"

I never got a clear answer as to whether we received any money from him, or were just using his internet "fame" for advertising. I put it out of my mind, this could help save us right?

The next couple weeks seemed to fly by.

And so time goes on, and things look OK at first. But then the BTC wallet runs out. Alex123 and fraggyb did not know of our insolvency. Daemon problems we were told was the answer.

The guilt was starting to build up inside of me. I answered very few tickets the week of the 16th. I was conflicted, but I worked at my full time job >40 hours that week, so it kept my mind off of things a little. The issues continued. I kept suggesting ways we could maybe get some BTC back, arbitrage, etc. We didn't even have enough funds for that. I wanted so bad for the exchange to stay afloat, thinking "Maybe tomorrow will bring us back our volume!" But alas, the problems with Zeit, and BTC withdrawals killed our volume. There was no coming back.

We saw some volume on Blackcoin, until the blockchain freeze. I stayed up as late as I could, but saw no update. I woke up the next morning, to panic. People were placing ridiculous buy orders in the market. I had just the night before been given permissions to access functions such as enabling/disabling markets, or putting a coin in maintenance mode. I quickly assessed what I could, and closed the markets, canceled the orders, and put the wallet in maintenance mode. I called Devianttwo on the phone # I was give for emergencies only, and he told me he was not going to be able to fix it at the moment. This was at 10:30AM EST on the 24th. I went to work, already late from the mess I had to help resolve.

Upon returning home I learned that my worst fears were true. Blackcoin Daemon was empty besides ~53 coins. The same bug that affected Zeitcoin I assume.

I was broken. Everything was falling apart. I tried to talk to Link into closing the site, but he keeps resisting it. It was futile.

Then Fyrstikken exploded on rat4. Chat logs were flying. I tried to contain the FUD but it was useless. Fyrstikken had done his damage. Devianttwo couldn't keep a good PR face on for more than 3 minutes.

I confided in my best friend and roommate all that I knew, and he said that I knew what I had to do. And I did know. And so here it is. I feel so bad writing this, Link has become a friend to me. But I cannot let the community suffer anymore with this exchange.

So to everyone at CryptoRush  I am sorry. To all the users who have, or will lose funds here, I am sorry. I don't think you can understand how heavy this whole situation weighs on my heart.

There is a lot of money in crypto, and Fyrstikken is an angry guy. I don't know if I should fear for my safety or not.

But what Snowden did was right, and what I am doing is right.

My sincerest regrets,

DogeyMcDoge.

Hi,

Got my PSU up and running now. Messy soldering, but solid joints and running very well - showing 12.25volts on all PCIe connectors.

Does anyone know how to make the PSU power on when the other one does? Can I use the green wire from the MOBO PSU to jump the two power on pins?

I'm using a Dell DPS-1520ab.

Thanks

Sorry to requote, but any ideas?

Cheers

make MOAR coins! Cryptsy needs more markets niggas!

Please tell me someone has just made that account to follow Spunknik around to troll him. It would make my day.  Grin

This is what I find hilarious about this whole drama. All the naive Aspies who spew venom at Altcoins are in the same exact boat, a shadowy mysterious developer who won't reveal himself, distrust by the general public that what they are running is a pyramid scheme, attacking alts for "having no infrastructure" or "wide merchant acceptance" when neither does Bitcoin really (sorry but a shitty little wordpress storefront selling giftcards and GPUs doesn't count as "wide" merchant acceptance in my book), and a majority of the coin wealth owned by an elite few (the top 1% of bitcoin holders hold 80% of them, and here we think a 1% premine for a developer is greed).

Mark Karpeles and Charlie Schrem did more to betray the trust of crypto in the eyes of the general public then anyone and they were "one of the boys" around here and put on a pedestal. Most people who even have the vaguest idea of what Bitcoin is have no idea what Litecoin is and certainly have no clue about alt coins, so to blame alts for the state of crypto is disingenuous.

I think what really upsets some of the "old guard" but that they won't admit to, is they are upset that many noobies are not wanting to pay the $500-$1000 "tax" to buy a bitcoin and join their elite club and instead are gambling on these penny stock coins hoping to get rich. Well guess what fellas, you created this madness when you yourselves speculated Bitcoin from dollars and cents to $1000 a coin almost overnight (Litecoins rise was even more meteoric and questionably boosted in only days) What did you think would happen but attract a new breed of investors looking to get rich quick like you did?

Well done that man. There is nothing else that needs to be said on the matter.

Can we just end the thread now please.
