So you started the thread just to add PopularCoin to the list?

Yet Doge which was monumental in what it achieved doesn't make the cut?

How's that altcoin regulation going ? This is my favorite comedy thread.

Unfortunately not going anywhere yet.  Hopefully we can change that with the application/fees idea.

We need to be profit driven to some extent: otherwise donating hash power to this effort is not going to last long out of charity or annoyance.

Thus the only way to make this last is to impose fees on new and existing altcoin creators.  Once the BTC start flowing into our virtual coffers, only then will this initiative really take off with our hash rates.

Need to start by first sending a message to one of the altcoin vendors on the list to demand a fee and application.  If that does not work, we will need to be prepared to throw some speculative hashes at it, to pound them until they give in.  That in itself is a risk we'll all have to take, but it will pay off for us once the BTC comes our way.

So from sorting out shitcoin scamming devs, you've now turned it into a racketeering type money making idea to line your pockets.

Nice!
327  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Operation Shitcoin Cleanout and Clean Up Has Begun- Join the Revolution on: March 21, 2014, 09:49:42 PM
The people wanting to do this are retarded. Lets take Crypto that already has a bad name in the media for being hacked, sabotage, etc and add more to it. Headlines read "Hackers start destroying crypto concurrences is yours next?" Are you stupid or just blind? This campaign will do nothing but scare new money away. People feel much more comfortable losing their money in a PnD scheme then some hacker coming along and sabotaging something and it losing all value. At least they can still sell after a PnD. You want to leave them with permanent bags. So either your complete morons or you have an agenda for your own coins or the coins you deem non shit coins. Anyone that gets on board with these tools will only be hurting crypto. Not to mention this is black hat behavior and will likely be found to be illegal once people, pools, etc start to get fucked. I can promise you class action lawsuits and likely prison time for hacking.

This.

Next, I think you guys should go after shitty door lock manufacturers.

I mean, with some of the locks that people have on their houses, it's easier to open them by slipping in a credit card than it is using a key.

So I think you guys should organize groups to go around to these houses and steal everything that the people own.  Or if you're not in to stealing, just go in and burn their houses down.  If people are going to use door locks like that, they don't deserve to own anything.

You know, it's for the public good.  That'll show those door lock manufacturers!

And some of this too.

Seriously, you guys just need to turn a blind eye. If something annoys you why not ignore it? Instead you'll deceive and corrupt others making you worse than so called 'scam coin' devs.

And then like the quote above, what's next? Is there anything else in this world that pisses you off that you feel like picking on?

329  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ★★ DigiByte ★★ [DGB] A Professional Currency ✈ DigiShield ✔ Cryptsy ✔ on: March 19, 2014, 08:49:05 PM
Love the ideas and foundation behind DGB, hence why I have been holding since around 140sat!

However, half of this thread is mining pool spam. Please put a stop to it, it makes it harder to read through proper discussion!!!

I don't see the problem unless the same pool is posting multiple times per page. I makes it easy for people new to the coin to find an active pool. It also keeps the thread bumped at the top of the listings, helping the community appear active, and therefor attracting more interest.

But as a pool owner, my opinion maybe biased...
We agree with this.

BitcoinTalk is still the main source of new people coming into the crypto world. Having the thread bumped to the top often does drive new users to DigiByte.

As long as mining pools are not posting their add several times on each page we do not see a problem with this. It also lets us know which pools are trully supporting DigiByte and are active in the community.

It helps show an active community.

Having said that, BlazingHashes has posted the same post 24 times out of a total of 26 of their total posts! Now that to me is spam, and cluttering up this thread.
They add nothing to this thread apart from bumping it to the top, and promoting their pool to line their pockets. Details are in OP anyway.

331  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why Doge coin is bad on: March 19, 2014, 08:25:21 PM
i have explained in ultra extreme detail like a broken record in my "rants" should i repeat myself yet again ? is there any point ?
You say it's not a clone and i never proved it ? then i say you can't read and are ignorant to reality.. it is what it is ..no more and no less.
and that has nothing to do with being constructive or destructive it's called dealing with reality and not living in a delusional Doge coin fanboy world you cooked up in your heads.

i have addressed your so called community and it's a joke.. all i see here is a repeat of what happened with IFC (or similir)
and i guarantee many of you have no idea what that means because you weren't around long enough to know..
which is precisely why DOGE coin is the new IFC ..your so called community showed up in this scene to jump on Doge (to flash mine it and then hype it)
if you all showed up earlier it would have been some other coin your rambling on about.
Sorry but watching yet ANOTHER clone coin getting flashed mined by a hoard of corrupt scumbags does not = a community.
And i grow tired of the fake ass services or what ever that are added to coins after the fact to make them seem legit.

i've been watching this crap closely for a year 24/7 and dealt with all the major players endlessly and know far more than 90% of you all ever will..
i need no dumb lectures from noobs who showed up a month or two ago.. sorry but you don't know squat.

PS: I TOLD YOU SO idiots Smiley

look at Cryptsy's price right now and the graph spike showing a steady decline now for a month straight.
i was right and i predicted all of it to the hour and your brats say i'm jealous ? i say your bloody stupid lol

You clearly... are so much.... more intelligent.... than all of us... you dont bother... with capital letters... and overuse... the ellipsis...

Please stop blowing your own trumpet. You can't even string an easy to read sentence together, with the use of correct punctuation.

This all boils down to you still being sour about not releasing Bunnycoin (even if your BunnyCoin was a joke, you have realised just how much you could have made by being one of the first self proclaimed scam coins). Had you of done so, you might actually be a happy chappy instead of spending your days moaning and being sour about every last little thing on here.

For anyone that wants to see just how pathetic and negative this man is have a look at his previous posts - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=138471;sa=showPosts

Can someone please explain to me the current method and criteria that coinmarketcap and any other cryptocapital website use and how exactly this is being abused. I would like to add a good explanation to the OP.

Just need a working block explorer and a total coin count URL.

335  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Server Power Supply Interface Board - for standalone miners and GPU rigs on: March 19, 2014, 09:17:31 AM
Hi,

Got my PSU up and running now. Messy soldering, but solid joints and running very well - showing 12.25volts on all PCIe connectors.

Does anyone know how to make the PSU power on when the other one does? Can I use the green wire from the MOBO PSU to jump the two power on pins?

I'm using a Dell DPS-1520ab.

Thanks
