Have a multi GPU version running 170mKeys/s on RX570 or 150mKeys/s on GTX 1060, a rig with 6 runs just above a billion/sec.
Your speed is double compare with mine.1060 3G win 7, 16G ram, core i5 ivy.
He's using his own fork/version. Question is: if it is free, open-source or real, he didn't shared the link. -snip-
Is this the version that keychainX is talking about: Faster and Autonomous Large Bitcoin Collider upgrade? 'Coz I'm seeing the same users from that thread.
No, I have a custom made version, you need to optimize the OpenCL drivers in order to get into that speed.

Economy / Services / Re: Forgot your wallet password and couldn't reset it ? Need Help ?

Why should anyone trust you? What is the guarantee after recovering the wallet you would not run away with funds? I mean you don't have anything to lose.Suppose I lose access to my Electrum wallet, what details about the wallet I must provide to your in order to get my wallet recovered? Does any of the process includes you have access to my seed or private keys directly/indirectly?
You can easily create a hash with John the ripper based on your wallet and just send them the hash outputting. This way they can only find the hash which is equivalent to your wallet password. You won't be even giving away the public key. you can then use escrow to transfer funds to them. This is how we do it when clients are unsecure to give away their encrypted wallet file.

Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: How Forks Ruin Multisig: a Cautionary Tale
|
on: August 10, 2018, 04:57:58 AM
|
As the founders of CoinFest, we were one of the earliest to experiment with real use cases for large multisig wallets. We were even 10-of-15 at one point back when CoinKite was still around. Things got complicated sometimes, but we never had to face losing any funds... until the Bitcoin Cash fork. Moral of the story: be careful out there, guys. Also, anybody got any multisig wallet recommendations that might save us, here? Actually, you didn't loose any cash, you were just unable to move the Bitcoin Cash funds, which you actually got airdropped for free. To answer your question regarding any multisig wallet recommendations, you can use for example libbitcoin-explorer or you could create one with a library such as bitcoinjs-lib. You can also use electrum Cash multisig wallet, the doc here: http://docs.electrum.org/en/latest/multisig.html#create-a-pair-of-2-of-2-wallets

well if anyone would like to assist or take a crack at it, i wouldnt mind and to me something even half is better than nothing at this point in the game let alone my life... just wanted to share that i suppose..
anyways lesson learned the hardest way possible.. it has brought me to the conclusion that if there is a god it has to be a woman *chuckle* always wirte down your stuff.. or take a pic of it... *sigh*
Mike, sorry to hear about your loss. We have a service which is helping people recover lost crypto with Brute Force, Dictionary Attacks or through hypnosis (sorry, the last one was a joke) For keys with no clue about the password, we do run a farm with "a couple of hundred" GPU's which is doing exactly this, scanning a couple of billion keys a second to see if we get a match with public addresses we have the approval from clients to do so. (From a few SATOSHI up to 10.000+ BTC's per address). We know the chance is very very small, but as an answer to above topic, YES, there IS a CHANCE. If you would be interested to add your two public keys to our list and can confirm ownership, we would gladly have you as a client. We charge 20% if we do a match. You can also PM me directly keychainX@protonmail.com

Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: RFC. A new ASIC miner for memory hard algorithms.
|
on: August 08, 2018, 07:45:00 PM
|
With GDDR6 RAM finally becoming available in short order, there is going to be a mad scramble to upgrade mining equipment. Bitmain is now selling its old stock of ASIC miners that are obsolete in order to prepare for this new generation, and the rest of us can only react. As long as the Chinese have a monopoly on mining, there is going to continue to be a bias in how this industry develops. We would like to break that monopoly.
1. Given that we are planning to do this as an ICO, who would you approach first for seed funding? We probably only need about $100k to start. After that there are dozens of syndicate investors who would probably jump in at later stages. Only the first one is really hard. (Contact me privately if you want to discuss specifics.)
2.What are the pain points of this project? I can speak for the advantages, but I am hoping to hear some of the disadvantages that I would need to overcome in any presentation. What would a potential investor, either syndicate or smaller investor during an ICO, look at critically?
3.Strong community support will be essential for this project. As time is of the essence, what is the fastest way to build a sizeable community behind the concept?
First of all, you should make a one pager which explains your idea and possibly an explainer video. You could easily setup a kickstarter or indiegogo, with a tech invention you would be able to hit your 100k seed pretty quickly. Reach out to a few tech sites with your idea, do some interviews, and then boom, you have your funding. As mentioned in above comments, leave out the ICO for now, it has bad reputation

Do not worry. CoinMarketCap was not hacked. Perhaps with the latest updates on the site there were some small errors that have now been fixed.
It was a software glitch during an update. They are changing the turnover algorithm since many exchanges are reporting inflated turnover.

Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Blocking cryptojacking
|
on: August 05, 2018, 06:11:52 PM

Thanks for letting us know about Nocoin but when I gone through reviews I found this one ; K. Efe EgilmezModified Jun 7, 2018
In the begining it actually worked and blocked the CPU miners. But as the miners aren't stupid, they found ways to bypass the blockers. This is the reason why the developer needs to update the plugin's code regularly. It has not been updated since February 2018 and currently it does not block anything ! This mean developers are not updating their codebase and actually cryptojackers have found way to bypass this extension so it might not work in sites/applications that are not using simple <iframe> code of coinhive or similar service. There is a HUGE crypto jacking scam uncovered today with over 70.000 routers being infected in Brazil alone. (As of August 4th 2018). If you have a MikroTik-brand internet router hackers were able to exploit unauthenticated remote connection installing Coinhive to mine Monero to one single address. The source revealing the fraud was a Chicago Based IT company called Trustwave.
