It is both possible to brute force the dogechain password AND to reset the 2fa.

We have done this for several clients
/KX
Let's assume you are able to Brute force the dogechain password. How will OP be able to reset the 2FA given the fact that they can't even access the account?
Dogechain also claims in the terms and conditions that they won't help with any password or 2FA resetting.

Its possible to request a reset of 2fa by block.io who owns dogechain.info after sending them an email and confirming your identity. Takes about 2 weeks. Its a simple link with mail access. no login needed

How do I recover my dogechain password?
I have 2-factor authenticator active, but doesn't let me in.

I've 500K + Doge in the wallet and did not login for last two years.

It is both possible to brute force the dogechain password AND to reset the 2fa.

25  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Old blockchain.info wallet from 2014 and before -16,17,19 words precovery phrase on: April 04, 2021, 06:52:20 AM
In 2013 and 2014 I had some blockchain.info wallet ... In time I lost emails and identifier, I totally forgot about. Recently I fund the mnemonic, aka seed aka recovery phrase. Wowww I was very happy. But my happy was not for long. The recovery phrases are NOT standard long, like 12 or 24 words, the phrase contain 16, 17 and 19 words + this words are NOT in the BIP39 wordlist.

blockchain info support not answer to my help request. I read on internet, reddit, bitcointalk, etc - that blockchain before 2014 used totally other wordlist (not the standard bip39 wordlist) and script Huh to create this mnemonic (seed)

any help and ideea would be appreciated how can I restore the btc address and private key from this old blockchain info's non standar bip39 wordlist ?

thanks for reading

****forgot to specify the recovery do not work on https://login.blockchain.com/wallet/forgot-password?guid=   ---site response Invalid Checksum

Then one or more words are wrongly written down. there areabout 50000 words for each to change.

we have written a brute forcer for it. if you still need help then pls reach out.

26  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Online Wallet Recovery Services on: March 10, 2021, 04:48:56 AM
I have a (thankfully) small wallet that I've been trying unsuccessfully to restore for awhile, mainly using btcrecover.

I see a few online services with impressive websites that offer to recover wallets and only charge a % if successful.

I'm curious if there is much experience with any online wallet recovery services within this group, and am looking for "reviews" of any experience with any of these services.

Please don't message/offer to try to recover  my wallet yourself. Im just interested in bona-fide experiences with any online services.

Thanks.

27  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Recover 2014 bitcoin wallet on: February 13, 2021, 06:12:50 PM
Hi everyone,

Back in 2014, I bough some BTC, and stored it in a Bitcoin Core wallet. When looking at my email history, I found a Blockchain.info email with my wallet backup.
In this email, I have the following file: wallet.aes.json and my wallet ID.

The issue is that I don't remember my password, and my private key.

Also, the computer on which I had the wallet has been reset, but I managed to access to a previous version thanks to Time Machine. However, when I open Bitcoin Core (already installed), it's not the same BTC address, and there's no fund on it.

Is it possible to recover my wallet with the following?
- Wallet.aes.json file
- Wallet ID
- Bitcoin Address
- The computer on which I had the Bitcoin Core wallet

I did some research and the password seem to be required to decrypt the wallet.aes.json file. But maybe it can be worth paying a hacker for that? I would like to know if it's at least possible to recover the funds one way or another.

Thanks!

there are several versions of blockchain.com v1 wallets from 2014 and not all of them will work with btcrecover or hashcat ( there are at least 3 different known encryptions with 1 and 10 iterations)

even with the correct password you wont be able to unlock the wallet unless you have custom made tools
28  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Blockchain wallet json file on: February 13, 2021, 06:03:35 PM
In 2017 I used blockchain for bitcoins.
I did the following thing:
I had the .json wallet for my wallet address.
Everytime I wanted to access it I imported it.
What I didn't know at the time is that blockchain generates a new "My wallet" address when doing this.
So I got bitcoin transferred to the "My Wallet" address instead of the address that was associated with the json file.
I went to bed and the next day I imported the wallet and.. Of course there were no btc.

So my question is: Is there anyway to gain access to this wallet? It's worth $8k today.

Would the password be the same as the one I use to the json file? And how do I know what the seed is if blockchain generates a new wallet everytime I import the json file?

Best regards.

if you registered with your email you can ask for a reminder and a list of wallet IDs will be sent to you.

good luck

29  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Help with 16 word seed phrase? (10% reward if you can help me) on: February 13, 2021, 05:56:41 PM
I was dumb years ago and wrote a seed phrase down, but with no info about what the wallet is.

It's a 16 word seed where the 13th word is custom. My hunch is a weird HD wallet on blockchain.info, but I don't see where I can recover with 16 words. I've reached out to their support. It could also be metamask or myethereum wallet, but looks like those don't work. MEW didn't work. I'm positive it is not a hardware wallet.

I don't think there is much crypto on this wallet (somewhere between $0 and $1k at 2017 prices), but I will give the person who helps me solve this mystery 10%.

I have written a script that convert the 16 words to a wallet ID and password (if you created the wallet pre 2013 it might only have a username.and password)

it will not work to import to electrum.as this has nothing to do with a hd wallet or mnemonic, its blockchains own format based ona 60k+ wordlist

30  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Dogecoin recovery? Can someone please help on: February 11, 2021, 01:34:33 PM
Your keyfile is name wallet.dat if you used doge core wallet.

If you have the private key already exported, you can import it to Multidoge.

You can download Multidoge light wallet from Multidoge.org.

You can also read my blog about what steps are involved if you need to export the private key once you have the password. It is possible inside bitcoin core without syncing full blockchain.

Stolen bitcoin ended in 1NDyJtNTjmwk5xPNhjgAMu4HDHigtobu1s  wallet ,  a BINANCE.COM wallet . They have a tweet in with they recognize this address belong to them.
The Police send them mail to reveal the entity behind the tranzaction and they don't respond after 2 months.
I realised the  stolen bitcoins from all the world can be exchanged at Binance without ptoblem.
Don't understant why Eu let them operate if they don't colaborate with autorities.

They have recently closed their EU headquarters in Jersey.

Still you should use twitter maybe, CZ is pretty active there.

Good luck
32  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: 5 BTC Reward**** Blockchain.info Alias Identifier on: January 23, 2021, 07:48:25 AM
Hello All,

So I created a wallet in 2013 on blockchain.info which I deposited 100 BTC into. At the time Blockchain.info did not require an email address or any other type of identifying info. Blockchain.info used an alias identifier to recover the wallet ID. I was gone for 7 years and when I returned blockchain.info is now blockchain.com and noone there seems to know anything about an alias identifier. I still remember my alias identifier and my password. I am offering a 5 BTC reward (assuming I can find the missing BTC) for anyone who can help me obtain the wallet identifier.

Matt

Hi Matt,

blockchain.info used their own mnemonic to save the wallet ID/identifier and password that was a sequence of 15-21 words. (They did not use 12 words until 2015/2016)

That sequence will include your login id and password. Maybe you can search for wallet.aes.json files on your drive (they did send out backup wallets in 2013) and or if you have any mail from support. Their email address back then was wallet@blockchain.info

You can read about some steps we did in recovering a really old 2013 blockchain.info wallet like yours a week ago.

33  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Recovering wallet.dat from 2011 on: January 22, 2021, 12:25:35 PM
Hello Everyone,

After 10 years I was able to recover a wallet.dat from a HD that has been partially erased and the board then caught fire. I now have a wallet.dat file that I believe is my original but I am trying to find a way to load it, find the address, anything to see if this is the correct wallet.

When I create a new wallet in Bitcoin Core, replace the new wallet.dat with my recovered one I get an error that it is an invalid format.

When I tried using pywallet I am receiving ":Couldn't open wallet.dat/main. Try quitting Bitcoin and running this again." Any help to get me closer would be very much appreciated.

Below is an image of what opening the wallet.dat looks like in a hex editor

Your best shot is to use pywallet and scan to see if it finds any keys. Encrypted or unencrypted.

What software did you use to recover the file? maybe you should make an image of the drive and scan it with pywallet as well.

You can find the software on github here:https://github.com/jackjack-jj/pywallet

34  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Old blockchain nmemonic - its possible to recover? on: January 19, 2021, 06:00:04 PM
Lately I have often heard many blockchain.com users lose mnemonics, forget passwords etc. Does it have anything to do with the 2019 Airdrop program related to STX? MAYBE PARTIALLY.
Meanwhile, seeds with approximately 16-18 words are very difficult if the sequence is missing or there are 2 words missing. and cases like this have a nearly 20% chance of success.
I was one of the people who lost 0.003 bitcoins because of it. and decided to take off the blockchain account for a moment ..

I think this is mostly because their seed mnemonics could be anything from 15 to 21 words and their wordlist was really weird almost 50000 words.

We have backward engineered their source code from 2013/14 (now removed from their github but we found an internet archive partial snapshot) and are able to find the mnemonic seed even with 2-3 words wrong or missing

37  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Help me to recover funds from 18 phrases on: January 19, 2021, 05:18:36 PM
I own a wallet(blockchain) in which i have't logged in from last 1.5 years, I have 18 phrases which is if i understand correctly is part of legacy blockchain wallet. The problem is that somehow i am unable to receive any emails from "blockchain.info" to authorize my login attempt, I have talked to the support team but they are unable to help.

Can someone guide me a way which i can use to regain access to the funds ? My phrases are right as i verified them on the blockchain legacy recovery page which give me my wallet id and password.

Can someone guide me as to how can i recover my funds from the 18 phrases other than using blockchain wallet recovery method.

Yes we can help you. Just recovered an 2013 wallet with 17 words.

Hello everyone,

I have logged around a year ago to my blockchain.info wallet.
I have also recorded the resovery passphrase words (I have 17 of them).

Now, I cannot log in (my password does not work) but also if I try to recover using my passphrase, the site saiz I need to use my "12 worded passphrase".

This is weird, because I have 17 words written down Huh . (I tried to use them too, but with no luck).

Anybody has the same issue?

Thanks a lot in advance for your help.

If you still need help we just recovered a 17 word wallet from 2013 with blockchain.info

39  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: RESTORING ELECTRUM FROM 2014 on: January 13, 2021, 07:59:25 PM
AH ok but how come that wallet with wrong seed can be created ? and if how come u can see receiving green adresses when history is empty ...
Any "valid" seed will allow you to generate a wallet and restore the addresses... empty or not. Electrum allows a user to create multiple wallets. It would appear you have written down a "valid" seed, but for a different wallet.

This amazed me and iam trying to find out different wallet on every oldmail , but it appear i used blockchain but that seed is not valid so iam stuck with electrum .

This is my old blockchain wallet - 3da37fbb-3d8b-4a40-8dc5-2ae5cb59f093
So i think i have same issue as - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1961522.0

Good job chief, you  have exposed your wallet to every hcker there is

If you have a mnemonic from 2014, they used a different wordlist in 2014 ( blockchain.info)

You will he unlucky to derive any info today as the rwcovery page is broken

You would need custom tools. Mnemonics from 2014 will derive your UUID and password

Thanks HCP and NotATether! I'm writing some masks for the passwords patterns I usually use and this will be very helpful.
I must say I'm quite impressed with hashcat capabilities.

Masks are useless. Try with rules. Its much more efficient and will increase the speed sometimes 90%
.

Pure brutforce is slow...
