1163  Economy / Speculation / Re: Still great time to sell litecoin and bitcoin. on: August 13, 2014, 12:57:24 PM
trend is up. trend is your friend. never trade against the trend.

Exactly! Speaking of which, where do you see the trend is up? Mid-term trend has been going sideways, long-term trend is still down or at least bottoming, uptrend hasn't started yet (breakout above $700 would signal the start of uptrend).

Oh, I got it, you must be talking about noise price fluctuations, lasting days and or weeks at the longest. I see now, you're a day-trader.
When discussing trends you can really use any time period to make it look in your favor.

I would disagree that this is a "good" time to sell bitcoin. The price has recently declined so the price is low. Bitcoin does have a lot of long term potential and will likely end up at much higher levels then it is now.

LTC on the other hand, not so much

When I said I don't find the trend is up anywhere in sight, I mean the trend started from when the price of Bitcoin reached its all time high back in December 2013, that's the only trend I look at and it looks downwards or sideways at best. This is a mid-term trend I check for trading decisions or we can call it long-term trend if months is long-term.

The longest Long-term trend measured in years from January 2009 is still up I believe.

Any other short-term price movements lasting weeks - I am not interested in those, because they are not trends.
1164  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DOGE] Dogecoin - very currency many coin - v1.7 Available on: August 13, 2014, 11:20:28 AM
Yes , but that has been already taken into account by the markets.People always talk about the 21mils bitcoin not about the current mined ones.

But miners sell coins each day nonetheless, 3600 new Bitcoins are mined each day, that's a lot of selling pressure, so we can't really say the markets have already taken 21 million into account. The market is in sort of equilibrium now, bouncing in the 550-650 range, but it's going to take a lot more capital injections to move it higher.

As for Doge - there are reasons to believe it has finally hit its rock bottom and the downside is limited (20 satoshi might be the lowest low), it only takes very few bitcoins to support daily production of doges and that number will be going down quickly, to a negligible amount.

Anyone that can give me a brief explanation about what happened to doge?

Some months ago 9 out of 10 threads in this forum were about doge... Has it completed the pump and dump cycle or is it something else...
It's a shame if it is dead because although i 'm not into alt coins the community of this one was standing above the rest...

It's not dead, developers are quite active building some infrastructure around it. Doge quickened the inflation period and naturally hit the bottom of price correction faster than other coins (Litecoin closely following).

All cryptos are pump-n-dumps and some go thru pump-n-dumps a few times in their lifetime. What matters is which of them rise after dumps and which go to oblivion.
1165  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DOGE] Dogecoin - very currency many coin - v1.7 Available on: August 13, 2014, 10:25:49 AM
Bitcoin has a target..21 million coins.
Doge has another target... unlimited supply.

But don't get me wrong.
As a currency doge has no future with this numbers. As a fun coin , tipping coin or crowd funding it will never die.

Ps. I never was very optimistic about the future.
Unlike you....

Yeah, but before that target of 21 million is reached, it's going to inflate a lot. While Doge will already be inflating less than others before the end of this year.

I admit I was too optimistic about Dogecoin's short-term future. I still believe Dogecoin can hit $0.01, but not this year.

We learn all the time and it's wisdom to maintain a balanced view on things, and I have rebalanced mine in the past 2-3 months, hopefully gained a bit more wisdom than in April Smiley

I warned everyone that an inflationary coin has no future

Do you mean Bitcoin with its double-digit inflation this and next year? Why are you suddenly so pessimistic about its future? What non-inflationary crypto do you prefer?
1167  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why you should be buying Qora. on: August 13, 2014, 08:19:40 AM
Qora to NXT is like Litecoin to Bitcoin.

Bitcoin and NXT have first mover advantage to Litecoin and Qora respectively.
That's why Litecoin is going down, although it's massively undervalued compared to Bitcoin, even though they are technically the same.

Qora is not even technically the same as NXT, as it doesn't offer anything new compared to NXT and even lacks the features NXT already has. Voting feature doesn't bring any value as it turns out, well, it's nice to have when setting up polls for asset holders, but Qora doesn't even have AE yet to make use of the Voting feature, and given how long it takes to develop AE and make it run smoothly if we observe NXT development progress, I doubt it will come in the next month, maybe we'll see AE in Qora in October. This explains why the price of Qora is staying so low. Why would holders of NXT switch to Qora under the above listed circumstances really escapes me. Remember that the PoW crowd is sticking with their PoW toys, they consider PoS cryptos a scam. I own a little Qora, it's a nice backup and I like that I can close the wallet recently without making the blockchain corrupt, so there is definately progress, as to how fast it is, we shall see. I am not attacking Qora, just explaining why I think its price is staying low.
1168  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why you should be buying Qora. on: August 13, 2014, 07:55:33 AM
Qora is not a clone of NXT. But it's not enough these days not to be a clone for the price to go up.

NXT is massively undervalued compared to Bitcoin, which is going to be corrected.

Qora is a PoS crypto, and mostly has other PoS crypto believers invest in it, not the PoW crowd, but most other PoS believers are heavily invested in NXT and consider Qora a nice backup and diversification tool in case NXT fails for some reason.

1170  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Litecoin TANKING...opinions on future outlook both nearterm and long term? on: August 13, 2014, 06:57:59 AM
I hope you gona buy soon im waiting for more dumping till 5 then willl be buying 2 btc worth of ltc next will it should rise back to 6

No, I am not buying Litecoin again. It's clearly dying. I would put more trust in Dogecoin now than I would in Litecoin, not that Dogecoin is very promising either, but at least Dogecoin hit the rock bottom and Litecoin hasn't yet.
1171  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Litecoin TANKING...opinions on future outlook both nearterm and long term? on: August 13, 2014, 06:50:59 AM
I guess not. Keep on crying buddy.  Roll Eyes

See, a friendly nudge again and you overreact Smiley
Why would I cry, I sold all my Litecoins in March.
1172  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Litecoin TANKING...opinions on future outlook both nearterm and long term? on: August 13, 2014, 06:45:04 AM
Man China looks nasty...  an extended drop looks likely.

no worries, smoothie is watching like a hawk to save Litecoin when it's most needed Smiley
1173  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Litecoin TANKING...opinions on future outlook both nearterm and long term? on: August 13, 2014, 06:41:24 AM
I guess that's a "Yes"? lol

If this helps you sleep better, coinsider it yes Smiley
1174  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Litecoin TANKING...opinions on future outlook both nearterm and long term? on: August 13, 2014, 06:39:17 AM
In.....your....opinion.

Are you done crying now? lol

Since we're both laughing at this little non-issue obviously, let's call it a day Smiley unless you have anything else to add to this heated debate Smiley
1175  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Litecoin TANKING...opinions on future outlook both nearterm and long term? on: August 13, 2014, 06:35:09 AM
smoothie,

check out post #39 of this thread, all I asked you was a simple question as a sort of friendly nudge which you could just make a joke about and it'd be all over Smiley You were the one who had to bring all this out again about that bet. Now you ended in the position where you have to explain yourself away. That'll teach you a lesson. Or not. Old habits die hard, as they say Smiley

Oh you mean the post where you :

1. Got the value wrong and had to remind you what was really discussed just to have you say "whatever"?

2. Decided to bring something up that obviously I thought was over with?

3. Attempted to call me out on a bet that you yourself backed out on?

 Tongue

And after all of that have the audacity to call me dishonest / predator / baby? Yes I will speak up when you attempt to put me into a category like that.

smoothie,

sure you can speak up. That doesn't change anything. You behave like a baby now. You tried to take advantage of me by setting unfair terms of the bet. That was a dishonest act towards me. Now your reputation is at stake and you have to protect it by offering excuses. Good luck with that Smiley

Oh and I never said Litecoin wasn't going down below 0.008 in 2014. haha

You could be a rotschild if you got a dollar each time you try to play with words. Are/were you a lawyer by any chance? Smiley In the end it all boils down to your trying to save your face now that you were called out. The only way to save your reputation is to admit you had tried to take advantage of me by setting unfair terms of the bet. But I don't expect you to do that, of course, given what I think about your moral principles. Well, I am not the one to make the first step to save your reputation, I don't get any benefits from that, you're the one who has to do it, only you can help yourself Smiley
1178  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why you should be buying Qora. on: August 13, 2014, 06:00:06 AM
Every time you promote Qora and try to paint NXT in bad light, you actually do disservice to Qora and promote NXT Smiley
1179  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Black Tuesday for altcoins! on: August 13, 2014, 05:33:47 AM
Perfect time to buy your favorite altcoin, if you're sure about its future of course Wink

Yeah, I loaded up on NXT and another 2.0 coin.

Which other 2.0 coin? Just curious, I might check it out too.
1180  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: If there was a bitcoin backed by something valuable on: August 13, 2014, 05:30:42 AM
so if anyone is interested in me creating a coin in the coming months, with the work in it let me know, Im willing to back the coin for 25 dollars of each coin and releasing coins depending on how many produce comes out of the ground, then those can be mined.

You are obviously at a wrong forum. Crypto currencies are about decentralization. Without decentralization they are as good as toilet paper. Oh wait, toilet paper is better, you can actually use it Smiley
