361  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: incorrect btc with linux core version 0.12.0 64 bit imort privat key on: April 02, 2016, 04:28:35 PM
Open up the terminal and type
Code:
bitcoin-qt -rescan

does anone know why i cant use the builtin rescan option ?

it's not just you. it wasn't made to be used that way.

tried it using Cygwin and this one worked for me:
Code:
./bitcoin-qt -rescan

if you get "no such file or directory" message. change your directory using the method I posted above.
362  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: incorrect btc with linux core version 0.12.0 64 bit imort privat key on: April 02, 2016, 03:29:11 PM
you are right thats what i did i just entered it in the built-in console
i dont know how to start the core with rescan
i do this the first time linux is new to me and i never imported with a privat key befor

can you give instructions how i start with rescan?

I'm not very experienced with linux either.
just like knightdk said. open the terminal (that's Ctrl+Alt+T) then enter this:
Code:
bitcoin-qt -rescan

if that somehow didn't work (that should work for installed programs though), move to the directory where bitcoin-qt are located by typing:
Code:
cd /[path to the folder containing bitcoin qt]

and try again.
363  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: incorrect btc with linux core version 0.12.0 64 bit imort privat key on: April 02, 2016, 03:07:28 PM
Open up the terminal and type
Code:
bitcoin-qt -rescan
tryed it but got this error

metode not found  code -32601

is there a different way i can rescan?

you sure you started core with -rescan and not just entered what knightdk posted on the built-in console?

365  Economy / Auctions / Re: Full Member account Going Cheap on: April 02, 2016, 02:31:50 PM
The Address is not stacked. ( also i dont know how to stack the account  Sad).

again. confusion because all of this "stake" thing.  Undecided

have you posted a wallet address on this forum before? that, my friend, is the so called staking.
signing (how to) from a posted/staked address will prove that you own the account.
366  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Wallet / unsafe computer on: April 02, 2016, 01:35:14 PM
not safe? then make it safe. and/or use hardware wallets like trezor. most hardware wallets are cheap and very easy to use.
367  Economy / Speculation / Re: End of the 2016 - BTC Price Prediction on: April 02, 2016, 01:27:53 PM
am curious. how does scientific prediction looks like?  Tongue does it include factors like global warming and unexpected weathers?
368  Other / Meta / Re: Why are you all writing BITC0IN upside down? on: April 01, 2016, 06:45:55 PM
lol. Danny went and did what suchmoon suggested.

BITCOIN < nothing's wrong. people wanted to rename BTCitcoin to uᴉoɔʇᴉq. I guess.
369  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Need help in transferring my BTC wallet to another wallet... on: April 01, 2016, 06:40:34 PM
I advise you to stop using web services as your primary wallet.

download a wallet from this page and they will generate addresses for you to use. transfer your bitcoins there.
don't choose bitcoin core if you don't want to download 70GB of data. the best spv wallets (wallets that doesn't need you to download the whole blockchain) in my opinion are electrum and multibit wallet.

april fools joke. there's a lot of threads about this already. I'm surprised some people still don't know what it is. that's literally the first thing I noticed when I logged in.
372  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: backup of the index on: April 01, 2016, 06:03:54 PM
you can back up anything in the blocks folder including the index folder and load it later if your files get corrupted.
373  Economy / Digital goods / Re: [WTS] Yify Torrents Backup (about a month before it got shutdown) on: April 01, 2016, 05:25:50 PM
anyone can just go to kat and search for torrents uploaded by YIFY...
374  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is it possible for otheres to know what wallet my address is in? on: April 01, 2016, 05:18:13 PM
not unless you send transaction(s) with inputs from different addresses (spend link).

No , it is not possible , but a user can trace out category of wallet you are using like multi-signature or not.

trace? you can tell just by looking at the prefix.
375  Other / Meta / Re: Stake your uᴉoɔʇᴉq address here on: April 01, 2016, 04:56:42 PM
I have done it with Multibit, let me try with electrum now, but it will be another wallet address.
So here I go:

378  Other / Meta / Re: This needs to Stop.. on: April 01, 2016, 03:58:03 PM
There should be a way to filter out such posters. There are more ,I choose the one from Highest paying signature campaign.  It becomes quite difficult to keep a count of such posts since one has go through  20 pages to find the repetitive posters .Any solutions ?
Select the "All" option -> ctrl + F -> jt byte.

that or use the print page in case of threads with more than 25 pages.
actually the print page is much more lighter because it's on plain text.
379  Other / Meta / Re: ??? Huge problem with the word 'uᴉoɔʇᴉq' in titles/threads going on right now??? on: April 01, 2016, 02:50:18 PM
Actual huge problem: this completely breaks links containing the word "uᴉoɔʇᴉq" in the URL, eg uᴉoɔʇᴉq.org. Undecided

it's only for a day. should be fixed by tomorrow.
I think that a little chaos every now and then is actually good.  Tongue
380  Other / Meta / Re: What is a Proxyban? on: March 31, 2016, 10:13:21 PM
So you are saying I might have to pay for something evil someone else did?

I don't know what lutpin was saying. but yes, you might.

Also what I don't get is that the other account I made got that message, but this account didn't and I'm using the same IP address.  So why the difference?

that happened to me too. unless you're using a VPN, you can randomly get evil points because:
Quote
their IP and some of their neighboring IPs receive evil points

or your ISP changed your IP to an evil one.
