222  Economy / Speculation / Re: No bull market for 2019 on: March 25, 2019, 06:08:49 PM
No one can really tell, but lets be thankful that people like Tom Lee are now bringing highlights for all of us here, though were in almost Q2 now and bitcoin price is staying stable in $4,000 range still we are looking for good indicators for us to re invest again.hope in before Q3 we will see some best views for the new bullrun
Those who said there's no bull run might regret when the price starts to pump.
What I am expecting is that we will have a big recovery this year, this market is not always bearish, therefore it's time for a change.

People do make their prediction based on TA or many factors but they cannot be right all the time, crypto will once again surprise us and we will not see it coming.
It is best to partake in the investment now and wait for a long term. Normally, the bull run we have experienced in the past is my personal belief that it was an abnormal one, the last one came as a result of a manipulation from somewhere causing sudden spike in price. The real bull run takes time and does not come easily or sharply but gradually.

If we look at the bull of stock market, it usually come and stays for a long term which is the way a normally healthy bull run should operate, we just have to be very patient to be able to have a very healthy bull that will not come to an end suddenly and keep us in a bear market for a very long term.
223  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Looking to invest in a couple alts.. on: March 25, 2019, 04:15:24 PM
Hi,
I've got a small bit of money to invest with. I trade these days. But it'd give me peace of mind knowing I'm also holding a bit.

I'm thinking of going with Ethereum. maybe 50% ETH / 50% BTC
Are there any of the top10 altcoins that are currently a better buy than ETH?
Your choice is ok but I will also advise that you make BNB your priority too. Maybe 40% BTC, 30% ETH, 10% BNB and the remaining 10% should be shared among other altcoins such as BTT and ADA, aside all these suggestions you will get from forum here which some of them sill still be based on personal interest because everyone will like to also promote one or two coins he/she has invested in so there can be a boost in the market cap of such coin, you can also go on coinmarket cap and research on the top altcoins on the list, you still have to be careful with this since I have been hearing lately that coin market do fake some of these volumes sometime.
224  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Stay Calm, IEOs aren't a threat on: March 25, 2019, 03:18:59 PM
Ieo is just the the same kind of ICO or STO, but it had different purpose of each of them. But they have the same definition to gather fund.
Sure they have the same crowd funding definition and we can as well say that it’s structure its typically ICO structure,  but this time around going through exchanges that has verified them and can guarantee that yes, it is a good project.

IEO projects builds the confidence of investors more than the ICO since it is being operated directly by the exchanges and investors can have people to hold responsible in the event that something goes wrong with the investment, because this is the assurance exchanges gives through the IEO that investors are in safe hand. Most IEO projects don’t also go through campaigns like ICO does.
225  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Dead cat bounce or the start of bull market? on: March 25, 2019, 02:44:21 PM
There has indeed been major movements in the market these past few days with several projects showing rapid price appreciation. However, most have fallen almost instantly leading me to believe that, it is all manipulations from the elite causing us to FOMO while they dump on us as always leaving us with regrets. I will advice anyone to leap carefully.
yes jump carefully because the market is still often up and down so you are not trapped.
dead cats bouncing or the beginning of a rising market, it is not yet clear whether this is the beginning of a hike or this is just a trap, I do not understand and hopefully this is a process for major changes, so this condition ends and the beauty approaches.
We just need to be more careful in our speculations so we don’t end up being the victim or create FOMO ourselves when the market has not created any.

I don’t think it is every price action we see in the market that we should always believe is from whales. Sometimes we are the whales ourselves, a lot of users are beginning to make use of their trading skills, most of us enter the market now with the intention of not just holding but trading with their investment, sometimes, it could just be a coincidence that some decisions made by these traders at a particular point in time to either buy or sell coincided, leading to those fluctuations.
226  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin at $9,000 by the end of the year on: March 24, 2019, 08:08:07 PM
From the price falling low reaching around $3000 the price of bitcoin has recovered reaching close to $4100 by now. Maybe the growth of bitcoin can go away from the prediction, but with the present market growth pattern I expect the price will reach at least $10000 if the similar growth pattrern continues till the end of the year.
little by little but sure. Bitcoin prices continue to rise, although I feel that it is quite difficult to stay at $ 4k, but I think that in this year, the price of bitcoin will probably approach the price of $ 9,000 or even more.
From what we can see in market, i think people start to accumulate bitcoin and other crypto. For me maybe i only will wait for better price in future, especially halving of bitcoin that almost come.
Let me get you right mate, you mean better price as in fall in price to accumulate or better price to sell off because if you are waiting for a fall in price which some people term as better price to accumulate, you might be making a very wrong decision because the bitcoin halving is slated for next year and halving may occur when the price of bitcoin has already reached uptrend which halving will not force it down below the price it is now.

The best price you can get for now is this because as from next month, what we will continually see is the upward trend in price of bitcoin till the halving comes and after which we will experience a bull run.
227  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have you ever managed to recover your losses? on: March 21, 2019, 08:04:16 PM
As far i remember i never did it and during gambling i never bothered to lost because i do realize that is the risk of gambling and if i lost i was never thinking and pushing myself to recover my previous lost because usually after lost i will decide to stop gambling on that day and will back again tomorrow if i have money
You never bothered to lose in gambling ? Do you win every time you gamble? If that is so, you should write in detail about it.
I believe that gambling is only a way of making money for those who can win either by experience or luck or strategy.
I do not but it if you say you want to gamble and you do not know a thing about gambling.

There are other ways of making money as well and you can also try to compensate your losses in those businesses unlike in gambling where if you loose, it’s gone.
228  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Excessive confidence in cryptocurrency trading. on: March 21, 2019, 07:37:22 PM
Some traders and investors think that when trading with crypto currency, one must be bold and confident and make quick decisions. Is excessive confidence in cryptocurrency trading better than doubt and fear, or is it a big drawback?
Having so much confidence in the market will make you too familiar with the market, and once you become familiar with the crypto market, it becomes so hard for you to prefect how the market will go because crypto is very volatile and can go anyway it chooses to go.

I think what will make one gain a lot is learning the tactics and analyzing the market accurately in order to be sure about a market before buying into it.
Excessive confidence is made in something on the basis of knowledge of that thing.
If you have the knowledge about cryptocurrency. I assume you would call it the future of the financial market, then it is a good thing to have huge confidence in cryptocurrency because I have the same concept about cryptocurrency.

You should be holding coins of great potential fir long may be ten years from now and they will be big things not even predicted yet.
229  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: small gains but cant make it big on: March 21, 2019, 07:16:59 PM
For me, crypto is unpredictable things so every people have their own luck.
But 1 things for sure is holding for long term if you want to make great profit  ( I did it with bitcoin 4 years ago )

Usually I'm doing simple TA attempt , when I saw MA 100 over 200 with Week period, It's great to invest !

It is beneficial once you buy at lower price than holding will help you to make money in the long term and that too
If you hold the top coins you can make a fortune of money from it which will help you to have a retire life a very peaceful one .
Of course it is but not everyone does that. People fear the market when there is a crash.
In the same time they want to make millions of dollars. This should be understood that big money cannot be made without taking risk.

You have to out in big money if you want to make big profits. Gain experience with small money and invest big after that. Also you can look for startups ideas based on blockchain and this could make you a celebrity in the crypto world.
230  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Publish0x - The next Steemit? on: March 21, 2019, 05:44:44 PM
Recently I discovered a new blogging platform called Publish0x that rewards you not just for writing content but also for tipping (upvoting / liking) articles. What is different to Steemit is that they do not have their own native token, but use a token that is already listed on CoinMarketCap.
That doesn’t really make any sense, they are just repeating what has already been done and they might not go far with it. There is no longer any unique projects in the crypto platform (if there is, they are hard to find). Steemit will remain the best and I really like Steemit, though I haven’t used or earned anything from it, cause I’m not writer. But, I do visit the site a lot of times.

Mostly Steemit replication so i think the whole thing is just same old same old no much difference just a choice to either use steemit or publish0x and basically steemit is known and have market am not sure for your coin
Does Steemit reward users for up voting contents on their site? I don’t really think so. The only thing I’m sure they do is reward writers when their articles are up voted by readers. But according op, this publishOX or whatever it is called, rewards readers too for up voting contents they see on the site and that makes it a bit easy for newbies to earn rewards. I might as well check  it out.
231  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Next New Cryptocurrency on: March 21, 2019, 05:08:44 PM
If facebook launch new cryptocurrency then this can turn popular and of course this is to promote also crypto worldwide in some ways like many users will see fb coin first then after that next are bitcoin and altcoins another thing some social site will follow also this because we know that they really follow or inspired by facebook then they give so much convenience like in messaging and many social site are stress reliever
Companies are now jumping into cryptocurrency and producing theirs, and they are just doing all this just to fill their pockets and that’s it. None of them are doing because of the love they may have crypto, they are just doing it because they have seen a lot of money being made from it, so every one of them now wants to make the money and nothing else. They release a cryptocurrency and we will all be the ones to invest in them and help those companies to make money which they will invest in other parts of their businesses and before you know it, the price of their coin has decreased and investors will lose.

Now that Facebook has announced that they will come out with their own cryptocurrency, which platform do you reckon will be next? I’ve heard rumours that it could be twitter.
It’s quite funny how some people think. So just because you heard a rumor that Facebook will be releasing a cryptocurrency (which is probably a lie) and you now think that Twitter will also be releasing their own crypto?. Funny indeed. But the truth is that none of them is releasing anything like that.
232  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Profitable Cryptocurrencies to Mine on: March 21, 2019, 04:34:33 PM
Coins with low difficulty, doesn't matter if it's gpu or asic, i think you should pick a coin that isnt really popular, but with high volume so when you sell the coin the spread of each buy order isn't that much.
Picking coins that are not popular will be quite a mistake. You won’t make any profit from mining such coins and why would you go for such a coin when you can even mine Ethereum (ETH)? Ethereum is an all round good coin and a perfect choice both for mining and investment, anyone decide to go for and among the top twenty coins there are other coins that are profitable too.

As now you know what all is required to mine a cryptocurrency, let’s explore the best coin to mine in 2019:
The truth is that crypto mining is no longer profitable as it used to be. There was a time when people can easily mine crypto with their computer cause back then it can be mined with just the CPU. But this time around, it’s getting difficult to the extent you can’t even mine it at home, cause you will ASIC which consumes a lot of power, unless you get cheap electricity. If anyone would like to mine crypto I will be suggesting that they go for Ethereum, Zcash, Monero, Horizen, Vertcoin. If you want to go for Bitcoin, uhhhm… that’s your choice.
233  Economy / Speculation / Re: Market Volume on: March 21, 2019, 03:50:26 PM
The volume has been unusually high for the past few weeks. Do you think wash trading with USDT is taking place? Any other thoughts of what's happening?
Bears has been in control of the cryptocurrency market and the market kept on going down for a long time till now. Just recently, the price has started going back up and has been able to cross the $4,000 mark and I'm hoping that this is the bull run that we all have been talking about all this while. I have been following up with a lot of sites on their analysis, and none of them hasn't when exactly it is going to be.

Many exchanges have fake volumes. Coinbene and Okex are not only ones
This is not a new thing with respect to trading markets. Yes, it is an usual practice among exchange operators just to make common people to be interested in trading. When there will be lack of liquidation, they needed to fill "the gaps" by their own orders. Now a days bots are doing the same for the operators.
234  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why I am buying bitcoins - and why I am keeping them. on: March 21, 2019, 11:36:31 AM
I am not sure if I understood your reply well but you have to consider several factors on why purchasing bitcoins can be a smart investment move. First, bitcoins are a good store-of-value since its price can be converted to large amounts of cash. Second, its volatility makes it an unique type of investment, which focuses more on short-term than long-term investment. Third, its scarce supply can possibly be an advantage for long-term investment as well.

The price may be very unstable and we are currently on a bearish slump but take this as an advantage for acquiring bitcoins since lots of large investment companies are starting to accept bitcoin as an alternative to their products/services.
Lolzzz that's quite funny how you said that Bitcoin is a good store of value. Well it can be, and that is if you're lucky and able to pull off some smart investment move by investing at the right time. It doesn't really work for everyone, cause there are people that invest their money but ends up losing everything. So, anyone who decides to use Bitcoin to store their value should be very careful about it cause it might not work out the way they expect it.

I'm a bit confused with what you have said here about fiat and gold. How do you see that they are losing value and dropping to zero? Lol, cryptocurrency is the only thing that loses value every time and it does that more than every other asset or currency. Bitcoin and every other cryptocurrency you will see in the market are just highly volatile and if you keep money in them you should also be ready to take the risk that follows ,cause you're either going to lose that money or maybe gain it if you're lucky
235  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Could a coin price be locked in place? on: March 20, 2019, 07:02:24 PM
I'm not talking about these supposed stablecoins like Tether, but normal coins.  Let's say an agreement was made among all the major Bitcoin exchanges.  Starting January 1, a Bitcoin is worth $5000 USD, plain and simple, and that's it.  The price never goes higher or lower.  A Bitcoin is $5000 today, tomorrow, next week, next month, etc.  NOTHING changes it.  Not a war, not the economy, not Trump getting re-elected (which he will, he's doing a great job), nothing.

I wonder if that could be done and what the effect would be.

One effect is that I wouldn't be buying BTC, because with no price volatility, how could I ever make a profit?  But one good thing is that normal companies may be more inclined to use Bitcoin, since its price is now fixed and does not change.
Nah, no coin can get its price locked in place, they will always fluctuate, unless you're talking about USDT.

But, I don't really know much about those cause I never made use of them. I make use of Luno wallet and it's pretty good cause I'm always able to convert my coins to fiat at anytime and can also convert it back to cryptocurrency quickly.

It's really cool to have a wallet that can do that, cause it saves me a lot of times. Luno is not the only wallet that does that, there are many others too, but Luno is what I make use of.
236  Economy / Speculation / Re: Many cryptocurrency players have gone bankrupt on: March 20, 2019, 06:32:29 PM
Am I the only one that blames these exchanges whenever I hear that any of them went bankrupt ?
They should be blamed, cause any company that does it work well and manages their finance professionally will never go bankrupt.

Some of them are blinded by their greediness and because they want to just make money, before you know it they start complaining they have gone bankrupt. That is why you should check out the crew that are running any exchange to know if they are professionals.
237  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Bad "good" news. on: March 20, 2019, 05:47:25 PM
Friends, the news background on the crypto market has been very active lately, and in a rather positive way, but not every good news is true. How does this affect your investments and strategy on the market? How to protect against fakes?
it depends on yourself, look in detail, and be vigilant about fraud, forgery that they do that you should not invest, so you do that, look in detail, clear and precise, about the news about investment, my advice is not lust so can harm yourself
Yep. And it's not good to trust any source. I have learnt not to trust them, cause no matter how good the source might or how popular it is, there is still every possibility that they can post a fake news. They can be paid to upload a fake news to their site and they will do just that. You don't really need to question them because what they are doing is business and there is nothing you can do. That's why sites like Cointelegraph will always give you warning to know that some articles in the site are based on the authors point of view and you shouldn't blame Cointelegraph.com in the case something happens.

There is really nothing you can do about all the fake news that you will see on the internet. The best thing you can do for yourself is to be careful and choose the things you believe are true and leave those ones that are fake. And read news from a lot of sources, that way you will be able to tell if they are saying the truth or not. But if you think there is a way to stop fake news from going online, then you will be wasting your time.
238  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Confidence in Cryptocurrency on: March 19, 2019, 08:43:17 PM
I have tried to ask myself this question many times: What can be done to restore and foster investors' confidence in cryptocurrency?
There have been several incidences, most especially as regards the issues of hack of exchanges and several other forms of stolen funds, which has in turn cause down trend at some points in the crypto space.
These incidences have made a lot of people to be at their wit ends, not knowing what to do.

If I should ask everyone what can be done to foster confidence, we will all have different things to say. Nonetheless, suggestions are welcome, but before that, I just feel that regulation is part of the main language that can restore.
Aside that, if exchanges have not started the process of insuring the funds on users on their platform, it will be good they start that.
I don't really know what can be done about it, but I think it's up to the investors to learn from their mistakes and avoid such mistakes in the future. Exchanges too should learn and also improve their level of security, improving and leveling up is something they have to do regularly and make sure that the site is secured and there is no way for hackers to carry out their plans and all that.

That's all I can say, you can't just restore confidence with a snap of your fingers, it's not magic. By the time they watch and see how good things are getting over time, they will all get back on the ship.
239  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bittrex cancelled RAID IEO Offering at the last minute. on: March 18, 2019, 08:48:21 PM
Just noticed from Bittrex Twitter they cancelled their RAID IEO offering.

[cente r] [im g]https://i.imgur.com/DVUecg0.jpg[/img]

I am not sure or they didn't explained yet why they change their mind at the last minutes. But I believe they take good decisions. Because people's believe on Bittrex, not on ICO in my opinion. But I think that decision will effect on their trust also. There many questions could be raise, why they had chosen this project without verify everything? And why they decide to cancel again ?

According to Bittrex they will explain more briefly. Let's see what about their explanation.
Nobody is perfect mate and as far as they are not God, they are bound to make mistakes, what makes them strong is ability to detect the mistake on time and being able to quickly make adjustment because they care about their users. Probably they might have noticed something fishy along the line and suspended the ICO first until they verify it.

This shows that we are not just dealing with a system but real humans that understand what is going on in the system and taking necessary precaution to also make it better.
240  Economy / Economics / Re: Cashless Economy: Is Society ready for transformation? on: March 18, 2019, 08:28:15 PM
india, maybe this country is indeed one of the countries with a large cryptocurrency circulation and even some ICOs are from this country, but I am not sure that this country can use the cryptocurrency as a whole.

This dont mean that they are cashless. There is one of countries that used the most crypto but cashless society is something where you dont use paper money you pay with cards or mobile phones. In general this king of usage is still far from being completely cashless but we are going in the right direction.

I agree. It's too early to even consider a majority in cashless transactions. Though slowly people are already seeing the benefits of it when it comes to convenience and efficiency, a lot still don't have access to either information or tools to rely mostly on cashless dealings. It may come but not yet.
Very correct Mate. Assuming that a country has become cashless because of its huge crypto usage is not correct.
To be cashless means fiat to be completely erased and digital money the only accepted means of exchange. This is still a work in process, It will be achieved but for now not yet, and you have basically hit the nail on the head to mention that it is too early.

Let’s just keep spreading more news on the adoption of BTC rather than getting on a baseless argument. A cashless society which will be based on digital fiats will be a testing phase of crypto society to study pros and cons of adopting bitcoins. We need to spread awareness on bitcoin adoptions in between time cashless society also will groom to the state of adopting cryptos instantly on first hearing.
