41  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to receive your salary in Bitcoin? on: May 06, 2019, 05:25:05 AM
Hi all. Bitcoin newbie here posting for the first time.

I am a Youtuber earning a living from the money I make with my videos. That money is paid to me by Google through international bank transfers. There's no other payment method.

I'm looking for some way to receive that money in Bitcoin. Some kind of service that receives your salary for you from your employer, converts it to Bitcoin and pays it to you. That would be really useful to people who work for companies that refuse to pay in crypto.

Recently I found an Australian company called Get Paid In Bitcoin (https://getpaidinbitcoin.com.au/) that does just that. You give your employer their bank details, they receive your payment, convert it to Bitcoin and transfer it to your wallet, after a fee. However, unfortunately, they only work in Australia. Which doesn't make sense to me, since Bitcoin doesn't differ national to international transfers. Maybe someone knows of a similar service that works internationally?

Why don't I simply receive my income in fiat currency and then buy Bitcoin with it? Because I want my income to stay as much away from banks as possible. My goal is to avoid taxation, which in my country is absurdly abusive.

Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
Any platform similar to the platform you introduced maybe scam or just another ponzi scheme who are sitting over there just to rip you off. If you are a newbie then always do remember to be more cautious and only trust on the platform having live example or several happy users. It would get challenging for you to find whether the platform is real or scam as you are new and lack in some knowledge but you should always check on the reviews for such sites.

Also there are some platforms which offer bitcoins for youtube promotion which may work simultaneously like adsense. The cryptocurrency field is developing strongly and if you stay close to the markets, you will surely see something good coming up where you can earn good amount of profits in cryptos.
42  Economy / Economics / Re: Future of Bitcoins - What will happens to BTC on: May 05, 2019, 05:57:00 PM
Bitcoin will have a bright future because big companies like Amazon, Facebook etc is already using it as a mode of payment, we know that those two giant company have billions of users around the world. Bitcoin will become mainstream in the years to come.
We have only heard that they are planning to do so and it is still a rumor until they implement it, but if they do implement the use of cryptocurrency, it will really be a big boost in the crypto world and the adoption we have always wanted would be very fast like the twinkle of an eye.

So many other big companies like Samsung, JP Morgan, visa and the rest are rumored to be planning on using the blockchain technology through cryptocurrency to operate part of their businesses and if the can really work this out, then the future of cryptocurrency will be fully guaranteed without any form of doubt.
43  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: eBay sellers on: May 05, 2019, 03:28:34 PM
The example you mentioned can't be found. But, even I have encountered such problem and I think that this is something which could not be trusted upon. You should always use Ebay smart payments where the funds would also be escrowed so that the chances to have any scam are pretty less there.

The sellers who are demanding direct payments via cryptos can actually have a lot for you to scam because they can simply run away with the funds you send them and even ebay can't do nothing to this situation as you did  not prefer to use the payments from ebay. Also from my end, I think ebay might soon ban these kind of payments once they get to know about it because ebay is one of the trusted marketplace and they would never let this happen to their customers.
44  Other / Off-topic / Re: Post a Picture of what you think Satoshi the Creator of bitcoin looks like on: May 04, 2019, 06:19:02 PM
Guys, you need to think a little outside the box. Who says they were a guy?

[im g]https://i.imgur.com/uLqpGfX.jpg[/img]

One can dream, right?  Cheesy

I would send some bits to her genesis block.
None among us knows whether the one who developed bitcoins was a girl or a guy or maybe even a group of programmers consisting girls and boys constantly. The ones who have developed bitcoins have contributed something great in the financial field and mostly towards the young people as the young people have started having profits into the decentralized markets.

Here, we can't underestimate the power of a girl so thinking rationally, both girl and boy can be behind the development of bitcoins. Someday, the one who developed bitcoins should come in front of the peoples. It would really be a shocking day and most of the peoples would travel globally to meet that personality Grin.
45  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are IEO's bad? on: May 04, 2019, 01:18:23 PM
Am I the only one who thinks this is actually a bad thing and make people focus on the exchange hosting rather than the actual project and what the team is offering etc.?
if the project developers are smart enough im sure they will go to a exchange with credibility, if the intention of developers is to scam people they will go to exchange like yobit.
Not all of these IEO will still reach their target, investors are not looking at the project because its IEO, any shit exchange could come up with an IEO with dramatic whitepaper and register them for investors to buy, but most investors having gotten enough experience would rather participate in IEO from credible exchanges and not just any projects because it’s called IEO.

Reason above is why there are some IEO projects that are still not meeting up with their targets despite the fact they are on IEO platforms, but platforms of baseless exchanges. So great exchanges IEO can really have influence on the market as you expect.
46  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to keep your funds secured? on: May 04, 2019, 12:46:59 PM
It keeps repeating itself, most of those who store their coins inside exchange are hoping to easy up the process and avoiding transaction fees, not knowing that chances of being hacked is always there no matter how they trut the exchange, we should all practice to remove our funds after the exchange already executed to protect our investment.

Learning it from the hard way is more regretful than taking some delays and paying for some fees.
It is really ironic that the reason people keep their coins in exchanges is to save money on fees when the fees that you need to pay for a transaction are worth just a few cents but the losses that you can suffer are enormous in comparison, this is like all of those people that do not buy a hardware wallet and keep their cryptocurrency holdings in an infected computer only to lose it all.
The first thing is to look for a nice and secure exchange I will suggest you Binance and Coinbase. And not all the exchanges are so prone to hacking. Binance and Coinbase are way too shielded against the hacking. Making use of a hardware wallet is another good step towards making wallet protected. Two factor authentications add extra addition to the security.
47  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is the IEO cheating / Should I invest in IEO? on: May 04, 2019, 12:15:48 PM
Investors who says ieo is scam are those investors who did not professional in investing they dint know how to look a good projects and products of the projects so i refer to invest here https://exmarkets.com/launchpad that project provides a good product and no need to review because it is proven and tested.
Indeed the project was proven and tested and developers are not the problem now in IEO project because these TOP exchanges have done their due diligent in selecting a very good project, but reason why people still feel it is a scam is because of the complain of dumping too now showing up in IEO projects.

Investors too complaining needs to realize that they are also part of the scam if they dump their tokens on them after entering exchange’s, imagine after they have promised to stay with the project for long, the moment they enter exchanges, some investors are fund of dumping massive token they hold on the market, crashing their ICO price, so they have also scammed project developers too.
48  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ranking, News & Exchange for Real Estate Coins on: May 04, 2019, 11:45:25 AM
[img]https://assetum.io/static/logo.svg[img]

Assetum platform aim to provide a better clarity about the Real Estate Coins economy.
We reviewed, classified and ranked real estate blockchain projects for you.
The idea is to make a friendly environment where investors can overview and access a market dedicated to all real estate cryptocurrencies.
We created an Exchange for this specific category of coins, as well as a Ranking and a news area for centralizing information.

The Digital Real Estate market has a market cap rapidly growing and new start ups are joining the movment each month. So we decided to bring some structure into this emerging category of coins and tokens.

www.Assetum.io
I don't really know why, but a lot of persons are not really interested in real estate coins, I personally have invested in about  2 real estate coin and they all turned out not to be good investment because the investment turn out was very low, I don't really know what we could do in order to create awareness in the real estate world, but I have a feeling that the real estate world would be one of the part that could drive the price of bitcoin and crypto up.
49  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Don't let the holiday catch you - if you are a day trader. on: May 04, 2019, 10:32:29 AM
Why the cryptocurrency market always go down during the holidays? even the smaller ones like Easter?
I noticed many times in the past the crypto market normally goes down when people are on holidays from Christmas to Eid-mubarak.
Just noticed the market also relaxed during the smaller holidays like Easter, Diwali (a bit) and Maulud. but not on the valatine's day - lol!

Well, the market started recovering from the Easter holidays today and it appears the bitcoin is heading to another milestone, which is very nice.
What is your take on this matter? Feel free to share views with us here... thanks Smiley

[im g]https://i.imgur.com/GOFlyUC.png[/img]
Peoples might be selling their coins off during festivals or holidays Grin Grin But seriously talking, bitcoins are now heading towards huge step and we can soon expect better price for bitcoins. I think after the mid 2017 bitcoins are now showing some growth and we can expect bitcoins to cross the number reached even in the mid 2017.

And considering for day trading, holidays are actually great way to make profits as most of the peoples are busy doing nothing on holidays and it is the time when we need to pop-up and show some talent.
50  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Newbies that has interest in trading! on: May 04, 2019, 09:56:20 AM
Which exchange would you recommend to a newbie trader? I've found a couple of them like Binance, Kucoin, Mpcx (under constraction), Binance etc.

Hi, I'm also a newbie and I've chosen CoinDeal. It's quite new and to me - it has a really nice platform. CoinDeal supports a large number of cryptocurrencies along with fiat pairs and this number is still increasing. It is slowly becoming one of the largest cryptocurrency exchanges globally.
I started from Bitcoin and had some bad experience in the start but then things started getting better and better. I think that platform also matters and this is the reason I have been a user of Binance and Bittrex. They are good exchanges for trading and buying Bitcoin. If you want to have a good return in crypto trading, you need to be well versed with the great things in the market. Do not fear to learn about what you do not know.
51  Economy / Economics / Re: Crypto Scams are a global issue on: May 04, 2019, 08:45:01 AM
Indeed this is a huge problem, and a lot of scams, i think most of scammer come to scam on crypto because they are hard to track and to know where are the coins stealed, but i also think people who are in crypto should take more precaution measure and this will reduce scam attemps a lot.
Yes, cryptocurrencies makes it easier for such scammers to scam money and anonymously convert into white money. That might also be the reason behind why most of the illegal works are been supported by cryptocurrency payments. But the peoples in cryptocurrencies should also try to be much more aware about such scams and always take major precautions before getting into any scheme.

Peoples who are experienced rarely have any such issues but what I think is the peoples who newly start into cryptos are the victims of such scams. In the greed to have major profits, people invest into such ponzi schemes and lose their money.
52  Economy / Economics / Re: Russia to replace USD reserves with Bitcoin on: May 03, 2019, 12:25:16 PM
I think it's a fake news, Russia won't do that, they are not going to replace the USD with bitcoin in their reserve. What Putin said was that "they will have to find a way around the USD when doing business because of the US sanctions" this will even be limited to very few Russian sector and not even all sectors. They may agree with transact some business with a country like China without using the USD.
An economist I will know that it will be impossible, government cannot place the whole system of the country in a system that is still being developed, I don’t doubt the fact that they would have been smarter than other countries to quickly take advantage of bitcoin to make more money in preparation for the upcoming recession.

The step they can take since they believe in the system is to take part of the reserve to also invest in order to multiply it. If you look at the money stated by op, it is too small to be the whole reserve of Russia, if they even lose that money; it will not have that much impact on the economy.
53  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Has this year be favourable to you? on: May 03, 2019, 11:22:56 AM
Entering 5th month this year, sad to say I'm already in the negative and so I have to leave gambling for now as I have priorities this month and don't have that extra money to carry my gambling habits.

Plus bitcoin price is picking up lately, might be good to safe some right now specially when the price touch $6k-$6.5k in the next coming months. I'm not addicted, I can control my emotions and because I'm focus more on other things.
I am glad you have set your priorities right and it’s a good thing you that you did. Gambling is not a do or die affair, if it doesn’t favor you, you can try other things. Imagine been at negative at 5th month, who knows what would happen in other months if you had continued.

Like you have said and it makes so much sense, Bitcoin is gradually on the rise and its the best time to invest, so it won’t be a bad idea for you saving as much as you can. I haven’t gambled this year because I am still recovering from the loses of last year. Last year I had the worst gambling record ever; it was from one loss to another.
54  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why not just gamble with fiat? on: May 03, 2019, 10:44:36 AM
Crypto gambling became to me the way to introduce with crypto. I continued to gamble with crypto when I joined the forum and started to participate in different kinds of campaigns, as many of you may remember, like a year or two before payments were much higher. So in my mide it was easier to loose couple of mBTCs during the game than to transfer money from my salary the the site first and play with them. I believe there are many people like I am here.
The convenience that we get when you play gambling with cryptocurrency. and it is quite difficult to gamble with Fiat online, you have to transfer fiat from your bank to another bank which certainly requires code and administrative fees, its too complicated for me
You are not alone mate. I can’t remember the last time I gambled with fiat. That was like many years ago. Since the introduction of online gambling and now invention of crypto gambling, I have been gambling with crypto, LTC precisely and it’s been a sweet experience so far.

Crypto gambling is much easier, faster and more flexible for me. There are no instance of ID requirement unlike in Fiat, I just register, login play and have and awesome time playing. I doubt if there are still many users of fiat in gambling, if at all there is I am sure not on this forum.
Why would anyone still gamble with fiat when crypto has made gambling life so easy? There are some countries where gambling is declared illegal but with crypto gamblers from such regions can still gamble at the comfort of their homes because of the anonymity it gives to players.

I said anonymity because there are very high number of crypto casino sites that do not request for KYC, so players that choose the ones that do not have the requirement will enjoy the benefit. With crypto gambling, there is nothing like login in with Id, and transactions are faster. No delay. So its crypto gambling or no other kind of gambling for me.
55  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Would you bet on an insect fight? on: May 03, 2019, 10:03:08 AM
These insect and animal fights become popular in some provinces because there are no means for these people to play gambling and they want to explore something new, so they create spider fighting, insect fighting and so many other forms of gambling that involves animals and insects.
I think most of the countries that do insect and other types of animal fighting are countries where gambling mostly originated from. Those days, they liked to have fun and gamble and using this insect and other types of animals was really fun since they had a lot of spectators.

This gambling has become a tradition in some countries and I believe even with the invention of new and better gambling, they still value his gambling type.  In china for example, they have been practicing insect fighting as spectators and this is the same with Vietnam and Thailand. Japanese for example are known for bug’s fights. They are all weird kind of gambling anyway.
This still happens in many countries. I was watching a documentary about dog fight and to be honest, in countries where dog fight is banned; there had been great number of spectators gathered for the show. So yes these things still happen. People bet on the animal with huge potential to win.

Often the strongest one. I have not heard about incest fight anywhere in my country. People are moving away from these traditions into online gambling.
56  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: HTC Exodus - The first major blockchain smartphone on: May 03, 2019, 08:30:46 AM
HTC Exodus is available, in Early Access, purchasable only in Bitcoin and Ethereum.

The price: 0.15 BTC or 4.78 ETH.
Some main specs:
Snapdragon 845
6 GB RAM
128GB Internal Memory
QHD+ display
16+12 Megapixel cameras (Will probably be one of the bests in the market, as HTC U12+ ranks 3rd on DxOmark)

Its clear to see, that his is a high-end phone, only purchasable with cryptocurrencies. But what makes it special, is the fact that it is the first ever phone dedicated to cryptocurrencies and blockchain technology.
It will include a "secure enclave" that is separate from the Android operating system, where cryptocurrency, and private keys can be securely stored. Also, the phone will support dApps.

But lets not forget: HTC is close to an all-time low, and is the worst in 15  years (by stock prices).
I'm curious to see how will it turn out.

Anyone who wish to know more about it: https://www.htcexodus.com/
So my question is what exactly makes this phone so special, because based on what I have seen there isn't anything so special about it, unless maybe it contains more security features than other phones in terms of storing your bitcoin and other crypto assets.

But, I don't have interest in it, I already have a hardware wallet that I'm making use of and I also have a very good phone, so all these things doesn't really matter to me. And another thing I don't like is that the phone is costly, but whatever…
57  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Welcome to the future on: May 03, 2019, 07:45:23 AM
In the near future people won't have choice but to embrace cryptocurrency and blockchain technology, whether you are in support or not ,whether you hate it or not ,you will be the one to stand up and embrace crypto yourselves without anyone forcing you to ,adoption is simply adoption ,love it or hate it

Soon or later, blockchain technology and cryptocurrency needed. Most people already connected with internet and i think people will need faster payment and faster way to transaction. With cryptocurrency, people will transaction more easier and cheaper and i am believe crypto will growing bigger than now
Of course that is going to happen. It is not something that could be avoided. The world is progressing at a high speed and in days to come, the latest technology will outperform the existing systems which are too inefficient as compared to the blockchain. People actually have started building businesses around the technology which is helping expand the circle more and more. The future is great.

59  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Scammers running free on: May 03, 2019, 06:23:36 AM
That is why many thinks centralization and regulation will bring much sanity into the system. Many people have lost thousands to millions of dollars for good with their bad deed been investing in a project or ICO.

And what about the investment market of securities is not who has not lost money. And investment in real estate. And other areas of investment. Yes, any business built on credit is an investment. So now this difficult dangerous game is complaining.
I think there are scammers all around and this thing could not be eliminated in the presence of internet. Scammers are actually the guys with lots of expertise so they can easily deceive a man having no knowledge about something he wants to invest in.

This is what happened with so many ICOs in which people put in their money due to the hype these scammers would create on internet and hence lost their money.

60  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: No best year in crypto currency on: May 03, 2019, 05:43:01 AM
We should agree many people are talking about that because crypto are very high risk to enter in it market rather than stock market and because of that people are judge seeing crypto market by it low price. So when market price are low that was the right time to enter market and just beng invest in a long time period not just short time
It is generally volatile and the value goes up and down every hour and this is the pure reason why people think it is risky to get involved in crypto business.

In addition, they might fear the duration of bear market which I think is chaotic for regular investors as well but the question is how come people make money them? It brings us to the conclusion that crypto market is like any other market and there are ups and downs, normally good Decembers.
