61  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have you been able to resist? on: May 02, 2019, 01:08:29 PM
Have you been able to resist the addiction and not let gambling consume you?

Have you been able to control the urge to place that bet, spin that wheel or roll
that dice? For you to be able to go a length of time away from the adrenaline.

Would be interested to hear how people can control this.

Yes. Its so exciting and fun to see rolling the dice and hoping for the luck. When I play gambling I set my money to spend so I will not exceed to it. Playing in gambling is so much fun to do but do not make it a hobbit because eventhough you set your limit but you played everyday its a non sense. Its depends on people how they see gambling to fun or do it as a business.
Principles matters a lot. If you are a man of words,, you would not exceed the money you put aside for gambling. If you loss the money you go home, if you win, you enjoy. That’s it. In addition, you find the gambling more fun and enjoy it. However if there is deviation from what you have planned, things can go wrong and you could loose more value if you gamble to win what you have lost in the previous game.
62  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What causes a person to become intensely addicted to gambling? on: May 02, 2019, 12:31:46 PM
Like the others, they are addicted to gambling because they want to get a lot of money quickly. And usually those gambling addicts have felt victory at the beginning of their gambling, and that made them forget themselves and addicted to continuing to gamble.

Not all people treating gambling for money make some of them they play for just fun not to make money, but yes  many people goes into addiction in gambling because of the obsession to make huge money.

The reason behind addiction is the frequency of use. If you gamble a lot, day and night, you could become an addict or you are already an addict and you do not know it and by the time you come to know about it, it’s very late. There should be equilibrium in the activities one do. Excess gambling for the sake of making money is the main reason why people get addicted.
63  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Price of alts when BTC pumps on: May 02, 2019, 11:32:18 AM
at the moment I see that the decline in bitcoin prices will be directly proportional to the decline in altcoin prices, so if bitcoin goes down it is certain that the altcoin will also fall.
That is what I have been seeing for long. There is no exact correlation between both but I think that the factors responsible for the reduction in the values of Bitcoin also affect Altcoin in an adverse way. But speaking about the current scenario, speculating in Altcoin could be great because Bitcoin is in the bullish mood and the prices of altcoin could also move up.
64  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Invest now? or wait for down turn? on: May 02, 2019, 11:00:17 AM
There is still a possibility that bitcoin will go down below $5000 and there are already speculation that it may happen soon. As of this time, bitcoin is still on bullish path and might break another resistance if this trend continues. It is risky to invest in bitcoin right because there is no assurance that the uptrend will continue unless a bullrun is certain. Still the best time to invest is when the bitcoin is still on its $3000 price level and that was last year.
if you believe the bitcoin is still in the bullish path, of course the down price won't happen too often, which means the price won't drop below $5000, speculation is only used to make someone panic, so don't be too afraid of that speculation. prices will bounce soon, so you have to buy by now
Well I believe that you can buy Bitcoin anytime if you are a long term holder. In this case, you can make money by following the HODL strategy and if you hodl for long enough, you can get the value added in the worth of your coins as profit. On the other hand, people looking for quick and seasonal profits should speculate in the down priced market which makes enough room for the value addition.
65  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Newbies that has interest in trading! on: May 02, 2019, 10:29:27 AM
Since we are all here to learn things about cryptocurrencies and to share ideas with each other on a way to increase our knowledge and revenues on how cryptocurrencies market work and how to make money from it, I think it is very important we understand some basic things about how the cryptocurrencies market works and where and how to rendering services for money,  selling products and trading coins in an exchange platforms as a newbies in this forum.
Of a truth I am among those that becomes rich through investing in cryptocurrencies in 2017 and I keep appreciate the ideas behind the whole things.  Having been trading forex,  commodities and stocks it was easy for me to diversified into cryptocurrencies trading and that is because I know how to interpret candlesticks formation and chart pattern and I learned all this without paying a dime from the followingsites : https://www.forexpeacearmy.com, https://forums.babypips.com, http://pumperspicks.com/ultimate-altcoin-buying-strategy/
The only way to make money from internet and cryptocurrency in particular is to become skillfull in an area and if you want to be skillful in trading I will advices you to visit all this sites to learn the secret on how trading work as a newbies and form your own strategies.  Remember to demo trade first before putting really money.  I wish you join us at the top!
I don’t know why some people here are fond of making it seems like newbies will have to study for like days or months before they will get to know what bitcoin, lol. Within one hour you can grab everything you need to learn about crypto. What is there to learn about Cryptocurrency itself? I don’t see anything and you get everything you want to know on Coindesk and then move on to learn trading which wouldn’t take you much if that’s what you want to be part of.
66  Economy / Speculation / Re: Reversal of Bear Market? on: May 02, 2019, 09:58:20 AM

it’s like that, but I think it’s too early to talk about a full reversal, if there are free funds, it's time to invest, if not - just look)

Look and enjoy it, like me I don't have free funds right now but I'm just cheering for the traders to push the price higher so time will come I can sell my altcoins that I have held for a very long time already.
This is good strategy to hold your coin for long term, with the passage of time price chart is increasing in price so we can see positive change in price, it is not worth selling time, if you kept holding so I am sure if you will show little more patience so price will rise higher and it will give you power and strength for upcoming investments.

It's proven that holding your coins could give profit, maybe we are not in the early stage of crypto but some coins that are start up has great potential to rise. The history will repeat itself and I believe on that, what we witness before about altcoins pump, it could happen anytime as the bull market progresses.

Going on to hold the cryptocurrencies now is the best strategy, especially for those ones, who do not know a lot about trading and want to learn how to do it. Bulls will certainly come.

The best time to invest in crypto is the bear market due to the fact that the market prices stay down. All those who speculate in the bear market take risk no doubt but they end up making some good money as well. In addition, if you do the technical analysis, you would come to know that we are good to go as much up as $7000 in the nest month or may be more.
67  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Shared computing that never goes down. on: May 02, 2019, 08:22:23 AM
http://alita.global/?lang=en

Alita's big data computing service is a general-purpose computing engine, which does not limit to a single project like SETIOHomeFolding@Home. Therefore,it is impossible to determine whether miners are honest in providing computing resources by simply verifying the results. Because any user's bug, syntax, upstream data changes, and version will cause changes in the results, and many computing tasks are not idempotent due to data changes. So,Alita does not confirm the work certificate through the result verification but provide PoTA (Proof of Task Accomplishment),which uses the occupied time of memory CPU,storage and bandwidth (VCU),and task code and input data to issue work certificate. Alta's basic storage pS utilizes IPFS which is a protocol, not a complete file system. Using this protocol and networking,we have completed the storage cluster composed of storage copy, fragmentation, addressing, and security, which is more suitable for reading distributed computing tasks. The big data computing is quite special, and you can't use results to measure the authenticity of resource consumption. Any user's bug, syntax, package dependency, and version will cause the results to be inconsistent with expectations, and many computing tasks are not idempotent due to data changes. Therefore,Aita doesn't confirm the work certificate through the result verification, but provide PoTA certificate, and issue the work certificate according to the occupied time of memory CPU and storage (VCU),and task code and input data.

It would be cool if you can explain better about what you are talking about because I have read your post a couple of time and I am not yet to understand what you are trying to say, are you saying that our current method of POW algorithm in mining is not cool and you have created a system that is better or are you saying you created a centralized shared computing system, I am very much interested in what you are talking about because I think it would be a good project, but I am still yet to understand what you are talking about.
68  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which is the best and safe wallet for my LTC? on: May 02, 2019, 07:48:12 AM
I have used https://edge.app/ app on my phone before. And the strange think was the had my private keep and I just had the mnemonic seed.
Currently, I am holding my LTC in my exchange account. But, even in case of exchanges, private key is not with me.

Which is the best wallet to hold LTC for long time? Is it safe storing in an exchange?

I am a holder not a trader so, I rarely monitor or transfer funds. Thus, was looking for a wallet where I can store my funds and sit back with trust that my funds are safe.

Thanks in advance.
There are so many good wallet that enables you to store your coin safely without having fears of hackers coming in to steal your coin, one of the wallet I like so much and I make use of to keep virtually all the coin I own is coinomi, coinomi is a mobile wallet that has over 120 coin wallet for you to store your coin in them without fear of being hacked, but if you are holding the coin for a long time, then I would advise you make use of hardware wallet.
69  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is RarityTrade exchange legit ??? on: May 02, 2019, 07:18:08 AM
Greetings, I just want to ask if this exchange is legit since someone on telegram asked me a favor that I should create an account to this website https://raritytrade.com/ https://raritytrade.com

I have made an account but the password I used is too far from the passwords I used to register from the legit exchanges and the email I used is a dummy email since it was really suspicious to me.

Well I can't make a choice for you on what project to invest and not to invest, all you need to do is to be very careful about new projects rising this days especially exchanges because most exchanges that would be launched in this time are just doing it for the advantage of being able to conduct IEO and might make away with your money once you invest with them, so let us be very careful and make our research well before investing.
70  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Making coin using Pivx Codebase? on: May 02, 2019, 06:47:41 AM
Hello guys, can someone help or give me a link for how to create my own coins using pivx codebase...I can create my own coins using litecoin source..but pivx is different and kinda confusing (maybe because have masternode, zerocoin and etc function) ..i hope somebody can help hehe ..p.s im doing for fun
Why do you really want to create a coin, if you don't know how to do it, the best thing to do is to pay an expert to teach you how to create coin fork in general and not just looking for half baked information because I am sure no developer is going to teach you how to fully fork the pivx blockchain without encountering any issue now or in the future, so try looking for someone who is already knowledgeable about coin fork and ask the person to teach you, make sure he doesn't teach you for free even if he/she wants too.
71  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Limit your participation in IEO on exchanges that you trust on: April 30, 2019, 09:24:27 PM
Now the era of IEO where many exchange have support for starting sell of coin in their exchange, I don't will be the end of ICO time and we have join of IEO with less chance because always sold out by short time.
We need more reputable exchanges to also open up their platforms for IEO project, once we have more exchange’s that are involved in IEP projects, the rush for these projects will reduce a bit and so many investors will always get the chance to participate any day and anytime.

I don’t really know why we are not getting much IEO projects which I believe that Binance will still be able to handle over hundreds at a time, but I have only been seeing them announce few, could it be that most projects we have are not qualified to win investors trust? Although I have heard one or two complains of the cost attached to registering for IEO as being too expensive to afford.
72  Economy / Marketplace / Re: List of stuff you can use bitcoin for. on: April 30, 2019, 08:50:26 PM
However, I don’t think so that using your bitcoins at this point is a very good idea and that you must wait for little longer so that bitcoin can have some good market value and then the usability of the bitcoin will also be increase.

I understand the point you have made , meaning that it should be kept for when it value increase but I tell you the value keep increasing and decreasing depending on the value you bought. And you can't have something to sell and shelter yourself and family, feed and clothes while you neglect to sell.

Except you have money to help your living, then you can hold very longer even when you have made additional profit.
He have a point, but there wouldnt be crypto economy if everyone just hold and save, some people needs to use it. Who use it? Not investor like you, someone who have a source of income in bitcoins, spending some will not hurt him. I bought many things using bitcoins, I had bitcoins and that was the easy way for me to buy something.
I remember the similar lists from years ago, this one is just longer, and believe it will get even longer in year to come.
You’re right man it is not everyone that is an investor or a trader. There are also people who just wants to work and get paid and there are lots of freelancers in this forum that offer services like writing and get paid for it. Some of them do need places where they can buy stuffs they need by making use of crypto currency they have earned . I also work and receive my payment online with bitcoin, but I don’t really look for such things .I just sell my bitcoins to local exchanges in my country and convert it to fiat which they send to my bank account .
73  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Buying goods or services using crypto on: April 30, 2019, 08:35:06 PM
This is a good thing to happen. Being able to buy goods and services using our own crypto currencies helps us to make some of our works easier most especially in terms of financial transactions and processes.
Yep it makes things easier for us all and there are lots of things that you can buy these days by making use of Bitcoin. Even things that used to seem impossible before, people had been coming up with ways of making them easy to access by using bitcoin. Just like Amazon, with the help of purse.io you can get whatever you need from Amazon and pay with Bitcoin. There are also lots of stores that are accepting Bitcoin these days too. There are also sites that sells luxury goods for Bitcoin just like the white company.

There are lots of thing you can buy with Bitcoin these days and that starts with making a purchase from Xbox; you can make use of Bitcoin to buy games and movies and even apps from the Xbox stores. So you should check that out, or you can even use it for a donation, there are lots of places that you can do a donation to. You can also make use of Bitcoin to buy gift cards that you can spend in stores and platforms where you can get these gift cards with Bitcoin are eGifter and Bitpay.
74  Economy / Marketplace / Re: can bitcoin in the future surpass gold? on: April 30, 2019, 08:02:30 PM
I wonder what predictions you base your conclusions on. I got hooked on market reviews on the site and I can say for sure that everything is not so simple. I think now is the time to invest in Bitcoin, because soon we will be able to reap good rewards
where d u usually check?
If you ask me I will say that Bitcoin is not replacing anything, not even gold like some people do say. Bitcoin is good, but it will be a thing on its own and not serving as a replacement. There will still be gold, gold cannot be replaced, everything has what's makes it very important and by the way, gold is one of the most valued stocks in the world. I don't see why anyone would reject it.

Cryptocurrency is something different and interest varies, everyone has what they like best. That you like cryptocurrency the most doesn't mean that other people are going to like cryptocurrency too, they might decide to go for something else they believe is going to benefit them.
75  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Binance is Becoming a Crypto Monopoly on: April 30, 2019, 07:38:46 PM
There are tons of exchanges to choose from and there are upcoming new ones being developed. I really dont think that Binance would be still a power-house in the coming years. Times are changing fast in crypto and i really do think there are exchanges that want to rival Binance.

Also there are other tokens/coins not listed in Binance but its already being traded in other big exchanges.
The question is, what does those upcoming exchanges have to offer, you need to look back and see where Binance has been coming from, Binance was barely launched like 2 years agar and it has achieved this far with few of their ideas that they have executed, remember that they met so many great exchanges on ground before they acne to top them all.

If they continue to come up with the strategies they have been coming up with, which I believe that the teams are too hard working to run or of idea, they will continue to be top of them all, How many exchange have come out after Binance and yet they have not gotten any volume?
76  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: New Startups companies on: April 30, 2019, 06:09:45 PM
Not all startups are good, however it's interesting to check closely what they offer and what is their concept, because it can be a chance we don't see frequently to make profit. It's also good to give it a try, because new startups can bring interesting and innovative ideas to help us daily.
Others can upgrade a concept that already exists and become the next main one, so everyone around it will be benefited. A new exchange can overcome a traditional one, and it's better if you are user of both services.
When talking about startup companies, it should not be in the likes of exchanges, because I do not see any feature that a new exchange wants to offer that is not already being handled by the existing ones, especially the quality top exchanges, when a company is starting up as new in form of an exchange, I just see it as a waste of time.

The problem solution they are proposing has already been solved by the existing ones and we need new concept and products to run on a blockchain technology, if they keep running to en exchange line, then what product would they be exchanging? So new startup companies should now focus on solving more problems we have out there using the blockchain tech and not repeating already existing ones.
77  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling is an entertainment? on: April 30, 2019, 01:26:05 PM
Gambling is entertaining for everyone if they play just for fun. But moment you only play for money then it is not worthy because just for money you can lose a lot money and then it would be late by then when you realize it . So be cautious.
I think you are not been realistic, a part of you should know that it is hard to play gambling just for fun. The game can be interesting actually, but that is not to say that we do not expect to winning and winning is the profit made from playing. If fun is just the reason why you gamble, then you should erase the expectation of winning completely out of your mind. It is even more worthy to play for money, because while doing that, you would be very careful in playing so as not to make loses.
78  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Promoting Gambling on: April 30, 2019, 12:50:59 PM
Gambling is for fun but it does not help us forget our problems. I had a similar experience years back, I always had fun in gambling and that year my girl broke up with me, the only thing I could think of that time to quickly ease me of the pain was to gamble which I recorded the greatest loss that day since the history of my gambling.

I think, we make more loses when we go into gambling with the mindset of relieving ourselves of stress, because we are not always in the right state of mind to play and then we end up making so much loses. Gambling does not help relieve stress, it only distracts us a little bit, but once the game ends, we are back to the same pains.
Thanks for sharing your story and sorry about the heartbreak from your EX, I believe you must   have gotten over it by now. I always tell my fellow gamblers never gamble with the intention of relieving stress ,or gambling to forget some hurtful events, it will always make a gamer loose awfully. There are other games or places to visit to quickly recover from hurt or any form of heartbreak and gambling should not be an option for this. The best time to gamble is when one is in a good mood, that is when the fun is attained at peak and loses minimized.
79  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling with your Parents on: April 29, 2019, 06:28:35 PM

it doesn't matter even though gambling has become more sophisticated with the development of technology, the essence of gambling has not changed, gambling is indeed always to have fun and gamble with partners or your family will be the most fun thing, whatever the game is.

I would prefer to gamble with my parents or some friends so you can look at each other.
The problem with some gamblers is when they loss control and they do it alone, they will loss more and no one can stop them.
With your parents, you will get some advise because they are more matured than you.
Gambling with friends and parents is not an experience you might like to have. I tried it and I bet you it wasn’t fun at all. In my place we honor our parents so dearly that even when they are wrong we can’t tell, so even when they cheat in the game you can’t talk about it.

You don’t need your friends and family to help you control yourself in playing games, you need to work on yourself and have discipline. So, what happens when friends and family are not available/ does it mean you will not gamble? I have tried gambling with both friends, family and total strangers and the best of them all is playing with unknown faces.
80  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Would you bet on an insect fight? on: April 29, 2019, 05:28:36 PM
I am really surprised how a country can take this kind of gambling as a tradition; well I am glad I come from a country that knows nothing about this type of gambling. It is not as if you are now too old for the game, it is just the invention of new and better games that probably made that one outdated to you.

For me, I will rather stay and not play any games than to play such a despicable game, that’s if we had it in my country at all. Gambling with every other thing is fun, but to gamble with an insect is evil and very irritating, it really doesn’t make any sense to me at all.
You have no understanding of the game and truth be told, its actually a noble game and has been since old. This is a game so many of my friends enjoyed as kids, although technology has brought about the invention of more sophisticated games which isn’t a bad idea.

I advise you learn to respect other peoples tradition and never ill things about what gives pleasure. I’ve never gambled with insects, even though I was surrounded with people who liked it, but that doesn’t make me better than those who did. Its just different people with their preferences.
