201  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Discussion: Altcoin (own their blockchain) vs Alt-token (relie on other B-chain) on: March 30, 2019, 04:23:17 PM
Well, in term of stability and scalability of the platform, the one that have their own blockchain system is more preferable, but I don't think it is a big deal compared to other factor, like the product adoption, and does the project actually solve real problem. It does not matter for me whether the project have their own project or not as long as they have a good team behind them, and decent whitepaper and vision.
If owning their own blockchain will really bring stability to the market with a good and reliable project, I would rather go with it then because this is what blockchain technology needs now to really be able to function fully and for the world to really see its usefulness, aside using it as means of making income through investment or trading, many people needs to know the main reason why blockchain technology was created and never forget it, we need a stable market now that can really proof to the government that it is worthy of being used and accepted as digital asset for store of value.
202  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to distinguish between good and bad projects on: March 30, 2019, 03:16:39 PM
There are some reliable projects that worth to invest in but this is not the main concern of big investors. Bad projects can't collect so much money in ICOs and they usually fail in a year.
Of course they do, prior to now that many ICO find it difficult to reach their softcap because of these issue of scam and bad project scaring investors, most projects that has failed succeeded in actually reaching their hardcap which we are not talking about chicken change here, their hardcap runs to millions of dollars.

Some of them don’t envisage failure too, just that they probably met some challenges along the way that was way beyond their control and not every failed project lasted a year, some lasted far more than a year, and they usually get stock in a value before finally collapsing.
203  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have you ever managed to recover your losses? on: March 28, 2019, 09:31:34 PM
Sadly no, everytime i want to recover my losses, deposit again and bet again, but lose again. Always like that.

When the lose come, it's better to take a break for a second, just don't continue gambling directly because your head is not in a good situation and you will rage bet.
Once you put something in gambling, better it is to forget it for lifetime. This is supposed to be a hell that if something just put it in it once, it will burn out. And there are hundreds of experiences with us, of our own fellows who shared their stories here. But still, we become illiterate and don’t follow up them. Anyone who tries to get back the loss gets more loss. So better is to move around and turn your way.

Recovering losses from gambling must be reason for many gamblers why they are still sticking with gambling even after 100s of failures. I also have tried to recover but never found myself successful. Losses are just the fee for gambling houses hence we should never try for recovering them.
204  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Chat in gambling on: March 28, 2019, 09:03:05 PM
snip

I think if you embed things, whatever the function, chat or trollbox or even support ticket, it is the easiest option but somehow for me it always slows down the site, unless you route all the traffic through your own server. Especially for people like me,,, sometimes we are forced to use VPN or other means of access, because our ISP blocks traffic,,, when the internet connections is on 3 or 4 different servers because of the additional embeds, makes things very difficult for us to connect to the entire service.

Oh didn't know that can be an issue. Never had to use a VPN and so far my ISP don't block sites. This might be something that have to be considered since it'll definitely affect customer experience.
Good to see a business minded man here who is thinking of not to make in crypto but to build business around a concept that will help companies entertain people interested in gambling even using crypto. I think that you should really think about the market if there is and if companies will use your service.

You could make it a per subscription user thing and charge may be $10 dollar initially a month and later on giving packages but also rising the price. Functionalities like personal chat, personal chat recovery, group chats and famous trending chats could be incorporated.
205  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling destitute on: March 28, 2019, 08:34:05 PM
Yes, gambling can make man destitute at any time.

I have to research for the term, but glad google help me, destitute defines as poor in simple terms.  Grin
Yes that sounds right. Destitute means extremely poor and destitute in gambling is a shame.

Gambling is not a drink for everyone. Only those who believe they have the abilities to be successful in gambling and have previous experience can get into gambling without having to get the title destitute. For those who know nothing about gambling and still want to make money in gambling end up earning the title. Cheesy.
206  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you think a "winning mindset" can get you what you want while gambling? on: March 28, 2019, 07:37:27 PM
No, what's a winning mindset of yours if the luck is not with you? What if the odds are not with you? Where's your winning mindset now? It will go away unfortunately because of the fate you're having.
Yes, it is funny or maybe you are an exception lol. In my opinion, if you are determined about doing something, you will end up doing it. Winning mindset will be a act like a positive energy but gambling has nothing to do against it. In other words, gambling results will not get affected by our mindset but only the number of attempts will increase if we have continuously positive mindset.

In normal situation, we all are not so much worried about win or loss in gambling but when you are serious about doing something and pay sheer attention towards doing that, you would maximize possibilities to do it. Same is the case with a positive mind approach.
207  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Buying goods or services using crypto on: March 28, 2019, 05:39:50 PM
Presently crypto market is not that doing too bad. In Australia binance has launched an outlet where crypto enthusiast can buy stuffs using bitcoin i guess that will help
Oh, that's really cool, but I can remember that the last time I made use of Bitcoin to pay for goods I got scammed for it. So, all this while I have stopped making use of Bitcoin for such. This time around i only use Bitcoin to send and receive money from friends and not for buying. And I either invest or just withdraw the money and I no longer use it for buying our daily needs. It mat take some more time before we will be seeing cryptos to be used for daily life in my country.

I guess due to heavy volatility, no big merchants are preferring accepting payments in crypto. At the same time, I am not seeing any possibilities for crytos to be stable in near future. It means we may take more time than we could imagine to buy goods for cryptos.
208  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to check if ICO is scam or not? on: March 28, 2019, 03:16:20 PM
Identifying whether an ICO is legit or scam is getting more complicated everyday. Yet, if we are investing our money in something, we should be well aware of where is it going.
The best way to know whether an ICO is scam or not is to identify the person behind it, know their personal experience, their economic and social background and whether they are really an specialist about the project are just pretending to be.
Yes. A lot of them are getting better in what they do lol. Identifying real and fake ICO is now a heavy task for anyone to do these days. I think the number one thing that matters most when trying to know if any ICO is legit or scam is the team. Yep the team behind it tells a lot of about it. So let's assume that an ICO has a Vitalik Butterin as one of the team members, you don't really need to think twice about it right?? But it doesn't just end there cause scammers now invent fake founders and biographies for their project. So, you really need to dig deeper in this to know if they are really what and who they claim to be. Their social media has to prove it.

I've been reading about a lot of scammy ICOs that take people's money and run away. I'm looking to invest in a couple of ICOs but have no way of knowing if they are good or not. Can anyone tell me how I can go about doing this without losing any money?
There are lot of things you've got to check in an ICO, and I also like to say that scammers are now pretty good at what they do. Most of them now knows how to cover up pretty good so they won't be noticed. So you gotta be very careful cause I have read a lot of stories about them. Take your time to check everything that you're meant to check and also try to ask questions about the ICO.
209  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: new coins are worthless! on: March 28, 2019, 02:22:11 PM
no matter how good the coin is if the project product is not good the price of the coin will not be valuable. all depends on the coin product itself.
I see most of these altcoins being full of greed and killing themselves with unnecessary competitions, I don’t know why they all have to create coins that they know will not be useful instead of building on already existing coins.

Right now, we still don’t have much new investors injected into the cryptocurrency industry, so majority of them has just been sharing the same current users/investors and many of these people are only seeing Bitcoin as the proper investment for a long time and seeing their own coin as something they can quickly invest in shortly and dump it immediately the price becomes high for profit, even if the product s good, is the product high in demand for them to make use of the coin?
210  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][AIRDROP]POW/POS/MN Gifcoin |💰 THE COIN FOR THE PEOPLE! on: March 28, 2019, 12:16:40 PM
Why do people always make the mistake of posting a ANN thread in this part of the forum, when it is boldly stated that this part of the forum is not for ANN thread but for altcoin discussions.

For example, if you want us to discuss about your altcoin base on price prediction or the future of the project, then I think this is the best place for that, but if you want to start up a project and create an ANN thread, the best place for you to do this is to move this topic to the altcoin announcement board of this forum.
211  Economy / Speculation / Re: which way bitcoin price going? on: March 28, 2019, 11:41:02 AM
The current preev rate is hovering around the $3900 level for a week. From my point of view, it will try to make fake breakouts next to the $4500 level. If bull can hold the $4500 level then talking about higher levels will be next target in Bitcoin analyzing.
I'm grateful to see the price of bitcoin return to the price of $ 4k today. although it cannot be considered stable, this seems to be quite good in the development of bitcoin prices. I think bitcoin will lead to better development.
If Bitcoin price continues to operate the way it is now and maintain its stability for a while, this might start making it more reliable for users wishing to store up their fund in bitcoin.

I think what we honestly need is a stable coin that people can trust to have as future asset they can rely on at any point in time, just like people easily invest in gold and leave it for a very long time without even any form of security that makes Bitcoin more outstanding.

If we can get lots of adopters of bitcoin when it becomes stables, it will surely make the price of Bitcoin shoot up and may not be forced into bear market again irrespective of the dumping that may occur then, because the number of users for asset purpose will surely be more than the number of users for investment/trading.
212  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is there a future for BTC anymore? on: March 28, 2019, 08:26:43 AM
The only thing that would increase the price is the demand, the supply will never be change, it's still limited and will not grow.
Only the demand will grow and some coins might be lost in the circulation over time as some people might forget their wallet passwords or like in the case of death and no other person know aside from the owner.
For death, I don’t wish death for my fellow brother except they are old enough for death but for missing wallet password, I really wish this can happen to most of the account that are making the life of cryptocurrency miserable with their dumping acts, or those that has scammed people and dumping the coin on us virtually on daily basis,  at least if we can have a major whale that will forget his wallet password with huge amount of bitcoins in it, it will make Bitcoin to stabilize in order to gain more momentum for the bull run.

We really need more demands, we need more users and we need more long term investors and more crypto asset holdlers to experience a fast upward price trend.
213  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling.. way to loss on: March 27, 2019, 08:53:57 PM
In Crypto World, Gambling is fastest way to double crypto. You can doubling your tokens to 2x,3x,5x and more than 10x.
But to play Gambling is difficult if you play without knowledge.

Why i say Gambling is way to loss ?

In Gambling website, you can see review of users how much tokens they won in gambling. But, you don't know how much they deposit to play gambling.

Most of Gambling users history

TOTAL BET > TOTAL WIN

If my post have any incorrect, please reply
The overall summary to this post is if you want to lose all your hard earned money in one second, then try to gamble and if you are a risk taker that wants to risk your money to make more money, you can also try it on gambling but there is no guarantee of having it back.

Gambling is not a good way to multiply money, when a gamer is on the losing streak, they always loose more than what they ever won from the game although there are tames they win big. But, I don’t see any sense in winning $10,000 after one has lost over that same amount during the course of playing the game.
214  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Advantages and disadvantages of IEOs on: March 27, 2019, 07:10:55 PM
Of course it is very good that IEO excludes scammers and lists tokens after the sale. that's all. I don't see any more pluses at this subject. ICO is more useful for scripts in General.
There is no IOTA of doubt about that, ICO is far more useful and more beneficiary to the society than IEO but the main factor that might make ICO very irrelevant is the issue of scam that you mentioned.

This scam issue has really put a lot of stress on the current market by not encouraging investors to participate that much in ICO and skeptical in investing on the existing ones too but as IEO has been able to build their confidence back, that is all that matter and reasons why IEO will gain more popularity, the only thing that is still keeping ICO in the system is because of the regulation and cost of IEO.
215  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: DO WE REALLY NEED MORE STABLE COINS? on: March 27, 2019, 06:38:25 PM
Some friends of mine always lament  that 'we  need more stable coins in the cryptosphere' and I think that is highly achievable looking at the promising prospects that has been achieved by tether. It seems some upcoming projects are also promising to introduce stable coins. Is it possible to have more stable coins on the crypto market? What would really happen if we get more stable coins on the crypto market, would the volatility reduce?
He is much right, we need much stable coins, especially on the existing ones, what we don’t need is more new coins, we need more stable coins that will allow the major function of cryptocurrency to be realistic, the volatility of the market is really making it difficult for so many adopters using the system other than investment but for other purposes.

Imagine now that I introduce my staff to cryptocurrency and chose to be paying their salaries with it, if the coin I am using is not a stable one, then there is tendency of everyone pulling out their funds immediately without thinking of Holding or saving it because of its volatility. So, more stable coins will bring about less volatile market.
216  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best Hardware Wallet Battle on: March 27, 2019, 06:10:45 PM
Trezor and Ledger are the best crypto wallets of recent times. The highest level of safety. But more new hardware wallets have been created and they have more functions.
What do you think about keepkey hardware wallet because it seems very reliable to me and that is what I have been using for a very long time, although that was the first hardware wallet I got exposed to, even up to now.

I hardly make more research on new wallets because I don’t see any use for it since the one I am using has not failed me, unfortunately, I don’t even know about trezor and ledger until now that it is being mentioned in this forum, so I might as well also check them out and probably split my saving even if I am fully aware that any genuine hardware wallet is safer to use.
217  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Nasty Sell Walls are killing the free cryptomarket on: March 27, 2019, 05:26:59 PM
Price manipulation isn't an entirely new thing and since cryptocurrency is still largely unregulated its running rampant across the entire market so unless you're equipped with your own professional tool set for day trading and ample capital you're basically unable to compete, but that doesn't mean there's a lack of opportunities if your patient in accumulating early enough and then taking profits once an asset becomes sufficiently over bought because you'll likely come off winning
You are right, with these high manipulation in price, one need to be well equipped with some trading tools provided we are trading, otherwise, best is to be an HOLDELER of the coin till any form of price manipulation becomes impossible again.

Because, I still believe there will be a time in the future that all these whales activities will become less when a particular coin become far higher in price and has already become stable and less volatile, then we can think of conveniently selling our coin off them without it having any major effect negatively on the market,  because the market volatility is what the whales are taking advantage of now.
218  Economy / Economics / Re: DYOR before joining!!!!!!!!!!!!!! on: March 27, 2019, 04:10:31 PM
after all, if we analyze the journey of increasing the price of bitcoin when it reaches a peak in 2017 and then falls in 2018, there is actually a very far gap from the presentation. namely the increase in bitcoin which reached 1000% and fell 600%. it's clear that the increase is greater than the decrease. therefore do not worry that the bull run will not run again, they are just taking a break for a short drink. so prepare you, want to be rich or stay like this.
It’s easy for you to understand this analysis because you have been in the cryptocurrency system. Most of the new investor’s didn’t even experience the bull run, they bought at that period and immediately the market started falling.

I think this is the reason it is difficult to convince some of them to be patient for the next bull run. like you have rightly said, Bitcoin is only taking a break for a short drink and ill add that its only having a healing process, seems so many things went wrong during the last bull run. It will surely bounce back better.
219  Economy / Economics / Re: Why the global currency cannot be 100% internet based and if we will have one on: March 27, 2019, 03:34:47 PM
Many developing countries has no access to internet and that means there will not be able to used the global currency.  I think the way we are now is still better and since the political system and politicians will like to have their control over the financial situation in their country I strongly believe that they are not going to allow that to happen.
I don’t think there are still countries without access to internet, almost all countries, even to the underdeveloped. Niue is the smallest republic in the world and it has Wi-Fi coverage in most of its island.

I have been opportune to visit some poor countries around the world and I realized there are places they get Wi-Fi and they even sell 3G dongles for their citizens that are capable of buying, so if there eventually become an online based global currency, I don’t see much difficulties in its usage. Also like you have mentioned, politicians and political system might want to continuously have control over the financial situations in their countries and so they might go against this.
220  Economy / Economics / Re: The prevailing market condition a blessing? on: March 27, 2019, 01:22:23 PM
Prior to 2018 , the prices of most coins are very high and so not affordable .
Which I believe could have discouraged potential investors from investing into cryptosphere.
Now that the market is bearish which has seen the price of  most of these coins low and affordable and with this, it is expected that those who couldn't invest in 2017 are investing now.
So can we say that the bearish market drives adoption of Cryptocurrency?
Is it a blessing to cryptosphere?

Not really,

We can't say that people will invest on crypto currencies when the market is bearish because their hope on the crypto is to make money so they are not going to make profits until it keeps in bearish mode so we can see more investors at the bull run when compared to bear run.
I think the best thing for anyone who wants to make instant money from cryptocurrency would be to trade or lend to those who trade and if they can’t it is advisable to buy and wait for a long time. Bearish market is the best time to buy Bitcoin then wait till bull run. I can attest to the fact that this bear market is a blessing in disguise.

In 2017 I really wanted to own a bitcoin but because it was high then I had to wait. Prior to last month I got more than I would have gotten and I am willing to wait for it to rise. So, bear market gives us the opportunity to buy more bitcoins at lower prices and then sell higher at prices during the bull run.
