341  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is your general sentiment on soft-caps for ICO's? on: February 20, 2019, 09:18:06 PM
Is it necessary for an ICO to have soft-cap or does it show a sign of weakness and missing confidence?
Though I don't like ICO, but i think the soft cap is necessary for further development. Lets say the dev of the projects come up with an idea and contribute funds for basic things like whitepaper, website development, they need the soft cap in order to continue development based on their roadmap before the main sales is done to raise the remaining funds for the entire projects.
342  Economy / Marketplace / Re: For god's sake, stop lestening to mainstream Media and wake up people... !! on: February 20, 2019, 05:43:45 PM
But at the same time we must encourage mainstream media as they are the only effective promotional methods to take cryptos to new people.

I came to know about some employees are demanding about salary in BTC by 2013 in Yahoo news which made be curious to know more about bitcoins (it was like when other people were rushing to have bitcoins, why myself also should not). Hence, we cannot ignore mainstream media completely as they got their own power to serve for cryptos at positive times.
343  Economy / Exchanges / Re: what are the things to consider when looking for a good exchange? on: February 20, 2019, 03:44:11 PM
Would love to know some of your key factors so i might look into those too.
Mostly I will simply start with the exchange which are being subscribed by the devs of one token or coin. I mean I will look into their ANN topic or their web site for the list of exchanges where I am able to trade their coin or token. Then I will register and then move my tokens and then I will convert into bitcoins or ethereum and finally I may forget that exchange until coinmarketcap kind of summary services notifying the same exchange for another coin selling purposes.

I am not an active trader hence I am not taking much time to analyze and to choose exchanges. Always for first trade with a new exchange, I will risk small amount only. This is only my precautious approach for a new exchange.
344  Economy / Exchanges / Re: The future of cryptocurrency exchanges on: February 20, 2019, 03:06:39 PM
You can tell me how much exchange in the cryptocurrency market until now? just tell me for all exchange that have trusted by many user. I guess it's very much, but each exchange surely have own loyal customers/user they are not cushy to move to another exchange before they are face up some problem that makes them hate to the exchange. As well as when many exchanges are trusted accept bitcoin, then most users will not move easily.
People do not have any other option and that is why they use to trust on an exchange. There are a lot of stories about exchanges which have been hacked and take away people’s money. For example in previous time when bitfinex was hacked a lot of people lost their millions of coins.

In fact we cannot claim our money anywhere if we lose our money using even a most trusted exchange, we work and put our money there on our own risk.
345  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: HODL IS THE BEST OPTION FOR ME NOW on: February 20, 2019, 02:14:14 PM
It still depends on the coins that you have on your portfolio. It's better to start assessing each of those altcoins and check the current progress they are making. If this happened to me, I'll definitely sold all the altcoins where you haven't heard anything from the team anymore like the communication is really dead.

I think if the coin has very low volume and there is no update from the team, only then you should sell. If your coin is in Top 1000 Coin market cap list, you should wait for the bull market. Maybe it will recover.
Well, it depends on your initial value of investment. If you have invested at ATL, you can make you of your coins right now by selling them and cashing the extra dollars you have owned. If not, then of course this is the time to hold. This is about the ideology as well.

Couple of decades ago, we had a zero percent digital economy and right now it is more than 3 Trillion dollar so if you are still out or planning to withdraw, you are missing out. By considering this, I guess anyone will realize the potential of holding cryptocurrencies just for another decade might be making them billionaire too.
346  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trader don't speculate? on: February 20, 2019, 01:34:56 PM
Who said experts don't speculate?

There is no definite answer when they were trading because they can't control the people who are trading the market.
Speculating doesn't give an exact answer but trading is like gambling, you have to guess the nearest possible outcome of your trading plan because if not then you will totally gonna lose all of your money.
But, again there are so many kinds of them. They might even trade in the market with down prices. Speculating no doubt makes it more interesting and the risk in the investment is something that pays off only when there is a rise. A fall may take you down. So they do speculate and trade in the same time. But, what matters the most is your investment plan which should be very rational and made keeping every aspect in mind.
347  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Newbie should trade or not? Please give me idea. on: February 20, 2019, 01:18:34 PM
I recommend you to spend time and do some research before jumping into a crypto trader. Cryptocurrency trade will be profitable if you’re not fresh to this world, it requires patience and knowledge to become a successful trader.
Exactly trading is not a first time thing. You keep on learning with the passage of time.

Until and unless you do not have the abilities to differentiate between the coins with great potential and the coins with low potential, you would never succeed. Another thing is risk and research teaches you how to avoid. Investing and trading the coins with risk is playing a lost game.
348  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: No Regrets in cryptocurrency on: February 19, 2019, 05:36:31 PM
First of all, we should appreciate the experience we received when we made mistakes, there is no point in regret!
These days, everyone needs quick money but it is not what happens and there comes regret. The flaws and faults are what make you a good at business man. When you enter a business with the mindset of making money out of the market, you should and if you fail, you should learn and try again. Regret comes when you loose confidence and belief in yourself.

We always must focus into the continuous opportunities which is being provided by almost all the cryptocurrencies. When we are focusing on the next opportunity then we will never have time to regret about other past events. Basically, cryptos have lot of potential to support all of us regardless of what we have done in the past. Just making sure about grabbing the opportunity will ensure that everyone will find success over the time.
349  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: do we still have hope to be able to see bull run?? on: February 19, 2019, 04:28:55 PM
of course we still have hope to see bull run, but I guess possible will happen in the next year or 2, I still hoping that this year will happen so let's just wait.
Why not. We are still having the coins being transacted and traded in the market and as long as you have this, there are chances for the Bull Run. In addition, the expansion in the business and the adaptation of blockchain and Bitcoin is huge which means that in the next few years, you would have thins warm market of Bitcoins and other coins and people going crazy about making big money in the Bull Run.
350  Economy / Speculation / Re: When Will the Bear Market End? on: February 19, 2019, 06:50:33 AM
I am a Hodler, I have waited for straight 8 difficult months to see the bulls return, we were having some semblance to a boom in the last 2 weeks, now market cap is struggling with 250 Billion $. How long are we going to wait?

When will the bear market end? Sometime in 2019. It might have already ended. But if I had to guess, it will end sometime after June 2019.
Investors are waiting for long long time for the market to recover.
They have already waited for a  long time and now they are expecting that 2019 will be a good year for bitcoin and for the investors to make good money from bitcoin investment.

I myself hopeful that if bitcoin price will once start to increase, I hope that then it will very soon reach to $10k and hopefully the investors will get back their confidence  and will surely start investment in bitcoin again.
351  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is there a future for BTC anymore? on: February 19, 2019, 05:57:42 AM
Bitcoin have experience some problem before and it still stands now and it means that bitcoin can surpass challenges regarding its price. As you can see many people are still interested about bitcoin even if the price doesn't seem good and its a sign that it can't stop bitcoin to recovered and to have a future.
No doubt that bitcoin has already faced so many challenges, but for every time it succeed and faced the challenges in a good way. No doubt that bitcoin is currently passing from a difficult situation but just like previous time it will again face all the challenges and will again emerge as the most powerful and trusted crypto currency of the world.

I do not think that there is still any other crypto currency which can compete and can surpass bitcoin so easily.
352  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Mistakes when trade coin on: February 18, 2019, 03:48:28 PM
I don't have much to say if we talk about daily trading But if we're talking about long-term trade, the biggest mistake we make is that we attach importance to the other people's false market ideas.
What I believe is that we should trade when the market is trending upward and not downwards.

In many cases, people who lose in trading are the people who start trading and selling their coins when the market is going down. The fear of loosing value make them sell or trade and this is what makes the pessimism and do not allow them make money. What needs to be done is that one should go for trading if there is prospect of earning a next dollar, not loosing the existing dollar.
353  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Trading In Venezuela Keeps Setting New Records on: February 17, 2019, 07:50:38 PM
The one and only reason behind this Venezuelan rise in peer to peer transaction of Bitcoin is nothing but its political and financial crisis.  Due to inflation, the demand for fiat was reduced and ultimately replaced by the introduction of Bitcoin in the country.

This led to the initiation of the digital transactions in the country and internationally of course and will ultimately lead to a different monetary system induced in the country.

355  Economy / Economics / Re: Coin with a smoothly variating price - "stable coin" but not really on: December 13, 2018, 07:18:09 AM
I wrote a paper with two ideas for a coin with a stable price. By that I mean a price that does not change so abruptly as of now. None of those ideas involve a central authority or oracle, they work more or less the same way as current block-chain implementations.
It's a short paper, 6 pages. I hosted the pdf on github.

https://github.com/UmaPessoa69/coin-smooth-price
Basically a crypto savings account of sorts. Just like tether or circle but instead of staying at the same price forever, it will be just getting a sort of "interest rate" that keeps it going higher and higher in value. However there are couple of stuff that would prevent such a thing, who would be backing this increase in price, if there is something that is making money forever and with a guarantee people will buy it right away and that might create an off balance budget for the token that would make it worth more than what it suppose to, there were times when USDT was less than 1 dollar each and more than 1 dollar each as well. Someone needs to pay the increase for it and that won't be the users for sure. Hence it would be really difficult for anyone to guarantee such a project and back it with their own money for it.
356  Economy / Economics / Re: Do we need a global virtual marketplace for cryptocurrencies? on: December 13, 2018, 06:48:42 AM
Decentralized marketplaces and exchanges still haven't taken off.  Private companies have more incentive to advertise their platforms because of the profit motive.

Hopefully overtime decentralization will become bigger because a lot of the bigger exchanges have ended up losing customer funds and refusing to issue refunds.
I think we do not need anymore of "virtual" anything. We need a local brick and mortar shops that take bitcoin more than anything else. Japan for example is working on making crypto payments easier so that crypto adoption could rise in the country, that is a great leadership from one of the most high tech countries in the world. Lets hope more countries follow them and there would be steps taken to ensure the crypto adoption increasing.

There is a lot of money to be made from the taxes of crypto usage and countries should be taking advantage of them. There are still a lot of third world countries who do not even regulate crypto currencies. Decentralized virtual marketplaces are not the priorty right now and can be waited years before they become an important subject to any of us.
357  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Investment reality on: December 12, 2018, 08:24:15 AM
Accepting cryptocurrency as a means of payment will really increase its value and make payments more secure. But today it is difficult for the average user. When the cryptocurrency can be paid as simply as a plastic card or smartphone, it will be able to displace the usual payment methods.
Accepting crypto currencies will help for value increase but only when more people are accepting and then holding. Right now,  it's prices are not increasing even some new business are accepting crypto currency payments but more people are not ready to hold it as its value is sliding down every day. Only after more people will be accepting crypto currencies as a payment, it will get the chance to replace the usual payment methods.

80 % of people got involved in crypto from September-December and afterwards, they lost interest to invest watching their investments going down. Companies, corporations and politicians , let's say they filled their bags. And only after all of that we will see some positive regulation

But I firmly stand on my point that the only way for crypto to have a long life is the adoption and not just price speculation. And this will come from all of us. Start in little but whenever you got the chance to pay smth with cryptocurrency, just do it. Let's give real world value to the coins we hold.

When the time comes for any payment to be made using cryptocurreny, then the growth of cryptocurrency will be inevitably.
It will grow in a faster pace than what happen today.
No price growth is happening right now today but I can understand what you are referring. We need every business and everyone will be having the options of paying their payments in crypto currencies then it will grow faster than anything else. But, what you are denoting is not an easier one. To make more people aware of the importance of adopting crypto currencies will be the key for the entire scenario you have mentioned.
358  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Next month early January 2019. on: December 12, 2018, 07:52:26 AM
In the year that many people will come to the top of bitcoin, will they look forward to it? because if this happens many token holders will earn that big and many bounty hunters will return the crypto because it's high again
Top coins are always good to trade as well as for holding. Definitely in next year, most of the top coins will be defining the entire crypto space. So, buying them and then holding them will be effective way to make profits with this crypto space. We must need to buy before the bull-run starts. The bull-run probably will start by the beginning of 2019.

Hopefully the beginning of 2019 can provide good news for cryptocurrency holders so traders can smile again and many platforms are starting to use cryptocurrency again.
Yes, many platforms start using crypto currencies and many institutions are getting ready to start buying cheaper crypto currencies. So, beginning of the next year will be very much interesting for all the cryptocurrency holders. To get better benefits from the current situation, we must buy more coins right now because this is the golden opportunity to buy comparatively cheaper prices.
359  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do You Need To Put Your Emotion in Trading ? on: December 11, 2018, 12:26:13 PM

"There are two schools:
1. People want to eliminate emotions in the trading. He is practicing emotional limitation in a particular environment. Extend the mind both in depth (towards emotional elimination) and width (to the environment other than trading).
2. People want to control emotions. Work with him must have both greed and fear to progress. "
This is exactly the 2 schools to deal with trading psychology. I would like to analyze a little difference between these two schools.

Eliminate emotions

This is a group of trader that emotion is the problem, to kill the problem to kill the original is to remove emotions from the trading process. They learn how to keep the emotional impact to a minimum. And to put the mental state in the mind and consciousness.

Some ways to eliminate emotion are to look at the issue in a different way in order to separate emotions from the psyche. Or whenever the emotion signals out of control, the trader immediately distracts himself to avoid consequences.

Put another way, getting rid of emotion is making the robot look as good as possible. The ultimate goal of this school is to promote the power of reason and to reject emotion.

Emotional control

In contrast to the above, some other traders said that should not seek to eliminate emotions. May be because it is not necessary, or can not be eliminated. So one must choose one way to live and control emotions.

With this school, you will apply the transition, the emotional direction to beneficial goals such as using stress to increase concentration, turning heart to aspire to success, turning the fear of losing money into spirit the law,...

These traders "use" emotions instead of removing emotions. Because they believe that emotions create new motivation for success.

For you, which school is better suited?

I do not discuss the correctness of the two schools. I just put up an open question for you. What school do you follow? How will you do it? How is the effect? Share your experience, your opinion about these two schools?

I don’t see any difference in the two explanations you have made. Eliminating your emotion is the same thing as controlling it. Lol, what’s the difference there? The main point is just don’t trade with your emotions. Risk is part of trading, so be ready to take that risk, cause no risk no reward.

Why I said there are no difference is because when you’re controlling your emotion you’re also doing the same thing as trying to eliminate it. So there is difference, just don’t trade with your emotion.
360  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bear market,a blessing in disguise on: December 08, 2018, 11:53:42 AM
Before now, crypto sphere is full of many people whose interest is getting rich overnight and not crypto and blockchain tech, but the present bear market is exposing and already showing them a way out,I guess that is good for us because with their exit, crypto sphere can be restructure.I can't wait to have everyone working together for the interest of crypto and blockchain tech,it is going to happened soon.
In this world anyone if are doing work or giving benefit to any technology they also want to earn money so we want these all people to come and to become the part of our community and to give support to this community and make this community a stronger one.

For those all time investors and for those who are all believing in to the future is of cryptos, the current situation must be a blessing. Because they can get more chances to make big profits by investing right now.

If we go for analysing how bitcoin had traded in the past then definitely will go for making use of the current price levels of most of the cryptos. I guess no one is having time to analyse how bitcoin traded in the past that is the reason most of the people are getting panic by seeing the current situation of the market and not ready to believe it as a blessing.
