1261  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin has seen furthest correction of all bull markets on: October 05, 2019, 08:33:29 PM
what I can learn from the chart above is how volatile the crypto market is, especially with bitcoin.
no decreases occurred overnight, all of which span several months.
if you get it in the right time then you can get big profits but if it goes in the wrong time it will suffer losses.
correction is definitely needed for the continuity of this market so don't panic too much with the current conditions because bitcoin has often experienced situations like this.

This is what I have mentioned in my previous posts as the value of bitcoin does not drop and increase overnight like it used to do in the past which is an indication that we are out out those highly volatile era wherein everyday was either a bloodbath or surprise pump. But this is limited only to bitcoin and ETH to an extend as compared with other altcoin which are currently under the state of hibernation.
1262  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Alts you won't invest in on: October 05, 2019, 08:13:56 PM
Always trust your decisions, do not follow the decision of the other for you to not regret it. Do not buy altcoins just because of rumors or what your friend said. Make a research in order for you to find good altcoins.

These are basics but we tend to carried away with the the trend when we see a sudden surge in the value of any altcoins just like how we did invest into Ripple (XRP) when it's value was increased by folds. But after the recent debacle I don't think anyone will be easily carried away by these hypes as it looks like end of altcoin era. As you have mentioned market research is a key but I will not be investing in altcoins anytime sooner.
1263  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think Bitcoins biggest vulnerability is? on: October 05, 2019, 07:59:28 PM
What do you think Bitcoins biggest vulnerability is?

Government would be bitcoins biggest enemy. Regulation prevents people from getting involved in crypto, thus preventing cryptocurrency's growth and adoptation. Some countries are skeptical and strict when it comes to their people getting involved to it due to scam and issue that crypto is used in illegal activities.

Government and regulators will always remain as enemies to bitcoin or any other crypto currency due to the fact that they cannot control it and it's decentralized but off-late we have come across situations like kidnappers, hackers demanding payment through bitcoins and claims that bitcoin is used as funding for terror activities and security services cannot track their activities is turning out to be a worst nightmare. But there are crypto friendly countries like Malta, Estonia as well who have seen the bright side of crypto world.
1264  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are the scam projects killing entire crypto space? on: October 05, 2019, 09:21:53 AM
From my point of view, scam projects have taken away the glory of genuine projects.
Due to too many scams around crypto space, investors are not confident on investing in new projects. It's Becoming very difficult day by day to find out the legitimacy of the projects.
This in turn affecting the projects and result of this is not raising the funds as expected and required for further development of projects. This is daviating projects from their roadmap which is resulting in too much delay or even failure.
Missing interest in investors is somehow obstacle to growth and further research of dApps projects.
I think, rugulations will solve the topic to great extent, but is there any other way to stop the scamming and not just going away from it?
Please apply your thoughts.
Scam projects can cause investors to fear. Because if the scammed investor is new in this sphere, his confidence will be shaken and it can be the reason for give up.
Regulation seems to be a good option for now. I don't know any other way but another convenient way would be better.

Yes scam ICC are killing the market and creating sense of fear that crypto market is a bubble or scam. We need to come up with a panel who will do verification of projects before it's posted in bitcointalk.org to keep the scam projects at Bay and I do understand sometimes genuine projects are termed as scam by spammers. If we have a verification system before the project is posted then we can win the trust of investor and this will take BTC forum to a new level.
1265  Economy / Speculation / Re: How to predict Bit coin price. on: October 05, 2019, 08:50:23 AM
it is very hard to predict bitcoin price movements. although there are many different kinds of tutorials for predicting,
none of them are accurate, only guessing.
maybe you can estimate prices from market trends, generally if the market is Bullish prices will continue to pump.
Conversely, if the Bearish is generally the market will continue to weaken.

Yes but right now we cannot depend on speculations as there are big whales who can turn the tide around within hours as we have witnessed in the past wherein they have pumped up the price and when the value had reached it's peak they just dump it which affects us it's will be smart to act according to the situation by going with our instincts whenever there is a fluctuations. We cannot expect stability that's for sure and we have to acceptthis factm
1266  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Want to learn trading on: October 05, 2019, 08:32:18 AM
Hello guys! Well, I have known about crypto for a while, but never really gone into trading.
since you are just here for a while i may advice you to keep distance first in trading instead continue to look around the forum for your own safety because believe me Trading is not that easy as it can be
Quote
Recently I got an interest in crypto trading but didn't know anything about it. So, If anyone here can guide me from where to start and learn about trading?
just like the first post above YouTube is a free teacher and you can find lots there if your bright enough and ready
Quote
Do tell me if there is any course available online, free or paid? Maybe in Udemy?
Would be a real help. Thanks!
try to join also some groups from social medias but never trust anyone that may sounds like asking you money even how small or something related to this because scammers are all around the forum
Learning trading is not a big deal now, as you said now a day learning it from tarding is positive potions of trading. We can use Facebook and Google in this regard we can go for YouTube and so many other website which gives knowledge about trading. To become a good traders it’s important to learn trading skillfuli from any official site.

Well, it's combination of skills, market research and experience which will help one to become a successful trader rather than just a theoretical knowledge. Trading is not for everyone as it requires lot of patience and we need to be up to date every single minute about the market affairs, I would suggest trading with a small amount and learning from the experience will help.
1267  Economy / Speculation / Price fluctuations - Opportunity or despair? on: October 05, 2019, 08:20:26 AM
How do we term this phase of crypto currency wherein all the altcoins are bleeding including the mighty Ethereum but Bitcoin is trending strange wherein when we expect no recovery it's pumping up (short-lived) and then we witness falls and these falls are not quick they fall gradually and then raise gradually as well which has led to frequent price fluctuations. are these price fluctuations a boon for us to make use of it and trade in order to achieve profits or else it's a despair situation wherein we are clueless and don't know what to do ?
1268  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Bad habits from devs with bounty rewards on: October 04, 2019, 09:08:36 PM
90% of real bounty hunters are no longer participating in signature campaigns. Because everyone is wasting their time. That's why the forum was slowly dying. Yobit's signature really gave life to the forum.

It's quite obvious that the bounty hunters spend almost 3 months on an average with a bounty project expecting they will be rewarded but most of the bounties are either turning out to be a scam or the token is not sent to bounty hunters as promised , it's shared with them after the value of the token is almost equal to zero and this has happened with some of the trusted projects like Athero. Yobit is solely responsible for keeping this forum alive as most of the members were inactive before the cryptotalk campaign.
1269  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Altcoin price recovery on: October 04, 2019, 08:16:44 PM
What are your thoughts and expectations?

will the price recover? yes
When's that gonna happen? Nobody knows.
will it affect all projects? no

you can't say much more at the moment. sorry. Cheesy

Thia is how it's the market has been trending from past 18 months as there are too many predictions that the market situation will be better and there are predictions about bull run but it goes the other way around as when we expect pump we go though dump and vice versa. I believe it will be better just to flow with the market situation and make use of it through day trading rather than expecting something which seems to be impossible nowm
1270  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Should move to BTC? on: October 04, 2019, 07:55:07 PM
If we will just include XRP to this topic then we should be moving 100 percent to BITCOIN.
But if you will do, you should consider to include other coins.
I might go 50/50 with BTC and ETH.
XRP will be going nowhere, I still can't understand those millions of XRP sending to other wallet and sell to market if the price rise.

XRP is out of league over here as it's too manipulative due to it's unofficial nature of being a centralized crypto rumoured to have been created by banks to penetrate the crypto market and they control it's value by creating buy/sell demands. When it comes to Bitcoin and ETH my preference would be same 50/50 as both are trustworthy and bounces back no matter how hard they fall which is not the case with other altcoins.
1271  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Smart hodling vs just hodling on: October 04, 2019, 07:21:01 PM
Many of us here are hardcore bitcoin believers. If you are anything like me, you've put most of your savings in bitcoin.

However, how painful is it to watch bitcoin price plummet?  Cry   Undecided  Roll Eyes  Huh  Sad  Angry

April 1st signaled the start of what seemed would be yet another bull run… however, the rally seems to have been cut short without getting close to the all-time high.

What do you think would be a smarter way of hodling bitcoin other than standing still, bag in hand, while watching the price go back down to the $3K range?

It purely depends on the kind of experience one has with bitcoin and the knowledge one carries about the whole crypto market. I have come across profiles who don't give a damn about the price dip as they have invested for long term like 10 years or so but they have already saved enough and utilized it unlike the recent contributors who have only seen the downfall of bitcoin as these users have invested money in bitcoin only post December 2017 when bitcoin became talk of the town for the unexpected pump.

I would prefer buying during the price dump and converting existing BTC to USDT rather than just observing the bloodbath.
1272  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Sell your altcoins and tokens TODAY, save yourself the frustration on: October 04, 2019, 06:54:38 PM
You know how this is going to end. You might be trying to lie to yourself, you might be secretly hoping that some token in your "portfolio" that you have 10 million of is going to moon to $50 and make you rich, but let's be real: that is not going to happen. Even the allegedly strong altcoins like LTC or ETH or whatever is cool these days (I've been out of this game for a while) are not doing well and BTC dominance is growing. Which makes sense if you think about it. BTC can do most of what any altcoin can do and the few really useful features that BTC is missing (private transactions for example) are implemented by multiple altcoins, fragmenting their market share.

And the elephant in the room: 99% of altcoins are total garbage. They're called shitcoins for a reason.

Sell your altcoins and tokens. Take the proceeds in BTC, stick it into a cold wallet, keep some online to play around with Lightning and other things that actually matter for real-life stuff, like being able to buy something. When was the last time you were able to use for example Ethereum for something tangible, not to buy some garbage tokens or to play a game?

Do it today. Your grandkids will thank you.

So true, I am still in dilemma whether to go ahead with your advise and sell off all those shit coins and tokens which is rotting in my exchange as well as myetherwallet but still trying to console myself with a lie that tides will turn our way and there might be one more bull market in the future but it's not helping me at all as things are getting worse day by day. I would rather suggest people to make a resolution that they will wait till a certain date and then if we don't get desired result then its time to get rid of useless shitcoins and tokens.
1273  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What's next for bitcoin ? on: October 04, 2019, 10:36:14 AM
We have been through a rough ride but what's next for bitcoin ? It has survived some brutal sanctions which were implemented by regulators but still manages to flourish (sustain), but don't you think bitcoin can earn more reputation by doing something good for the community like donating for environment cause, could pledge to help Amazon rainforest to recover from the recent disaster which will create more bitcoin sympathizers. Don't you think bitcoin community needs to focus on world affair so that we can be a part of mainstream and recognized by people ?
Bitcoin isn't controlled by anyone so a plan to donate would need to be talked about by the community and only those who agree could join the said charity donation. I don't expect the majority to partake in that kind of session though. The community doesn't need to partake in charity to become famous since it's basically just a matter of time. And bitcoin won't be the one featured, it would most likely be the user who donated, or could be labeled as an anonymous donator.

Bitcoin is not controlled by anyone since it's decentralized but when I say bitcoin I am referring to the bitcoin community and it's not individual donations but as a community and it's not just a matter of time but rather how we create impact on lives and betterment of this world. If we can form a community and donate then it will make a difference, yes the identity will be anonymous but still it will be from bitcoin community.

1275  Economy / Speculation / Re: Are you guys ok if BTC ends in the 10k USD range at the end of 2019? on: October 01, 2019, 06:29:20 PM
It will be great if it reaches near 15k, after a massive downfall last year it slowly started pumping and we saw some positive results in the third quarter but now we are once again experiencing a downfall which is really frustrating, I believe this is to scare panic sellers and big Whales want to make some twist by the end of the last quarter.
1276  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Sold my house for buying altcoins need your help on: October 01, 2019, 06:13:33 PM
I don't recommend this at all, people who are planning to let this happen kindly stop it. This is seriously a risky step selling your valuables for crypto is not at all acceptable for me, because crypto is volatile and anything can happen in future do not rush to sell your valuable things to buy coins.
1277  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Alts you won't invest in on: October 01, 2019, 06:09:01 PM
Do not invest in a coin where you see a lot of hype, especially in the centralised coin if you need some serious profit. Most of alts end up in scam which is really frustrating the secret of crypto currency is holding the asset and wait patiently until the market turns green.
1278  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will China Accept Bitcoin As A Currency? on: October 01, 2019, 06:01:51 PM
I think Chinese government will accept Bitcoin as a currency in near future because of its popularity and mass adoption, if this happens I am sure the value of BTC will skyrocket again. Chinese government show their uniqueness to their people's interest and come forward to support BTC as a currency.
1279  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Ukraine wants to legalize crypto (again) on: October 01, 2019, 05:52:53 PM
Well this might happen only when crypto start dominating the market, government will recognise coins only if the users are higher. BTC dominance is growing fastly and it cannot be ignored by the government, let the government keep some rules to avoid misleading in the near future if they want but just make it legal.
