I'm well aware cyrptorush is at fault here, still this is bad news for bc. Thanks for bringing this to the attention of mint community, now they know to withdraw mint from cryptorush.

Minting is like mining. In mining the bigger the rig, the quicker you find the block. In minting, there are 2 factors. 1. Size of your holding 2. Coin age If you have a smaller holding, I recommend waiting a few days longer than 20. This will increase you coin age and you will be paid out more quickly when you open your wallet for Minting. You will still receive 20% annually. I've pasted a link from from Beaverslayer below might help you understand.

I haven't minted anything since the 18th of March, I am up to date on with the new wallet, is something wrong?
You mint every 20 days. So you have 13 more to go. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't believe that's accurate unless he received all of his coins in one block. Suppose you were mining mint, and received 50k mint per day, in single lump sum payouts (1 payout per day) from a mining pool, from March 1st - March 3rd. 3/21 - the 50k coins you mined on 3/1 should now begin attempting to mint. Assuming they do mint today, in 20 days they will attempt to mint again. 3/22 - the 50k coins you mined on 3/2 should now begin attempting to mint. Assuming they do mint today, in 20 days they will attempt to mint again. 3/23 - the 50k coins you mined on 3/3 should now begin attempting to mint. Assuming they do mint today, in 20 days they will attempt to mint again. Furthermore, depending on whether or not the minted coins become a part of the same block as the "chunk" of coins that they were minted from, you may end up with either 3 or 6 groups of coin ages in this example scenario, each of which would now be attempting to mint on different days. Please anyone do correct me if I am wrong, but this is how hobonickels POS works and I believe Mint does it the same way. Well using your example it would also depend on when he opened his wallet, if he opened on 3/24, all coins would stake and be paid around the same time. People should also do the math to find out if they are up to date on minting. Example using 100,000: 20% of 100,000 is 20,000 (to be paid annually) You are paid out every 20 days 365/20=18.25 20,000/18.25=1,095 1,095 is around the number you should receive every 20 days. Leave your wallet open 24 hrs at least.

Na, I think it's ok to talk about other coins in our own thread, but I don't want to sink to their level. We don't have to because our coin has a solid foundation. It will grow organically. No pesticides needed

Overall, imo, Blackcoin looks very highly manipulated to me, price isn't everything, and it could be that it is wolong or 1-2 persons that own like 50% of the coins and is trading with himself to artificially inflate the trading volume and prices. Why would BC have a higher market cap than mintcoin with 3x-6x smaller community? Smells of pump manipulation to me. I think the higher BC marketcap shows more affulent speculators are vested in large holdings BC compared to MINT. The 5-week PoW stage vs 1-week for BC ensured far better distribution, as did MINT's lower price of entry. It's sort of like 50% of the entire wealth of the US is held by 1% of the population. I think the 20% stake of MINT is also viewed as inflation of an already far greater supply of currency. All coins are already in circulation though. It's like saying, "hey we're done! Come buy our coin, it's better than bitcoin!" It's just funny to me, lol, I mean literally funny. From a purely currency perspective, MINT is a far more sustainable concept IMO. However I do think MINT may have shot themselves in the foot by incorporating such large stake percentages for the initial years into an already inflated money supply. A flat 5% seems more reasonable and it's a figure people can relate to. 20% seems like a banana republic style inflation rate. You mean like the clothing store? HA! Seriously though, I think in a more established market that rate would be high, but I feel it was needed to bring in people new to crypto. People like me. I could be wrong, just have to wait and see. I'm guessing you hold both, which seems like a smart play. I'm happy to announce, that http://hashco.ws has now launched a 'Get Paid in MintCoin' option to the pool. I plan to provide an update on the status of the Android wallet weekly until such time as the bounty is removed. I've completed all of the cosmetic and translation work in the wallet. I've begun work in the mintcoinj library. As thisisit mentioned, this portion is slow going but progress is being made. I have made the code changes to allow outgoing peer connections on the main mintcoin network. Currently I'm working through some protocol & deserialization exceptions attempting to download the blockchain. Any updates to the mintcoin wiki in the form of protocol specifications and testnet configurations (if any) would be greatly appreciated. Keep checking the URL of my original post for updated screenshots.
Oh wow. That's great news! From what I understand this is fairly substantial technical undertaking. I applaud your efforts! Don't forget the link https://drive.google.com/folderview?id=0BwpkXqmxmdGScm9lb21pTXhuS00&usp=sharing

As soon as the small guys can't afford to buy any more BC the whales will exit the market, crashing the price and leave everyone holding the bag.
Mint has already shown it has holders who won't sell, having never fallen below 10 sat. These people know they can hold the coin and continue to make money. They know future buyers will feel the same. This allows Mint to weather storms of sideways trading without tanking.
Can the same be said for BC? I don't think so, I guess time will tell.
I don't know about this wolong business, though it's funny I guess.
Has anybody besides me made the connection of "woo" Long" - as in- I'm going to woo long investors into buying my crap coin.

I don't understand BC at all. People are effectively buying into a finite supply. 1% a year growth won't effect the market at all, so really all coins are already in circulation. So what's the point? What's special about the coin?
How is it different from nxt? I think people have the mistaken impression that they will see new coins in their wallet. If you buy 1000 coins and hold them for a year you'll gain 10 blackcoins. 10.
Contrast that with mint where 1000 will give you 200. Seeing more than 10 coins every 20 days.
