You think this coin has been fun wait till you see the blackcoin train about to happen, its been referred to as mintcoin on steroids.
how so? It's a copycat of Mintcoin. This is the MINTCOIN thread. Not really. For one Mint has 70 billion coins, a much higher block reward and 5x longer PoW phase and 20% APY. Compared to 10,000,000,000 coins, 10,000 block reward, 1 week PoW stage and 5% APY for BlackCoin. I look at it like the ratio between gold/silver. Both are valuable, one is much scarcer than the other and therefore much more valuable and the other is more accessible and subject to higher volatility The current price ratio with MINT at 43 and BlackCoin at 1900 sat is 45:1, which interestingly enough is about the historical average price ratio of gold vs silver. Cmon man. This coin came out 2 days after Mint started popping off, and it isn't gold to Mint's silver. Mint will still be adding a lot of coins every year, which is a GOOD thing because people will have a chance to buy in to buy into a coin that will multiply for them at a rate of 20%. Or they could go spend a fortune on your blackcoin (great name ) and earn 5%. Scarcity does not equal value. Gold is valuable because it's GOLD! It has very unique properties, is indestructible, and is scarce. It doesn't really belong in a discussion about cyrptocoins imo. hey man im just telling you whats going to the best coin to get into the next few days. Believe what you want expect 100% plus gains on blackcoin. If it was the best coin you wouldn't be here shilling. Also it's a 1% gain at blackcoin.

Really Really cool. That seems to be way above 20% for the first stakeholders, you were rewarded well for holding from day 1.
I don't think you are looking at that right. He PoS mined 300 mint. Ahh, lol well I'm glad to see it works, but sad to say I don't know how. Does he choose the stake amount? He had 27000 mint for over 20 days so it moved to stake then generated the pos block and probably a few more after that. After the pos blocks are mined the stake balance is moved back to regular balance. Ohh, yep that's about right at 20%. Just so people understand, it's 20% annually paid out every 20 days- There are approx. 18 Twenty day periods in a year.

Does anyone know if I can add an .dat file to an existing wallet? I have some mint on a flash drive that I need to get into my wallet somehow without disturbing the coins already there, but I only have one computer.
Do not replace the existing wallet.dat file if the existing wallet has Mint coins. You will need to use another computer and a fresh wallet for that wallet.dat file. Since you only have one computer you could send all the mint from the existing wallet to an exchange and then replace the wallet.dat file with the one from the flash drive. Then send the coins from the exchange to the wallet, but I think that will reset the PoS for you? How many mint are on the flash drive wallet.dat file? HoboNickels has a way to integrate another wallet within the wallet. I have a little over 10 million MINT with at least 15 days of age, so I'd rather not reset that if I can. If it's like others, I think i can just overwrite the wallet qt and not effect wallet.dat in appdata Anyone able to confirm what I'm thinking is not insane? lol That sounds right. Just make sure you back up both wallet.dat files!! Thanks for the replies. I ended up creating a new user account, installed a new Mint wallet, and put the wallet.dat file inside. This spared me loss of coin age.

Last couple page of this thread have been interesting. People coming out of nowhere with long winded ideas, followed by product placements. If anyone doubts this coins popularity, you need not doubt any longer...everyone is trying to cash in. *Drink Coca-Cola

I have never seen before a crypto so steady after a rise from 7 to 63 satoshis...! Mint is the new Bitcoin, admit it. Everything has just been so smooth.
Don't jinx it

Just found mint and thought i'd give it a try, any suggestions on the best pool?
I would use miningpool.co. I don't have any scrypt hardware, but the pools work nice for my asic and they have Mint. Also it's pay for share, and show's your percentage of block reward after 1 confirm. It's slick.
