Hey guys, why should I prefer Mintcoin over Blackcoin? Any ideas? What is the difference?
Considering Blackcoin's rise ... I think Mintcoin is much more undervalued right now. That & it pays 20% interest vs. 1% interest of Blackcoin... Blackcoin seems to be exploding, but most of it is psychological. If you were to double Mintcoin's current price we would be at 32 satoshi, and have a higher market cap than BC has at the moment. A 16 satoshi move could happen in minutes when you consider the true value of Mint. -20% interest for people who buy now. That's 200k extra coins if you buy 1 million. -multipools that pay out in mint coming online -android wallet soon -Environmental fund established -Added to Vault of Satoshi -First coin to go from proof of work to proof of stake I know there is more, but I'm tired at the moment.  |

Vault of Satoshi has just announced that Mintcoin will be added in April along with some other coins.
They are also going to be adding coin to coin trading to eliminate the going through BTC step...this is all great news

Multipools are a temporary fix at best...
It is not a fix. It is a great addition to PoS coins that i believe will be very common in the future. It adds more liquidity to the coin and open up for further distribution of it. + a kabillion. Very nice way of describing things. Multipools are a way for supporters to add value to Mintcoin. Temporay fix? More like long-term addition. Anyway, now that we have several coming on line we can focus our other projects. |

Well blackcoin has a multipool. At this point in time, Blackcoins Multi Pool is only in closed beta and you require an invite to be a part of it. Blackcoin is a dump.. they stole the source from the multipool dev and are rebranding it without his name... I dont expect anyone to buy bc or anycoin associated with blackcoin. Lol, I agree BC is a dump. I'm a Mintcoin supporter, I don't support BC. I just want a multi-pool. We seem to have reached the floor. No body wants to dump the coin at 12, if you subtract the current sell walls one can ascertain that everyone else holding Mint is keeping it cozy in their wallet for the long term. I was worried earlier, but if we aren't seeing panic selling now I don't think we will. That means we only go up from here, even though it may take a while. |

That is excellent news. You can see the buy pressure building up again on Mintpal. Now there is 11 BTC at 10 satoshis and the 11 satoshi mark is building up and sitting happily at 7 BTC.  What happened to 25 btc wall at 10? I thought noone could get thru that? I think what happened is some of the 20 btc wall at 10 got moved to 11. Guessing though. Na somebody removed a large amount. The 11 buy wall has a lot of smaller orders that built over time. |

Is it possible to make an Android wallet without PoS functionality? I doubt anyone would carry hundreds of millions of MINT on their phone, but just a small amount. It would be like a space shuttle, and the QT version on a laptop or PC would be the mothership. The shuttle is smaller, lighter, and has a more limited armament. Perhaps, a simple non-PoS version could be released to buy some time until a PoS version could be released.
IMO PoS isn't necessary in the mobile, but I have no idea what mrqui1ky has in mind. |

I'd like to see some monies given to groups given to non profit groups researching alternative energy sources. Better solar panels, etc.. I'll see what I can dig up and post at mintcointalk.com when I get some time.

any progress on that? We have one potentially interested. Being faithful to my own policy, I won't mention name before it is done. This is in regards to a multi-pool. Just in case the one in the works falls through, make sure and head over to Reddit to show your support. There are 4 separate threads mentioning the multi-pool, upvote and comment in each one if you support it. Making a Reddit account does not require giving them you email. Couldn't be easier. I read somewhere on reddit that changing the staking time would require a fork. 20 days really isn't that long, and if you're like me you mint several times a month anyway because of different dates on deposits.
