Gentarium Integrates Dash Into Masternode Hosting and Shared Masternode Services

Quote
Gentarium, a masternode, mining, and loan management platform has integrated Dash support for masternode hosting
as well as for masternode shares.

Nice to see a new hosting service that also allows sharing masternodes. I think that gets us now to three hosting services
that allow shared masternode hosting (Crowdnode.io & Snode.co & Gentarium)

...Dash only has two pairs on Coinbase Pro : DASH-BTC and DASH-USD

I agree you are correct, I just checked Coinbase Pro correctly and indeed there are DASH-BTC and DASH-USD pairs to trade.

I was mainly focused on Euro, USDT and ETH pairs and after checking these I assumed that there is no Dash at Coinbase because these pairs are almost always available if Dash is listed on an exchange.

Of course, this is only the beginning of Dash listing on Coinbase Pro exchange and that is why there are only two pairs as for now.

i too hope for additional pairs, specifically a DASH-EURO pair would be nice for European traders.

That $100 was most likely due to the original Dash listing on Coinbase and Coinbase Pro (also known as the Coinbase effect) and the
countless other recent integrations. Just check Dash News for news about Dash.

Strange, because a couple of days ago I wanted to transfer my money from Yobit and choose Dash to save on fees and when I tried to send it to my Coinbase Pro account to trade further I couldn't because there was no deposit option for Dash. Additionally, I was looking at trading pairs and there is no Dash in USDT, ETH, Euro, USD or any other pairs.

When was Dash exactly added to Coinbase Pro?

Any chance you are from the UK or New York State ?
If not, then its maybe best to check with Coinbase Pro directly.

By the way, Dash only has two pairs on Coinbase Pro :

DASH-BTC
DASH-USD

What is the reason for the sudden increase in the price of dash in Coinbase? Is there any good news surrounding Dash? It had already crossed the One Hundred Dollars.

Also Dash has created a new longterm price trend for itself these last few weeks and it looks like its now slowly turning into
an uptrend as well :

Can someone please point me where I can get the latest update on evolution ?

Dash Evolution has been given a more specific name on our Dash roadmap : Dash Core v1.0 (which also includes Dash Platform).

Link : https://www.dash.org/roadmap/

Dash Core v1.0 scheduled for release on testnet end of december 2019.
Dash updates with regards to Dash Platform or other aspects of Dash Core v.1.0 (Dash Drive, DAPI, Blockchain useraaccounts) can sometimes
be found on the Dash Blog, the blogsite that also releases the weekly "Product Updates''. Just remember Dash Core v1.0
is still heavily in development, not released yet. So dont count on too much information in circulation.

Telling people Dash is dying is just troll talk, nothing more and nothing less. Lets take another look at the facts :

Best way to deal with trolls is to ignore them. This forum has actually an ignore button to use on users who
are involved with trolling and spreading FUD. That option is located just below the trust score of users.
It works very well.

1069  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Fee-less cryptocurrencies...Are they the future? on: October 05, 2019, 09:32:45 PM
A cryptocurrency without fees can be attacked by spamming its network with a lot of small transactions, thereby overloading such network.
Fees are important from a security point of view, to make spam attacks too costly to initiate.

Unfortunetely there is a whole minute (3:30 - 4:30) of that 20 minutes interview, that is plagued with sound issues.
Just find a way to get through it, audio quality improves after that. I wish this was spotted and fixed before it was press
released. Interview itself is pretty fair towards Dash and i'm glad Coindesk took the time to do a catch-up on Dash.

Dash, Facing the De-enlistment of Upbeat, Defends Itself - “We are not a ‘privacy coin’”

Quote
Among domestic investors, confusion is spreading due to the contradicting directions the domestic and international
exchanges are taking. Privacy coins are facing unprecedented challenges, with their very survival at stake.

CMO Fernando Gutierrez of Dash Core Group opined that such a difference originates from “the difference in the level of
understanding on Dash.”

This is basicly Dash long battle towards getting Dash no longer viewed as a privacy centric cryptocurrency,
and thereby often getting incorrectly grouped together with other privacy centric cryptocurrencies like Monero and Zcash.

Since Dash is a fork of Bitcoin, uses the same open blockchain as Bitcoin where information on sender and receiver is public
viewable and both networks use optional CoinJoin mixing (Bitcoin 4%, Dash less then 1%), Dash should be regarded the same
as Bitcoin and be given the same legal status as Bitcoin, by exchanges and government agencies.

1075  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are Privacy Coins under Scrutiny? on: October 04, 2019, 01:32:10 PM
No exchange would want to confront governments. Privacy coins can be used to bribe, launder money and exchange illegal things. Exchanges need to suck up a bit because they want regulation.

It can also be done on Bitcoin through CoinJoin (usage has been increasing on Bitcoin network)

Link : https://bitcoinmagazine.com/articles/percentage-coinjoin-bitcoin-transactions-triples-over-past-year

It can also be done on FIAT currencies (has still largest usage).

If you really want to stop bribe, launder money and exchange illegal things then we should :

*  Delist Bitcoin because of CoinJoin
* Stop development of privacy features for Bitcoin (two BIP's focussed on privacy for Bitcoin have already been introduced by Bitcoin
   developers --> https://www.coindesk.com/new-bips-hint-at-upcoming-taproot-bitcoin-soft-fork)
* Stop development of privacy features for Ethereum --> https://www.coindesk.com/why-ethereums-privacy-matters-and-whats-being-built-to-support-it
* Stop development of privacy features for Litecoin --> https://cryptobriefing.com/litecoin-inches-towards-privacy-with-new-grin-dev/
* Stop development of privacy features for Ripple --> https://www.ripple.com/insights/going-beyond-blockchain-pt-2-ensuring-transaction-privacy/
* Delist all privacy coins
* Delist all FIAT currencies and close all banks
* Fall back person to person exchanging goods for goods, monitored by offial third party to prevent the exchange of illegal things

Here is an question : why is it okay for governments around the world to attack Facebook's Libra project out of concerns for privacy,
while those same governments put pressure on exchanges to delist certain privacy coins ? Sounds pretty hypocritical to me.

Dash longterm (1W) price trend on Poloniex

As you can see Dash indeed entered a new longterm price trend, unfortunetely this new trend is moving sideways for now.
What Dash needs is a moving upwards in its RSI channel (it is sitting very low in that channel right now) and a strenghtening
of the new trend on MACD.

By the way, i used some different indicators on my chart, i hope you like them.
1077  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: COLD Wallet For USDT ERC20 on: October 04, 2019, 10:47:27 AM
There is one problem with Tether through ERC20, which is the specific network this all gets processed on.
Which is Ethereum network, the same network that is showing an increase in fee costs (higher then Bitcoin), a dependancy on
having to first calculate the correct gas fee (automatic gas fee calculation are these days often at the low side) and a slow down
in its ability to process transactions.

The reasons : increase in Tether ERC20 transactions through Ethereum network has maxed-out that network and Ethereum still has no
scaling solution in place.

Personally i rather use a network that has room to grow and a scaling solution already in place, before considering any
cold storage on it. So that i dont have to deal with issues like these later on.

BitGo Launches Dash Staking Enabling Secure Custodial Passive Income

Quote
BitGo has launched staking with Dash support for its secure custodial platform, allowing investors, including institutions to earn passive recurring income from their investments.

Read more here : https://dashnews.org/bitgo-launches-dash-staking-enabling-secure-custodial-passive-income/
Source of picture and article : Dash News

There are advantages and disadvantages to this kind of centralized staking :

Advantages : No more worries about personally being responsible for the security of your investment, attractive return on investment,
insured to a high level (100M), cold wallet storage.

Disadvantages : Not in control of your own private keys, No more governance voting, Joining a centralized staking provider centralizes
the Dash network to a degree. In case of a large hack/bankruptcy the insurence will most likely payout in FIAT, not Dash. Which could
be a disadvantage, depending on the Dash price.

How do you feel about these new upcoming centralized staking opportunities versus Masternode payments or Proof of Stake payments
on decentralized networks ?
