1021  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DASH] Dash (dash.org) | First Self-Funding Self-Governing Crypto Currency on: November 03, 2019, 09:58:35 AM
We used to have such interesting trolls in this Dash Announcements thread, trolls that gave us entertainment and even some laughs.
Trolls that presented us with a challenge. Now we only have these three left Embarrassed

Alexey45 : Only posts in the Dash Announcements thread, posts in Russian language sometimes

* 23rd of august 2018 : ↑↑♥↑↑
* 24th of august 2018 :  Ждaть нeт cил! DASH Too the Moon ↑↑♥↑↑
* 28th of august 2019 : ↑ ↑ ↑   Grin (a direct reply to roslinpl, on the question 'how much do you love Dash?')
* 22nd of september 2019 : How much can you wait when there will be a pumping of DASH?
* 2nd of october 2019 : FATF will ban exchanges from trading DASH
* 29th of october 2019 : Team of assholes that you are silent, where in the news DASH?

From loving Dash to hating Dash in a matter of a few months, rather an achievement on itself.

Dahaa : Newbee troll, account created 18th of june 2019. Only posts in the Dash Announcements thread. Trolling Dash from the start using words like trash, scammers and useless crap.

* 22nd of june 2019 : True eyes cut out. Account I do not have to download for you
(dont ask me what he means with this, i have no idea)
* 3rd of  august 2019 : The dash again updates the new bottom at 0.009BTC you are scammers !!!
* 30th of august 2019 : dash nobody needs trash!!!

This is a simple low level trolling account. This one is so boring, he could actually bore someone to death with his trolling posts.

kuduirt : Litecoin fan, trolls Dash depending on its price and on his mood. Posts in Russian language sometimes.

* 10th of july 2019 : dash price 0.01190505 sat . looking like shit coin Undecided what do u think guys
* 13th of september 2019 : hehe  Grin now dash looking sexy, good jump for few days 80>90$
* 28th of october 2019 : dash 2017 looking like good coin. dash 2018 shit coin. dash 2019 shit coin. dash 2020 shit coin. 2022 delist dash
* 29th of ocober 2019 : if Dash drop on 15$ i bay it

This one should make up his mind if he wants to troll Dash or trade Dash, all these mood swings of his are a bit unsettling to watch.

Also i cant help but notice how similiar Alexey45 and kuduirt are in their posting : both use Russian language in posts, both have these mood swings, both seem to focus heavily on price.
I wonder if they could be related ? Undecided  And if they are related, do they know they are related ?  Roll Eyes

Just for Alexey45 and kuduirt : https://www.ancestry.com/cs/us/gettingstarted

1022  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is running DASH masternode more profitable than HODLING bitcoin? on: November 02, 2019, 05:45:29 PM
Return on Investment (ROI) comparison between Bitcoin and Dash :

https://messari.io/screener

If this trend continues, i see Dash getting a far higher ROI then Bitcoin (once Dash gets out of this current multi-year bearmarket).
1023  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is running DASH masternode more profitable than HODLING bitcoin? on: November 01, 2019, 09:31:01 PM
A simple question, If i buy 1000 DASH with Bitcoin and and run a masternode, i will generate passive income. My question is will the end result after 1 year (initial deposit + income) will be greater than if i decide to HODL bitcoin and don't run a masternode ?
I want to earn passive income but it has a risk right? What if DASH price falls after one year and bitcoin price keeps increasing, that can happen? or Bitcoin and DASH price directly proportional in long term?

it wont be MORE profitable, but it will be LESS volatile. DASH stays around same price, it only moves when its owners make it
DASH was created to be a long term income specifically, the dev was hired to create something that would be a long term income for the group of people tht hired him
he was wildly successful. Community was pissed of course once it was found out, but the coin wasent made for them they forget...

I'm not sure where you got your information, but it needs some correcting:

Dash lead developer was not hired to create this crypto project. Dash lead developer Evan Duffield created Xcoin --> Darkcoin --> Dash mainly as a side project (he had a fulltime paying job at the time)
together with a partner named Internet Ape, because he could not get his suggestions about privacy enhancement implemented in Bitcoin (i suspect Bitcoin developers were not ready to hard fork their Bitcoin
project to also include privacy).

Link : https://www.dash.org/forum/threads/the-birth-of-darkcoin.162/

Orginally a foundation was created early on in the hope that would get enough donations to fund developers and provide support for his project, but it turned out this was not really working so well. Evan Duffield then
came up with the brilliant idea of splitting the blockreward between miners (45%), masternodes (45%) and a decentralized budget (10%). Next step was finding a way to govern that budget in a
decentralized way, so he came up with the idea of giving voting power to masternodes.

The community fully supported this from the start, there was no pissed off community at all about the masternode concept. Dash Community members even started to develop shared masternode services,
so people could profit from masternode rewards, without each needing the full 1000 Dash collateral (they would pool that 1000 Dash together).
Dash current core development team gets their funding directly from Dash decentralized budget, as do many other Dash projects. Evan Duffield has moved on to another Dash project and is no longer
a member of the Dash Core Team.

With regards to orginal poster's question if running a Dash masternode is more profitable than HOLDLING Bitcoin :

Like any altcoin out there it can be more profitable, but then again there are also higher risks associated with it.
For me personally it was well wearth the investment, i just had to wait some time before it got profitable (i entered the market at the height of a bull market).

You do have to understand that bear and bull markets can have a dramatic effect (both negative and positive) on Dash masternode rewards in fiat, also be informed that Dash has a yearly
reduction in blockrewards of -7.1% (next one scheduled somewhere in april 2020 i think). This will effect how much Dash the miners, masternodes and the budget get through block rewards
(it diminish over time, a planned reduction to combat inflation).

Best strategy in my view is still to buy a masternode in a bear market (when the total costs are low), save up the masternode payments in a hardware wallet (Ledger / Trezor) and then pay them out
in fiat on an exchange during a bull market.

Bull markets can make investors feel they made all the right investment moves.
Bear markets can make investors feel they made all the wrong investment moves.

Sailing the waves between bull markets and bear markets and understanding how
personal feelings can negatively impact decisions, is key to winning this little crypto 'game'.

With regards to trolls hating on Dash :

disgruntled customers who should be addressed with empathy and understanding.
Haters are a breed apart.

lol, fucking semantics  Roll Eyes  Roll Eyes  Roll Eyes

It is okay, i understand it is rather difficult admitting to everyone reading this specific Dash Announcements thread, that despite your legendary account you obviously do not have a
clear grasp on certain basic crypto definitions like premine, fastmine, instamine and rather want to blame it on semantics, then on an obvious personal lack of understanding.

Are there any other words you are struggling with ? I'm always willing to help a fellow legendary account member out....

PistonHonda is an old troll...
But where is our main troll?

No idea, Icey's last post : 4th of july 2019.
Maybe his account got locked ? Or he is taking a very long vacation ?
No activity on moderated threads of his as well.
Looks like he is

I guess we will now never really know, if he was indeed an employee of Hashfast  Sad

how's everyones fav premine overly pumped coin doing??? Cheesy  Shocked  Tongue

Cool, another noob or troll (or both) that does not know what a premine means. Premine means mining before public launch,
which was never the case with Dash. Truth is only trolls and noobs still try to hang a premine on Dash.

Now you have to wonder, if this person does not even know what a premine means, what else does this person not know about ?
Claiming Dash was premined is like claiming Bitcoin was premined, it just comes across as dumb to those that actually know what
a premine means. Ultimately this damage someone's credibility on this forum.

Maybe this person also believes that the earth is flat, just because he does not understand what the word 'round' means.  Undecided
Now i'm okay with noobs and trolls making a fool out of themselves (i see that on a daily basis), i just wish they knew they were making
a fool out of themselves. Maybe this post will help with that...

Its a good thing we still have so many trolls on this forum that keep bumping this Dash Announcements thread,
thereby keeping Dash as the most viewed and most replied Announcement thread of all the Altcoins on this forum :

Selection on Views :

Selection on Replies :

Now i just want to say to those trolls that bump our thread with trolling posts on a daily basis (you all know who you are) and not receive any feedback on their trolling posts :

Sure most of us (including me) have put you all on ignore for posting trolling posts in here and sure most of your posts are of such a low level trolling
that one may wonder where you guys get your inspiration from these days, but please be informed you are all doing important work by bumping our Dash thread.
By each bump done, you keep this Dash Announcements thread number one !

Keep the bumps coming...

probably the fact that dash is the only age altcoin that has maintained a long-term growth at bitcoin
What alternate universe do you live in? Screenshots taken a couple minutes ago.

https://imgur.com/a/LOSMwi5

It is prolonged crypto winter for all altcoins, but hard fact that Dash performance is really bad.

If we look at other coins and compare theirs prices in BTCs now and in time just before big jump in 2017,it is more than clear Dash bad performance:

- ETH & LTC today price in BTCs are about 2x bigger than before 2017 pump

- XRP today price in BTCs is about 6x bigger than before 2017 pump

- XMR today price in BTCs is about 3x bigger than before 2017 pump

- DOGE today price in BTCs is about 80% bigger than before 2017 pump

- DASH today price in BTCs is about 25% smaller than before 2017 pump - it shows how hard Dash was drained.

Focussing on value in BTC instead of value in USD seems pretty pointless during bearmarkets and bull markets. Most people just focus on value in USD.

https://messari.io/screener

Percentage down from ATH is pretty much the same across the board (Bitcoin SV the obvious exception), so i'm not seeing how Dash performance has been all that different in comparison to other altcoins.
Some altcoins also seem to be doing a slow catchup with regards to percentage down from ATH (XMR and ETH were in the mid 80% and are now getting a bit closer to 90%).
I think Dash percentage down from ATH (in the 95% range) has been pretty stable for some time now, and i suspect those altcoins that are still below 90% will continue facing a lot of sell pressure
untill they too are also getting in the mid 90% down from ATH.

Dash performance on mining hashrate (a new ATH was established not so long ago) & total number of active masternodes (current 4923 / max 4969, indicating a healthy level of longterm investors)
& total number of active addresses (higher then LTC and Bitcoin Cash) & number of integrations during this bearmarket on the other hand, is clearly outperforming other altcoins.

Links :

https://bitinfocharts.com/comparison/dash-hashrate.html#3m
https://bitinfocharts.com/comparison/activeaddresses-bch-ltc-dash.html#3m

Which should give confidence that Dash can beat this bearmarket and has the ability to recover from it. It just requires patience.

Why keeps falling to XMR? This is also an anonymous coin with the removal from some of the exchanges, especially since it was not added to the Coinbase

https://www.theblockcrypto.com/linked/36320/poloniex-exchange-removing-23-crypto-trading-pairs-citing-low-volume

Quote
Cryptocurrency exchange Poloniex is today removing 23 trading pairs of cryptocurrencies due to “low volume.”

The pairs include litecoin (LTC)/ monero (XMR), DASH/XMR, Zcash (ZEC)/XMR and Civic (CVC)/ ether (ETH), among others, as announced on Twitter on Thursday.

There was never much volume in that chart and Poloniex already delisted that Dash/XMR pair, i'm not sure why that chart still exist on cryptowat.ch and why people still use it.

DASH/XMR pair on Poloniex :

November 1, 2019 is close. Russia will be disconnected from the world Internet

The exchanger is still available, but what will happen after 1.11.2019?
Access to the exchanges will be closed. Keep DASH in the wallet.dat wallet dashcore-0.14.0.3-win64-setup.exe

I installed dashcore 0.14.0.3, imported private key, but balance zero shows what to do?

Try re-index ?

Dash Complies with the Financial Action Task Force (FATF) Guidelines Including the ‘Travel Rule’

https://blog.dash.org/dash-complies-with-the-financial-action-task-force-fatf-guidelines-including-the-travel-rule-a4c658efc89d

This is a clear and nicely written official Dash summary that can easily be referenced in those situations when questions arise from crypto users about
Dash compliance to FATF guidelines and the 'Travel Rule'. I have bookmarked it for possible future reference.

Thank you Dash Compliance team (and of course Omar Hamwi) for writing it.

For those in need :

I must not fear.
Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear.
I will permit it to pass over me and through me.

Where the fear has gone there will be nothing.
Only I will remain.

The dump to the low $7400 range was exspected by many traders for some time now, good to see it happen this fast instead of having it dragged out.
Now we just have to wait for the rebound (assuming $7400 holds) and see at which price point Bitcoin stabilizes.

Edit : $7412 on Bitstamp just now

$7451 on Bitstamp .. lets see if that was the bottom or not.

Dash will be standard app in smartphones?

Dash Core v1.0 (scheduled for testnet end of december 2019) will be supported on current mobile wallet apps of Android and iOS.
The Dash Evolution wallet app DashPay that was originally announced as a separate wallet app, will instead be supported directly on existing mobile native wallets.

Link : https://www.dash.org/forum/threads/dashpay-will-be-built-into-the-existing-native-mobile-wallets-on-android-and-ios.48201/

This is a technical change from javascript based mobile wallet support to native based mobile wallet support. The reason for this is because native mobile wallets
showed sufficient native library support for Dash Core v1.0 and demonstrated they can handle it.

Choosing Proof of Stupidity (PoS) as name, and then also proving it.
I like it.

Just a few more trolling posts like that, and you will reach the first step in a long process of trying to get inside our heads.

Edit : Oh dear, PoS looks tired already. I'm not sure he will make it to that first step  Undecided
