1481  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How Altcoins Failed To Win Over Bitcoin on: July 18, 2020, 03:40:00 PM
The worst and most annoying thing about Altcoins is still the problem of all these scam projects.
So many inexperienced people have already lost millions and billions to scumbags like this...
Just because of that, I wouldn't always believe everything...

PS: I am curious what else will come to light in the near future at Chainlink...

At all it looks more like that things not are going so well internally...

Hey guys.

First of all, I've received an email today that had some interesting content:

Quote:

Zeus Capital, the asset management firm and activist investor, has published an extensive report on LINK, Chainlink’s proprietary token, making a clear case why investors should exit long positions in this cryptocurrency, as the inflated price is enormously out of sync with the company’s dressed-up appearance and shaky fundamentals.

The report unveils serious discrepancies between the token’s intrinsic value of USD 0.07 and its current market price of USD 8.50, revealing downside risk in excess of 99%.
After research of Chainlink, there is a very strong conviction that the company, its product, and the LINK token are a near-complete fraud.

Here are the key facts of the short sale thesis:

There is abundant evidence of market manipulation with traits of classic “pump and dump” techniques, such as trading on inside information, front-running the general public, unsubstantiated claims of progress, artificial transactions to imitate adoption, bogus partnerships announcements, and any other trick in the book to drive up the price prior to dumping LINK onto innocent investors.
The two founders behind Chainlink, are constantly selling LINK from their vast reserves into the market, as well as at a substantial discount from the current price to selected institutions over-the-counter (OTC), thus incentivizing purchasers to lock in profits by quickly selling it further, creating an inevitable downward spiral.

LINK’s characteristics, such as the lack of a functional decentralized ecosystem, combined with recent decisions by the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), leave no doubt that LINK will be classified as a security token, thereby putting the whole enterprise and the investors at substantial risk of anything from dealing in unregistered securities to court orders for the disgorgement of proceeds.
LINK’s tokenomics model is broken with an inherent conflict of interest between holders, clients, and the founding team with regards to the pricing of LINK.

The people behind the project are a handful, mostly remote, part-time consultants, focused on marketing and community building with very little professional and/or leadership experience.
It begs the question of how an overdressed oracle-development project could justify a market cap in excess of $2.75 billion while purporting made-up progress with almost no IT software developers on its staff and fronting business operations out of a co-working space.

Chainlink’s service offering is prohibitively expensive and it makes no economic sense for companies to adopt its oracle solutions.
MakerDAO, UniSwap, Compound, etc. are internally-developing alternatives, which will eventually render the promise of LINK obsolete.
The few software developers associated with the project are making frequent but cosmetic changes to the code in a never-ending product beta, while executives who previously took the bait are either fleeing the project or trying to avoid association with it.

Three independent valuation methods suggest that the token is massively overpriced, as its intrinsic value is estimated to be in the 0.05 to 0.20 USD range at best.

1482  Economy / Gambling / Re: CRYPTOLOTTOSTORE.COM - Global lotto betting for cryptocurrency on: July 18, 2020, 03:13:27 PM
Here's what we have right now - At the moment, new players can get $5 worth of tickets absolutely free without purchase simply by entering FREE5 in the Voucher area.  We allow one account per person in order to ensure it's not abused though obviously.
I just created an anonymous account today, I would like to try to play with this voucher first and test but the transaction failed. "This voucher is already expired."

It is clear that the promo is over as the promo code is already expired.
Seems that the promo code valid for specific period of time only (maybe a week or several days) so you are too late for it.
Or probably the promo is ended because there was a big abuse since it is free money to buy lottery tickets with a chance to win more money.

Yes, this Promo is over!

But you can still use the 20% Bonus, for your FIRST Deposit on CryptoLottoStore...

Also einfach die Augen offen halten... Smiley

Wink

They online and make some update on the twitter about CSGO at 15 Jully 2020.

I think the victim already can put them flag since there is no reponds at all from them but they can make some update for their social media on twitter. Creating a flag and inform them on twitter will make them online maybe XD.

In any case, a most unusual behavior from Cyber.Bet...
The flag you mentioned was already created today! It would be very helpful from you, if you would support them.

I'm in contact with the scammed victim. He's asking for help from anyone who might be able to contribute to the investigation. In which part ever, you're welcome!

He also wants me to create the flag for him. (in his name, so to speak)
As you can see, he has already supported the flag himself:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=trust;flag=2147
And hereby expressly once again I ask everyone with a high member rank, and especially DT1 Trusted, to support this flag!

If this flag should prove to be wrong, I will of course also take care of the clarification of the flag...

We were just talking about this just now...

You're gonna get exactly one thing: NOTHING!!!

CYBER BET IS REALLY SCAMMING ME!~
Has the operator contacted you?
But I can hardly imagine, otherwise there would have been a change of scenery here too.

For this case I would definitely be in favour of a flag!
Since 10 days no longer logged in here, and also no other kind of response to you...
Would you like me to set the flag for you, or you like to do it yourself?
There is no good signs from cyber.bet, seems that they have run away already. To be honest I'm a bit shocked why cyber.bet did something bad like this while they had just stopped their signature campaign few days before this issue happened. Logically it does not worth to scam above user as the initial deposit was $30 only unless cyber.bet did the same thing for many users.
It seems that it is now the right time for OP to create the flag then ask some DT users to tag cyber.bet so no more users get scammed by this site.

It all looks a lot like it, although I can't understand it either...
Even less can I understand, why no other players report here, who also play on the site, or at least have ever played there!

But I being in contact with the victim, and he also just reconfirmed to me, that he had not received any further replies, neither in e-mail messages nor in messages in the Bitcointalk forum here.

He has asked for help because so far no progress has been made!
If any of you have an idea that can help him get his money back, you are always welcome!
He also wants me to create the flag for him (in his name, so to speak):
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=trust;flag=2147
I ask you everyone to participate in supporting this flag!
If there are new, exonerating findings, I am of course responsible to delete the flag...

I am still around! I will not go into any details about my financial state but I will say I trust FreeBitco.in greatly as evidenced by my past volume. They have been around a long time and have built that reputation of being honest.

Oh, I've activated someone, after two months!
Since I already mentioned the topic "stupid" in my last post, I can completely understand and I think the value you place on anonymity is very good...
Apart from the caution against, for example, government entities, what does it matter to anyone what I have in my bank account or what my full name really is?
As well, what do I care about what YOU have on your bank account or what YOUR full name is?

Absolutely right, NOTHING! Great attitude...

What I really wanted to say, (and this is really just my guess based on your writing style and your attitude here in the forum) that even after the big loss, you're still okay.
There are people who would have jumped from the nearest rooftop...

Personally congratulations to the enviable win and also my condolences for the following loss...

It was posted quite a while back, but here it is:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=320959.msg54357571#msg54357571

Thank you for that!

Oh man, he just lost everything again.
I mean, really good for FreeBTCitco.in, but really unbelievable

Still, I have to say that I don't think he's a person who's been hurt really badly by his loss
You can read from the undertone, that he's got enough money, i think...
Besides, who parks please his WHOLE money on a platform and gambles with it? That would be really stupid!

@OP does the last winner collected the Lamborghini Huracan or $200,000 in BTCTC ?
The winner themself answered that in this thread at the time.

Hi @Quinn.

Could you perhaps, for the curious among us, provide a link to this entry by the winner?

That would be really great from you...

I wish you all the best

It would be nice to help, but the thing is how especially now cases are still rising and we can't make sure on a way to help them. I do still hope some organizations that are willing to do some extra risks will help them out.

Putting this thread up on the list.

I think it might be a good idea to offer alternate crypto-currency donations...

In Litecoin, for example, I currently have so much left over that I could arrange a small donation...
It's always just a bit cumbersome (especially for the "newbies") with the swap and the stock exchanges want to have a high fee on BTC payouts, when paying out to your wallet!

Specially I think of Litecoin, Ethereum and Dogecoin...

Hahahaha, ja genau so!  Grin Ich musste herzlich lachen...

Einfach immer wieder neue Ziele setzen...
Smiley

*Sarkasmus an

He is a scammer. The seed does not equal any of the higher win numbers. Also, he should have taken 20 Bucks for his fake, als 200 is way less probable, but still does not give you more than the 5 bucks bonus.
Hence he didn't get $5. I don't why they bother trying to fake it because we obviously check that they actually rolled it in their account. People could just post other peoples screenshots and seeds otherwise.

After a little research, I've to say that there is something really wrong here.
For example, if you just skim the posts from the last 2 months, with the $200 winnings, you can see a certain pattern... (see below)

It is simply everywhere the same link to the winning seeds!
Quite simply and quickly recognizable, by the number -296 at the end of the link.

But I really don't know, what they get out of it...
I'd actually be interested in that as well...
