1721  Economy / Economics / Re: Legalizing Bitcoin on: October 30, 2017, 05:35:12 AM
So in the most countries, bitcoin is neither declared legal or illegal. In some it is declared illegal and some are actually allowing it and also promoting their own alts.
So what would a government needs to do to regulate bitcoin in the country? And how can a government actually benefit from legalizing bitcoin in the country? How can it actually support the economic system of the country.

The same situation is in my country, If they declare Bitcoin as Legal then they can get good income through Tax and trading commission. Apart from that their is service tax in my country for trading so they can gain that also.

Realistically though, it is extremely difficult for any country to reliably trace Bitcoin enough to be able to tax everyone that uses it.
I do agree with you. There would be a lot of process before bitcoin will become legal in ones country, so therefore it has to be analyze carefully and it does need the participation of the users before imposing some rules and regulations, it will be also hard for the users much likely when the taxes will be implemented.
1722  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: Bakit and ibang tao scam ang tingin nila sa BITCOIN on: October 29, 2017, 09:53:15 AM
1723  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin fees make me angry on: October 29, 2017, 07:26:17 AM
I don't know but i have seen some sites, exchanges and wallets that has cheap transaction fees, but either if it we don't have much choice once we are using those service providers, not unless they are doing something fishy behind us, then we don't need to use it further.
1724  Economy / Economics / Re: Is an economy without physical money safe for the poorest? on: October 29, 2017, 05:49:25 AM
Imagine the situation in which we don't have any physical money and every currency is digitalized. The US dollar is now a token, the Japanese Yen is only in the network and the British pound is a fast-moving digital coin. What are the consequences of such an economy for the poorest of the population? Do you think that a few people can influence the digital wealth of people and wouldn't hackers be the best people to have as friends?

I think it's not good because people who are poor wouldn't have access on cryptocurrency, which means there are no means for them to purchase or get any amount of it. I really think that it's still best to have fiat money even though crpytocurrency is convenient to use.
I have the same sentiment about this topic. I just want to add about the security of these people, unlike wealthy people that can provide themselves more security. How about common people that will use digital currency, they would need devices and this devices will be the target of snatchers, robbers etc.

It doesn't change the fact that there are still poor people in the economy. So what if there is digital currency? as expected that only for those people who can afford, are the ones shifting their assets and their money to digital currency, and how about those who can't? Yes its tragic but that is reality that it doesn't change, unless you will find your way to get out of poverty in a healthy way.
1725  Local / Altcoin Announcements (Pilipinas) / Re: PH[ANN][ICO]🌟MAKAKUHA NG 3 TOKENS PARA SA 1—Nimfamoney—CRYPTOLENDING PLATFORM on: September 29, 2017, 06:35:07 PM

1726  Economy / Economics / Re: Being a Smart Person or Strategic on: September 26, 2017, 04:21:45 PM
Is it enough to be smart with just nothing to lean on and go on with your life? Because i feel that there are a lot of people who doesn't know how to handle their money with regards to see in the future. Is it enough to be smart and not be strategical or somewhat a person who has a lot of experience. Who would you choose?

For me it is required to be a master of both things like of course you can not have experience if you are not going to try and some people would think it's a waste of their time if they are doing what they know already like repeating their work over and over again. So it should be in a balance.
Yes its should be balance. You must be strategic and smart as the sams time. Being smart will make things easier for you to understand because if you are not smart it will be hard for you. Being startegic is also you need to become wise all the time and to know how to handle your money correctly. It will be nonsense even you are smart if you dont know how to used it well. You must be strategic in order for you to be ready for your future life.
I don't know why you are separating the two when they actually are the same thing. Because a strategist is smart just by doing plan of action. I wouldn't even call a person smart without even doing any kind of plan for their objective as it is really not doing anything for them. Look at how businesses grow the businessmen behind it are really smart people with all of their strategies and even if they have weaknesses they know how to have other people to help them.
Maybe the author or the creator of this thread was thinking about academic achievements which makes a certain person smart. If it does then maybe some person are ruling on those fields, but in reality and in life you are both, wise or strategic at the same time smart person. Those qualities are applied together, while problems cannot be solve by just overthinking, it needs some kind of move and not all the time planning will do. There are also situations that you need to move while you were uncertain, that's what we called gamble in life.
1727  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: Anung masasabi niyo dito? Wala daw tayong alam sa Bitcoin on: September 19, 2017, 05:31:14 AM
1728  Economy / Economics / Re: China closes exchanges on: September 18, 2017, 03:06:50 PM
Yes it's good news for the rest world because there will be no fluctuation in the market anymore and we can just grab huge volume in the rest time. They used to be bad guys in this movie, no offence by the way but that was reality. They did the manipulation to bitcoin many times which we have witnessed in the past. At least there won't be anything like that happening real time sooner or later.

Licensing I think has its advantages and disadvantages, it will off lead to monitoring which might be good people in the business genuinely and not to manipulate. Also, on the other hand , it will emerge new era for bitcoin business and cryptos which might either be good or negative, maybe leading us to what we know of paper money.
I think so too. I know there will be sprouting businesses related to bitcoin in the next months or years maybe, they have seem to saw an opportunity and does took advantage to it. Also it is good to hear but sadly for the chinese investors but we still not know that yet, and we cannot predict what will happen.
1729  Economy / Economics / Re: 1Bitcoin as a gift from someone on: September 08, 2017, 03:23:51 PM
If i will be given that amount probably I'll take half and invest it to something else, then the other half would be depending on the situation my occur, its because we may not know what is ahead of us so it would be better to have some spare rather than having nothing in the end.
1730  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin digital gold or digital cash? on: September 08, 2017, 06:52:29 AM
It's a temporary store of value and a speculative asset.

I don't think it can be called a true store of value unless it maintains 4 digits for 4 years or something because after the 2013 4 digit slam down to 200-300 usd I think anyone who sees it as a true store of value is clueless.

Yes, Bitcoin is relatively stable due to market interest but longterm is a continual unknown.
Well as for me should I say both can do, nothing is for sure but in a long run also I can say it is also one of the best assets to be stored, I didn't even used it as for my day to day currency and in daily transactions, but who knows maybe someday we can officially use it.
1731  Economy / Economics / Re: Factors That Make One Cryptocurrency Worth More Than Another on: September 07, 2017, 02:29:36 PM
The strength of the community becomes very important, we all know that the bitcoin community is very strong amongst others so bitcoin is at the forefront. but I'm sure someday there will be better cryptocurrency than bitcoin.
Totally it depend on the acceptance of the community, of what they are preferred to invest or used. A lot of altcoins exist nowadays, is just a competition among others the one who have a great value, the one will survive and be on top. But we can't predict which one of them because every time there's always a change in price at the market.
The worth of a coin depends on the community. It totally depends on the users of the coin and its market demand. If people are not interested in the project, the value will definitely drop leading to the failure of the project. Altcoins are new in the crypto world; they really need time to develop themselves in this market.
Yes that is true, and besides it also really matters on how the projet goes, and it also matters on what is going on even if the coin was already in the market, for example updates and good news, that also affects the price of the coin, and most importantly what the coin offers or why do investors have to invest in that product, is it that interesting? Worth it? Or what is its uses and purpose.
1732  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is it technically possible to ban Bitcoin in a particular country? on: September 07, 2017, 10:52:57 AM
Yes it can be possible. The government has the rights to ban whatever they saw that is against in their own means, and sometimes they just don't want something that could threaten them or maybe something they saw that can compete in terms of power, also in order for them to remain in position that no one could oppose them or maybe it could lead that people using bitcoin are rebels as they can see it is illegal, that is only how I see if it would be banned.
1734  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Wallet on: September 07, 2017, 06:55:26 AM
I have a Bitcoin wallet through an exchange, can I have a wallet not attached to an exchange? or multiple wallets? if the exchange has problems = I have problems Sad
Yes, and you're right its the same if you have a web wallet so I recommend that use a mobile wallet like Mycelium, desktop wallet like electrum or a hardware wallet like ledger nano s tho and trezor tho you have to buy the hardware wallets first. I'm assure you that this wallets are the safest one. Look here https://bitcoin.org/en/choose-your-wallet
To tell you honestly its uo to you to decide, try to find some local bitcoin wallet users, or ask some of your friends who are using some bitcoin wallets in your local area, because sometimes there are also bitcoin wallets that are only best for your own area, or sometimes there are also an offer bitcoin wallet available in your own country, but what he said is also recommendable and working too.
1735  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Future of Blockchain? on: September 07, 2017, 04:44:43 AM
What do you think is future of Blockchain technology? Where do you see this in next 8-10 years?
Governments and big banks including visa is already researching on implementation of blockchain technology in their existing system to make them more secure and reliable so I think within next decade we will see blockchain tech being used in every systems to make it fast, reliable and secure including ticketing service, book keeping, atms, data storage, hosting, marketplace and many more.

If you are asking for bitcoin than story can be quite different and nobody can predict what will happen to bitcoin in next 8-10 years.
I certainly agree with you, I still doubt that the Government will just be sitting and just sucking their thumbs watching all over us doing nothing. I know someday they would make their move and i think as of now they spreading some scouts all over this economy and is conducting survey on us, just guessing but i think that is how the Government play their card.
1736  Economy / Economics / Re: Government & Bitcoin on: September 07, 2017, 04:08:05 AM
Government won't have no choice than to accept the new digital currency. Btc would even help people to get out of poverty line. Thus,  the government should look for measures to incorporate bitcoin in their financial activities.
They do not care Bitcoin or cryptocurrency can help poor people get out of poverty or not. The thing they need from Bitcoin is taxes fees it, if cannot do that, they never accept Bitcoin for make them loss tax fees from people in their country. Tongue
That is why it is very important to develop trade with bitcoins. Such transactions do not fall under laws and can help us to avoid accusations of concealment of income. Someday the government will fight bitcoin and we need this to be ready

I don't think it is feasible right now (if ever)

Governments have a multitude of ways to force both merchants and producers to use their own currency, i.e. fiat. If you come to think that buying things with bitcoins will somehow help Bitcoin adoption in the real economy, then you are delusional. The absolute majority of merchants allegedly accepting Bitcoin now don't in fact need crypto altogether, so they use payment processors like BitPay to receive cash immediately after you place an order and pay with your coins. If we resolve all technical issues like slow confirmation times and insane transaction fees (i.e. make Bitcoin competitive with fiat), the only way I see Bitcoin adopted as a full-fledged means of payment is when the local currency of some country gets completely destroyed like it happened in Zimbabwe to the Zimbabwean dollar
I totally agree with you even though I am not very much particular about what happened in Zimbabwe. I think that is the only way bitcoin will be fully pledge legalize in some countries, but it seems that the Government really see bitcoin as their enemy or they have seen competition behind, and I am pretty sure the Government already are discussing this topic since before, and they wouldn't make a move that could trigger them or they doesn't benefit at all.
1737  Economy / Economics / Re: The phrase to describe Bitcoin on: September 06, 2017, 02:24:08 PM
In this phrase is how I explain Bitcoin in all senses.

"Bitcoin is the most free and pure form of a crowd-economy, free from the oppression of governments."

Free from government oppression-yes,but not free from miners,"hard fork supporters",big holders trying to manipulate the market price and "off-chain" supporters.I think the term "crowd-economy" is meaningless, what are you trying to say with this?Every economy is a "crowd economy".Obviously we need people (crowd) to have an economy.
Maybe he wanted to say that it is people currency meant to be ruled by people. We all know that all other state currencies are not in the control of common man whereas bitcoins provide everyone with same opportunity of earning profits. Bitcoins provide complete freedom to the users.

Probably the post really would mean the general and with the most people in it and thats the community. I kind of like this idea because most issues in this community is how the government could handle or manipulate btc users in there own economy. Not totally free in some countries but at least it is not easy for the for an entity to control btc.
I guess early adapters has the advantage when it comes to the market and I think those late adapters would be the ones suffering if what you have said is true about someone whose manipulating or behind the prices. Anyway there are so many possibilities that can happen, maybe those late adapters may surpass those early birds i think.
1738  Other / Off-topic / Re: Bitcoin or other coins on: September 06, 2017, 06:24:56 AM
what make bitcoin better and incomparable to the other cryptocoins  ?
nothing bad for to invest in other cryptocins i think for now cryptocoin goes dump but i believe in the near future cryptocoin goes uprise like the father of all coins the bitcoin sometimes goes down and if the bitcoin go uprrise the value are very nice increase, so you can invest also in bitcoin for at the lower price value because bitcoin now are currently dip but i believe bitcoin uprise again. both are good invesment but you need to decide what is the best for you.
There is really nothing wrong trying to risk, and I guess the OP really doesn't understand what's the difference between other cryptos and bitcoin, well as for me just stop comparing it, they have different functions and uses and most importantly each of them has specific purpose, it is just that bitcoin is the main head of the family that's all.
1739  Other / Politics & Society / Re: What is the Meaning of Sin? on: September 04, 2017, 05:43:21 AM
Somebody Say if we commit sin we will be also belong to the the Wrath of GOD and we will not be having eternal Life?
"Somebody" is trying to threaten you into joining their religion, where you will be brainwashed into doing ridiculous things for the amusement of their leader, including abetting their criminal actions, all the while paying money (which they call a "tithe") for the whole experience. Unfortunately, judging from your post history, it looks like they've succeeded. Hopefully it's not too late for you to try to escape.
You don't have to panic if I were you, besides if you are really a true believer of faith, you wouldn't be corrupted or poisoned easily by those ideas that they forced you to learn, you have your own faith, trust it, the world is so vast and yet you meet so many people all the way, if they keep convincing you that you are wrong and you are a sinner then nevermind them, if they tell you that you are one, then how much more are they?
1740  Economy / Economics / Re: Some things to consider before starting a business on: September 01, 2017, 07:21:32 AM
Thanks for this shares of a well-organized tips on how to start a business. Have copied in my notes for reference and also for study purposes. It is not an easy thing to do business but with determination and adaptation to what is trend it will be starting point on that journey.

I want to be called as businessman someday. A well respected one not the scam entrepreneur. If I have enough capital I would start one on small scale first. I have an eye for a bitcoin related business someday.
There is nothing more beneficial than having your own business. This is a very good approach to start the business on a small scale and then increasing the scale of your business from time to time. But before putting your head in any sort of stuff, you need to know about that especially in case of Bitcoins. Only then you can get what you aimed for.
Indeed! In today’s world where everything is hell expensive, you can’t move in few steps with empty pockets. Money is needed for each and everything that we want whether it is good education, a safe home etc. private business is the best option to meet your all needs but again we need to know all details of anything we are setting up as a business whether they are bitcoins or something else.
Precisely! The problem here and out is all about money, and as you have said even education already has a price, and if you would sum up it would only end up having trouble with money. For now it is really wiser you have business while you still have money and it would be really nice before having business is that learn more and study the details about what you are going to build as business.
