1681  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO]HoweyCoins: the only BitcoinTalk-endorsed ICO - GUARANTEED PROFIT on: May 23, 2020, 06:00:25 PM
I saw HoweyCoins' WhitePaper.

Me too. Very impressive.  Shocked

Seeing is believing.  Now I suggest you read the White Paper, the answers to all your questions can be found within.  Don't forget to read all the way to the end, there's some hidden information that will help you immensely with your decision.

I agree with you! It will change your life... The world view will change for you. Absolutely EVERYTHING will change!  Wink
1682  Economy / Services / Re: Bitcointalk Charity Program Signature Campaign - Give Hope To Everyone... on: May 22, 2020, 10:07:22 PM
That's what I call a meaningful project!

With all the money-hungry signature campaign hunters, you can now also see that there are some people who also think of other people and want to help...

Instead of always only looking at your own profit.

That's nice to see... Thanks for that!
1683  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Did Satoshi just moved his coins? on: May 22, 2020, 09:52:21 PM
For my one I am just gonna sit back and relax.  Cool

I will no longer expect a serious loss here anyway.
It's all too big for that, and as I said before, why would Satoshi destroy his masterpiece?

I just can't imagine that after all these years of success!

This was block number 3654

this link shows  blocks 3621 to 3700

It would be interesting to check the status of these 80 blocks.

so  some of these blocks have been moved.

the market won't crash over this and only morons would panic sell.

A very interesting research.

But to express my guess, I think Satoshi would use his Bitcoins for charity at most! (if he still has control over it)
I don't think Satoshi would want to harm his work in the slightest.

I would speculate on an early adopter of the first hours.

The field can definitely be narrowed down, but I don't think anyone can tell for sure who made this transaction! Unless the sender reveals himself...

But even this mere speculation about this is fun!
1685  Local / Deutsch (German) / Re: [Neue Auswertungen] Wir deutschsprachigen und die Merits ... on: May 20, 2020, 10:29:23 PM

Viele Grüße an alle hier

1686  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Best way to cash in physical BTC coins? on: May 18, 2020, 12:57:47 AM
My account on this forum ended up getting compromised and permabanned, because someone got access to my account and started doing who knows what.  I asked for a reinstatement of my old account but that never got me anywhere.
A lot has changed, try one more time: Recovering hacked/lost accounts

Also, as these are older BTC coins, I know they can also be redeemed for bitcoin cash, bitcoin gold, and all the other BTC hard forks since.  Does anyone know of any easy methods to redeem so many different coins?

LoyceV's Bitcoin Fork claiming guide (and service)
  • Read the second post on that thread if you want him to do it.

Maybe I will try and sell them here, if I end up being able to get 10% premium, that's an extra BTC for me!!
Depending on your location and courier of your choice, you might have a similar experience to this guy: Postage announcement regarding packages sent by Royal Mail

I quite agree with you!

I myself got my account back about a week ago.
It was hijacked in 2017 by the well-known data leak.

Of course I hadn't expected to ever get my account back, especially not after 2 years had passed.
But then I came across this thread by a perfect coincidence:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5089777.0

In Fact you need some legitimation data to prove that you are the real owner.

But what I want to get rid of is the outdated and still common assumption that it is only possible if you signed a BTC address before and immortalized it here in the forum.

That is simply not right! Without question, this is the easiest and least complicated way.

In my case it worked, because I had enough data to legitimize my ownership.

I can only advise you to try it! I think the odds are good!

Good luck!  Wink
1687  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [VLX] Velas AIDPoS blockchain from the creator of Coinpayments on: May 17, 2020, 05:33:38 PM
Coinmarketcap now has circulating supply listed for Velas!

I currently own this coin in my portfolio!

Of course I have researched about it before i made an investment!
And came across some interesting facts.

But I don't want to anticipate anything here!  Why I can only recommend to everyone who is interested to use the search engine and do some research on their own.

I think this is essential before I even invest in a project!

My gut feeling hasn't let me down this time either and the coin has increased in value by more than 50% within the last month.  Nice!  :-)

My recommendation is that you should definitely keep an eye on this coin if you are interested in diversifying your portfolio.

This is not a buy recommendation!

Which is why I would like to emphasize again: If you are interested, please do your own research!

So I discovered this thread and I was like:

1689  Local / Deutsch (German) / Re: bitcointalk.org Account gehackt on: May 13, 2020, 06:58:50 PM

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2142232.0

Recovering hacked/lost accounts

Grin

1690  Economy / Economics / Re: How to calculate profit on: June 24, 2018, 07:21:03 AM
it will not benefit if you sell it for the same price even you lose money because of the cost of trade.
It is really useless. Instead you will only pay for the fees and just waste your time, so better sell it on higher price so aside from you gain profit you also don't have to worry about the fee. That is why you need to be more patient in trading, because if not, you will only lose and you will regret in the end.
1691  Economy / Economics / Re: Do you spend less bitcoin/alts now? on: June 18, 2018, 10:14:58 AM
I hold bitcoin and I was thinking if it was going up I would spend some, just a little bit, as a way to cash in my profits. But with the current market I just hold, I don’t want to spend my coins at such a cheap price because it will feel like a loss to me.

Do you feel the same way? What are your thoughts?

I am in the same boat. I was actually hoping to cash out some crypto and enjoy the profits, but sadly, the huge bear market has stopped me from doing so. Cashing out crypto at this point in time seems really unwise since we are at all time lows. Imagine how you would feel if tomorrow crypto markets suddenly bounce back. Ouch.

I would rather be safe and bet on the long term value of crypto for now. The market outlook and everything else seems bullish in the long-term anyway.
For now it is not really a nice option and a bad move to do if you are in a pinch right now. I was also thinking about cashing out a little money and enjoy some of my profits but i guess i still need to hold back a little while. I'll just have to wait  a little longer, besides there is no point to rush things.
1692  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you think the top 10 coins on coinmarketcap will change during this year? on: June 17, 2018, 12:58:46 PM
Of course, but not as huge as the hidden gems with very low marketcap.

But I will be choosing one or more of the top 10 to bag for a less riskier investment.
Yeah i guess so somehow it will have some changes, besides nobody knows what will happen next year, will they remain or will be evicted. It is also hard to analyze what will be the top coins for bext year. I am also agreeing in your point to chiose some to avoid riskier investments, besides nobody would correct you if which coins you will choose and it is your money.
1693  Economy / Economics / Re: So many threads being made but most of them are rubbish. on: June 17, 2018, 07:50:47 AM
That's why you need to choose the good quality thread to read, and you need to be careful also sometimes there are so many thread are scam. So just depends on your plan.
I'm a bit curious about what you said scam thread? Is there something like that? And can you please explain it further? I am willing to read what you are trying to point out, it seems interesting to me. Although another rubbish thread has been created let us just mislead this one.
1694  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to spot a scam ? on: June 16, 2018, 12:25:17 PM
How do you guys spot scam betting sites ? Which are the red flags with those kind of sites and do you believe the rating/review sites or they are mainly paid like the ICO review sites ?
Better to play in a well known gambling sites than to take risk into new gambling site. Most probably you can easily notice it if you lose too much money on that. Reviews can be scripted so most probably don’t take this as your basis to play gambling on that site.
Yeah, playing in a well organized gambling sites can lessen the risk of being scammed but to know if its a scam or not better to read more about that site and see hows the experience of the users on that site. Don't be fall easily by the reviews or details of the gambling site its good to hear the comments of every users.

yes, it is better to play on gambling sites that we always visit than to search any new sites because it's too risky. and if you want to play in the new gambling site, you need to search on here or you need to read about the review of the site so you can know which gambling site is a scam or not. but unfortunately, I don't know which site that giving any information of recommended gambling site and the scam site.
There are plenty of sites who can be trusted when it comes to gambling, whether casino or some betting games. If you had enough research and knowledge about those sites, then you wont be easily fooled by those cheap tricks applied by fake sites. You should always do your research, find references and other feedbacks by that site you want risk money with.
1695  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: When it dips . do u buy favorite Cryptos or bitcoin on: June 14, 2018, 11:05:49 AM
Some of us have different opinions regarding what to buy when it dips. Some would prefer to buy bitcoin while other wants to buy their favorite coins. Well as for me some who wants to buy altcoins most specially when it dips are those who wanted to earn more and just bought at its low price and then sell in exchange for bitcoin, so in the end they will still hold bitcoin, but there are also some who buys altcoins for long term investment.
1696  Economy / Economics / Re: Natural money on: June 08, 2018, 07:42:00 AM
What kind of self-regulating system of taxation are you talking about? Lol. Politicians couldn't keep their hands out of the budget. What they do and politics? Maybe you believe that they go into politics to make the country better? They will never give control over taxes and nothing to even speak on this subject.
For that reason I am sure most of them will do anything in their power to maintain the current system the world uses after all, it is the most convenient system for them to be corrupt. If there would be a self regulating system of taxation, they wouldn't be able to do what they usually do. It will be hard to convince them to switch with this self regulating system because like you said they aren't in it to make the country better but to give themselves power and money.
Politicians do not disdain any methods to achieve their goals. I'm afraid that in order to prohibit the use of bitcoins, they can organize large-scale provocation. Will be implemented any large-scale terrorist attack and it will use bitcoin. Then, under the guise that it is used by terrorists he will be banned.
And by all means it really signify how terrifying the government can do based on your analogy. It is not shocking at all, because if we think about it clearly, they will really lose their power when it comes to this field, maybe they are superior enough in making laws, but in crypto, they are just mere citizens, and because of their pride and greed they will much likely use every means to provoke and prevent worst case scenarios from happening.
1697  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: coin is meaningless on: June 08, 2018, 05:41:50 AM
First of all, it will take years for a coin before an investment appreciates. Hodling a coin with a cheap price also has its advantages. It just means that the coin has a lot of room to go up. If you happen to find a coin that was on dumping price, you can purchase it after your RESEARCH proves that the coin is worth hodling. Knowing the operation and road map of the coin will also help. Price usually goes up after a milestone was completed.
I guess you have a point mate. There are also some developments that takes a long period of time before it was achieve. For some instances, the investors losses their patience and cannot hold on for too long. So in the end it will really depends on the person if he's going to hold or not, or even buy more for holdings.
1698  Economy / Economics / Re: How to calculate profit on: June 08, 2018, 04:35:44 AM

So lets say I put in $100 dollars. I buy while its at a low of $10,400. The price goes up to $10,400 and I sell. Whata my profit?

For now I recommend to be patient, if you buy for $ 10400 and sell at the current price of $ 7500 then you lose more than 25%, if you dare to take a risk then buy now certainly is the thing that can make us get big profit.
Well according to what he was saying he doesn't gain profits from that, but instead he lose from it, its because we already knew that he had to pay fees while buying and selling out his bitcoinost specially in some exchanges that has higher fees than his local wallet provider. As of now it was wise to hold on to it based on when he actually bought it.
1699  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What the effect of many of his new cryptocoin against bitcoin? on: June 07, 2018, 03:10:58 PM
the more the number of cryptocoin emerging in the crypto market would be the effect also in the reduction of bitcoin prices .. we see now that there are so many developers that make new cryptocoin, although not all its cryprocoin made in the market or can enter crypto market .. does the number of crypto be one of the effects of declining bitcoin prices?

No, it has nothing to do with it. Among the factors that influence the price of bitcoin is not the creation of new cryptocurrencies. In fact, last year many new cryptocurrencies were created and the price of bitcoin skyrocketed.
Maybe it has relevance, because before, when the alts were down, the bitcoin price rises up, or in short it is inversely proportional, and it was few years ago. Then last year was really unexpected, due to the change of phenomenon, it changes to directly proportional to it.
1700  Economy / Economics / Re: What profit has brought you to bitcoin? on: June 07, 2018, 02:16:35 PM
Honestly the title is a bit confusing, maybe it means what profit has brought or given by us through bitcoin or from bitcoin, but nevermind it depends on how we comprehend the question. Well i am not an early adopter but, since i have been in crypto, from ups and down trends of it that i have witnessed, it seriously brought me pretty serious amount of profit.
