641  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [FREE] Monero Brass Coin Giveaway on: November 29, 2016, 09:32:04 PM
Is there still coins available?

yes. There is a back log of them to go out yet.

No specified timeline on shipping.

"Soon" is the best way to describe it.

643  Economy / Collectibles / Re: ⭕️LEALANA BRASS XMR COINS FOR SALE ⭕️ on: November 19, 2016, 04:01:52 PM
I've ordered some of these coins now, and have been trying to throw together some code to be able to verify the balance of the coin.

I'm not 100% sure about how the signatures are generated and how to check them.  The code I'm using right now is taken from wallet2::import_key_images,
and I basically check using:

Code:
crypto::check_ring_signature(hash_input, key_image, pkeys, &signature)

In this case the hash_input would be the hash on the digital certificate.

Could you confirm if this is correct, Smoothie?

Looking forward to getting the coins Cheesy

Here is the original function header:
Code:
 bool crypto_ops::check_ring_signature(const hash &prefix_hash, const key_image &image,
    const public_key *const *pubs, size_t pubs_count,
    const signature *sig)

My code to sign and verify(check) is a modification of the create_ring_signature and check_ring_signature functions.

The way it works is it creates a signature of a single output and key image.

The idea is that it operates as a degenerate ring signature (only one output is used in creating the "ring signature")

There is a signature of the message between ---start--- and ---end--- tags for each key_image.

Hash is the hash of the message between start and end tags.

Excuse me if I may have posted something incorrectly, it is 5am in Hawaii.  Smiley

I may likely have to publish a copy of my code that is used to do the process.

644  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: November 17, 2016, 04:45:23 PM
is this the new exponential trend channel XMR is bound to for the next several months?

Lol these chart "patterns" get more and more ridiculous.
You should try to get into the fortune teller business.

It is called speculation for a reason.

I'm already in the physical coin making business.

What is your speculation?
645  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [FREE] Monero Brass Coin Giveaway on: November 16, 2016, 10:55:36 PM
Smoothie, do you still have these? I sent you an email but haven't heard back from you, yet.

Yes they are still available.

I won't be responding very much to emails or PMs about the giveaway given how time consuming that would be.

Once the giveaway is done I will announce it here and change the title of the thread to state such as to avoid any confusion.  Smiley
646  Economy / Collectibles / Re: Those who participated in my KAMEHAMEHA auction ... on: November 16, 2016, 10:52:32 PM
Is it just for those who won the auction ? Am I eligible if I've just placed a bid ? Thanks

Anyone who has bid when the auction was active qualifies.

Yes if you want to fund the coins  prior to shipping so that there is no "unfunded" marking that is fine. That will only make the process longer to get the coins to you.

Originally I had intended on giving the giveaway coins to you all. But if there is more demand for the coins to be loaded I will oblige.

My only request is that you be patient with me given how much I've got going on right now with the current giveaway and other sales.

If you want this with your 3 coins please let me know with your address so all the info is in one place.

 Grin
647  Economy / Collectibles / Re: Those who participated in my KAMEHAMEHA auction ... on: November 16, 2016, 08:31:12 PM
Was it both auctions, or just the one?

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1615740.40
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1615739.80

It was not announced in Auction 2 as far as I can see.  Smiley

Both

It wouldn't be fair if I only did it for one and not the other auction.
648  Economy / Collectibles / Those who participated in my KAMEHAMEHA auction ... on: November 16, 2016, 08:15:51 PM
For those who participated in my Kamehameha Auction about a 1.5 months back who wanted their 3 free brass XMR coins..

Note: This was only limited to those who participated in the two KAM auctions.

Please re-send me your shipping information via PM. I have somehow misplaced those addresses.

Thanks.
649  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: November 16, 2016, 07:57:18 PM
Most people know the GUI is coming. I can only see this drop being due to bitcoin going up, people panicking and thinking that they can buy XMR later as the GUI is coming in 1-2 weeks.

In my case I will be buying some in this turmoil Smiley

The perception that the GUI will make the price go higher is only true in the short and long term pictures.

Initial spike makes sense, but what really matters is the longer term adoption that allows monero's price to grow.

In the medium term, who knows what will happen.

And also who knows how much of the "GUI" has been priced in to the price already since it is common knowledge ahead of time much like bitcoin block halving is known ahead of time.
650  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: November 16, 2016, 07:32:25 PM
Anyone recall how alts did during the last major Bitcoin rally years ago? Specifically, did they start to rise as along with Bitcoin as part of the blockchain awareness wave grew?

I know Litecoin moved in tandem with Bitcoin, just don't remember if others eventually did too.

Initially as bitcoin rose, all alts fell until a breaking point where all alts shot up.

Not sure if this time around it will be the same thing. Who knows.

..
I can't get butthurt I have nothing but dust. I'm pissed that those loans protect shorters and hurt the ecosystem.

please explain how they hurt the ecosystem  in your view Huh

a healthy lending market does nothing but support the ecosystem, since it enables a variety if financial strategies and tools (e.g. hedging) for all market participants.

you seem confused really. protecting shorters? we make shorting possible in the first place. if they get rekt by doing so is not my decision.

It can be used to dump which shakes confidence and weak hands follow that trend, it hurts the coin. Most people don't check to see whats being lent when they are watching a dump and panicking. I understand your only motive is profit so whatever. If you really wanted to help liquidity you wold put those coins on other exchanges and set up some trading bots.

You have to look at it from both sides.

Shorters are also in a sense providing liquidity to buyers.

Allowing more participants is a good thing even if it goes against your bias in the markets.
653  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [FREE] Monero Brass Coin Giveaway on: November 14, 2016, 04:30:02 PM
Another batch of international giveaway coins will be shipped out tomorrow HST.

Thank you to all whom confirmed receiving the coin you were sent.  Smiley
654  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: ⭕️[FREE] Monero Brass Coin Giveaway on: November 12, 2016, 04:27:40 AM
so is there any list who will got the coin ?

No. If you sent an email then you should get a coin at some point. No promises on timing given how many I am sending out on top of regular coin orders I am obligated to ship out.

Simply put: If you send me an email with your info and your address allows first class USPS shipments, it will ship out at some point.
655  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: November 12, 2016, 01:23:32 AM
the stat on the right just overlapped the KNC thread..

Stats are favorable for Monero all around...

@Smoothie, Thanks man! Received the Coin today. Smiley
awesome thanks for confirming.
657  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: November 10, 2016, 03:38:45 PM
attention, despite the fact that his last public call was apparently spectacularly wrong.

Check it out yourself. It was in FACT totally correct. I was the only whale calling bullshit on the whole rise, and predicted the fall to 0.01 and now I am predicting touching 0.004-0.005, not religiously, but as a trading advice that will on average be profitable.

Obviously I could not have made my riches if I had been more wrong than correct over the 20 years I have invested in stock (18 years online).

You are a piece of evidence that people prefer to be influenced by 2nd hand information that includes interpretation and emotions they should feel...  Tongue

Instead of paying attention to the source.

Let me correct you here. TheKoziTwo also called something very similar during the rally.

You weren't the only one.
658  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: November 10, 2016, 03:27:30 PM
Sorry for posting the personal info here. If you want to discuss it further, there is another thread for it now, and you easily find from my post history.

As for Monero speculation, almost everything reinforces my belief that the downtrend is still upon us. The pattern of lower highs and lower lows continues.

The only thing that gives some light is the high-ish volume in the last dip (to 0.0058). If in the next dip, the volume intensifies near that level, we might form a double bottom there instead of 0.004 (which still is my primary projection, as a capitulation range, not as a target price).

0.004 would clean the air and establish the trading range to 0.004-0.010 for the time being (spring rally is only a few months away Wink ).

If no 0.004 now, then there just remains the risk that the capitulation will come later, and what is the fun with that  Cheesy

I fully agree with you. The BTC Capitulation will indeed be around 0.004-0.006 XMR.

Lol epic reply.

But.....when?  Tongue
659  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [FREE] Monero Brass Coin Giveaway on: November 10, 2016, 03:26:23 AM
Are there any more of these left?

yes
660  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [FREE] Monero Brass Coin Giveaway on: November 09, 2016, 10:57:58 PM
Same here, still haven't received them. International shipments were done last week so may take a little while. Hang in there. Wink

To be clear, not all international shipments were done (about 75 international shipped out in that first batch). Still got quite a bit to go out.

These are quite time consuming, so please be patient with me as I get around to them.

Thanks
