82  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Maximum order quantity of Antminer S9 on: January 29, 2018, 04:48:01 AM
Bitmain should lower the maximum order for their products. And it's not only for Bitmain, all miner hardware providers should do that.
I just don't understand why some people can purchase on the large scale. Some people can't get a large quantities of crypto just because they have more money to buy more stuff. It's called monopoly.
Where's the decentralized system that we shouted every day?

The large scale miners, nor Bitmain cares about that, it's just money out vs money in. It's a lot less trouble to sell 5000 units to a single partner than selling 1 unit each to 5000 people.
83  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: WTB gpu on: January 29, 2018, 04:06:47 AM
gamer here
looking for a 1080 or better, hoping a miner will sell me one, not at the current premium

thanks

I wish you luck, miners are the one buying them at a premium because of profitability/desperation.
84  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: CANADA SELLING S9 / D3 / L3+ / A3 / M3 --- INBOX / EMAIL ME on: January 29, 2018, 02:14:19 AM
I am close but those prices are nuts, especially at a 13k btc. no thanks

I would sell a A3 for $7000 cash

The same wa you tried to sell the d3 for 7000.
Glad youre down to 2000 on a D3 that cost 1400.
Can buy these for under a 1000 now  Grin
Keep ripping ppl off scum bag. Price of sia coin is falling by the day.
You'll be lucky to sell for 7000.

Asshole thinks cus he can order from Bitmain he can charge ppl 4 times the amount. Get a life.

I wouldnt mind buying a D3 for bigjee's price i got one under 1K, maybe Dash will spike back up :3

@OP if your other's ASIC go down in price i may be interested other ASIC beside a cheaper D3.

If you edit OP and click additional options you can lock the thread instead of leaving an ambiguous thread laying around.
86  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] Canaan Avalon 741 x12 on: January 29, 2018, 12:33:44 AM
Did you have a price in mind? Feel free to PM me if you want to keep the thread clean of numbers. From USA? I'm in Canada.
87  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [Maybe WTS] Tahiti/Ellesmese What are people buying these at right now? on: January 28, 2018, 11:25:12 PM
if they work ok im also considering buy all your 280x and 7950

list me price and what you got

and where are you located as i understand tahiti is the chipset Smiley

Well they mine and they keep mining. I'm surprised, considered some of them are from the Scrypt era. Many need me to clean their fans but outside the heat spike right now they were in 50s this winter, with half of them with a fan or two not working lol. It's a pain though because for summer i need to clean (all) a ton of them then, they need their fan for summer.

http://virosa.ethosdistro.com

First 4 rigs, there's two 390 in there too. I don't have a price, was more interested to see if someone would make me an offer i cannot refuse. At current rate, for 6 months they earn me roughly 360$ per GPU, 540$ per GPU for 3 Quarters. If you buy the stuff at the ridiculous price atm you're looking at 12-16 months ROI. If that. When i saw the Avalon821 at >year ROI i was like. Rrrrrright. That's an ASIC that's going to earn me jack shit. Anyways.

I'm thinking along the same lines for RX, but i'm keeping Nvidia, much less trouble Smiley

I'm a patient man willing to sell to the impatient man.
88  Economy / Computer hardware / [WTS] Tahiti/Ellesmese (280~R480-8G)What are people paying for these atm? on: January 27, 2018, 09:10:39 PM
So i'm talking 7950~280x that do 300s~ on Zcash and RX 8G that does 28-31mhs on ETH.

Consider this a request for price check, i'm looking for the upper bound.

I got a bit under 100 of these i may be willing to part with, perhaps gradually, maybe in one go.

Thanks
89  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: BRAND NEW Antminer s9 13.5TH/s with PSU on: January 27, 2018, 10:14:58 AM
Hello,

There is no problem that i can send you a picture with my bitcointalk username in front of the antminer s9's but i need to know if you are really interested. What kind of escrow are you talking about, please be more specific. write me an email or message enerelt@gmail.com

He means a trusted forum member to whom he will send the fund to so he doesn't incur the risk of you running with off with his money. You may want to post a link to that picture if you want the people in this forum to not deal with you in a hostile fashion.
90  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Ducting on: January 25, 2018, 07:26:34 PM
Nice, someone doing it the right way. Just Kudos. I was just trying to explain this to someone else earlier today, it's like trying to reason with an hysterical kangaroo. Let me try this new merit thing on you. Edit: Seem like i can't send much but i did. Anyways, Good Job.
91  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: RX580 1080 in stock on: January 25, 2018, 05:51:38 PM
Can you post all the details on including the size of each per rx580 you have and proof that you already had those? That's a lot and I doubt it that you have that 200 stock now. Here in my country, there's no more stock found as there are too many miners that will buy it immediately when they found out there's one on a stall and they have contacts on it.

And you posted 2 threads including this one that you must delete https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2821906.msg28903926#msg28903926

sorry, I'm not here to prove for every person. If your country doesn't have any in stock doesn't mean entire world doesn't have it. And I'm not even sure if you want to buy or not. we are established business(printing) for last 15 years and we are only doing bank transactions.

If you need the cards, I'll provide my cell phone number via DM and we can talk.

I couldn't find a way to delete other thread, if you could provide me instructions, I'm happy to do it

Where are you in Canada? I'm in Canada and i Travel some.
92  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [Moscow,Russia,USA, Europe] Selling ASIC antminers S9, L3+, D3 with original p on: January 25, 2018, 11:50:00 AM
Shilling depends on the country

Yep, maybe you'd like to bring in a shill or two?
93  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Fake PWM fan reader in latest Bitmain FW. on: January 25, 2018, 11:49:05 AM
Hi All,

I have an issue. The 6000rpm fan is malfunctioning on my Antminer D3. I replaced it with a much better fan with better CFM but with lover rpm speed and and kernel is complaining about the "fan speed too low" and it can't start mining cuz of that. IS there any way to trick or to adjust the threshold for RPM limit or so?

Any help is appreciated....

I don't know if they added another level of verification, but on my S5, i was able to bypass this by setting fan speed to like 10%, then the low RPM made sense for the miner and it started mining fine. If it doesn't read any RPM that might be a problem.
94  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Using a Grow Tent for a mining rig cooling case? on: January 25, 2018, 11:45:28 AM
You guys talk allot about venting. Did you ask what the what the CF is inside of the grow tent? Or wait did you even ask how much BTU my rigg puts out.

Yea because each card puts out the same amount of heat because it draws the same exact amount of power as well. ROFL

First off get your calculations, numbers dont lie, people do.

And Virosa were you high when you wrote that? Grin IT DOESNT MATTER IF YOU ASIC DRAWS IN HOT AIR?!?   OMG, the knowledge right now is outstanding. Shocked

and PS. all the miners and GPU is vented out (3) 12 inch inline 1500 CFM duct fans directly outside.

I CLEARLY STATED IN THE VIDEO THIS WAS A TEST TO SEE HOW THE RIG HANDLED THE QUICK SETUP I PUT TOGETHER, AND THAT I WOULD MODIFY IT.

Cryptowatcher your just a hater  Grin Wink Lets see your rigs and designs. And guess what I wont say they suck because I am not that type of person.

Yes in an average sized bedroom at 20c Ambiant with a fair sized window opened and another window as intake, you can have a gpu rig heating the room and then the asic dumping their hot air outside directly. For 1 kW (my rig TDP size) the intake for the ASICs won't even be 1C higher. You just need a good metal fan as exhaust. In a room with 150 GPUs, then yes, it does matter. I think you said you had 12 runnings at the time...?

Finally do you only have 3 * 1500 CFM inline as exhaust TOTAL? That is not much, especially since they fight against pressure, so in reality it's much less as well hard to say, you do not talk about size of intake for outside air. You also seem more inclined to resort to trolling than intelligent remarks, hrmm..
95  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Mining containers static electricity on: January 25, 2018, 06:23:11 AM
It's just a boxed in miner, done wrong imo. You should have larger intake and then use the own miner's fan to push to air out through a sound proof exhaust tube, but not too long. The only reason to do this is for sound proofing, it's not deployment friendly, might as well just get quiet hardware if you're just starting out.

If you have a large enough intake you could filter it, but typically anything you put that will actually filter dust or anything will have too much air arrestance. If the intake was many many time the size of the exhaust fan, the whole thing would take a lot of space. If its filtered and/or too small the fan will be fighting too much negative pressure and the miner won't cool much.
96  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Using a Grow Tent for a mining rig cooling case? on: January 25, 2018, 06:16:09 AM
Sorry which section should i put this in next time.

Also the reason I did that is because I have antminers running in the same room so I did not want them sucking in hot air.

Trying to think outside of the box.

Were you high when you came up with that idea? Tongue

The tighter the space, the less air to put your heat in. And it doesn't really matter if your ASIC draw air bit hotter than ambient, what's really important is venting the hot air outside!

Venting 101: Dump the heat to the outside, with exhaust, let the fresh outside air in through passive intake. Smiley
I was able to cool a dozen rigs and some ASICs through 2 small windows that way, when i lived in an appartment~
97  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Was mining always this difficult to get into? on: January 25, 2018, 06:07:40 AM
Well it seems with the current price hurdle we’re stuck at. Mining equipment may become more easily acquired temporarily until the price starts to climb again. Now is probably the time to buy.

I don't know, the stuff right now is still ridiculously overpriced. The Avalon's 821 price didnt surprise me but i mean, no point imo to buy >year ROI. There are better places to put your money in >.>
98  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: CALL TO ARMS - strike back against overpriced GPU sellers! End of high prices! on: January 25, 2018, 05:57:33 AM
My trust indexes say 0 -0/+0.  What are you seeing?

But just like at a park where there are signs saying "Do not feed the animals", that's what we have to do here.  Take away their profit opportunity.

I routinely go on ebay and message sellers telling them what I will pay for their GPU, and how lucky they should feel to be getting that much.  More for harassment than anything else.

I guess a good rule of thumb is if the GPU can earn back its price in 100 days or less, according to the NiceHash calculators, then that is not too terrible of a price.  But over the last few days I have seen people trying to get $600 for 1070s and that is insane.  I just say no and I do not buy.  Do not feed the animals!  Wait a few more weeks to expand your GPU farm!

And I agree, the Chinese are pure evil.  They are the masters of stealing intellectual property and counterfeiting it for themselves.  Trump is right to push them on trade wars.  I've seen some of the sellers on Alibaba and emailed them.  They want only bank transfers or Western Union.  I noped on out of there.

It's because you're probably using a low depth range, i'm using 1 more depth, so the rating removed from you by people trusted by people trusted by the people on the default trust list are then visible.

Anyways, you know how market price work right? The GPUs that should be 500$ are all being bought out by pilling who are willing to pay 500-700$, which mean the only GPUs you see at the one above the price we're willing to pay for them. Considering the great profitability, buying a GPU at 130% markup isint that much of a big deal. I mean check the S9 which are being traded at what, 5X their price before the BTC spike?

So if you don't buy them when they're as low as 600$, then i will.
99  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: New Baikal Giant B for Sale--$10000 on: January 23, 2018, 05:10:29 AM
No escrow. I bought it on this forum and I expect it to be shipped to me in the next week or so.

If you buy it then I will email the seller (and CC you) and ask him to ship it to you direct--from Europe, New Zealand I believe.

Who is that seller? Inb4 another newbie account.

Professional Freight forwarding service do this, in case you didn't know or can't find someone here you can trust. Less chances of getting scammed too ^_^"
