1081  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Centra ICO 8/5/17 | Multi-Blockchain Worldwide Debit Card & Insured Wallet on: August 03, 2017, 06:53:44 PM
I reread the white paper, and their was an important piece of information that I seemed to overlook.
It says token holders are eligible to receive 0.8% eth for every transaction made on the network.
That's awsome, so the bigger your token stake, the more eth you'll receive, correct? On top of that, 0% spending fee, and eligibility of up to 2% rewards. This card keeps getting better every time I read the white paper Cheesy
1082  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Centra ICO 8/5/17 | Multi-Blockchain Worldwide Debit Card & Insured Wallet on: August 03, 2017, 11:29:06 AM

Centra MyEtherWallet Userguide is up. It shows you the step by step guide on how to contribute on Centra Tokensale and receiving your CTR Tokens immediately.

Click on the picture to read the userguide.
Thank You

I'm a bit late to the party, and I'm still learning about ethereum and smart contracts. Up until a few days ago, I had no idea what a token really was, just that it was apart of ethereum. I recently signed up for myetherwallet and was wondering how to asign tokens that arent yet listed.
This clears things up some, cheers!
1083  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ⚡ [ANN] ⚡ DeepOnion TOR Integrated ⚡ No ICO 🚀 FREE Airdrops 🚀 3rd of 40 Rounds on: August 02, 2017, 11:09:38 PM
ok guys so do the people who wear the avatar get more ONION than those who don't? I cant find any info on this. i cant wear any ava yet..

Yes, avatars are unlocked with full member status. The higher your posting rank, the more onion received during the initial airdrop, which is once a week. Currently we are in round 3 of 40. When you reach 60 posts, and 60 activity, you will have reached member status. the maximum amount of activity you can achieve per week is 14. It doesn't look like you have to much further to go, Congratz!
1084  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: 🔥⭐[ANN] WiC |Monetizing WiFi Sharing | Developed Technology |Token Sale Soon⭐🔥 on: August 02, 2017, 10:57:38 PM
I really like the concept but would like to see the whitepaper for further details on this startup. Is there a roadmap? My biggest concern is the misuse of a great system. I guess I will wait until more details are released. The layout of the first page of the thread is a little choppy.
Overall I will mark this thread on my watchlist, as I like the direction the project has taken, as of yet.
Only time will tell for sure. For now, I will await the white paper.

Beware, dev, that one of the conditions you have put in your bounty program looks like being in violation of rules of the bitcointalk forum and if you don't change it it will probably cause your thread to be permanently locked
by some admins. PM me for details. Did I now qualify for a bounty bug? Wink
That's the spirit old chap! Now thats how you turn water into wine. I like your style. You know what they say, one's for the money, two's for the show, three's to get busy, so go go go! You know this whole platform changes everything. If they can successfully pull this off, others will be lined up to entered into the market. These are some really exciting times to be apart of the whole scene, smack dab in the middle!  Tongue
The communities of blockchain based technologies are really booming. Centra could be the next big pioneer in blockchain based financial services. Imagine how big this could be if it superceeds the normal crypto news outlets,  and makes cnn, or nbc (U.S based news networks)?
1086  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: 🌟🌟🚀[ANN][PRESALE] Snapup - A revolutionary way to shop for premium products on: August 02, 2017, 09:59:12 PM
So, this is a bidding/raffle, wheras the winner is determined by the amount they place for bid, and level of participation? The white paper states that the startup takes a spin on penny styled auctions , and amazon esque goods & services. Now that's pretty snappy Grin. This seems like a cool idea. The marketing is aimed at modern day consumers who have a niche for the latest trends of tech, & hipster appeal. Bravo! This is definitely something different, being that it uses crypto tokens. The token seems to be the center piece of the business.
Early adopters place their stake, and if all goes well, it should pay off in the long run. I like the enthusiasm and the mascot of the token, quite brilliant. This project honestly seems legit. The road-map looks decent, white paper clear and concise. Best of luck!
1087  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Centra ICO 8/5/17 | Multi-Blockchain Worldwide Debit Card & Insured Wallet on: August 02, 2017, 01:34:18 AM
Now this is an ICO worth it's weight in gold. One of the key points here that immediately grabbed my attention was that fact that it is a US based startup, meaning compliance with regulatory bodies.
The white paper clearly states, "CTR tokens are not SECURITIES nor SHARES. They are a utility based on the ethereum blockchain." Thats legalese for: US residents are welcome to participate, without fear of persecution from the long arm of the law.
This ICO is offerings a great opportunity. A crypto debit card will bridge the gap between fiat and crypto coins. I myself use the shift debit card partnered with coinbase, but this supports a multitude of cryptos without having to go through a third party exchange, cutting the middle guy out (no disrespect).
The crypto scene is about to explode with opportunity, thanks to honest startups like this one.
The SEC has already issued a statement regarding the dao, as being a security, and the crackdown is already asunder. Expect regulators to move with a thunderous force in the near future. I'm looking foward to this project and I'll be keeping an eye on it.
1088  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are BCC in my wallet? on: August 01, 2017, 04:35:30 PM
 Grin
I recently received BCH (Bitoincash) into my Coinomi wallet for android. It was relatively simply. I own 0.01 Bitcoins, so I was credited with 0.01 Bitcoincash.
If you followed the procedures correctly, any one with access to their private keys, will receive 1:1 ration of Bitcoincash. As of yet, Bitcoincashs value is undetermined. It was the futures of Bitcoincash that people were trading, not the actual coin.

Just keep yourselves updated with http://www.coindesk.com and check the latest news.

1089  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Get your ski mask on because tomorrow is going to be a robbery on: July 31, 2017, 06:21:37 PM
August 1st is finally here. I hope everyone has their full nodes ready with all their bitcoins there. Time to dump all of our BCC for more free BTC. Easiest trade ever.

A reminder to get all of your coins off from exchanges and into your full nodes.

If you aren't running a full node, then put it in a paper wallet or something.

Just be ready to dump BitmainCoin, time to get some free chips.

How is this free? You've either bought BCC (which cost you something), expect it to get pumped up and then you'll sell on the quick rise. Is that correct?

The concept of "you'll have an equal amount of BCC coins and BTC coins" does not mean you have double the number of coins. It means you'll be able to claim BCC OR BTC, not both. And your private keys are the source of record, they are interchangeable in both wallets. Once you claim your BCC you will now have an equal amount less available in BTC, and vice versa.

There's nothing free about this, especially if you think BCC is going to fail.

The only "lottery-like" win here is elect to take BCC immediately and the conversion is something like 1BTC:1000BCC and then  BCC takes off days, weeks, or months after.

Wrong, bitcoincash is issued at a 1:1 rate. If you have exactly 1 bitcoin, then you will be issued exactly 1 bitcoincash. I think you better do some more research my friend. You may be missing out on profit.

Fear/Uncertainty/Doubt = F.U.D
Best thing to do is wait. If anything, backup your private keys and put some coin aside for bitcoincash. If it doesn't pan out, sell it. I don't a whole bitcoin but I pulled my $30 worth from coinbase yesterday.
1091  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is DeepOnion going to be the next Top 10 Cryptocurrencies? on: July 30, 2017, 12:59:21 PM
I have no clue where this projects future stands, in fact it's my first airdrop/signature campaign.
But the requirments of participation are bare minimal. I've been a member here for years, the campaign encourages me to post more. I've never been a spam poster, I generally care about the community and the whole scene.  I hope the future of the coin turns out to be somewhat legit.
The dev is very active. I'm not involved to sell, but to hold. Only time will tell.
1092  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why BTC will never be over 30K on: July 30, 2017, 12:19:15 PM
I've read a lot of articles about people claiming bitcoin will be worth millions in the future, for example John mcAfee recently said bitcoin will be 500K in 3 years.
Now, imagine if this was true, and it was in fact 500K/BTC. The total market cap would then be 10.500.000.000.000, or about 10 trillion dollars. This is an unbelievable and unachievable amount of money. Even if we ignore the market caps, imagine how many people would become rich? Millions would become millionairs, hundreds would become billionaires, all in a matter of 3 years. This would cripple the global economy as we know it.

My best guess is that, in 10 years, bitcoin might be around it's absolute peak of 30K, giving it a total market cap of about 630.000.000.000$, or 630 billion. The total market cap of cryptos would then be around 2 trillion if the some of the better alts gain more traction. I believe this is fairly realistic. This means BTC would have to rise with around 7 - 8$ a day.

Edited

The economy would not be crippled. How would you change the btc into fiat?
What bank will let you deposit more than $10,000 without freezing your account?
Don't be silly brother, the reason why the governments around the world aren't to worried about bitcoin, is because for now, it is internet play money.
Sure bitcoin is the future, but without further guidance and regulation, how many of us will be left in the cold when it's time to cashout? You can move small amounts into different accounts, and credit unions, but thats structuring , which is illegal. I guess it depends on which country your from.
But lets be real, how would you legally cash out on $1,000,000 worth of coins? Because I certainly would like to know!
1093  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] DeepOnion TOR Integrated, No ICO/Crowdfund, Free Airdrop 2nd Round Jul 28 on: July 28, 2017, 05:35:48 AM
@crypto-rainbow
I just submitted DeepOnion to Cryptocompare. Hopefully they will add it soon.
If this action return us some good PR we can deliver some ONIONs from bounty wallet
You can open new thread there everytime https://deeponion.org/community/forums/fund-my-deeponion-project.28/
Let the dev team members reward your contribution!

Thanks a lot for that, it took me some 15 mins so not too much effort but I try what I can. I will get back to you when there are news on the matter.

Another q, to participate in the bounty it says accounts created after 12th of July are not eligible, I joined here on that day so I assume I can participate then? Just need Jr. Member status first.

YES YOU CAN. Also invite people you know who registered before 12 JUL to the Airdrops. We want to reach 1000 people and do it very fast!

It just tells me: accepted.
Which is cool enough, I guess.
Yes you can be paid tomorrow!!

So to summarize the full size and content of the airdrop :

Let's assume you have 1000 people every week for the next 40 weeks, and that you want to disperse 12 millions coins.
Am I right to assume that is an average of :

-300 coins per person
- Around 11k coins in total assuming the same 1000 people get the coins
- You have to keep 90 % of the total amount on the wallet for the entire duration of the airdrop or else, disqualified for future airdrops.

Is there going to be a cap on the number of people participating?

The amount of coins is different week by week in the airdrop. Starting with 100k per week ending at 400k per week. The odds of 1000 people making it through TEN MONTHS of bounty qualifications especially once DeepOnion hits an exchange is very weak. I don't see more than 1000 people any week being actually qualified even with a cap.

Don't be so sure, The airdop requirements are fairly simple, people are always waiting to participate in another airdrop. This one is practically free, given the minimal amount of work needed in return. 217 participants in the first airdrop alone. I'm sure it's more than doubled since then!

1094  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What are all the types of coins on: July 28, 2017, 12:28:13 AM
Theres less than 20 real coins, the rest are clones. The best place to check for a big list of coins that have market caps, would be www.coinmarketcap.com. They keep an updated list of popular coins, some new, some old. It is a very resourceful data sheet, but operates on a 24hr period. If you want up to date coverage, their may be rss feeds available for crypto exchanges.
Your question was a bit on the broad side, but overall, this should cover your spread.
1095  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoins - Safe wallet for long term? on: July 27, 2017, 11:21:46 PM
If you have an android wallet, coinomi covers around 40 or so altcoins, it's very convenient.
The wallet should cover all of the coins you listed. I use the wallet personally, though I'm not 100% sure if you have access to the private keys.
1096  Economy / Economics / Re: New rich people thanks to BTC on: July 27, 2017, 12:58:10 AM
Once you become a bitcoin millionaire, what are you supposed to do next? How do you cash out? Is it possible to live off of bitcoin alone? I have a coinbase account, but surely my bank would seize the money the moment I deposit it. What good is it, if I can't turn some coins into fiat.
These are the questions nobody's answering! Maybe I'll start a thread upon this very topic.
1097  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Rothschild Just Bought $210,000 Worth Of Bitcoin on: July 26, 2017, 01:52:34 AM
I wouldn't doubt if he bought some bitcoin, but serious why $210,000 worth. You know he is worth a trillion dollars could he not just buy an exchange or something.
Rothchild is being humble. $210,000 worth of coins portrays a speculative approach. Surely he's no fool, genius in fact. Any amount greater than that, and we'll be calling him a whale (cue the tin foil hats, & conspiracy nutters). This creates a safe distance from a vantage point, and portrays a modest curiousity.
Imagine beating your litttle brother at videogames every time? Every now and then, you look the other way, and let the little guy get the win. U know, let him be king for a day, even though he indeed is the fool (not literally).
1098  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: SEC Issues Investigative Report Concluding DAO Tokens, a Digital Asset, Were Sec on: July 26, 2017, 01:22:29 AM
I tried to read that legal verbiage but I suppose it all comes down to this, the US is going to regulate the ICO market and in response those that release ICOs will probably forbid american citizens from participating in their ICOs anymore, am I right?
Americans should have never participated (due to legal uncertainties), but these are uncharted waters, the SEC knew about the ICO's for a while, but continued to observe them from afar, until deciding to weigh their foot down. This is fairly new technology, so their giving us some leg room to maneuver.
If you interfere with innovation, you kill the creativity. Some of those regulators are cheering us on. This is the digital gold rush. Anything can happen. Regulation will be slowly guided, slowly conditioned, one degree at a time(let he who has ear's to hear, hear!). If things get too out of control, they will wave the ban hammer quickly. I'm sure the regulators are profiting from these innovations as well. It's like watching a young child express their creativity. Too much interference will only hinder the technology. After all, theres monrley to be made by everyone!

Cheers!
1099  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [POLL] Paid your taxes ? on: July 25, 2017, 02:02:49 PM
Since it is in fact law.. i am curious how many of you have or not.

..feel free to vote if you have the balls  Cheesy
I have, bitcoin.tax is an excellent platform to use. I mostly spent bitcoins using my coinbase shift debit card. I was testing the waters.
I bought some pizza and a videogame. Then took around $40 out of an atm. I filed using taxact, they allow an import option for .csv files. I haven't had any taxable gains/losses as of this year yet. I'm sure it's only a matter of time though.
1100  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: USA companies "investing" in ICO's is it legal? on: July 24, 2017, 11:08:23 PM
This question gets asked 2 to 3 times a week. Just use the search function of the forums for the answer. It isn't a simple yes or no answer. We're talking about the legal gray area of U.S law. It's better suited to contact an attorney of financial law to be certain.
The Securities & Exchange commission, purposefully leave a bleak amount of detail concerning ICO's, most likely to discourage people from proceeding further into this legal gray area, until they decide to provide further regulatory instruction. ICO's are like securities,  thats all I'll say.
Best of luck! Read this thread.
