This together with the fact that you already said the guy you are talking about has a different name and location, would lead me to believe someone in your chatroom is trolling you, or trying to misdirect you. Really. There was a ddos attack on this forum, when? And by the way, I don't think anyone in the world has the power to take down google.
Bitcointalk was DDOSed several times in the past. At one instance, the attacker used a malicious SSL certificate to capture the information, DDOS attacks were most probably used to mask this. Bitcointalk does not use cloudflare or any other DDOS protection since the provider can potentially do a MITM attack. There are hardware to filter attacks but it would be great if they have various other servers with huge bandwidth to dilute the attack. Who the hell would attack a forum, especially this site. Post some proof or STFU.All 26 alts of 3 different people are screaming "Spots is a scammer" but not one of them in nearly 20 pages, 400 replies and 2 1/2 months can provide a single documented shred of proof. Not one. Show where he intentionally offered a service, commodity or coin for an agreed upon price, took the money and didn't deliver what he "sold" you. Again, just because you lost money in any coin he launched does not make him a scammer. So can any of you geniuses tell me how one would acquire enough badwidth to DDoS any site these days given the advancement in technology over the years to easily block such vile activity?

Botnets, "server test" services, heck even cloudflare is easy to bypass. There is nothing you can't bypass in Computers, its just a matter of time. Botnets, nothing but imagination. Server test sites LOL Cloudfare - Not gonna get past it. 1) I am demanding that all members of the forum membership dues be refunded from inception of this forum till present day
2) I am demanding that Theymos and Badbear pledge a peaceful transition of their dictatorship.
3) That we elect a new "Thermos" to rule.

My question: why would someone o it on the forum?
Same reason as for exchanges, pools etc - extortion. Lose short term income while the site is down (no ads) and long term patronage.... or pay me. Going a little off the deep into tin foil land aren't we? DDoS is way over diagnosed for server issues, ISP problems and IT Staff incompetence. ~BCX~ |
