641  Other / Meta / Re: Security risk for more than 7300 bitcointalk users? on: July 18, 2020, 09:06:19 PM
But the fact that someone is collecting it up is against the will of a bounty hunter

Exactly...
Collecting what? Their KYC data? Most of the bounty hunters don't give any importance to their identity. So, they never bother to share their documents. However, what's the security risk with KYC related to bitcointalk account?

closing the wallet before full confirmation?
No. This don't have any impact because once you relesse the tx, that will be recorded in the DeepOnion blockchain. That was not the problem. You must have done something. May be some of your files are corrupted, specially some tx records. It should work with a rescan though.
643  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: [SCAM ALERT] Don't Send 0.1 BTC To Get Double In Twitter on: July 16, 2020, 02:29:57 PM
Hopefully no one is a victim of the hacking incident that gave  twitter a big problem and also the big names on  cryptocurrency.  Nothing is safe on social media right now.
So far the hacker managed to get 12 BTC. It's news of yesterday. I don't know the correct amount now, I believe it has been increased. The hacked accounts were such high profile that anyone with less knowledge would believe that it's true and would be the victim.
644  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin Transaction Accelerator on: July 16, 2020, 02:26:26 PM
viabtc is a legit one to my known but they will only accept your tx if you have paid minimum of 10 satoshi per byte, otherwise they will not accept the tx to accelerate. There are some so called accelerate services in our forum and most of the tumes they are fake. I recommend not to pay anyone whoever promise to accelerate a tx.
645  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Why users are always accused for the vulnerability of Electrum? on: July 14, 2020, 02:27:32 PM
I'm not criticizing Electrum in such a bad way. I'm also a user of Electrum wallet.

Sure, Electrum shouldn't have allowed the error message to be displayed that way but if the user always validated their download(as recommended), they wouldn't have run it.
If you had a previous version with officially verified, you still have the chance to get the pop message. Imagine, I have used Electrum wallet 1 year back and left it in my device and after one year I just opened my wallet and saw the pop up. Very few people will hesitate to check official website. No one will have any question in their mind unless they have heard about the vulnerability.
But why here in the forum people say it's a vulnerability and you should have checked, indirectly the user is accussed of their mistake.

Vulnerability mostly come from user's faults:
- Don't backup their seeds.
- Don't secure backup well.
- Don't set up a password for their wallet or use too bad/ weak password.
- Don't verify wallet
- and so forth.
These are not vulnerability, dude. These are mistakes. Vulnerability is- hackers can send pop up message to users for updating their wallet with a fake app. This was a vulnerability of electrum wallet.
646  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Tell me a reason why I should use online wallet. on: July 14, 2020, 02:20:58 PM
Although I don't recommend anyone to use online wallets, they still have some benefits. Imagine coinbase as offchain network, you can transfer within few seconds without any fee. But yeah, it has risk of being account blocked but coinbase will back your balance of course.

I was having an argument with one guy from the internet. He uses online wallet instead of an offline.
I think you are not talking about offline wallet. Electrum wallet is also good to use and it's also hot wallet.
647  Bitcoin / Electrum / Why users are always accused for the vulnerability of Electrum? on: July 14, 2020, 02:07:50 PM
With old version of electrum, people may lose their coin as older version have vulnerability. Not everyone can keep up all the news, update and mistakenly they use an older version which is vulnerable and they lost their coin. Why the users always accuse here of being mistaken while it is totally a mistake of Electrum itself. Why did they release such a version without having significant test? It really hurts when people complain that they have lost their coin by using older version of electrum.
648  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: LTC out of top 10 coins on: July 14, 2020, 01:59:42 PM
I don't think it's going to be ranked out of 10 since it is one of the most useful coin and most valueable in terms of low fee tx, also it's the best forked coin of BTC. Also, there's an announcement by Charlie that soon there will be new version of LTC with some major upgrades.

Good to see the new plan. It was very much needed indeed. It's good that you guys are being serious on the porject with putting new mission, goals. Now, with the new development planning, I can see a lot of good things to come in the DeepOnion network. It would be good if you share what's the plan with DeepVault in details, not only we will have partnership. Still it's good though. Hopefully everything will be done.
650  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Big Chance (to grow) with small coins - which one? on: July 13, 2020, 05:56:31 PM
It seems like you are shlling for the above mentioned coins. In my opinion, these are not some good coins which we should have looked. Moreover, expecting a good suggestion here is not a good idea because everyone will shill for their invested coin.
651  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Binance upcoming delisting on: July 13, 2020, 04:44:39 PM
Thank you for sharing this although I don't have any of mentioned coin in Binance. I appreciate the decision of Binance and this is a good side of Binance that they always want to keep their user safe and secure.
652  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: TikTok is a new social media source for promoting cryptocurrencies? on: July 13, 2020, 04:34:56 PM
I don't think tiktok is a good place to promote crypto because most of the users are not much interested in crypto. The dogecoin hype happened because of the greedness of being reach or get some quick money. I don't think that can be a good place for promoting cryptocurrency.
653  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What does the police do if they seize bitcoin from criminals? on: July 13, 2020, 04:03:41 PM
They do an auction and sell them. Selling through auction is the most logical option. In my local, if police seize any vehicles like motor bike or cars and if the owner don't claim their vehicle, later, authority sold them through auction.
654  Economy / Reputation / Re: I have been contacted by 1xbit.com for promotion on: July 11, 2020, 04:52:55 PM
If and only if. But if they were really scammers, I guess there would be no place for them here in the forum.
Mistakes may happen. I'm aware about scam of 1xbit. However, if they want to gain reputation by resolving issues, I think there's nothing wrong with that. If Yobit has a place in the forum, why not some other too if they agree to solve issue.

I remember it happened before with another campaign where all participants were requested to stop promoting the service or they will be tagged (just can't remember which campaign it was).
Livecoin promoters were threatened to be blacklisted. Referring to that?

Promoting 1xbit is like you are promoting direct scam company.

Of course, promoting 1xbit is promoting scam but IF they solve the accudations.
655  Economy / Reputation / Re: I have been contacted by 1xbit.com for promotion on: July 11, 2020, 01:37:31 PM
If 1xbit is ready to resolve all the accudations on them, I think that's good and after resolving all the issue, you can run the signature campaign. We have seen a few projects doing that in the forum. Roobet had some issue with Yahoo62278 and they are still good after handling the issue professionally.
656  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will Dogecoin prices crash if TikTok continues to get banned? on: July 11, 2020, 01:30:19 PM
Doge has ATH long ago, not for Tiktok hype. It has crossed 100 sats even in a bearish season. Then why due to the tiktok ban in some countries will affect it so harsh? It's true that it will have some dump which was speculated before the start of the pump since it was made by some people in order to make some quick cash.
657  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Marletplace for selling ICO cpin/token on: July 10, 2020, 03:36:17 PM
Is there any place where I can sell any ICO coin/token? I know about bitcointalk altcoin Marketplace but that's not too good place to sell such coins. I have two coins/token from ICO which have been held last year but there's no update from the team, no listing yet. They are having many excuses. That's why I planned to sell them. Do you know any of such places?
658  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What is the difference between a bitcoin address and a bitcoin wallet? on: July 10, 2020, 03:16:52 PM
mnemonic seeds (with Electrum) to backup and restore your wallet later.
Not necessarily true. You can get private key in Electrum wallet too. Seed key is for back up the whole wallet while you can get private key of any of your addresses from Electrum too, not only in Bitcoin Core. Each address can be accessed through their private key. To get private key in Electrum, select and click on right button if your mouse and get private key.
In bitcoin core, as wallet back up, you have to save the wallet.dat file. While in electrum, to save the wallet, you can save both wallet file and the seed key.
On the other hand, in both bitcoin core and electrum, you can get private key for each of your addresses.
Seed key and private key both are different, it's none kf human readable format. Also, password is to protect the wallet itself.
659  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: 🧅 [ONION] 🧅 Popular Privacy Coin with Real Use Case 🧅 Check DeepOnion Updates on: July 10, 2020, 02:54:41 PM
BTW, when talking about saving the project, saw some discussion about TikTok recently on DO forum. Even though I'm not using it, I see the opportunity here, if played smart. The Team should not wait too long when all coins are present there and prepare some video with viral potential. It will cost you no funds, just your time. I assume you know what happened to Dogecoin recently because of TikTok video. Doubled price, huge trading volumes and additional 300 million USD of market cap was a result.
That will create a short term pump which will further destroy the project I think. Team need some good future plan to draw and work on that. Short term hype will bring no good for the project other than some people dumping their bag heavily. Either way, some good promotional video would be good though. May be with some professional guy.

Wallets have private key
This is kind of wrong statement. Wallet may have seed key or one can use password to encrypt wallet file. But private keys are related with address. Private keys are the key to access a particular address, not the wallet. I hope you got my point.
