1201  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / NHCT is a scam? on: February 24, 2020, 08:02:12 AM
NHCT token has raised $10 million with an ICO price of $0.032 long ago. It was 2018 and since then there's no update on the project, on their telegram group. They have listed in a shit exchange which is very new and also get started with ICO in 2018, it was ethershift. I have asked about updates several times but they never seem to get engaged with discussion despite they always say that they are working on the project but no updates. On 2019, they promised to list the coin on a good exchange once the market recovers a little which was a shit reason to postpone the listing but they are now giving no response. One of the admin is sharing the referral link of ethershift all time.

That's really sad, we invest our hard-earned money or spend our time on the bounty but this scam team only promises and cheat at the end. How long?
1202  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Binance is giving away money to them who are already rich! on: February 24, 2020, 07:49:16 AM
It's for increasing the total volume on Binance which will get them more fees and higher volume means better rank overall. A person with little fund can't assist them to fulfil their goal  Cheesy It's normal and take it easy. Try to build your portfolio so that someday you also get the position to trade such a big amount.
1203  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bitcointalk PSL T20 Pool and discussion. on: February 24, 2020, 07:37:19 AM
I was almost certain that I will get points on the second match yesterday when Lahore got 2 early wickets after having a total of 182 but Islamabad ruined that lol. What was the wrong with Lahore Captain Sohail Akhtar? Hafeez did very good bowling at the beginning. 2 overs, 11 runs and picked 1 wicket. Hafeez didn't get a call later despite others bowlers were called and at the end, there was no option but to call Usman Shinwari.
1204  Other / Beginners & Help / What is Market Cap on: February 24, 2020, 07:25:32 AM
This is very basic and I wouldn't write this article unless I see this confusion from a higher rank account. Some high-rank users even merited the post too. Did I miss anything? Please correct me if I'm wrong.

In simple words, market cap is the total value of a certain project at this moment. Or in other words, the total price of all the coins available of a coin/token.

This depends on circulating supply.
Mcap= Circulating Supply * Current Price

I took a random token, BOMB.
Total Supply- 953,103
Circulating Supply- 952,315
Current Price- $0.678806

So, the Mcap= 952,315 * $0.678806 = $646437.13589 which represents the total mcap in CMC.

So, basically this has no effect in the mcap, circulating supply and price can affect the mcap.

1205  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: LOW CIRCULATION COMPARE TO TOTAL SUPPLY. on: February 24, 2020, 07:13:07 AM
short answer: market cap

lets say you have 100 apples and put all in circulation. now if 1 apple is worth $1 then the true market capitalization of apples is $100 (supply * price).
now lets say you have 100 apples but only put 10 of them in circulation. now if 1 apple is worth $1 you still get the same market capitalization of $100 but it is fake because the real market cap is $10
Is this really true? I used to know that Circulating Supply determines the market cap. Look at Zcash- https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/zcash/
The maximum supply of Zcash is 21,000,000 ZEC but the circulating supply is 9,110,906 ZEC. As per current price, Circulating Supply * Current Price = $557,634,432 which is the current Market Cap of Zcash. I don't know where you get this or what I'm missing.
1206  Other / Meta / Re: Bumping a thread : Are Stats available ? on: February 23, 2020, 03:23:48 PM
The reason for knowing is what if a single person is bumping a thread.
A single person can't bump a thread twice within 24 hours. And everyone has weight in their bump. So, if you are frequently bumping a thread alone, there's no chance that the thread will be on the top. The longer you don't bump a thread, you get more bump power.
1207  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bitcointalk PSL T20 Pool and discussion. on: February 23, 2020, 01:34:58 PM
You can make a pick after the toss. The event gets automatic lock once the match starts not after the toss.
Seems my memory is very short. Last year someone else had asked the question on world cup pool too lol. Thanks.

Quote
Besides yesterday I was totally pointless lol.
I was lucky that I had margin point in one or two matches. It's hard to predict here to be honest. Deadley is having good points too.

Edit-
I have lost point on the last match, I don't know how I have choosen Karachi over Quetta  Huh
1208  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bitcointalk PSL T20 Pool and discussion. on: February 23, 2020, 11:59:25 AM
Can we lock or choose our picks after the toss is done ?
What is the last time to chose our picks ?
No, if I am correct you can't. If you don't pick your team before the toss, there will be an automatic selection. superbru will select the most selected pick for you. I am not sure here although. It's good if you choose after the toss but that will be a hassle to pick a team because you have to be active on that particular time.

Here is awesome opportunity for us.
Lets dominate it.

How long will we run after free listing? I think we have more exchanges than we needed. Look at the volume of the exchanges other than Kucoin, almost all the exchanges are dead all the time. There's another one citex or something which has a fake volume. Go to the exchange and you will not find any liquidity.
Why don't we go for a mid level paid exchange? It has been discussed couple of times but this is the only thing DEV team don't want to take necessary steps at all.

Please don't say BTC was not paid listed, this sounds too much unmatured behaviour.
1210  Other / Meta / Re: Bumping a thread : Are Stats available ? on: February 23, 2020, 11:31:51 AM
Read this-
Non-publicity of data

For now, I am intentionally not making it public who bumped each topic, since that way you can't prove that you bumped anything, and this may prevent people from selling their bumps as easily. I don't particularly object to making the approximate bump scores or bump powers public, but I didn't do this yet.
I agree with theymos's thought. Also, I think anyone can bump a thread. So, there's no way you can read other people's mind if they are intentionally bumping a thread or it's a coincidence. People like their supported coin's ANN to be at the top.

Unless I misunderstand the question?
I think he is talking about the new bumping algorithm on different boards.
1211  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do not FOMO on newly listed altcoins on Binance on: February 22, 2020, 06:25:43 AM
That's really one of the stupid move from newbie traders. If there's a good project with everything good and have real demand, no matter which exchange the coin is listed, price will increase. On the other hand, no matter Binance or other exchange list a coin, if the coin has no real demand, it will never get much attention from other. Listing on Binance may give you some pump most of the times but tthat's not guaranteed.
1212  Other / Meta / Re: BUMP for other who are off limit on: February 22, 2020, 03:34:52 AM
Both two global moderators replied to that thread, and they sure awared of what Hhampuz did. I think it is fine, no rule-broken activity with it.
Just to clarify you, I didn't say anyone breaking rules by doing that. My main question was- why false sense of banning someone? If he can conduct everything in one way or another, what punishment he got? Nothing, right?

Why all the rules are here? To prevent spam, right? If you are not going to be penalized which you don't realize, how can you prevent the spam? People will do it continuously of course cause they are getting nothing off limit in reality.

Edit-
I have to quote myself once again-
PS- If anyone takes it as personal attack etc. please don't respond because your respond will be biased.
This means if you are taking this thread created for Hhampuz, please don't respond here.

Everyone who check spreadsheet are aware of removed participants that mostly means a same number of spots are openned. In this case, on-behalf announcements are needed, IMO.
You even didn't think of reading what TMAN said.

You keep saying it's "in general" and you keep referring to Hhampuz. Make up your mind.
Cause I have used Hhampuz's case as an example and that's why I had to refer him.
1213  Other / Meta / Re: BUMP for other who are off limit on: February 22, 2020, 03:22:57 AM
Why people assist Hhampuz when he has broken rules?

Sometimes people like to help other people, and if I understand this correctly it's not so much for Hhampuz as it is for his customers, who are not at fault for whatever Hhampuz did to get the ban.
So, someone can run their service/business even if they are banned here with alt (Not the case here of course, Hhampuz can never do that I believe) but in general it's possible? Again, aren't it being false sense of banning someone for breaking forum rules? If they are able to do everything they need, what's the result of the ban? Off limit from posting from the main account but easy to get the ban lifted through alt? Again, this is in general, not purposely threw to Hhampuz.

As for the "posting on behalf of someone", as hilariousandco pointed out, it really depends. I'd say a short "hey, I'm unable to post on the forums; everything is fine and I'll be back in a bit" should be fine if it's related to something time-sensitive and important (e.g. bounty campaigns).
This and the case in Hhampuz is different. Look at the bold part. I can say that I will be back within x days, or campaign manager Sylon used to share update on his medium account may be. That's are ssomething else.
This temp ban is off limiting me to post (but I can post), this temp ban is off limiting me to communicate on forum (but I can communicate on forum), then what's the punishment someone is actually getting?
1214  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Sending Bitcoin through SMS/Text Messaging? on: February 22, 2020, 03:03:38 AM
I don't know how much decentralized Bitbucks is, you can send receive BTC with your mobile number through Bitbucks. It works same as any other custodial wallet service. There's no fee other than while loading your wallet. A lot of good features are there which I personally liked.

1215  Other / Meta / BUMP for other who are off limit on: February 22, 2020, 02:09:38 AM
Why does moderator/admin ban someone?
To off limit using the forum, isn't it? If someone is banned from the forum for a week or two or permanently, they are not having the advantage of facilitating a lot of features.

Now, if other people help them doing things, how much off limit are they in reality?

This is not a personal thing. Hhampuz have been banned twice so far to my known. But some people is helping them bumping Hhampuz's thread (I am 100% sure Hhampuz never asked anyone to do that, people doing voluntarily), TMAN annoucing free slots (Hhampuz asked).
Why people assist Hhampuz when he has broken rules?
Why TMAN assisting Hhampuz to do things which Hhampuz is not allowed to that?

If it's allowed, why the false sense of off limiting features?

PS- If anyone takes it as personal attack etc. please don't respond because your respond will be biased.
1216  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bitcointalk PSL T20 Pool and discussion. on: February 22, 2020, 01:43:53 AM
I'm still yet to score a single point for the two matches so far, while someone have got 2 points just for forgetting to make their picks, hopefully I'll get some from the next few games.
Hey bud, aren't you the runner up of World Cup 2019? Why not a hard try here too?
So far, deadley got some good call, 3 win point out of 3 matches and 1 margin point as well.

@akhjob
congrats bud, you deserve the rank. You are too faster than me.
1217  Economy / Reputation / Re: Are newbies persecuted on this forum? on: February 22, 2020, 01:16:21 AM
I really don't see any reason for a negative tag, not even a neutral tag is needed here. OP may be or not be promoting SetupVPN but even if he is trying to promote that, why he can't be trusted?
How many of us are having enough analysis before promoting a project? Very few indeed. dkbit is promoting GOLD backed stablecoin, did he ever analyzied if they are real or not? No personally attack bud but just trying to point that if such things deserve neg tag then probably more than 90% of the forum user will get neg tag.

1219  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Ripple partnership with bkash? Is it legal? on: February 20, 2020, 05:20:27 AM
Bkash is a payment gateway of one of the reputed bank of Bangladesh, the BRAC bank. Recently they had a partnership with Ripple.
What I have understood, BRAC bank will use Ripple (?) to transfer remittances. If so, aren't they going to use XRP coin? Please confirm, I am a bit confused in this.

If so, I mean if they use XRP in Bangladesh, why not Bitcoin?
https://cointelegraph.com/news/bangladesh-bank-with-4-billion-in-assets-now-employs-ripplenet

Edit- The article refers to partnership with Bank Asia, not BRAC Bank. I can't find link of the BRAC Bank partnership for now.
1220  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Consider these 12 things before joining a bounty program on: February 20, 2020, 05:10:52 AM
Considering the current bounty status, I will go with who is the bounty manager. It's very necessary to check if they have hired a professional bounty manager or with a new or less popular one.
For example, if we look back at Yahoo bounty campaign, mb8coin was the last one he managed and that one was huge successful for bounty hunters. Rewards were distributed correctly. People got some good amount from the bounty.
On the other hand, it's also important to escrow the bounty reward, there are some example of not distributing the reward. But if the reward was escrowed, that's not going to happen.
