1181  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bitcointalk PSL T20 Pool and discussion. on: March 01, 2020, 04:26:43 AM
What a wonderful performance by Rilee Rossouw! Shocked
I would say what a wonderful performance from Roysesuper aka Royse777. He is getting amazing performance on the pool in round 2 while deadley got 2 point so far from Round 2.
PSL is much unpredictable than I thought. So far, I have missed points on matches which I was confirmed to get.
1182  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Other Coins Halves too on: March 01, 2020, 04:22:10 AM
Altcoins halving are never subject to any changes in the price. Halving refers to the scarcity level to be increased. In case of the altcoin you shared are not going to create that scarcity and as a result no price changes will come in unless they have a significant adoption.
1183  Economy / Economics / Re: Can corona virus or any other epidemic disease can collapse Banking? on: March 01, 2020, 02:00:11 AM
But coronavirus?  I don't think so.
I was not only reffering to coronavirus, but all other epidemic disease which may be seen in the future. However, don't take this corona virus such easy. Countries dependent on China are suffering heavily. You can see some stats on such countries.
1184  Economy / Economics / Can corona virus or any other epidemic disease can collapse Banking? on: February 29, 2020, 05:11:35 PM
Imagine Corona virus or any epidemic disease affected globally. As a result, all the economy will be affected and people will face hard time. Will not it bring an affect in economic balance? Which will turn into high inflation globally and it will result collapse of the banking system. Will it? In my country, the situation is getting worse for product which we are depended on China. I can see a significant inflation here if Corona Virus issue continued.
1185  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin and Diamond on: February 29, 2020, 04:59:30 PM
I think you should read diamond and water paradox articles spread throughout the internet, and maybe you, yourself can answer your own question about diamond and water as total utility.
Both Diamond and water are limited but due to the huge supply of water, it makes water less precious than Diamond although water has utility while Diamond has not.
Quote
I don't know what you are trying to say that people are buying diamonds out of their emotion, cause if you are rich then might as well invest on something that you can afford.
Keep investment apart from utility. Both are different. Diamond has no utility so users purchase out of their emotion.

It is better than btc I think because it is more on rarity and quality of the diamond you have(save for the quality is the size of your diamond).
Not true at all. Value of commodity or any other things depends on utility first and then comes the availability. Both bitcoin and Diamond are limited in supply but Diamond has no utility.
1186  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why do people compare betting and investing in bitcoin (in terms of risk)? on: February 29, 2020, 02:41:08 PM
Because they have been introduced with bitcoin in a wrong way. This is happening all around the world and very few people know the inner bitcoin which has a lot of utility than fiat. Most people knows BTC as a money making/losing machine.
1187  Economy / Economics / Bitcoin and Diamond on: February 29, 2020, 02:18:02 PM
I have tried to search for this term to see if anyone has written something integrating bitcoin with the precious metal diamond? But due to the fork coin Bitcoin diamond, I didn't find anything.
Diamonds are not precious if you think about utility. The utility level is very low and people purchase it from emotion.
Can we make a demand supply curve for both Diamond anr Bitcoin and bring both in one line?
1188  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: To ALL the cryptocurrency and blockchain project OWNERS! on: February 29, 2020, 01:45:42 PM
Ask the question yourself "where most of crypto lover meet?". If you are looking for promoting your project, you can have some direct contract with project having information on crypto like CMC, coingecko etc. That's the best way I think.
1189  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bitcointalk PSL T20 Pool and discussion. on: February 28, 2020, 04:31:59 PM
Whom you are going with for this next match. Lahore Qalandars are yet to win in this tournament.
They LQ really have no good team to be honest. Their bowling site is not that good at all. I think they will not win a few matches even.
It's raining there, if nothing unexpected happen, Peswar will win the match.
1190  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Insider trading on: February 28, 2020, 04:25:06 PM
I am not supporting insider trading here because this is both risky and unethical practice. I have tried to make point that you should figure insider trading and shouldn't go with such a coin because the insider will dump on the new investors face.
1191  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: I have bought Yoda and Alisa. Should I continue holding them? on: February 28, 2020, 04:15:03 PM
You should know that yoda is a coin made by yobit which has no blockchain and no eexistence in reality. They have created the coin out of nothing and it has no real value other than pump and dump by yobit itself.
1192  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Insider trading on: February 28, 2020, 03:56:47 PM
From the points of business ethics, information must be publicly disclosed which have direct influence on the market. This is normallly done by projects but there are some trades go on which is based on the news yet to be aannounced publicly.
Say, you are an employee of Binance. You know coin X will be listed in Binance after 7 days but this is yet not annouced publicly by neither Binance nor by the project.
We can easily expect that most of the times, Binance listed coins get instant pump and it's possible to get 20% or more even within a day.
Since you know the news before public, you can invest heavily before the news is announced and sell with a higher price when the news come and people jump into it.
This is kind of insider trading but not limited to. I have used an example of unethical behavior from only an employee who can be unethical but it will not be a surprise if a lot of the employees or someone from the projects do it.
This is very risky. You can also figure it our easily. Like, after annoucement just check what was the price changes before the news was publicly announced and try to get the causation of the pump. If there's no other variable having causation, it's certain that it's an insider job and you must not invest into that coin at that time because the price will fall shortly than you can imagine..
As I said, "The altcoin market is more complex than you can think of. You will be scammed which will not look like scam at all and will look everything normal to you."
1193  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Coins listed on Binance through the community coin vote show 24% price decrease on: February 28, 2020, 03:44:29 PM
This case seems to be an insider job which is very common in the coin listing. Initially before listing, either someone from the team or Binance had invested heavily and threw on face later.
1194  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Please help! Is this scam or not? on: February 28, 2020, 03:36:12 PM
Base on the transaction history of that address, I might say yes, they might send you the token or maybe no. But seriously, for what reason you will send eth to them? That token seems spam and there's no future of it, it doesn't even have any information on their contract address such website, and social media links -> https://etherscan.io/token/0x05007434B72A5E99348186F45fcd3660917Da683
This is a new tactic to rip off some eth. I have seen such things one time earlier. The project owner ask for little amount of ETH for sending some shitcoins. This little amount from a large amount of people get a good amount at the end.
So, this is a pure scam. As I always say, "altcoin market is more complex than anyone can imagine. You will be scammed but you never will realize that you have been scammed."
1195  Other / Meta / Re: Post several topics (threads) in the adjacent time on: February 25, 2020, 12:21:04 PM
AFAIK, this for posting under a thread.
Yeah exactly. If someone is posting in a same thread continuously, that's forbidden. Or if someone is creating thread one after another for markering purpose, that's kind of spam. I think none of this happened here. So, it's okay. But that's something for increasing poat count? Someone with interests in the forum wouldn't have interest creating a lot of threads constently.

Edit
You beat me Findingnemo, I thought you have written the short line only.
1196  Economy / Reputation / Re: Just some Busting on: February 25, 2020, 11:49:33 AM
So as a DT and Merit source of the Local board, what can you say about the case of ban evasion with sheenshane? Do you still need to hear his side? Or you just don’t want to give negative trust?
Ban evasion doesn't need negative feedback. Report this to moderator and they will ban him. DT or MS has nothing to do here. DT are for tagging scammer and likely to be scammers.
1197  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bitcointalk PSL T20 Pool and discussion. on: February 25, 2020, 10:32:58 AM
In Round 1, you picked 6 / 7 outcomes correctly, which was better than the 2,251-strong community's average of 3.13 / 7. You are Spartacus.

This is what I got,

I also think Zalmi has better chance than Multan Sultan.
You have done pretty good job and it will be very hard to catch you for us. I am still 3 points away from you. 6 correct outcomes out of 7 is significant of course.

Congrats UmeerIdrees, you deserve it my bro.
1198  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ✅ [ONION] DeepOnion ✅ Your Privacy Coin with Real Use Case ✅ Show me ONION News! on: February 25, 2020, 10:09:40 AM
lmao, sick volumes bros  Roll Eyes  Roll Eyes  Roll Eyes
we have best holders in cryptoworld  Cool  Grin
But that sucks, we can run a trading competition along with a promotion of any exchange. A deal with Kucoin for a trading competition would be a good idea I think.

Good opportunity to get a listing on Binance. I just sent my vote for DeepOnion. We need the support of all the community to win this one! Let´s do it!  Wink
That's a good chance. I have voted also. Did anyone from the team fill-up the form? I think it's very necessary to fill up the form as they will require the information later when evaluating the result.
1199  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: LOW CIRCULATION COMPARE TO TOTAL SUPPLY. on: February 25, 2020, 09:51:27 AM
you are still correct, the "circulating" supply is used in calculation of market cap not the total supply. you didn't need to go that far either, you can look at the first in the list (bitcoin) and see the circulating supply is used instead of the 21 million cap.

BUT the problem is with fake circulating supply. take one of the biggest shitcoins called XRP for example. a huge percentage of the supply they claimed to be "circulating" is instead locked up in their own wallets. so it is unreal. a lot of others like ethereum are also like this with huge premines.
Thank for the nice explanation. I didn't think that way. You are correct that projects are manipulating the circulating supply to increase the mcap which I was aware of but missed your point.
1200  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What is Market Cap on: February 24, 2020, 08:08:22 AM
Outstanding shares is similar to the total coin/token supply. Thus, market capitalization of a coin/token should be computed as total supply x current market price.

It's the same formula used in the post you are referring in the OP
The formula of multiplying total share or coins are not applied any of the coins' mcap in CMC. I have checked a few of the top 10 listed coins like ETH and other, each coin has used the circulating supply for calculating the mcap, you can check yourself.
There's a difference between stock mcap and crypto mcap- https://blockgeeks.com/guides/cryptocurrency-market-cap/#Stock_market_cap_vs_Cryptocurrency_market_cap
