241  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Trying to find a Sweet Bonanza Max win Video. on: February 25, 2024, 06:20:42 PM
Haven't seen anyone hit crazy multipliers in Sweet Bonanza yet. Heck, I rarely see streamers win something as big as 100x. Most of the wins I see are mid compared to other slots provided by Pragmatic, but a lot of gamblers still love Sweet Bonanza because its buy bonus feature is somewhat generous compared to other slot games out there. Even I seldom lose in the buy bonus feature of this slots and I don't know why.

Going back though, it would be cool to see an actual huge win from Sweet Bonanza and not just the regular 100x or 200x that streamers post in their channels.
242  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Jake Paul VS Ryan Bourland Cruiserweight 8 Rounds March 2 on: February 25, 2024, 05:49:52 PM
Dude's just trying to chase his dream by trying to see if he can go up against real boxers this time or not. His strategy of making a name against washed up MMA pros somewhat worked, but he couldn't carry his weight when faced with real boxers. Hopefully Bourland seals this deal and do another beating to Jake to get this man humbled and actually train and not fight for the clout or for the money. He has the basics covered but I don't think he has the heart on what he does.
243  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Aside from crypto ano pa pinagkakaabalahan nyo? (2) on: February 25, 2024, 05:05:07 PM

244  Economy / Gambling / Re: MetaWin.com | The First WEB3 Casino on: February 25, 2024, 03:41:25 PM
Just free enter, PILiHoo wins.
If a winner named PILiHoo is registered on the forum with any username, then I would like to congratulate him.
30 ETH or around $90,000 is a sensational win.

Additional input on this recent win. The winner just spend 0.2ETH on his 2106 entries which is insane ROI for him. This is the beauty of luck based competition since anyone has a chance the big jackpot compared to wager based that usually whales dominate the game.

I try to play to few days ago and manage to win 5$ on daily tournament despite I only wager small amount.

That's an insane win with a fraction of investment required. It would be nice to have a screenshot from the man himself and share the experience. Imagine winning against other whalers who probably have put in more in this tournament hoping they get the win. That must be a proud moment.

Anyhow, I'll try to see if my schedule frees up for next week's tournament. Seeing the updates in X makes me want to take a slice of the action.

I'm sure this gambler can afford to risk that amount, and he was just lucky enough to hit a huge prize. It might be more interesting if we also have winners coming from the forum so he can share his experience and probably techniques too.

Pretty sure that's just having huge balls and luck on your side. A somewhat deep pocket also helps, too. Wink
245  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why People Have Different Perception Of Gambling Operators on: February 25, 2024, 03:04:09 PM
The first one is affiliated with the government. People will view anything as 'legal' or 'good' when it is approved and has come from the government directly. For the second one, cockfighting has a long history in the Philippine society. Cockfighting is already around, making people lose their money way even before PCSO was found. That deep seated hate towards cockfighting is, IMO, carried over from generation to generation. Both are making people lose their money, but the other one is deemed legal because it is managed by the government while the other is not. Kind of a primitive outlook but that's what normal people perceive it.
246  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do You Phase Or Are You Slowing Down Your Gambling Activity When.... on: February 24, 2024, 09:47:12 PM
In the season of Lent, I usually take things easy and reflect on the activities that I do. I still gamble, but most of the time I'm out there just minding myself and trying to slow things down, be it work or whatever. I am not a devout Christian nor am I someone who is very religious, but I still follow and observe the activities of Christians all around the world in the season of Lent.

After that though, I still go back to my old habits, with a clear head and understanding that I am not to be consumed by these activities but rather I can put an end to it if need be.
247  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The shocking rate of women interested in gambling. on: February 24, 2024, 08:56:35 PM
Gambling has been used for socializing in recent times, and I guess that also adds up to the reason as to why women are drawn into gambling. Furthermore, it has been normalized in a lot of countries that it's no longer a taboo anymore. I see lots of girl streamers who play casinos and other gambling games online, and the men viewers don't even flinch or dare teach them what's right or wrong. I don't see it as alarming as long as they have the money to back up their activities and not get addicted with it. At the least, there's no longer a clear divide between men and women on this.
248  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Philippines SEC will Ban Binance. Effectivity End of Feb. 2024 on: February 23, 2024, 11:51:22 PM

249  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Makakatulong ba ang Charter Change Para Sa Adoption Ng Cryptocurrency on: February 23, 2024, 11:11:27 PM
250  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Surfaced: Email conversation between Satoshi and Adam Back on: February 23, 2024, 10:49:44 PM
But I'm a little bit surprised that Satoshi was already ready for Bitcoin's whitepaper release when he/she/they learned of Wei Dei's B-money. I thought Wei Dei's early work played a vital role early on while Satoshi was still conceiving Bitcoin. If not for Adam Back, Bitcoin would have been created entirely oblivious of B-money.

I have this suspicion that Satoshi wasn't well-connected with the rest of the gang. Of course, there wasn't only The Cryptography Mailing List, that Satoshi was part of, where the development of an electronic cash is abundantly discussed. There were several other lists. Satoshi might not be part of many of those.

I was also under the impression that satoshi knew about Wei Dai's B-money even before he created the inner workings of bitcoin. He knew Adam Back's work, so it should follow that he will also recognize the implementations of B-money from Wei Dai but alas that's not the case.

It's just amazing to learn that after all these years, people connect b-money to bitcoin as one of its inspiration only to learn that bitcoin was already in the works before satoshi knew that it even existed.
251  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gamble with what you can afford to lose can actually make a good investment on: February 23, 2024, 06:01:55 PM
People's reasoning regarding this is that gambling produces faster turnaround time for results, whereas in investments, it's trickling down for a long time before you can reap something. Most people who go the route of gambling to make money wants instant result, even though that's not possible most of the time due to the element of luck and chances involved. With investments, you are slowly building something, but at least it's being build and don't have a huge possibility of being destroyed any time soon.
252  Economy / Economics / Re: If being a graduate is the key to being wealthy, why are there poor graduates? on: February 22, 2024, 11:58:50 PM
Some of it has to do with the program that the graduate has chosen.

There are graduates that are getting a huge salary simply because their field is so specific and their niche only has a few people working on it. There are also those graduates wherein their field is oversaturated with people that's why the rates are extremely low This is why if you want to succeed by going the academic route, it's important to know if the field you want to specialize on has a lot of people already or not. If not, go for it, see if you'd like it, and stay in there for good to get the rewards eventually.
253  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Don’t play gambling with drugs or in half sleep on: February 22, 2024, 11:20:02 PM
These guys aren't really doing themselves a favor. They are just bringing themselves closer to a lot of losses financially. Better to gamble sane and with full focus and knowledge of what you're doing rather than letting drugs or drowsiness take control of your logic and decision making. I really don't understand the rationale behind using drugs or alcohol to fuel some activities. They're just foregoing their control to some chemicals luring them into the false sense of being invincible.
254  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Who's winning more casinos or gamblers? on: February 22, 2024, 07:00:04 PM
Casinos will always get the longer end of the stick.

Just imagine how much money they are getting from the withdrawal fees alone. Not to mention their house edge, albeit being set at 0.1% or similar, is still profitable for them. They might be just tossing the money around within the casino, but nonetheless they are posting good numbers because not everyday will there be a huge winner.

There's still a lot of depositors at the end of the day, and most of those depositors don't get their money back.
255  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What game will you choose for one shot big bet? on: February 21, 2024, 02:28:05 PM
Either parlay it in a sports bet--particularly eSports or basketball--or just go ham in slots. I've recently won good money in slots and I know it's just luck. I wouldn't bet it to be my saving grace though when I'm down a huge percentage of my bankroll and for it to pick me up from the dirt. I've seen it happen to other people, but I don't have the confidence nor faith that it can be the same for me.

As for sports betting, I can analyze games fairly well in basketball and eSports that I might get a decent money off of the remaining 10%. As for getting the bankroll back, it's something that I think would be a miracle however it's worth a shot with sports betting than casino games.
256  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Couple won the jackpot but split soon after! on: February 21, 2024, 01:58:01 PM
I never really know the whole story, and for all we know he could be telling lies, or she could be avoiding the truth. Anyhow, knowing they don't have conjugal responsibilities to each other, they should have went for the 50/50 split before actually leaving each other. Imagine winning that kind of amount, only to pay taxes and legal fees afterwards just because one is greedy enough to take it all instead of splitting the bill evenly. That's a clean $950k for each of them if they just went for the split, no lawsuits or publicity of their names involved!
257  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Casinos team identity on: February 20, 2024, 11:53:23 PM
Just like other huge companies, I don't think it's necessary to know who's who in the organizational hierarchy of a casinos except for its executives. The low-ranking employees don't need to have themselves exposed as they are doing what the executives ordered. At the end of the day, should a scam arise, people will be looking for the high-ranking officials to be put behind bars and not those underlings who are only following orders.
258  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A famous influencer lost more than $4000 in just 2 minutes. (2) on: February 20, 2024, 07:35:13 PM
I don't worry about this guy losing that kind of money so much. As far as I can remember, he also made a vlog showcasing how much eh actually earns in a month from his YouTube earnings and other streams of revenue and he's earning quite well (around $25-$30K). The rage was quite fun to watch, considering that this guy has been all talk ever since he started. Anyway, even rich guys like him get fucked by casinos and bad luck, so the same thing can happen to us normal folks who are looking for fortune in this fortune-grabbing activity.
259  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Demand for bitcoin exceeds supply by a factor of ten? on: February 20, 2024, 04:17:24 AM
You forgot to take into account the existing coins that are being traded in the market on the daily.

That 900 being minted daily is on top of the circulating supply, too, so there's no undersupply or overflowing demand happening as the circulating supply kind of fills in those demands. It also goes up and down every single time, and you can't expect a bear market to keep a consistent demand similarly to that of a bull run.

Now if demand somehow overshoots and most bitcoins in circulation already belong to a lot of hands, you know what's next. However in the mean time that's not happening, as there are still loads of bitcoin available for grabs in exchanges and people are still not having that extreme FOMO that occurs during bull runs.
260  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Owner of 8K bitcoin lost in landfill threatens to bankrupt local council on: February 20, 2024, 02:29:41 AM
What drives him is not logic nor reason but rather his insanity and regret. I don't understand how it would be the local council's fault if he trashed his hard drive knowingly. If he were to be granted rights to dive into the landfill and possibly get the hard drive, what are the chances that it's not severely damaged by corrosion and other elements? It's been years, and even the strongest metal, when exposed to the chemicals, moisture, and other such things in the landfill, will corrode or possibly even disintegrate. It's time to give up that 8k bitcoins. This dude is just moved by false hopes.
