Has anyone observed a shift in tactics on the part of the scammers? Are members still receiving reach outs via Telegram?
Changing my Telegram username to something non-guessable resulted in a complete drop-off in communications for me.
Not really here... Had one impersonator of a dev for a channel I'm in DM me yesterday, but just blocked and reported him... Just another day in telegramville here I guess. I'd like to add - I HAVE done some deals on Telegram with newbie members - mostly people from off forum just interested in one certain thing and can't PM me enough on here and are not willing to buy copper membership for a few PM's... Long story short, have met some really cool other people in the space that way, and also some people who just buy one thing then disappear. Never any problems though. And yes, I always ensure its' the same person I'm speaking with from here obviously, otherwise no deal.

@Mods, can we pin this as a one-stop discussion about scams targeting members of the forum?
For now, it's Telegram... tomorrow, it may be something else and it'd be good for everyone to have awareness.
Did you PM the mods? They are listed above in the top header.... Good idea, thanks!

Sorry not a bid, but I just wanted to add... Over the years, I've left/put bitcoin pennies of various years in: - Store "free" change cups
Dropped them in the candy row whilst paying for something else. woops! Thrown many into the beach and around such on the East Coast Hidden a bunch (Just a bit, still findable around many buildings just walking around on vacations and just in real life. Tossed them in random places people walk etc etc ... in the streets etc...
I guess my point is, Chris has given many of us the (fairly cheap!) way to introduce people to bitcoin in many different ways over the years, as I also give them to friends etc etc... I also recall: A photo contest in which I won a roll of coins with a RFID chip in it! All the awesome BCP doodles (There is a whole other thread for that), and the annual DDP project! Anyhow, I've always supported bitcoinpenny since I first came here and quite proud to have a pretty good collection, and have hoped to meet him someday as well! I'd bid on behalf of our funny old friend TMAN with the word "BALLS", but I guess we've been there and done that already, but it always still gives me a good chuckle! Sorry for lack of links here... but I'm just rambling as well. Cheers again chris and thanks again for all you have done for bitcoin over the years... And ofc... The snazzy warm hoodie! owl

IMO, most people who get scammed on telegram just use the "Default" application settings, which allows anybody to add you to a channel IIRC... So... TURN THAT SHIT OFF, FFS!!! Take note of ALL your settings, as it's also easy to give out your phone number if you are not careful with contacts and such. Good luck to all, and cheers! Oh shit I missed this!! There are scammers everywhere you have to be on your toes. I went to Major restaurant chain store couple weeks ago to try out something new on their menu. My card would not swipe (Bent) so I gave her my CC. By hte time I got home (30 minutes later) there was $1,000 in tennis shoes and a Pandora Bracelet charged to my account lol. The Bank took care of it but wow .. they are everywhere
How does that have to do with telegram? Don't you know anybody next to you can skim your swipe strip on your debit/cc card without RFID shielding on your actual "pocket" wallet.. Any more details on what happened? That sucks and I know the pain / hassles it causes firsthand lol

Sunday evening bump. Is $125 shipped asking too much? I figured with the grade is was a fair price but since I did not even get a ping on this now I am not sure. Talk to me people. Too much BTC or just nobody interested?
-Dave
I'd have trouble getting 100 for it on ebay myself, so that's all I can say... Sorry. Edit - the 1/4oz thing I think turns some people off to that kind of price I guess... /shrug Coin reseller market is tough right now.

You can DM theymos and ask him to blacklist you from DT1, that will let you just focus on your own dealings without much issue being taken from anyone else. I did, never looked back, never been happier on this forum I'd merit this if I had any to give, as it is the real solution to avoid drama and still be on DT2 at least. I will eventually do it, but not yet, as I still care about this forum. BTW, Hope you are well Hhampuz, ping me sometime, feels like it's been years!

I tried, i couldnt find it on there. they are 1000's serial number
Only addresses that have had transactions will show in walletexplorer, so that's not going to work for by the sounds of it... I have bought lealana buyer funded coins directly from smoothie. He provided all the addresses for the coins. If address list is lost AND coin is not funded..your not going to find public key unless you reach out to previous owners or smoothie. If coin is loaded..then enter firstbits on walletexplorer
If you peel holo...you will find the private key underneath.
I fixed one part for you... https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5298712.msg55824123#ignmsgbttns6:~:text=People%20who%20hold%20Lealana%20coins%20that,their%20addresses%2C%20just%20to%20be%20clear.) I hope you can get it from the original seller, as smoothie will likely ignore your request unless you were the original purchaser.
