I have the autograph set 13/50 with the 31 autographs of coin makers and holos. I'm looking to add them to the book. Thought Id look for a rare copy to use rather than buy a regular one. So I think I've seen pictures of the one your describing. Its a soft cover right? Is it in good shape? I'm interested if you want to send pics. Probably just need one book unless you think set should stay together? What do you think? I think the rest of the autograph sets were done in hardback though. I respect your opinion tell me what I should do, lol. This will be an awesome collectable when done. Think about what you want for it.

Yes it is a soft-cover - It is in perfect shape, somehow (?!) - I believe many of those books were damaged in shipment, but I may be confusing it with the first hardcover edition... 🤷‍♂️

So... Now you are where I was a few years ago... I also thought about grabbing s sig set as well, but honestly, I never thought it would be a good idea since as you mention, those were really made for the hardcover first edition (Correct me again if I am wrong), so I didn't see them "fitting" together that well, given the size of the softcover is also smaller... I will try and pull it out of storage and see what number it is. Again, I really don't know what a fair value would be for this, but I'm inclined to ask along the lines of .1 or something... I believe that anything "Casascius" is worth much more than people are currently paying, and I think that will continue, but hey, just my own asshole's opinion ofc! Grin

Cheers!
982  Economy / Collectibles / Re: Serious Question - What do you guys recommend? on: April 12, 2022, 02:49:04 AM
Is a coin more valuable graded or in its original packaging? Pros and Cons? What do you personally prefer?

Graded. Always, unless that "original" packaging is something ultra special I guess to give it more value without being taken out.

Ungraded coins carry the risk that they are not as good in quality as they may seem from pics alone, IF you are planning on getting them graded and expect some sort of grade greater than MS(X).... Ask anyone who's gotten raw coins graded i guess? ... Tongue

Disclaimer, I'm not here to argue with you about your denarium-delusions -  you asked a simple question, I gave a simple answer. Cheers.

Hey family,
Looking for an early version of the encyclopedia. 1st edition or other special copy. Mike Caldwell version? Just seeing whats out there. Probably out of my price range but thought id ask.
Dane

I have one 1st edition of those....

I've never seen one sell so no clue what it's worth, but I admit I do cherish it quite a bit.  Grin

Neat thing about those - They have a hologram with a private key under them on the center of the cover of the book (unloaded ofc) - I recall having to PM Elias to have him send me the public address a few months later.

Now that I think about it - I also have the corresponding serial to his second book ... Huh ... So this would be a 2-book set I guess... Also, no personalized autograph(s), all generic since given the choice at the time! Cheesy ....  Super rare for sure, I often forget I even have them lol! Cheesy

If really interested, let me know. Again, not sure what this would be worth,... I do have pics of the first few pages proving the serial and autos someplace, my order/reservation may also be still out there on one of Elias's old threads as well.. Not sure TBH ... Tongue

Cheers!

Hi haloxon, thanks for the good questions! Wink

Quote
- will the old open orders (q1/2021) also be processed?

I'm unaware of any open orders by you personally, so I will pm you after this post. Wink

Quote
- will the history series be resumed retroactively with all the 'missing' months since the series has been stopped or resumed at a specific upcoming month lacking the months in-between?

Yes, it will start back at Q2 2021. We will publish a roadmap. Smiley

Quote
- good old fashion "just btc" for one denomination (50 euro) or advanced mode "different cryptos for different denominations" (e.g. ADA in 50/100/250 euro) again?

Good old fashion "just BTC" for 50 euros like it was (for now). Smiley

Thanks again!
998  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [COLDKEY] Project status on the 16th Mar 2022 -- owlcatz, welcome on board 🥳 🚀 on: March 30, 2022, 08:52:16 PM
Hi everyone!

Thank you all for the well wishes, it's been crazy and a lot of fun so far!

Just a general update on the ongoing (slightly delayed) reboot of Coldkey:

Since I started working with Yogg on this project, I've helped him identify many areas where things must be improved - MOST importantly, this means no more sales of cards that are not 100% ready to be shipped in a timely manner!  Secondly, we are committed to NOT making mistakes (Which of course is not 100% possible, but we will try our hardest)!

Now that I understand much more about the amount of work, care and effort that must be put into each order/card, we have both realized things must be changed / streamlined in different ways, including a "Road Map" we are both working on for future releases/surprises/exciting things we have planned. Wink

We did get a few packages sent out, but then Yogg fell sick the other day with a viral infection, and has been resting a bit, but is now back on track, and he should have everyone's order out by this weekend or Monday at the very latest. (Some of these orders also contain some older orders for some users as well, which ofc slowed things down a bit too). Sad

This will not happen again, trust me.  Roll Eyes  We are now 100% committed to Customer service & satisfaction being #1 - That said, the next releases of Coldkey's will be 100% ready to ship upon sales, and will be shipped promptly upon ordering, website or not. Wink

Upcoming Things to Note & Small Announcements:

Bitbills sales thread 2 ETA: 3rd week of April

History Series Serial Numbers  Shocked

For those of you collecting serialized sets of the History series, we are going to continue to offer people their current serials moving forward. (As for how exactly that will work/cost, Please do not ask yet, as we do not know, but it must be continued for the greater good)!

So, you can rest assured your current/prior serial number will be there moving forward. Smiley

We are a year behind on the History series, so that is going to resume slowly, but we also still need more time to fix the website, and to get the back end processes straightened out so that self-funding of cards is again possible upon receipt of the physical card in the post.

Thank you all, and again I am very sorry things are not going quite as planned, but rest assured, within the coming month things will be back, and will be running much smoother & quicker. Wink

I will be reaching out to a few of you with Tracking info tonight, and the rest a few more at a time each day until all are sent out by Monday... Thank you again for your patience and understanding as we move to make coldkey a well-oiled machine, and again, thank you for your support! Smiley

Cheers!

999  Economy / Reputation / Re: A Bitcointalk accounts seller advertising on: March 30, 2022, 04:23:53 AM
My concern

You did well by identifying this unethical business in the forum but I have these two concerns;
~snip~

Your concerns are invalid -
Quote
1. You have indirectly advertised the supposed account sellers business. Especially with links to it, he can possibly have more customers or victims.

1. No - Not really, people will find what they want to find if they search. Roll Eyes

Quote
2. Should a highly trusted account be sellable, won't it cause a huge.  disaster in the forum?

2. Yes. This is WHY I have tagged the account. I Will be watching, no worries Wink

Quote
I don't believe that the account with such specifications is available for sale. I also think the price is outrageous. Only someone with a scamming intention will patronise the seller.

To your 3 points above:

1. Probably not - Thats why its a likely scam.
2. Agreed, it's why it's another sign of a scam. Roll Eyes
3. Of course, and it's why the account must be tagged, IMO.

Quote
I can be a bait to hack someone's account, please avoid that user.

  - Your google translate is failing you, ffs man... Roll Eyes

Holy shit balls - How many fuckin' times are people gonna lose massive amounts of money to stupid fucking gambling sites? Anyone with more than 100 USD in there is just a fucking dummy - Not your keys, not your coins, FFS... Sorry, but these threads get old fast... Open your eyes, this is nothing new. No site wants to make large payouts if they can find a way not to! Tongue
