I think the problem is not entirely in Graham Potter of course he has the capacity to become a coach in the Chelsea team because he also has a track record
I think one of the reasons is that the players in the squad are not entirely what he wants I mean there are some target players who have not been brought in
I will prefer to see Potter staying at Chelsea until next season and let him get the target player.

Coach is not really the problem of Chelsea currently, the board needs to look into the quality of players they have at Chelsea now. The defense line is flopping, the mid field is missing the presence of Ngolo Kante, the attackers are not consistent, they need to explore the transfer market when the transfer window opens. Even the best of coaches can’t make out anything with this quality of players.

I think the coach is the problem he has one of the best players in the world and he dosent know how to combine them well i think sacking Tuchel was a big mistake he should have had more time and Potter should have stayed in Brighton where he had everything.

Emotional to see how Djokovic has been received by the public in Australia. He received a standing and big ovation for his return. You can ask yourself whether he deserves that, but people are there as tennis enthusiasts. He played a practice match against Kyrgios. Nice to see that 2 children were also allowed to participate in a double game competition. Kyrgios - Djkovic could also just be another match at the tournament. The public is of course completely behind Kyrgios because he is playing this tournament in his home country. Djokovic is the big favorite here. Alcaraz will not participate.

Djokovic deserved this by the crowd after what happened to him last year and he has a big group of serbian fans there aswell so things are much easier for him and he can feel like is playing at home. Never expected this two players to get a long after what happened in the years before.

Starting XI here, source: https://twitter.com/juventusfc/status/1613971874362294276

Good to see Chiesa in the starting XI, before Injury was easily a 100m € player.

Game starting soon.

Good lineup for Juventus and i think they can win and continue their streak. This is the match that can decide the league if Napoli wins i think its game over for o most all other teams at the chance for the title. Probobly a low scoring match because Juventus rarely concedes goals.

Some media write that Manuel Neuer has not broken his lower leg. Instead it is is said that he has an open tibia and fibula fracture. If that were really the case he would probably not be back in the summer. That would therefore also be a reason why Bayern Munich is not just looking for a temporary solution for the second half of the season.
Yea, I've also been hearing these rumors about Neuer's injury and it's definitely something to keep an eye on. If the reports are true and it's indeed an open fracture, it would certainly change the game for him and the team. But let's not jump to conclusions just yet, Neuer has been working hard with the medical team on his recovery and it's not clear if these new rumors align with their plan (but I guess we will find out soon tbh).

If Neuer's injury is worse than we thought (and what's officially reported), it makes sense that Bayern would be looking for more than just a temporary solution for the rest of the season. Nevertheless, that's all speculation rn. Personally I hope he gets back on track sooner than later.

I obviously want Neuer to come back from the injury quickly. But I am not sure how severe the injury of Manuel Neuer is. I also have been hearing that he is injury is a lot more severe and serious than was first expected. If that is the case why Bayern Munich is not looking for a long-term solution?

Can it be that they are not looking for a long-term solution because they know that the injury is not as severe as people are thinking?

If the injury was so serious I think they would have looked for a goalkeeper who can potentially replace Neuer with much more intent.

Neuer wont return probobly until next season. I think this season is over for him. Well they have a couple of reserve goalkeepers that can make up for Neuer. Neuer is getting older and they should maybe look for a quality replacement but i think its still early he has a few more years in him.

I don't think we even need to talk about tonight's game. Galatasaray will not lose points against a simple opponent like Hatayspor after the big win in the last match. Right now they have a huge advantage in the championship race and I don't think they will do anything that will cause them to lose points in simple matches like this.
They may even want to score a goal quickly and ensure that they will win the match. I think we will watch 2-3 goals Smiley

Galatasaray will easily win against Hatayspor they are leading 3-0 at halftime and the result is still in the second half. Another easy win for them and they are really close to winning the title. They are playing really good and might score one more goal by the end of the match.

Real Madrid seems to deny the rumors about Harry Kane, good for them overvalued player. (IMHO)

Besides that, not a single rumor from Liga, Germany, Italy, or France.

Only Premier is doing something in this session.

Benzema is still the main striker and i dont think even if they were intrested that Kane would just leave like that and move to Real Madrid to be a second striker and be a lot of the times on the bench. He is closer to Bayern Munich ,but i think in this transfer window nothing will happen regarding him.

Makes you wonder what Potter could have achieved with Brighton if he stayed through the season  Roll Eyes

What a huge mistake by him. He wanted to join a big club so badly and will probobly get sacked real soon. With Brighton he could have done big things but i guess he wanted that big step that Chelsea had and it was a huge bite for him. This season might be over for Chelsea.

Having won the FIFA World Cup, Leo Messi scores his first goal for PSG since returning to the club. A couple of outstanding saves by the Angers goalkeeper kept the score down for PSG, who won 2-0. So far this week, we have three wins and a draw. PSG has widened their distance back from Lens after losing 3-1 to Lens, a difference of 6 points they should maintain.
Angers is a team that doesn't fight back, but they only survive not to concede many goals by Messi cs. Messi scored 1 goal and contributed to Ekitiki's goal in the 5th minute of the match. Messi was brilliant for his first game after the World Cup, he was very entertaining and his form is really good.

Lens also couldn't do much in his last match against team that won only 1 match out of 18 matches. Strasbourg managed to hold Lens to a 2-2 draw at that time and thus PSG managed to widen the point gap to the current 6 from Lens. I don't think there's really been an incredible amount of pressure on PSG after their first defeat of the season against Lens, which was obvious against Angers.
There were good expectations from PSG and their attack for having the good number of goals but right now they are not playing with their full approach because they are trying to have balance in their game and players also need to be fit for the next games which are going to be tough Angers is having no win from their last 10 games, and they are having the worst defense but still we have only two goals from them PSG with Messi is also now in action after having tag of GOAT with win of the world cup 2022 in Qatar.

Lens held against Strasbourg which is currently above the Angers and having first point after break but with the current form and quality of Strasbourg most chances they could be relegated because they have no enough quality and performance in first half of the season.

PSG just played like they are all old guys and dont want to waste their strength. They won 2-0 easily but if they went with full power and attacked the entire game it could have been 7-0 or more. If Angers scored from one of those good chances i think that PSG wouldnt win that game easily. But still another win for PSG and i think they just want to focus on the champions league.

Huh, just found out Osaka's withdrawn. No need for further comment, well documented in this thread. Didn't one of the Williams win a GS while a couple months pregnant?

Anyway: Jabeur's gotta have my money but my bookie's actually not opened Women's outrights yet (what?) so it's Nadal as my only outright (caught at sweet 12/1 odds but it's actually more like 14/1 now haha).

Osaka dosent play a lot in the last year or so and that is just dissapointing. I expected a lot more from him and she just dosent play. Swiatek and Jabeur are clearly the favorites in the Australian Open this year. Swiatek maybe down in form so i would maybe choose Jabeur aswell with how good she is playing.

Graham Potter would be wondering if he’s jinxed at the moment with these injuries and the red card to Felix. Everything isn’t just working out right for him so far at Chelsea. Honestly I am tempted to say that Todd and Graham Potter are badluck to Chelsea, nothing seems to be working for them. Joao Felix was the best player on the field and now he was sent off. I can't wait for this phase to be over.
Chelsea have to admit Fulham's greatness and it looks like they lost points again in this match, especially after Felix got a red card it's getting harder to turn things around, I think Chelsea really have to overhaul all the players and even the coach so they can get even better

They are just terrible. Mistake after mistake for Chelsea and i think some big changes needs to happen in this team and management. Joao Felix already dissapointed the fans and the club with a red card that killed the game for them. Fulhams dreams for europe are real now.
1071  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: January 12, 2023, 08:35:21 PM
Another good start to the evening for Chelsea. Out at Fullham, they face a 1-0 deficit after half an hour of play. A very long season for Chelsea. I think Chelsea will score some goals or maybe a draw. Chelsea is falling further down the ranking in this way. United seem to be in the best shape at the moment and are actually third having played a game less. The gap to City and Arsenal is significant, but they will both drop points in the next game. Especially from Arsenal I am curious if they can keep up the level.

Fulham without Mitrovic is playing good today and with the 1-0 lead thinks are looking really bright for them and i think they might win yet another match in the epl. While Chelsea are just awful. Potters dosent know what he is doing and to make things worst he has over 8 players injured for this match.
1072  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io's English Premier League Football Pool Discussion Thread on: January 12, 2023, 06:51:38 PM
Well, he'll get some minutes; he's been training ahead of the Fulham game, and I'm tempted to stake a few cents on him to score @6.20.

Going for a 1-2 CS  @8.60
My favorite Chelsea insider claims that Joao will start. Seemed a bit unlikely to me since he just arrived but Chelsea has so many injury problems that I guess it has to be possible.

Line ups will be known in about half an hour so that is perfect time to play that bet if you belive in him. As soon as it is known and before odds start dropping.

I think 1-2 is really realistic . Fulham is playing without their main player Aleksandar Mitrovic and they might win this finally. Fulham wont give up on their attacking but without him they arent that good . So Chelsea can finally win something. Went with 1-2 aswell.

Saturday's transfer gossip:

Barcelona and Netherlands forward Memphis Depay, 28, wants to rejoin Manchester United six years after leaving Old Trafford. It seems to me that Barcelona is giving up a very good player too easily. Is the reason the club's financial debts?
I think it's more to get rid of some players who are not really used at Campnou.
Now Depay's condition at Barcelona is really hanging because he won't be able to do much when Lewandowski is still there so Depay is indeed on the list of sales in this transfer.
On the other hand, were Manchester United really frustrated that they brought Depay back? He's not bad but for the Premier League I think he's going to struggle again in the end.

Its obvious that Barcelona wants to get rid of Memphis Depay because of his salary. I dont know why Man Utd would want Depay he isnt having much playing time plus not in form so he would probobly be a bench player. I dont know if that is a good move for him i think he should go back to Netherlands where he can be the main player.
1076  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: January 07, 2023, 08:36:20 PM
The way I see Manchester United I think they can play a draw game with Manchester City, Manchester United have much confidence to play with any big team right now. City are capable of winning the game but it won't be easy for them to achieve victory.
Manchester United are absolutely brimming with confidence right now, Rashford and Casemiro are playing at a very high level, and it is safe to say that Erik Ten Hag has found a winning formula for this Manchester United team, City on the other hand aren't at their best right now, they didn't shine so well against Leeds (though they won), struggled to breakdown Everton (which they drew), and just managed to win Chelsea by a lone goal, City are definitely not flying and this might be a good time for Manchester United to play them. Having said that, City won the first leg 6-3 at the Etihad, now they travel to the home of their bitter rivals Old Trafford, and i am pretty sure the fans would be pushing the Red Devils for a welll needed revenge on that day.

Manchester United is in better form then City so this will make things a lot more intresting. City needs the win more then Man Utd because they cannot lose points against Arsenal. City still is struggling a lot with the results lately but they know how to play this big matches and i think they might win against City in that match.

It wasn't an easy victory for Besiktas truthfully. There were again weaknesses in their defense as usual. Kasimpasa had many dangerous attacks because of that. Fall was like the most effective player at Kasimpasa today. It was obvious that he was going to score or make an assist with his great play. His assist was really nice and Atiba's mistake caused this goal to be scored. Mert and Ertugrul both had a really good performance despite the goals. Weghorst's goal was impressive.

Kasimpasa wasted a huge chance in the last minutes. Mert saved a really great header by Graovac. Besiktas need to do something about their defending to be consistent.

Besiktas with this big win keeps themself in the title race. If they lost points today against Kasimpasa they would probobly not catch up at all to Fenerbahce and Galatasaray. So now they still have a chance but it will be hard. Kasimpasa didnt take their chances and lost some points so they continue to fight not to get relegated.

Another surprise today in the fa cup. Sheffield Wednesday was able to win against Newcastle 2:1 and one of the top teams in the premier league is knocked out. Some incredible saves from Sheffield wednesday goalkeeper and they are third league tier and have just advance into next phase

A lot of people think that Messi's absence is consummately the cause of Psg unfriendly match results, but in my own opinion, I will say it's not. Messi's absence only contributes a little, and that's in the attacking arm. if PSG reduces dependency on the attack and so focuses on making the defense as powerful as the attack, it will yield a better result for them. But currently, the management hasn't made enough plans on bringing in a new defender, and this may affect their subsequent matches, Maybe then Messi will not be blamed.
i think that PSG have a decent defense, i'm not sure they can bring better players, you could name Van Dijk but i don't think he will be willing to leave Liverpool, i think their defense need chemistry and a better plan and this is the coach's job, to be honest i'm not happy at all with the managers PSG had so far, they just are more focused on bringing more players.

The problem is that neymar and messi arent running so other players need to run for them . I dont think they can being Van Dijk he probobly wont leave Liverpool that is playing in the premier league and in champions league aswell. PSG still needs more players in defence and needs to find before transfer window ends
