What's going on with Ajax? Now they failed to beat Volendam at home, one of worst teams in league. It's already their 7th game without a win in Eredivisie. Ajax had complete dominance, making over 900 passes, but Volendam manage to score with their first and only attempt on target in whole game on 59 minute.
After final whistle fans booed their own team, it says a lot... Ajax is still relatively close to the top, but with such performances they can't even dream about winning league.

honestly, I thought that he retired last season just looking at Murray with artificial hip, that is playing competitive is enough to judge current situation in tennis world in the end, it suits Djokovic great, he could get 4x GS this season easily with this competition if they allow him to play on US, and he probably thought that it is over when lost from Medvedev in 2021 on US Open Both Cilic and Murray are currently at the same level and now Murray even looks better then Cilic. Xabi Alonso is doing a great work with Leverkusen despite not being a very experienced manager. This is even his first serious management experience but he is already doing a very good work. This might be related to his experience in the Bundesliga as a footballer as well. But not all such managers are successful as a manager too of course - for example Lampard.
Maybe it is really difficult but Leverkusen can still increase their chance on finishing at a good position this season as long as they keep up a good form like this for a long time.

It must be very frustrating for Juventus players to be demoted to the 10th place by removing their 15 points. But I was expecting for a sanction about that scandal. They deserved this I'm afraid. They must be even thankful for not being dropped to the Serie B instead.
Of course it will be too difficult for them to even reach the 6th place from now on. There is a 12-point difference and there are many teams between. To be realistic I'd say that it's not possible. Juventus will just do their best to finish at a more decent place and forget about any European tournament. Of course they are still in the Europa League and they are a candidate for the title. Or they can join the Europa League again by winning the Coppa Italia title which is another option for them to maintain their presence in a European tournament next time also.
If they got kicked again from serie a to b would be really bad for them. But with -15 points now their europe chance are really low. Maybe to join the confrence league only . Galatasaray really made a good effort today. Icardi still continues to shine in league matches and he scored a lovely header in this. Galatasaray's second goal was really an unlucky one for Antalyaspor. Because Floranus targeted their goal while trying to clear the danger in their defense. Antalyaspor did their best especially in the first 20 minutes of the match. There was even a shot which hit the goal post. But even if they scored there I think Galatasaray would still make a comeback and win.

Bad days have restarted for Leicester after having some good time in the league. They lost their last four games and they might be likely to lose another one now.
Their next game is against Brighton home and it is another challenging game for them. Brighton are in a great shape now especially after destroying Liverpool. They would be very motivated for another win in this game while Leicester are not in a good mental condition. Leicester couldn't score even a single goal in their last two games. I wouldn't bet on both teams to score. I would rather betting on Brighton win as there is a quite big possibility. Their odd is very favorable now.

Real Betis has only played 16 times while Mallorca has played 18 times. Currently the points are quite close, but it could be even further if later these clubs can get a win. He still needs adjustments to get his performance back after not playing for quite a while but indeed the one goal he made in this match clearly gives him enormous hope in the future. He is still very young and he can still show back his skills that were lost a year due to healing.
Monza played very well and even they could have dominated but it wasn't enough for them in this game.
Juventus were very lucky that Federico Chiesa managed to score a goal so that they won and made Juventus get additional points at the top of the standings. As long as Juventus still have young players like Federico Chiesa, there is still a further victory that Juventus might be able to get in the next match because there is good potential from Federico Chiesa. Chiesa is one of their best players and it is expected from him to do the best. This is a good draw for Leipzig a big point against Bayern Munich not everyone gets easy points against them. This make the title race a lot more intresting and a good point for Leipzig but bayern Munich needs to do a much better if they want the title. |
