Question: Due to big HYPER projects like Poker site, giveaways, competitions, bounties and marketing the 500 000 HYPER MMO Development Fund will be at 450 000 HYPER soon. What should we do?
Keep sponsoring more awesome HYPER projects and spend it down to 400 000 HYPER and then preserve the fund at 400 000 HYPER - 115 (45.1%)
Limit spending (less HYPER projects) until the monthly staking brings the fund back up to 500 000 HYPER - 40 (15.7%)
Manage it how you like. HYPER seems to be going awesome keep it up! - 100 (39.2%)

I am working on getting the checkpoint notify developers message removed from the HYPER wallet ASAP!

It is just something in the code that is not needed; there is nothing wrong with the HYPER network or wallet at all everything is 100% fine.

I haven't received the checkpoint message yet, it could be that I have had the wallet open for a while now and it hasn't closed though.

Will there be an update to the wallet to make it more lightweight at some point? I can't really keep it open anymore to stake as it really bogs down my computer, and I by no means have a weak system. I would really like to continue staking on my own computer but until the wallet is less of a resource hog I will not be able to.

I have to agree with this.  I'm not staking at the moment but I might have considered continuing to stake if the wallet wasn't quite such a resource hog!  (Unfortunately, I do have a weak system!  Cry)

Although I do realise that the web wallet promises staking which will presumably be extremely lightweight!

A good short term solution is to just open the wallet once every few days (or even just once a week), and let it sync up and stake for a couple of hours. This works well as you have built a good network stake weight and should stake pretty much as soon as you open the wallet Wink

In the long term yes, we will look at getting the CPU resource usage down in a future update.

Dear PICISI sponsor,

For a limited time PICISI is offering each PICISI sponsor a FREE article about their entity in relation to PICISI.

Please note that the story need not relate directly to crowdfunding, or cryptocurrency, the most important factor is an informative and compelling story, we will figure out how to include PICISI, Pi, and/or other essentials.

I invite you to take advantage of the opportunity to put your entity, you, or someone else related to your entity in the spotlight.

Contact me via PM or here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1053613.msg11312978#msg11312978

Syncing like this takes forever, so it's a bit painful. To put it into perspective, if I leave the wallet closed for two weeks, it will take anywhere from 7 to 9 hours to sync up once I open it.

Really? That takes me like 1-2 hours and that's on a bad day!

But yes we do have some long term plans behind the scenes to reduce blockchain bloat. Watch this space.

I think the coolest thing would be if you can do a MultiHYPER. It would work great for all users as well.

https://github.com/langerhans/multidoge

That's the DOGE version of it, which someone may be able to alter to make it work for HYPER. It makes it easily to hold many different wallets, password them, import and export addresses, and allows for almost instant syncing.

That's a cool idea. We're looking into something a little different but thanks for the idea.

Tip for PoS coins to reduce the amount of CPU % used.

If you have been letting your stakes split, then you could have a large # of blocks.
If the # is in the 1000s , it will hog the cpu %.
Merge your blocks into fewer blocks and it will use less CPU %.
Get your Number of blocks below 100 and you should barely notice it.

If hyper does not have a link to using coin control,
try ours , it should be close enough to help you.

Any businesses that accept HYPER, any HYPER projects, they can all be mentioned in future PR.

If anyone who runs an online business or game wants to integrate HYPER and be mentioned in future PR please post here in the thread.

I hope it helps get even more HYPER projects happening Smiley

Also we should have a new version of the wallet out very soon to remove that incorrect error message. It is coming very soon!

saw the vid, liked it (was the second person to vote infavor), the above graphic is cool too.  You should certainly sign up to be a PICISI Promotions Contractor and a Campaign Contractor.

I posted your vid at the EMC2 thread, you can respond to it if you wish here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=494708.msg11324600#msg11324600
I would recommend posting the vid to all other coin threads indicated in the vid.
