21  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Joe Biden intention to veto legislation permitting banks to custody crypto. on: May 10, 2024, 07:35:59 PM
all governments will likely try to get hold of the control not just the US government. and time is running out because the adoption is also accelerating.

This is right, and a good example is what we saw in El Salvador with chivo wallet, they decide to make from bitcoin money but at the same time they find a way to custody the coins and to have control over the users. The risk about this is when hackers decide to attack the government just like it happened some weeks ago when the chivo wallet got hacked exploding all their users' data and even the source code from the wallet was exposed.

Customer identification and verification (KYC)

The formal identification of customers on entry into commercial relations is a vital element, both for the regulations relating to money laundering and for the KYC policy.

This identification relies on the following fundamental principles:

A copy of your passport, ID card or driving license, each shown alongside a handwritten note mentioning six random generated numbers. Also, a second picture with the face of the user/customer is required. The user/customer may blur out every information, besides date of birth, nationality, gender, first name, second name and the picture. To secure their privacy.

So, your casino doesn't after Anonymous gambling that's a fake claim.

But the fact that you bring the slots providers to telegram is awesome, +1 for your developers, they did an awesome job on this move, but what i don't get is why only limit the casino to telegram, if you already have a license the you could offer it on both platforms, Telegram and Web site.
23  Economy / Gambling / Re: Why they need a license if bitcon is not money? on: May 09, 2024, 04:53:12 PM
If the casino has a license, it is obliged to pay it. I think that they transfer crypto to USDT at the deposit stage or pay at the BTC price at the moment of tax payment!

I don`t know how they pay taxes. But if they have license, they have to show profit and pay taxes. I don`t know how to calculate it. We`re talking about it in the other thread, the result of discussion is that casino must convert cryptocurrencies in USD or local currency during the withdrawal. Gambler get cryptocurrency, and for tax service casino shows difference between deposit and withdrawal converted in USD. Of course we don`t know how it is in realty but it looks like the best choice for all.

As long as they're registered they are liable to pay taxes, the amount can be whatever the audit shows which can be the right amount or something they just want to show they're paying taxes and it's not just casinos almost every corporate finds way to pay lesser taxes. I am not an auditor so can't be sure how they keep track especially with the volatility of cryptos prices but they are supposed to do that as per the laws.

FortuneFollower, mak013 and Findingnemo, looks like you are wrong guys, since casinos are registered in curacao then they follow their tax rules, so, lets take a look to those tax rules:

Quote
There is no capital gains, dividend or inheritance tax in Curacao. This makes this jurisdiction extremely attractive for entrepreneurs who want to launch not only a crypto gambling project, but also engage in, for example, issuing tokens or exchanging and selling crypto. Regardless of the chosen crypto activity, you can avoid having to give most of your income to the government.
Source: https://lawrange.net/en/services/crypto-license-registration-in-curacao/#:~:text=There%20is%20no%20capital%20gains,or%20exchanging%20and%20selling%20crypto.

Quote
Curacao has become a popular destination for blockchain startups and cryptocurrency enthusiasts, mainly because of its favorable tax policies and robust regulatory framework. The island is a constituent country of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, which means it has access to the EU market but has a more business-friendly regulatory environment. There is no capital gains tax, no dividend tax, and no inheritance tax in Curacao, making it a haven for entrepreneurs seeking to launch their projects.
Source: https://fastoffshore.com/2023/04/forming-a-curacao-company-for-token-issuance/

This should be one of the main reasons why casinos choose curacao for the gambling licence, And this is crazy, we know Stake is a billion company and the fact that they don't have to pay taxes is just insane. But the gov should be making enough money from the gambling licenses, that's a fact.
24  Economy / Gambling / Re: Can gambling sites provide proof of auditing that was done on their RTP? on: May 09, 2024, 04:14:30 PM
The real question here is, should we audit the Casino RTP? I think that's a bad term because the slots games come from providers, is what we call a third-party... and that lead us to the next paradigm:

If a user on stake.com lose 1000 bets on the sweet bonanza slot, can a user from bc.game win big on that same slot? I'm not sure if the RTP is part of the casino or part of the slots provider, but that should be something to think about.
25  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A Max Win is the worst thing that could happen to you. on: May 09, 2024, 03:37:10 PM
Casinos has the right to request their users to do the KYC again at any time when they require more information from their players.
So there is no need to bother looking for a casino that is willing to do KYC at the beginning, because after done with the KYC it doesnt mean your account has been whitelisted.

There are still many casinos that have a good reputation and do not require KYC for withdrawals of less than $2000.

I think you have a good point here, if we do kick at the beginning but then abuse somehow or break the rules (with multiple accounts on the same IP is a good example) then our account can get locked, and the kick will not save us from that because we have broken the casino rules. So, the fact that we make the KYC process doesn't mean our account can't be locked.

But following this point, some casinos detect when users are cheating and they ask for KYC, after the process they lock the account explaining how the user cheats, and i think that's cruel, but maybe is a way to avoid the user cheats two times.
26  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🔥🔥🔥 BC.GAME - CASINO AND SPORTSBOOK | $1,000 GIVEAWAY LIVE! 🔥🔥🔥 on: May 08, 2024, 11:11:31 PM
Sharing my recent x1151 win on Pragmatic slot games. I’m not a fan of this provider but right now I’m already a believer after getting this huge win. I never thought that I will hit this multiplier on a fish game that frequently have low payout for me.

That multiplier with a $5 bet was really nice, is hard to see something bigger than x1000 in pragmatic, those big multipliers used to come often on Hacksaw, but is nice to see users winning those amounts.

And is the first time I see that variant of Big Bass, it should be new or at least one of the latest versions released by pragmatic. I will give it a try on my next deposit.

And about the fees, if it's 4% then that's too high, we are talking about $230 withdrawal fee for those $5758, not cool.

Ver:
https://invezz.com/es/noticias/2024/05/07/nigeria-prohibira-el-comercio-de-criptomonedas-de-persona-a-persona-para-proteger-la-naira/

28  Economy / Gambling / Re: Why they need a license if bitcon is not money? on: May 08, 2024, 09:04:44 PM
Casino get cryptocurrencies and get profit from using it. They have to pay taxes from profit. BTC can`t be used everywhere as a paying method. So it can`t be equal to the local currency. If it would be possible to pay with BTC everywhere - it would be possible to use it in some way like local currency and it can be possible to tax service to work with it.
Of course it is not a decision but it is the way how to adapt BTC to legalization.

How do you know they pay taxes from it? That's a tricky point of view because where does the profit come from? if you think about it part of the profit is from gambling, but the market price bump represents profit for the casino too, a good example is how the bitcoin price was at $16k on Jan 22, and right now is $64k, with that market change the casinos multiply their bankroll x4, so, if they have to pay taxes I'm not sure how would that work.
29  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Edward Snowden Final Warning for Bitcoin on: May 08, 2024, 06:01:28 PM

https://twitter.com/Snowden/status/1786170805728039127

Edwards Snowden just made a tweet with final warning for everyone that privacy for Bitcoin is needed on protocol level.
I tend to agree with him on this and I really don't understand why nothing has been done regarding that for years, unless this was done intentional.
Funny comment was made by Jameson that we might take another ten years to do this  Tongue
The clock is ticking...

It would be nice if he provide some example about how to implement, the privacy in the protocol. We have coins that already did it like monero and zcash, but maybe there are other ways to do this. But the problem is how big this change would be to bitcoin, it would hit the point where the coins is not bitcoin anymore, it will look like a totally different coin.

At this point, the governments are involved into bitcoin, and a change like this will not like them at all, this could make some governments like El Salvador, decide to stop using bitcoin and move to another coin like LTC.
30  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A Max Win is the worst thing that could happen to you. on: May 08, 2024, 02:47:35 PM
Question 3 is a tough 1. I don't think that the casino keeping the money would be money laundering, but could be considered theft. Then, the casinos could argue fraud on the players part and void any winnings. It's a mess to say the least and what's right or wrong is subjective.
I don't think that is the definition of money laundering per se, but gamblers are sure are a disadvantage if they don't want to send the mandatory documents just to be able get that big win.

You are right guys, maybe money laundering is not the right term, it's more like theft. And there is nothing the users can do because the casino is the one who decide the rules and the user must be agree to those rules.

Very well, most gamblers frown at the fact that they will need to fill a KYC documents before payments whereas their mode of winning have not been ascertained but how could a Max win be the worst thing to any gambler.
Normally every gambler is happy when attaining such wins but where they get it all worked up is when they are asked to do KYC to guarantee their payments and all that and that's where it becomes a worse nightmare for some cause they think it's a long process for them to cash out their wins.

Imagine you win $100k, then you have to do a hell of a KYC, it could be a week's process, and after that, the casino has a limit of $10k withdrawal/month, which would take more than a year to withdraw. We have seen some examples of this in the past. For sure the users lose part of that money before being able to withdraw all.
31  Local / Español (Spanish) / Re: [Noticia] Changpeng Zhao fue condenado a cuatro meses de cárcel on: May 07, 2024, 08:28:07 PM

Caso Nigeria.
https://es.cointelegraph.com/news/nigerian-officials-coerce-binance-crypto-settlement-scandal

32  Economy / Speculation / Re: Buy the dip people!!! Could be last chance for prices this low on: May 07, 2024, 08:09:25 PM
I don't think $68k is the deep, we saw some days ago how it went down to $61, and at any moment it could have a massive crash, is about a wale deciding to sell a big amount to send it down to $40k, remember there are some early investors who are holding a big amount of BTC, and if any of them decide to sell then the markets will be in pain.

Feels like the party is over, the right way to buy in the deep was 1 year ago when price were down to $16k.
at this point in time I believe that if you want to invest in Bitcoin you should know the actual time and the price Bitcoin will you find itself before you invest in Bitcoin sometimes we don't like to invest in Bitcoin when the price is going high and good investors like to invest in Bitcoin when the price is getting low so for now we have experienced a lot of increment in Bitcoin so there is no way bitcoin will a decrease to 16,000 in value.

I'm not sure about your statement, there are some scenarios where bitcoin could have a massive drop in the price. What if the Winklevoss twins decide to sell their bitcoins, for sure that would drop the price on a huge scale, and not only the Winklevoss twins can do that, there are some other whales who can do the same. Imagine Satoshi Nakamoto comes back and decides to sell his 1 million Bitcoin, which could send the price under $10k.

So, there are some scenarios where bitcoin could hardly crash.
33  Local / Español (Spanish) / Re: ¿Se debería de continuar el desarrollo en el código de Bitcoin? on: May 07, 2024, 05:49:04 PM
...

34  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Between females and males, who are more resistant to gambling losses?  on: May 07, 2024, 03:32:43 PM
Before answering the question, i would say is a tricky topic, because we live in an era where anyone can identify himself as the gender he wants. It's stupid, i know, but it's how it works.

Yes, you read right as the topic stated. Also, which gender do you think can easily give up on gambling?
Females, that's why we see more males in the casinos, the woman prefers to spend the money on other things than gambling.

Which gender will get worse when they are addicted to gambling?
Male, we have seen males betting their wives, but never a woman betting his husband.

Or do you think it's the same thing for every gender that is into gambling?
No, it is not the same, males are stubborn, and when they focus on a big win is hard to stop them.
35  Local / Español (Spanish) / Re: Freewallet es una estafa on: May 07, 2024, 02:49:11 PM

36  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A Max Win is the worst thing that could happen to you. on: May 07, 2024, 01:06:21 PM
I just read all your answers guy, it's a hot topic and I really enjoy looking at your different points of view.

This made me laugh. Smiley I've never heard of someone who's afraid of getting a Max Win.

Getting a max win is the hardest bit, mate, and the KYC process, however tedious it might be, is incomparably easier. Actually I know what you are talking about, I've undergone several unbelievably complicated KYC processes on various sites, but I finally succeeded in each of them. And it wasn't because I won some big amount, let alone anything comparable to a max win, in some cases it were just $50 worth of altcoins. In short, I am not afraid of getting a max win. I'm asking the universe: "Let me get it, I can handle any KYC process, just give that max win!" Smiley

This is part of the point here, sometimes the KYC process looks more like an excuse to hold the users' money, and sometimes casinos get to some absurd point like asking for the source of income, or rejecting user ID if is not the passport. From my point of view, sometimes this looks like searching for an excuse to not pay to the user.
37  Economy / Gambling discussion / A Max Win is the worst thing that could happen to you. on: May 07, 2024, 12:06:59 AM
Most casinos nowadays don't let you do the KYC process until they request it, this means you will not get KYCed unless a lot of money or fraud is involved, but it would be nice if users could do the KYC process before deciding if to deposit or not.

Well, this time i have 3 questions for the community, i want to see what people think about how gambling works nowadays.

If you could do KYC process before making a deposit, would you do it?

When a user wins a huge amount the real nightmare starts, the users have to complete the worst KYC process he will see in his life, so, should users be afraid of getting a Max Win?

Casinos ask for KYC to avoid money laundering, but if the gambler isn't able to give the requested data then the casino keeps the money. If the casino keeps the money isn't that Money laundering?
38  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Newbie (bitcoin node) on: May 06, 2024, 08:04:13 PM
Does the initial syncing mean that as time goes on it will take longer and longer to set up a node?

The blockchain is growing every day, so, from that perspective the sync process will be longer in the future, i mean, isn't the same to sync a 200mb node than a 900mb node, but is important to mention how the sync process has become more efficient in the last core versions, if you try to sync a bitcoin node with the 1 version of bitcoin you will see how it take months to sync.

I don't doubt there will be new a better sync process in the future, it would be awesome to see a pruned where we can choose the starting block, that would save a lot of time and resources.

Crash has been a really popular game since old times, at least since 2014 i remember there was a crash site who used to be the main site for this kind of games, if I'm not wrong the name used to be Bustabit or something like that.

And what i like about that game is the crazy high multipliers that it offers, most of crash games offer multipliers up to x100k and some up to x1M that's huge, it doesn't happen often but sometimes we see some of those crazy multipliers.
