602  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Fake casino streamers! Why such streamers are very popular? on: October 23, 2023, 09:11:34 PM
well, is totally different to see a streamer playing with $1k than a streamer playing with $9M... And that is why these streams are that attractive to users, because is crazy to see guys playing $50k hands on blackjack, or doing $100k bonus buys, is just a high-quality bait.

But i wouldn't say is fake money, streamers have a roll-over, just like the depo bonus rules, if they can bet the starting balance X times, then they can keep the money. Each casino have it's own rules about this.
603  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If someone holds 1 bitcoin in 2023, can he call himself rich ? on: October 23, 2023, 02:59:53 PM
If someone holds 1 bitcoin in 2023, can he call himself rich ? If not, how many bitcoins holding is equal to being rich in your opinion ?

To answer your question we have to define the "Rich" concept, i was reading a Forbes article that explains how the different generations have different concepts of how much you need to be rich:

Millennials (de 24 a 39 years): 1,4 mdd
X Gen (40 - 55 years): 1,9 mdd
Baby boomers (56 - 74 years): 2.5 mdd

And since BTC price is $30k then 1 btc is not enough to be rich, you need at least 45BTC to be rich with bitcoin.

605  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The end of Lightning Network? on: October 22, 2023, 08:43:37 PM
Peter Todd mentioned potential fixes requiring soft forks on the mailing list - https://lists.linuxfoundation.org/pipermail/bitcoin-dev/2023-October/022042.html

Shinobi says that the problem can be solved just with a few tweaks - https://twitter.com/brian_trollz/status/1715743794098753952

Quote from: Shinobi
Lightning is not dead, and this is getting silly as shit at this point. The solution to this issue is as simple as extending timelocks and rebroadcasting transactions regularly with a slight fee bump, or just handling pre-signed TXes in a different way.

The sky isn't falling.

It sounds like someone finds a bug and had to make some noise about it to make the devs make some changes, but as they mention "The sky isn't falling", but is a nice discovery. That guy should get a bug bounty.

We must keep in mind that if the bug is that critic then the blockchain would stop working, i mean if that guy could take all the mempool then he should do it just to test his theory. But there are some white hacks who always do the right think and report the bug before the attack.
606  Local / Español (Spanish) / Re: GPG Tutorial express en español on: October 22, 2023, 02:43:41 PM

What a day for Islam Makhachev!
It is not easy to beat Volkanovski and it is even harder to do it with a KO, but Makhachev proved he is better fighter after beating him again, and he made Khabib proud.

So true mate, it was a hard day for Volkanovski, KO in the first round was just brutal for a guy like him, but I totally understand why Islam attacked that way, he just wanted to avoid what happened in the past fight, so, this time he has to go all in.

And my prediction about the Russian guy on his debut was right, it was an easy x1.4 as I mentioned before, too bad I missed the fight, it was too early morning for me, but I will search for the replay. For sure it was a crazy one.
608  Local / Español (Spanish) / Re: StormGain on: October 20, 2023, 10:41:59 PM

609  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🥊 The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: October 20, 2023, 03:23:05 PM
But why no body is talking about the Debut fight from Shara Magomedov, that fight would be easy money, even if that guy only has 1 eye he is a crazy fighter.  It would be one of those fights to bet all-in and walk away with x1.42

From the main fight i don't know what to expect, i think Volkanovski will fight hard trying to KO Islam, but if he doesn't do it then the fight will be for Makhachev... By the way Usman and Volkanovski on a parlay is an x11.13, and I think is totally possible. We know how crazy the UFC outcome can be.
610  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tips on staying responsible. on: October 19, 2023, 08:29:01 PM
Well, the way to stay responsible is by following the next rule:

Never bet with money that you can't afford to lose.

If you always gamble with money that you can lose without getting in troubles then you will be fine in the long run, but when you start using the house rent or the money for food on a casino, then if a bad streak get's you it will be a complex problem.

And you have to decide what's the goal, it could be to have fun or make money, if the goal is to make money then big bets is the right way, even if you only have 5 attempts.

Tongue
612  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Online Casino Crypto gambling on: October 18, 2023, 03:24:47 PM
Does anyone here really utilize these online crypto casinos to place bets in bitcoin and have you had much luck with it?
I have been gambling with cryptos since 2014, and it was awesome to see the casinos evolution... they used to be really basic, no accounts, no KYC, users used to bet direct with bitcoin transactions. And luck is a rollercoaster, but i have hit some crazy multipliers in the past.

What have you found to give you the best odds in winning?
Games with 1% house edge was the best odds i ever see, but i feel like poker tournaments are a good way to win big with low amounts. Once i join to a $8 tournament and walked away with $300, but you need patience for those 3 hours tournaments.

Is there any skill involved in any of their games or is it all purely chance?
Yes, there is some skill involved, let me give you some examples:

If you are playing Black Jack, you get 9-6 and the dealer has J-6, even if your hand is lower you will not ask for another card because you know the dealer has to hit for another card, and if that card is 6 or bigger he will bust.

Now let's say you are playing poker, you have QQ in your hand, the river is, A5K and the other player in the table goes all-in, even if your QQ is a great hand since there is an A and a K on the table you should not pay that all-in.

Now let's say you are playing dice, and you find an algorithm to win big, then with the right skills you can make a betting bot with JS following your algorithm steps and use it to bet.

614  Economy / Gambling / Re: Casino Junket Operator on: October 16, 2023, 10:54:54 PM
The last casino i saw with this kind of rewards was Betnomi, sadly they walked away, but users were able to get a tesla in the last VIP level, and that's a nice prize, but to be real, wager the amount to win that tesla was just insane, I'm not sure but it was something close to $50 millions, so, not easy at all.

You should look at the different VIP programs in different casinos, for sure one of them have those kind of rewards.
615  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: More secure ways of storing bitcoin? on: October 16, 2023, 03:34:40 PM
I think cold wallets are the right way for big businesses to storage their Bitcoins, they should have hot wallets with the coins that they are using, but the ones that are just for holding would go on a cold one, which means they don't even have the private key loaded in a wallet, those are address with coins and with a private key on a safety box.

If they hold a big amount in the hot wallet that means they are risking those funds which is not a wise move. A good example was the hack on Stake some weeks ago.

618  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: My crypto news site - cryptotalk.tech on: October 14, 2023, 02:25:38 PM
You're using WordPress which is good

really? I think that Wordpress is not the best.
And in the crypto world there are people who like to hack a site.

Not only in the crypto world that is sure.

No one says Wordpress is the best, i know there are other CMS like drupal, joomla, and others. But for this project, i feel like WordPress was the right tool to use, at least it worked fine for me and the site is full-auto.

We know internet is not a safe place, and hackers gonna hack. But that's why i always update the tools to use the last version, that's the secure way. And even if someone hack the site that wouldn't be a big deal because users don't need to be registered in the site to see the news, so, users are not risking their credentials with my service.
619  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: My dice strategy for quick 1.5x on: October 13, 2023, 08:25:58 PM
I’m sharing my dice strategy that I’ve been trying for a few days with good results but also high risk. It can eat your entire bankroll if you lose three times in a row!
Here’s how it works:

Bet: 5% of bankroll
On win: Start with base bet
On lose: increase bet by 300%
Payout: 0.2X

You can make a quick 1.50x if you want to risk your bankroll or you can set stop loss to protect your bankroll. I once doubled my bankroll but after losing 3-4 bets in a row i lost it all,
sometimes that losing streak of 3 in a row comes in initial bets sometimes it takes time,
and the longer you play, the more likely that losing streak of 3 will come.

This is a losing method because even if you hit that x1.2 on the last step of your martingale you don't recover the initial balance, let's say we start with 100

Bet - payout - balance
5 - 0 - 95
15 - 0 - 80
45 - 54 - 89
...

As we can see after a win our current balance is 89, so, we are slowly losing all our money... but the way to profit is to get a green rin without losses, but betting 5 on x1.2 only gives us 1 as profit, so, to make that x1.5 on our balance we need a really lucky run. with more than 100 bets and avoid losing 3 consecutive times.
