1  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Need advise on what to do with this S9 on: Today at 07:19:15 PM
Yeah, the difference in price between sending a faulty unit back for repair
or buying a new unit is not that big these days.

5  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Need advise on what to do with this S9 on: October 17, 2018, 04:26:25 PM
It was a bitmain power supply - a very old one. The big box one which they don't sell any longer. APW 3 I think. I'm not sure.

I'm looking at the hash board and I don't see any real damage to the board itself.

The question now is - whether I should send this to bitmain to repair or not.

The psu looks to be Bitmain APW3++ model?
6  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Intake fan slow on S9 ? Which is fan 6 and fan 3 ?? Tried new PSU... on: October 17, 2018, 12:45:42 PM
Do you have a spare fan?

You could try changing the fan.
7  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Intake fan slow on S9 ? Which is fan 6 and fan 3 ?? Tried new PSU... on: October 17, 2018, 12:26:12 PM
You can check the fan connector name by having a close look at the control board.

See the markings (FAN1, FAN2, FAN3, FAN4, FAN5, FAN6).

I guess there might be something wrong with you cooling fan that is connected to the connector FAN6.

I just can't figure out why they are ditching the old Pinidea name and come up with this new Dayun name.

Sounds truly like a nice idea, I agree that there is also the tribute side in the name.
16  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: AvalonMiner 921 released - 20 TH/s @ 1800W on: October 14, 2018, 06:52:15 PM
Cool,
but I would be very careful with that model name with the US customers. If you know what I mean.
