1  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: (Review/Guide) AvalonMiner 821 11.0 Th/s, 1200W Bitcoin (SHA-256) ASIC miner on: April 28, 2024, 02:36:32 PM
@deusopus
Sorry for a late reply, I'm not too frequently active here nowadays.
Can you post your Cgminer API log? And I mean the full log one (there was a tick box or something to choose less or more detailed log).
2  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Which Old Miners did You Like? on: April 21, 2023, 10:27:46 PM
Choosing favorites from all generations and manufacturers and models which I've tried... Oof that is a tough question! Cheesy

I'm gonna reply with my current gut feeling and say Antminer S2 and Avalon 841!

I liked the big 19" server case and big cards in S2, it cooled very effectively with not much fan speed/noise. The size of it is also an important memory, I really felt being in the mining biz when I had such a big box in the shelf! Cheesy

A841 I like it for all the tweaking I've done with it and its tank like structure.

Which miners sucked the most you might ask... i'm gonna say that Ebang Ebit gear was very rubbish and they had poor customer service.

@braa77
Is the switch device and ETH cable in ok condition?
Have you tried another device in place of the A1246 to see if same problem occurs?
4  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Avalon 1246 warranty check on: November 10, 2022, 10:22:37 PM
Nice, thanks x93. Smiley

This was one of the rare occasions when there was a really good reason to wake up an old thread.

@cmccue49
Is your Antminer R1 model the one which can do Bitcoin mining?
I guess that firmware update is created for the R1 Bitcoin model.

After -o comes the pool server address and after -u your username.

Please see the instructions which are referred at sidehack's opening post (Kano's instructions https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5355470.msg58200639#msg58200639 ).

@the_king_of_net

At this point, I don't think that Canaan is going to develope new firmwares for the 9 series.

10  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Aladdin T1, DragonMint T1 and Innosilicon T1 is same? on: July 18, 2022, 01:46:52 PM
Yes, they are all manufactured by Innosilicon and are based on the same tech.

I remember laughing when back in the DragonMint release days I pointed the similarities between DragonMint T1 and Innosilicon hardware design. My comments made some DragonMint staff quite mad towards me. Cheesy

Now it is quite easy to see how right I was all along.
11  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Where to fix your Asic miners. on: July 16, 2022, 10:05:27 AM
I think that a repair company should not accept an order, if they are unable to deliver it within a month.
12  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Ebang 9.2 restart every 26 hours frequently ( need help ) on: July 09, 2022, 09:41:38 AM
Sell the ebit miner and buy another one.

Their software has always been quite wonky.

There are not many people here at the forum, who own a ebit miner.

i got into the controller

but how does the controller talk to the pool?

Choose a pool, and configure it to the controller by following my A821 guide (you can find it below in my signature space).

@deusopus
Is your pc in the same subnet?

Maybe you can manually set your pc ip to a free ip in that subet, e.g. 10.3.0.10 to reach the avalon.

17  Economy / Computer hardware / [sold!!] Canaan AvalonMiner 841 (low power firmware, 8 Th/s) Bitcoin ASIC +psu on: June 16, 2022, 11:42:44 AM
Hello ladies and gents,
I'm selling one AvalonMiner 841 with Raspberry Pi + AUC3 dongle controller set and a Enermax psu (Revolution 87+, 1000 Watt).
It is a sha-256 algorithm miner (Bitcoin, Bitcoin Cash, ...).

Some things about the miner:
- It has been running without problems.
- I've been using it with low level settings & firmware, with 8Th/s hash rate and about 700W power consumption.
- I've installed a Noctua industrialPPC 3000rpm pwm fan. The original fan is also included in the set.

Something to notice about the psu:
- One of the psu 6-pin cables has been glued in to the Avalon, because the clip has been broken.
- Cooling fan has been renewed and so the psu comes with a SilentiumPC fan installed.

I'm asking 200 EUR plus shipping for this set.

@MoparMiningLLC
Yes, it is available. My electricity here in Finland has gotten so expensive that I must sell this gear.

By using www.shipit.fi (cheapest parcel shop available for me), I can get a UPS delivery for 50 EUR.
