1  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Andrew Tate just bought 50 BTC on: November 06, 2025, 09:57:47 PM
From what I'm aware of he's a trader and as long as he didn't go leverage
Then there's nothing he should be scared about.
The last time I saw his post was some weeks ago when he stated Bitcoin going to $27K
But I think something made him change his mind.
We still have a possibility in creating another ATH this year.

Fingers crossed.
2  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Has US government really started Bitcoin investment reserve. on: November 06, 2025, 07:47:47 PM
But if I may asked, does every country who intend to have a Bitcoin reserve buy? Is it actually a must?
Is like saying does every country that intend to have Gold as a strategic reserve buy?
Yes they do not just rely on confiscated asset
It shows they trust whatever asset they making their Reserve.

Quote
And inasmuch they do not sell but how on to it long term,
It's kinda free. That doesn't mean they would hold it indefinitely.
3  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Has US government really started Bitcoin investment reserve. on: November 06, 2025, 06:26:29 PM
I still don't understand the difference between what they are doing now
and what they did some years ago
The difference they just gave it a name.
If they really plan on making Bitcoin a strategic reserve they should have atleast started buying
But I'm sure to them it's too expensive and would prefer to shake weak hands
So they can get cheaper.
4  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Biggest Challenges Stopping Bitcoin from Going Mainstream? on: November 06, 2025, 06:19:49 PM
Bitcoin major challenge is awareness and people understanding what money really is
They are so used to the fact of trusting the government and relying on a degrading fiat
That others starts looking risky.

Quote
Price swings, confusing technology, government rules, and environmental concerns all make it harder to adopt.
Confusing technology how? government rules how? It would be nice if you elaborated on these.
On its price swing, I believe you speaking about it's volatility.
Volatility is usually found on young assets even fiat experienced high volatility during the 70's
And the recent was the finanacial crisis of 2008
Which opened many eyes to the need of a decentralized currency.

Really hope and want to believe you talking about your account and not the user behind just like Lauda did.
The fact it's posted on off-topic and not on reputation is scary.

Edit

The signature space is been updated and it's done wrongly which means the one in control isn't familiar with the forum.
6  Economy / Economics / Re: Cryptocurrencies in the hands of rogue countries—risks for cryptocurrencies? on: November 05, 2025, 09:45:53 PM
Terrorism financing has been ongoing even way before Bitcoin inception.
Cash is more anonymous than Bitcoin.

It's inevitable that we will face stricter regulations as Bitcoin gets bigger
So they can properly control citizens funds as it has always been.

The funding of terrorist organization and criminal activity isn't the reason but a means to justify their action.
7  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Remember, remember the 5th of November on: November 05, 2025, 08:20:04 PM
Bullets are better. What they have to do is make people forget.
Let them stay comfortable with the status quo and if not let them misuse the idea.

As long as there's control and centralization, the seed and desire for freedom would always persist.
We just have to be willing to fight.
8  Local / Politics and society (Naija) / Re: Trump news abt invading 9ja affecting crypto market on: November 05, 2025, 08:07:06 PM
This has nothing to do with Bitcoin performance. October set the pace that we entering a bearish momentum.
To be sincere I doubt even if Trump declares war on Nigeria it would have any effect on Bitcoin.
Sometimes I feel we too accommodating and not prone to violence when it comes international
Which is good in a way.
9  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Where are all this bitcoin coming from? on: November 05, 2025, 07:31:06 PM
Dormancy doesn't mean the adresss can't receive Bitcoin but that it hasn't spent any UTXO
For a certain period of time in this case 9 years.

Quote
So If those addresses are inactive, where is the bitcoin that we're added coming from.
External sources and they are mostly dust attack to track the address.

Quote
For instance the first address https://bitinfocharts.com/bitcoin/address/1FeexV6bAHb8ybZjqQMjJrcCrHGW9sb6uF has 79,957 + bitcoins, which first deposit was on 2011-03-01
The address above is the one that was linked to Mt Gox stolen Bitcoin and hadn't moved since it was deposited.
But from what I could recall the Mt Gox hack too place in June 2011.
So could be wrong.

The last deposit was a dust. Malicious actors can send dust to track ownership or for scam attempt in claiming ownership.

Quote
and who initiated the transactions.
The wallet address that you saw did it.
Bitcoin is pseudonymous so you can't track who's behind an address easily.
10  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is bitcoin a productive capital? on: November 05, 2025, 09:50:15 AM
Bitcoin is money. I don't understand why he would consider it such
But Bitcoin is first money and other attributes are just secondary effect of it been a decentralized money.

If it was Ethereum then I would understand his view especially with respect to DEFI and creating tokens.
11  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: The Responsibility of your crypto is in your hands on: November 04, 2025, 06:08:35 PM
I don't know I see it from the angle that he's having issue with our regulation
How it's lapsed and KYC are not projected.
Cryptocurrency is relatively new and laws on dispute are still fresh
I guess their focus is extorting from citizens rather than finding a way to protect them.

In the end, It seems we advocating for some level of centralization.
12  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why Refund Policies Discourage Merchants From Adopting BTC As Payments. on: November 04, 2025, 06:01:32 PM
Most merchant haven't even thought passed volatility not to mention thinking of a refund policy.
If they want a refund, they can request for it to be sent
I see no reason how Bitcoin confirmation affects it's adoption.

Adoption is usually plagued by volatility not refund policy.
13  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🚀🚀🚀 bet105.ag | Best Odds in the Game | Low Juice & Winners Welcome 🏈⚾⚽🏀⚾ on: November 03, 2025, 09:33:40 PM
I used my freebet that was awarded to me and won but the amount isn't reflecting on my balance.
Any idea why?
Has this been credited or are you still experiencing the issue and have you been able to contact live support yet?
The live support section is disabled don't know how or why or if I should message them via email.
Believe that would grant a slower response
I tried inputting an amount and it seems I can place bet
But the total amount I have isn't reflecting on the dashboard .
14  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoins are the silent killer of Bitcoin on: November 03, 2025, 08:25:00 PM
In a nutshell you saying Bitcoin needs ETFs to succeed and it not growing lies in the hands of ETFs.
Yes some funds that would have gone to bitcoin are channeled to altcoins
But how can Bitcoin show it's difference and superiority if there isn't anything to compete with.

currently what Bitcoin is facing that's affecting it is the supposed institutional adoption and government unwarranted interest.
15  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🚀🚀🚀 bet105.ag | Best Odds in the Game | Low Juice & Winners Welcome 🏈⚾⚽🏀⚾ on: November 03, 2025, 06:39:03 AM

Check if you have any pending bets. Maybe your bet hasn't been settled yet.
Bets are usually settled once the matches end, but I have experienced some short delays a few times.

If it's been some time since the match has ended and your bet has not been settled yet, you may need to contact the support, though that's very unlikely.
The live chat is disabled which is weird in my opinion and No the bet hasn't been settled.

First time I'm experiencing such from a casino. And it would have been easier if the live chat was active.
16  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🚀🚀🚀 bet105.ag | Best Odds in the Game | Low Juice & Winners Welcome 🏈⚾⚽🏀⚾ on: November 02, 2025, 11:36:49 PM
I used my freebet that was awarded to me and won but the amount isn't reflecting on my balance.
Any idea why?
The last game that I placed on ended by 11.

I received another free bet.
Thank you so much bet105 and Upgrade00.

I went with a parlay of three matches. Unfortunately, I wasn't lucky this time and I lost my free bet.
Sorry for your loss. It's usually annoying when low odds are the reason your bets are lost.
17  Economy / Speculation / Re: At this point, btc almost an unprofitable investment on: November 02, 2025, 10:56:08 PM
From my research is possible to buy Bitcoin in satoshi and isn't compulsory to own a full Bitcoin
And it's possible to buy at interval.

Quote
we can almost say that something that once symbolized financial freedom for everyone has now become more like an elite asset,
It still represent financial freedom for every one and it's price doesn't change that
Since one can get it at any reasonable amount.

wealth equalizer dream today.
this is so unrealistic. There would always be disparity. Everybody can be equally wealthy
They might be given same opportunities doesn't mean they would all be equal
18  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Core discussion forum on: November 02, 2025, 01:26:32 PM

To give you just one of many examples, there were many many negative comments in the Core 30 announcement thread pinned on this section. They all got deleted and only the two posts positive towards core remained. Now some negative comments were posted again. Let's see how long before those get deleted too.
Just checked out the thread and I saw it's self moderated.
And if you read the top you would see this.

Quote
This is a self-moderated topic. If you do not want to be moderated by the person who started this topic, create a new topic
It's quite a normal situation
Once you post in such thread, you already agreed that the creator can moderate your post

And the thread moderators actions doesn't represent Bitcointalk.

I can create a self moderated post and when I feel someone is going off Imo or something I can choose to delete.

So Bitcointalk doesn't censor posts.

Quote
Who's acknowledging censorship?
How you feeling is how some feel about the strict filter of knot and definition of spam.

There's a likelihood this thread would be moved because it has nothing to do with Bitcoin.
19  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Core discussion forum on: November 02, 2025, 12:55:19 PM
We already have a Bitcoin core fork
Now a Bitcointalk alt
I guess next would be a Bitcoin fork.

Quote
Due to too much censorship on this forum
I haven't really experienced such and would help if you throw more like on why you believe the forum censors post.

P. S quite related to the knot and core debate. Now the case are reverse and we acknowledging censorship
And I believe the other side would say you spamming.

Sometimes we just have to switch shoes to understand anothers POV.
If it helps I enjoy seeing your perspective. It helps limits bias.

20  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Scam trick to password reset with phising link using 'rn' instead of 'm' on: November 01, 2025, 04:52:50 PM
I Saw Microsoft Cry . I only noticed it was rn when I saw you added text.
The only saving grace for me would be the fact I don't click links in mails.
But it's a really smart strategy and would work well if they individual isn't well focused.
Phishing still remains one of the most known scam and still very much effective.
