But seriously, I was just naming the first uber-bull I could think of and mean no disrespect by it.
TBH I am pretty uber bull when it comes to long term. Short term I day trade and I'd lose a lot of money if I was always bull.

just because CoinableS assumes that Draper paid over market, for instance, does not mean that Draper paid over market.
Don't lie! I never said he paid over market. I only suggested his bid was more than Pantera's.
|
|
|
I'm guessing Pantera got zero since they said they bid under market price, if Draper only ended up with 2,000

Pantera drawing lines and posting TA. Very bullish!

The suspense..

Is killing me!

Question... The Winklevoss twins say that Bicoins will be worth greater than $100,000... but they decided not to bid on coins they could arguably get below market. Why?
Because they already own 100k+. They don't need more to become very, very rich. Perhaps it's because they a lot of time and capital tied up in the ETF right now and an auction isn't on top of their priority list. That's my guess.

Before today 10PM GMT, according to Pantera
Or earlier... Dan Morehead @dan_pantera · 13h 13 hours ago
Bidding closed for US Marshals #Bitcoin auction. Pantera placed bids below the market. Results out tomorrow by 2pm PST. Probably earlier.

Yea article posted today, but that article was written in July. That website is just a article web ring that shows the first paragraph of an article and then a million ads.

Some additional info would be helpful OP. Am I reading this right? As the candles approach or breach the bottom of the purple band then it's a good time to go long, and when it hits the top edges of the band it's a good time to short, that's what this is trying to indicate, correct? What's the light blue band? It looks like a lagging indicator like an EMA but much fatter.

wow price dumped back to the fair price Fair price? Think lower, bro oh dear... you were right, difficulty drop that changes everything... yep fair price is now 330-340 A 0.73% drop will equate to a price drop just like the 16% difficulty increase in September resulted in the price sky rocketing.

That is about the last auction, the 30k one. Don't know why they write about it now though... The URL is only 29 mins old. Says Friday's auction. Today is Thursday so it can't be for todays auction.

Stay in cash even if you close your short positions.
Or stay in BTC. I don't want to move everything to fiat and then miss a possible 10x take off, despite how remote that is. If it drops down to $200, big deal I'll gather up more fiat and buy more BTC. But if the price surges I'll be super bummed. I don't have a constant supply of BTC coming in every month like I do with USD. It makes more sense for me to sit in BTC. But you mentioned losing a house worth of money so it sounds like you are trading with a much larger balance than I.

We need to jump this gap from techie users to facebook/twitter average level users. It's like we're in the apple II days of bitcoin where you can't use the computer unless you use the command line, or the DOS days of PC where you need to know command lines. An average user comes in and they start hearing "decentralized", "blockchain", "private key", "P2P", "cryptography", "cold storage" and all these other words they haven't heard before. Circle and Coinbase is the way to jump this gap IMO, but with that comes some level of centralization of 3rd parties holding your keys and handling the backend for those that are overwhelmed with trying to understand it themselves.

Draper will tweet it if he wins one or more of the bids. He loves being in the BTC spot light.

LOL, okay Citi says the coins are going to go for a steep discount, must sell all my coins, after all they are bitcoin experts Which thought is correct? (a) They should go for somewhat of a discount because it's an auction, and they are buying in bulk. OR (b) They should go for a bit over the current price because one couldn't simply buy that large amount of coins regularly without causing major slippage.

You guys ever thought about writing some Christmassy Bitcoin jingles to promote your coin of choice? Something like... On the first day of Christmas my true love sold to me One valuable bitcoin! On the etc., etc. Try it! Musical fun for the whole Bitcoin family, and no one will notice that Dad has lost all of the family do re mi & there's nothing but under the plastic tree! Ughh... wut? Let's have a little talk about tweetle beetles.... What do you know about tweetle beetles? Well... When tweetle beetles fight, it's called a tweetle beetle battle. And when they battle in a puddle, it's a tweetle beetle puddle battle. AND when tweetle beetles battle with paddles in a puddle, they call it a tweetle beetle puddle paddle battle.

Next 6KBTC is due. Where they are?
Putting it towards the auction instead on Thursday?

I am buying and maxing my bank account until the limit my banker would ask me some antimoneylaundering questions....
The low volatility is weird.
We've got some tiny but steady green candles on the 1D chart. My gut tells me we're going to shoot up in the next day or so and have that 3D EMA cross over we've been waiting for, but I'm not confident enough to go into a long position.
