Does the CPU matter , or the amount of memory is most important. I wonder 32GB of RAM or 16GB would be enough with 6 core AMD CPU Phenom 1055T
Its plenty. With a lot of ram you can take advantage of large stagger sizes - thus reducing stress to the disk. While plotting CPU power is most important, after that only disk space matters. I didnt get how long the plotting process takes and should the hdd have to have separate partition for plotting... Probably I could use SSHDs , but are they better for burst ? theyll write quicker but i dont beleive it makes a difference for mining. |

Could we use an usb external drive/ drives?
Of cause you can. USB 3.0 drives are best, but USB 2.0 is also fine. With enough ram you might want to run a separate miner for each drive. Friend as I am to mine that currency with the open wallet as I do now? Ill release the final version soon, be patient  Ok  thx CAN SOMEONE HELP ME  ?? you need to have the wallet server running to mine. you can generate without the wallet running. edit: but have a miner going on each drive that is connected to the same computer (localhost) the wallet is running on |

is this c++ plot generator working or not ?
it doesn't for me, the plot mine give me an error if i use that c plot generator Since we got no source, I'm testing it on an old laptop. It seem to plot fine, but since I haven't got internet on the laptop, I don't know if the plots actually will be able to mine. yes thats my point... will it be able to mine ? im getting double speed too on creating it is faster for me too. the only way i can tell to know if its working is your deadline decreases? where i can find it ? i cant mine cause im still generating plots you can mine WHILE you generate plots. |

how do you use this?
Usage: plot.exe <public key> <start nonce> <nonces> <stagger size> are those switches you run with the program? where do you put those? i run it and it doesnt do anything Put this in cmd or create bat file. can't run it, bat file with plot.exe address 0 800000 8000 sorry, Usage: plot.exe <public key> <start nonce> <nonces> <stagger size> <threads count>ever since i started running this newplotter im getting a error message and can no longer mine.... has anyone seen this error?  |

is there a merge tool ive read about to fix your plots. when i started i didnt know what i was doing and this is how i did the plots

news for the client to generate PLOT written in C for windows?
where new plot generator for windows? i mean on C++
dcct plot generator for Windows: https://www.dropbox .com/s/4f11ppjnil6qpjg/plotgen_win.rar?dl=0 x2 speed on my Core i7 - ~58Gb\hour 58 isn't x2, my i5 is doing 40gb already with the standard miner And my i7 was doing approx 115Gb/hr using dcct's plotter and Ubuntu. Possibly more than that, it took around 24 hours to plot 3TB. that's better i was getting like 1500 nonce/m now im getting like 2849. yay no more 36 hour per TB >.< |
