Sorry for all disturbing Cheesy

But i find new problem:

Some long time ago i use pocminer_V1 for solo mining.. And

i put my password into PASSPHRASE.TXT than click on DUMB_ADRESS.BAT and i get this: 152566XXXX1616XX
I lose my password and i only have that number now.

Dont you now how to get my password from this number ?

No thats why it says when you make it to keep it secure.. thats the only way to login to your wallet.
very unlikely you can crack a 12 word passphrase.

Password may be in address.txt too

I chek it but there wasnt "adress.txt" file. Maybe i deleted it Sad Sad Sad

youre going to have to start a new wallet then.. unless you wanted to try to do data recovery that might recover your .txt files.

WOW, so all of a sudden, my rackserver will not plot... no matter what. Wont' work with plot.exe, will not work with usual java plotter. It just simply will not plot... I would love some assistance here... I'm getting very frustrated...

The plot.exe just sits there and never gets to the point where it shows how fast it's plotting, etc.

The java plotter gives me this...

can someone help please!!!@!@

were you solo mining and then switched to pool or vice versa?

Yes, I was pooled, switched back to solo today.

Did you copy your plots to the plot folder in the solo miner folder?
Did you visit http://localhost:8125/rewardassignment.html and link your password back to your address? but that should not affect generation
How about changing threads to 7 from 8? I'm reaching here.

Yea, I did all those things, haven't tried changing thread count. I will try that now.

edit: changing cores did nothing.

May have a faulty drive. Can you read and write to each one?
Did you get 4 confirms when relinking password to address?
Did you use the correct address?

yea all of the other machines and drives mining to same wallet are fine. It's just plotting the last 800GB on this drive that is causing these issues. I may move the drive to a new machine and try to finish it like that... Not really sure what else to do... This is a really weird problem.

The drive seems fine, I guess a bad sector could be causing it, but that seems a little out of the realm here... I don't know... stupid.

Grab sea tools and do a scan on it. I prefer parted magic for drive testing, but for windows Sea tools is quick and easy to do a surface scan. If you wanted to burn a hour you could know forsure with a extended scan

I'm referring to the back line faults in the Java code that allow hackers to basically reroute mining coins to their own wallets.  It's a fairly well known Java fault, but only in this coin mining case is it useful for anything, so I'm not surprised it was never heard of for the most part until now.

Can you please give some citations describing these faults?

I love how this was clearly ignored for a page and a half. Obviously we dont care about FUD. but i would like to see some a reference as well.

so everyone who has nonce 1-1,000,000 will have a different deadline right?

Did you use a different address for each drive?

my question was if everyone had a different address but used the same nonce will the deadline be random or because i started a 0 like everyone else were all having the same dealine?

my wallet has a dozen harddrives from 0- to like 50million~
this too is something i wondered. so judging on whats been said already running 1 hdd theoretically as 5 plots nonce 0-100 101-200 201-300 3001-400 401-500 although correct no overlaps would not be as good as say 100 random small plot files of say nonce 0-10 50-60 500-510 and so on totally random. (it was my thought the 0-100 was just "slots" in which a nonce was placed like aisles and shelf numbers in a warehouse.)

so if everyone starts at nonce 0 pretty much whoever gets further in the nonces will have different deadlines than everyone else or are they unique per account id?

only one receipient address though
Wouldn't it be possible to mine on multiple v2 pools at once... by listing your local address followed by each pool link like this:

java -cp pocminer_pool.jar;lib/*;lib/akka/*;lib/jetty/* pocminer_pool.POCMiner mine myhost:port pool1:port pool2:port

i too just switched to solo mining,

i thought you used to see a deadline while solo mining? what happened to it?

i didn't see any wrong with it,., it is normal, the deadline only show when prepared to submit shares, then will show the deadline, and this deadline determined whether you will get the block

okay. so there is really never a change in the scrolling screen.. for multiple computers if i dont set a static or im on a different network i need to be running the wallet on the local host right?

and what happens when you find a block? 10k poof into your wallet or anything on the screen?
1.you can change the conf/nxt.defaultp... add the ip you want to connet to your wallet,  nxt.allowedBotHosts,nxt.apiServerHost or what ever, i didn't try it, they told me at first, i remember these two place, you can search the post of dev.. this can makes you open one wallet and all of your miners share it
2. when you submit the share, you will see the deadline, one block will submit once, it will take several minutes, becuase every block is 4 minutes.you won't see any info when you get the block, the only thing is deadline, if your deadline is arroud 240, then you should have found a block, (this may not accurate, because some one may have less deadline, then the block is his, the lowest deadline owner will get the block)
3. the award should not be the 10k now, because it has passed one month, and the award decreased the 5%, should 9500 now

what makes someone have a lower deadline than someone else?  each one of my 1tb harddrives look like they all have the same deadline ( running over a dozen instances)
if all your miners shares the same deadline, you must check your plots, they may overlap and these plots are the same, every nouce have different info, the miner scan all your plots and choose the smallest deadline to the sever, deadline means you can get the block within this times, for excample, if your deadline is 240 that means 4 minutes later you will get the block, but at this time, other's deadline is 3 minute, he will found the block eariler then you, the deadline is just your luck, not determined by the size of your plots, if you are luck, you can still get the block with 1MB, every nounce has a deadline, then will choose a nounce with the least deadline, with more nounce, you have more chance, it is the same as lottery

ok no over lap when i said that they just all looked the same ya kow ~200,000 more or less. i was assuming with more TB the deadline would get lower. thank you for your explanation

is there fireworks or anything that show up when you get the block Smiley or do i just check my wallet from time to time

i too just switched to solo mining,

i thought you used to see a deadline while solo mining? what happened to it?

i tried solo but the deadline i submitted is like 10 - 100 times i submit to pool. I tried it for around 10 blocks but the deadline is really high. Not sure if solo can read plot properly. i went back to pool.

LOL i forgot to move my plots! thanks yellow duck

where should the plot be for solo mine ?

for pool mining in the poc pool mining plot folder.. for solo.. in the pocminer plot folder  or you could shortcut/symlink

dead coin is dead Undecided

Really with over 8000 posts just discussing mostly about mining and technicals of the coin and its dead lol?

The only thing that brings everyone together in crypto is mining, this must be the first thread with over 8000 posts that has not seen any trolls, drama, crying little shits. 8000 posts of pure nerds and geeks  Grin

Now that's crypto!

no i think we can count him as the first troll!
